in my heart there's another probably worse universe where instead of the watchers taking off after evo, etho's writers from 404 became the highly misunderstood "i am fictionalizing and poking fun at my relationship with my audience & their perceptions of me and how i am motivated by them but not in a 1:1 cause and effect relationship and they are kind of obnoxious but i also care abt my literal audience liking what i do bc i do make stuff for youtube" fandom staple.
there's something substantial in here abt grian being SUPER particular abt things in a different but parallel way to etho (grian not watching other smp member's POVs and being open abt that bc it allows for genuine surprise, etho's like everything ever? but top of mind his old insistence against modded stuff, comment of the day, etc.) but honestly. can anyone who actually cares abt the watchers or whatever write me a 404 crossover. thats what i want

etho was once again quite active in the chat of bdubs' latest stream, being the nr1 bdubs fan that he is, and i once again felt the need to compile as many chat messages that i could spot from him, being the ethogirl that i am.
context: etho finding out that bdubs gave away speedy supreme
context: etho being a scar apologist i guess. (in reality doc was flying over bdubs' base with a flying machine, holding a live-shulker. & doc was panicing about bdubs flying too close to the machine/shulker)
context: etho plugging his favourite piece of bdubs merch! go get yourself a pink hoodie that was specifically made for etho <3
context: etho's comeback to bdubs saying he's a horse whisperer, while he also just mentioned the mod he uses to see a horse's speed + that there was a vanilla way to measure the speed of a horse, used by etho, if u were willing to take the time to ride each horse through a million cobwebs.
context: horse rated trash/14 speed by etho xD
context: according to etho, bdubs' height is fake and does not exist. (i don't know how that would work, but etho is never wrong so)
context: bdubs put on the pink hoodie, which was a very exciting moment for etho.
context: bdubs saying that... he was tall where it mattered? in his heart? which resulted in this comeback from etho. (etho is referencing an old vlog bdubs did where he talked about putting lifts in his shoes)
context: bdubs said that part of the reason for the lifts was so that he wouldn't look small next to his wife when she wore high heels. etho did not relent.
context: hermits were telling jokes in the hermitcraft chat and etho wanted to participate.

context: bdubs' mods on their way to "take etho out back" as was requested by bdubs after the height jokes.

becoming an ethogirl because idk theres just something alluring about this absolute enigma of the internet. how did he end up becoming a minecraft youtuber? i barely understand the fact he uses a computer at all. this man belongs off the grid. yet he plays the block game- and is good at it???? as in there are literal mechanics of the game named after him. he's so silly too but he says in his videos all the time that he's not entertaining. and that is simply not true. like yes sometimes he will have 20 second moments of silence in his videos but its just silence for us because we can't commune with the astral plane on command like he can.

having a normal one watching Bdubs lim life tonight and thinking about how when Bdubs betrayed Tango in last life, Skizz told Tango that for the sake of team best he had to go and forgive him.
But when Bdubs boogey kills Skizz in lim life before team ties is even really formed, Skizz is allowed to have it out for Bdubs for almost the entire first half of the season, even when the clockers ally with them and it would've been easier to let sleeping dogs lie.
Tango, the perpetually extraneous and undervalued member of his alliances...the too often shoved aside and betrayed...being told it was his duty to the team to forgive bdubs and move on....
But no one—especially not Tango—tried to tell Skizz to let it go.
#and like. now im thinking about how no one is ever really ride or die for tango. ever#people are allied with him but no one PRIORITIZES him#as a team rancher fan myself id be tempted to argue Jimmy is but you can just as easily point to how that was in a way self serving#and I dont just mean with the soulmate mechanic so worrying about tango was worrying about himself for jimmy#but i mean it in the way of jimmy was so worried about tango because#jimmy was worried about HIMSELF being the thing that hindered him and dragged him down#whihc is not to say that jimmy didnt also worry about tango#but it is to say that the dl rule set played heavily on jimmys insecurities and fears#he was most of the time worried about himself. YES because of how that affected tango. but also because it served his guilt complex#and so his intentions were colored by that as someone whos incredibly willing to make himself the problem whenevr he sees fit#whihc is again nothing on him hes my fave ya know i love the guy#i just mean even in double life where by design it shouldve happened tango wasnt made anyones top priority#not in the way that we come to see it across many other pairs. not in the obsessive worrying about his safety#or just in the general Being Weird About Each Other Way#sure you could argue skizz and tango last life...tango was for a while skizzs priority—until skizz shifted his sights to team best#even when team best wasnt giving their all backt o him that was skizzs focus#and if tango were really his priority over the wellbeing of the team such as it was for bdubs and etho#skizz wouldnt have tried to make tango forgive bdubs after he was betrayed#skizz wouldnt have kept asking tango to give more and more to a team he got little if not nothing out of over and over.....just#GAH! NO ONES EVER DEVOTED TO TANGO!!! NO ONE EVER CHOOSES TANGO TO BE THEIR //PERSON// THEIR. It's so funny that so many of the hermits are just so "the hell is a real name? Your name clearly says Beans" at Joel that even the hermits that have known him for years now are reverting back to it.
