i found out a few of my friends are talking behind my back today. they don’t know that i did and really good friends too. cant cut them out because i don’t want to be the person to tear up the whole group but pretending that everything is okay in front of them is so hard. thank god i’m leaving soon so i won’t see them every day. wanted to ask for advice and if i should try to change my personality and stuff bc of their specific complaints about me or if can i just ignore and trust that they’re just bad friends?

I think it depends on what they were saying. Were they being unnecessarily malicious or were they talking about something you did that hurts them? If it was just them being mean then don’t worry about tearing up the friend group. You deserve friends that don’t talk behind your back and instead support you.

You may have naturally outgrown your relationship. She sounds like she’s getting into a new phase of her life and you’re in a new phase of yours. You don’t have to have a blow out fight and cut each other off but you can slowly make it more of a wishing each other well and happy birthday kind of friendship. You don’t have to feel guilty.
