Every Saturday and Sunday I go to the clinic to do an alcohol test - because being controlled is the only thing that keeps me sober (this plan was my idea, yes, I got praised for this by the staff 🙌🏻). So today when I went there, I asked to have a talk and confessed that I relapsed. I'm proud that I was honest. Even prouder that I stopped the relapse. I didn't continue drinking today - I genuinely didn't want to which is new.
The nurse thanked me for my honesty and offered that next time I can come over before I relapse and stay the night. Not sure if I'll manage to do that but I can try and it's good to have this option.

Y’all better not be weird towards Aryan about that damn wedding dress and I mean it.
The fandom is rightfully protective of Leah and what she brings to the series portraying Annabeth as a Black person and I want us to keep that same energy for Aryan as an Asian person portraying Grover.
This goes for the book fan adaptation purists, ie “Aryan has to wear the wedding dress it’s how the cyclops doesn’t notice he’s a satyr and that’s a plot hole!!!”
But also the “Aryan would look good in a dress I can picture it now…” crowd. (not focusing on the sexualizing aspect right now as that’s a given)
To make myself very clear: there is a long history of Asian men media being emasculated in media. Especially when it’s meant to be funny, especially when they are not the main character/romantic lead.
In light of this, the PJO fandom should be aware that criticisms, compliments or jokes leveled at Aryan—if he wears the dress at all, how good it or he looks, how Grover goes about tricking Polyphemus—can and likely will come off differently because of this historical context. Be mindful. Please and thank you.

I don’t get chatty much on here but I’ve been considering typing up an “at-a-glance” list of the 6 methods of disposition for humans currently available in my state since we are making great strides in implementing the more recent methods that have been introduced.
And also including average cost because as interesting and pioneering something like composting/terramation is, it is still a specialized service that doesn’t come cheap.
The purpose would basically just be a glorified list to do some further looking into if interested. Brevity being key here.

I got selected to be part of a committee to decide who gets into a queer arts festival and I'm glad that I'm doing it and I'm getting some money from it but HOOO BOY is it a lot of work. We just did a 2.5 hour Zoom call and we only got through about half of the submissions. This is after the 3 hours it took me to review submissions. Truly a labor of love but I'm excited to see it all come together!

[ I would like to take a moment before I answer a couple asks to remind y'all that, in the default point in time for Thoth's main verse, he's already been quasi-possessed and is actively being manipulated by Apep- the big baddie of Egyptian myth. Enjoy this info. ]
