unfortunately i’m still recovering from “are they second hand embarrassed that i can’t get out of bed ‘cause something counterfeit is dead??” it reminds me of something finally starting to feel like. I’ve Gotten Over it. unfortunately that means i’m looking back at the last couple of years with a clearer eye and going “well that shit was embarrassing and pathetic!!! oops!!”

Death of the Tortured Poet
Taylor Swift and other poets in conversation with Roland Barthes's "The Death of the Author" (1967) and Michel Foucault's "What is an Author?" (1969)
I want to say thank you to @ttpds @youmeetyourself and @ohdorothea. This post would not exist were it not for your musings on the topic, our conversations, and your encouragement. Seriously, thank y'all.

actually the only other song (edit: besides who’s afraid) from ttpd that i’m close to listening to as much (they’re both on my on repeat playlist) is i can do it with a broken heartwhich is very “*writing with a glitter gel pen* i’m losing my sense of humanity” of me. the duality of being me. etc.

ending midnights with “is that your key in the door? Is it okay? Is it you? Or have them come to take me away?” and then immediately starting ttpd with “I was supposed to be sent away but they forgot to come and get me” we never stood a chance
