someone has to say it. etho is a horrifically unreliable narrator. probably as much as scar is. he’s just sneakier about it so people are less likely to expect it and more likely to fall for his facades

i do love that there's someone in the tags of The Poll now talking about how the characters in g-witch are underdeveloped when they're on episode *checks notes*... three. because all great shows finish up their characters' arcs in episode two, obviously.

The companions only play cards when Astarion has had a really bad day because, like, he’s going to cheat. Everyone knows he’s going to cheat. But it makes him so happy to do it and hey at least it’s an easier way of making him Happy than letting him eat somebody.

really liking ik's dynamic with raphael already and i cant get this out of my head for when he becomes an exchange student too
rapheal: this is long overdue. it's time we talked, face to face
lucifer: *prepared for past related angst*
raphael: *walks past him to ik* i have so many questions about sharks for you
i love this.... raphael has found inner peace and learnt to let go of the past through increasingly technical animal facts, to the point where he and ik are learning a whole zoology degree's worth of information
ik will probably still make him talk things out with lucifer and/or simeon at some point, and of course this would be a proper serious discussion - but imagine with me for a moment the comedic hypothetical alternative:
raphael tries to have a serious talk-out of all his guilt (of both the religious and not religious kind), but he keeps accidentally slipping into animal metaphors the whole time. simeon's like "raphael i really appreciate the effort but i do not understand how the migratory patterns of seabirds relate to this"

“The book 6 and 7 overblots are so serious compared to the others because they’re two of the last books in the story, Idia’s family researches blot, and Malleus is already absurdly powerful” WRONG the book 6 and 7 overblots are so serious because they were caused by love. Hope this helps.

[ID: A panel from Trigun Maximum. Wolfwood and Vash, both bedraggled and bloodied, are sitting in the desert. Wolfwood is explaining, "I shot him. I tried to kill him and make it look like an accident. Then I took his place as "Chapel". My plan was eventually to kill Knives." End ID.]
Doylist explanation for the migration of the name "Chapel": Nightow invented Wolfwood as an individual character long before he invented the Eye of Michael and the character of Chapel so he added this story of Wolfwood making the switch and taking Chapel's place, banking on the Gung-Ho Guns only getting the name of the assassin to expect and not a description.
Watsonian explanation: Wolfwood knew that the Gung-Ho Guns had gotten a name but not a description, so as long as he turned up with one of the Eye of Michael's iconic weapons, he'd be golden, and Legato didn't actually give enough of a flying fuck to check in if he'd gotten the right assassin or not

Dear YA Publishing, Marketing, and Design Gremlins:
If you fuckers don’t stop making First Of Series books ENTIRELY VISUALLY INDISTINGUISHABLE from Complete Standalone books I am going to crawl through the air vent in your office and not stop biting until animal control tranquilizes me.
