Hello🙂

You don't need to learn everything in one sitting, witchcraft takes time to learn and even the most advanced practitioner still don't know everything. What you need to do is learn about all the basics of magick. This includes:

What magick is and how it works

Tools

Correspondences of herbs, colors, oils, days and moon phases

Divination

Visualisation

Meditation

Energy work

Grounding and centring

Shadow work

Protecting and cleansing yourself (you need to learn how to protect and cleanse before you do any other spell)

Also trust your inttuition above everything else. Always.

Any tips for getting back into practice? I’m severely lacking in even doing one thing related to my practice daily, or even every other day. Motivation is hard, time and jobs take over, I’m too tired after work, but I don’t wake up early enough either. I recently moved in with my partner and I’m trying to get back on my feet spiritually. I feel closed off from myself, and I don’t have much time alone as my partner and I have the same days off…which only matters because I feel awkward practicing or doing anything for myself if someone else is around. I know half of that is probably just stuff I need to work on alone, but any advice is appreciated!

It's okay and totally normal to not be motivated everyday or have time to cast a spell. witchcraft is not about the big elaborate rituals it's about the little things that we do everyday.

Ritual baths. It doesn't take too much time to make or charge. Just mix herbs and water together.

Sigil magick, you just have to think about what you want to manifest and draw a sign, 3 or 5 drops of your ritual oils if you have them or olive oil and voila a working sigil. Or you could use your foundation or concealer to draw a sigil on ur face.

Tea magick. Self explained I believe 🙃

Choose your outfit using color magick, red for love and confidence, black for protection... ect

Before you go to work do a quick one card tarot reading

If you have plants take care of them,talk to them.. ect

Before you go to bed you could thank the universe or God or deities that you work with.

Cleansing Bath

Ingredients:

Sage

Rosemary

Lavender

Frankincense essential oil

Coconut essential oil

Pink Salt

Epsom salt

one or 5 small white candles to charge

~As you fill your bathtub with water, sprinkle the bath salts into it. Add the essential oils and herbs to it. Light the candle, place it on the edge of the bathtub, or, if you have a bath tray, place them there. Immerse yourself in the bath water, as you do this imagine any unwanted energy flowing out of you and into the water.

~if you don’t have a bathtub, you can take a big bowl and use the same recipe, but only soak your feet inside the bowl

Different types of water and their magickal uses:

Sea water: good for curse/hex breaking, cleansing, healing, banishing and protection spells.

Dew water: beauty, love and fertility spells, as well as delicate magick. Also Good for Fae work.

Storm water: is great for spells and rituals that has to do with emotional strength, confidence, charge, motivation and force. It’s known for strengthening spells. Also good for curses.

Snow water: Spells and rituals that focus on purity, endings and change, as well as slow working spells.

River water: Good for creating changes, moving on and letting go of negativity, warding and focusing energy.

Rain water: Very multi-purpose, but specifically great for growth and rebirth spells. Great for spells that you want to keep gaining power over time.

Spring water: Growth, holy water, cleansing, protection, prosperity

Moon water: Depending on the moon phase it was created in, it can have different properties.

Sun Water: protection, healing, clairvoyance, courage, strength, prosperity, luck, self-love, cleansing and creativity.

Swamp Water: Used for banishing and binding.

Types of Divination

🌙Aeromancy

A means of divination through the interpretation of atmospheric phenomena such as cloud formations, wind currents, rain, fog, lightning, thunder, cosmological events, and positions favorable or unfavorable to the planet.

🌙Cartomancy

A form of divination where you use cards to get the answer to your questions. There are different forms of cartomancy like playing cards, tarot, lenormand and oracle cards.

🌙Osteomancy

Or bone throwing. It's an ancient form of divination used by many cultures. This method consist of throwing the bones and then interpret the results and pattern.

🌙Pendulum

This method consist of observing the subtle movements of the pendulum to gain information about a question, object, or situation.

🌙Scrying

Scrying is divination by seeking a vision while gazing into a transparent, translucent, or reflective object and it's often done by crystal ball gazing, fire scrying, water scrying, mirror scrying, etc.

🌙Astrology

This type of divination interpret movements and relative positions of celestial bodies, and how they influence us. Astrology gives an understanding of situations in our lives, based on our individual astrological birth chart.

🌙Lithomancy

Also known as stone divination, is a form of divination that uses stones or crystals to gain insight into an individual’s future or to provide guidance on a specific issue.

🌙Necromancy

Necromancy is divination through communication with the dead. In this method the practitioner summons or communicate with spirits of the dead in order to gain wisdom.

🌙Ceromancy

The practice of reading the flames and wax of a candle. The candle is lit and the flame examined for clues to the mood and energy surrounding the situation and then the wax is allowed to drip into a bowl of cold water or sometimes onto a piece of paper. The practitioner examines the shapes formed by the melted wax and makes predictions based on his or her interpretation of the shapes.

🌙Tasseography

Is a method of divination where you read pattern and symbols from tea leaves or coffee grounds sediments.

🌙Arithmancy/Numerology

Arithmancy is known as divination using numbers, while numerology is divination through using dates and words turned to numbers. Numerology doesn't require any psychic abilities, instead the method use calculations involving name and birth date numbers.

🌙Palmistry

Palmistry is also referred to as palm reading and is divination through reading and interpreting the lines and structure of the hand. It is common to read the dominant hand as a characterization and also predicting the future.

🌙Bibliomancy

is the divination by randomly chosen passages in books, often religious books or Grimoires. This method consist of picking a random passage from a book to answer a question.

Some Reasons Your Spells Aren’t Working

You didn't give your spell enought time to work.

You don't know what you are doing at all and by this i mean you don't know the correct hour, day, moon phase and herbs to use for your spell. You need to learn before you do anything.

You aren't helping the spell. Magic is meant to be used as a tool to supplement your mundane effort not as a substitute for them. how do you expect to see results of your weight lose spell if you don't workout?

Lack of focus/concentration.

Unclear intention. Whether you write petitions or speak incantations, clearly stating your intention is THE most important part of any spell or ritual. Try to be specific enough to get the results you want.

The spell worked you just didn't notice it.

There is a very, very remote possibility that someone has placed a curse on you specifically to block your magic. However – and I cannot stress this enough – this is VERY uncommon. If you were cursed you would know it, or at least know that something was very wrong in your life.

shadow work isn't witchcraft. "shadow worker" isn't a real witchcraft title, because -- again -- shadow work isn't witchcraft, or folk craft, or related to the occult literally at all. it was co-opted into witchcraft recently. it's a facet of psychology/psycho-analysis invented by Carl Jung to help people going through trauma therapy. since it's not witchcraft: you don't have to do it, you shouldn't put up with being shamed for not doing it, and you should definitely be seeing a therapist -- who has experience with it -- when you attempt it, because it can dredge up some really nasty shit if you're not ready or equipped to handle the fall-out. AND you should start mentioning this and talking about this in every witchcraft/occult space. get people talking about it and researching its history. because lord above if i have one more person talk about shadow work like they're doing something more ethereal or mystical than journaling i'm going to lose my shit. and there are a lot of witchcraft spaces i don't want to get booted from.

Graveyard Etiquette🪦

Before you go protect yourself you don't want a spirit attached to you.

Bring coins as offerings to the gatekeepers.

Bring with you offering for the spirits (food, water, flowers ect...) and leave it by a tree or away from the headstones for the spirits.

Make sure you don't step on anyone and apologiz if you do by accident.

Clean up neglected tombstones.

Ask before you take dirt. Use your intuition or divination to get a response.

Don’t take anything that is left for the dead.

Don't leave trash behind and if you find trash clean it.

Leave the way you came.
