Sonic Twitter and TikTok Takeover 2023 Masterpost

Guess what? I saved every response to the takeover like I did last year, and here they all are, with a bonus.

I changed my mind: I do have things to say. spoilers for the latest r&m episode (unmortricken)

ok so firstly I love love love how purposefully anticlimactic and unfulfilling it was. when I, and I think when a lot of other people too, envisioned this episode it was always an episode that looked a lot like rickmurai jack, which had so much build up, both in the overarching and immediate story and so many things were revealed that suddenly made sense of everything and it felt epic and emotional and just so cathartic. that’s what I always imagined this would be like. it wasn’t, and that was the point.

instead, we got this mid-season out of basically nowhere. we know rick’s been hunting prime for a while now, but it’s always been in the background for the most part. this didn’t feel like the culmination of everything, it all just kinda happened. and then at the end of the episode rick kills prime and it’s over. nothing. no explanation or understanding of why prime did what he did — rick just gets his revenge and now prime is dead and it’s done and nothing feels like it’s really changed because it hasn’t. which perfectly mirror’s rick’s own mental state about the whole thing. it wasn’t the satisfying closure he’d always envisioned in his head (even if he’d never admit that’s how he envisioned it lol.) evil morty even points this out: “how’s it feel? better? no? exactly the same? yeah. it always does.”

like in the back of our minds we all knew that killing prime wasn’t actually gonna fix anything for rick, but because of the general understanding of how stories are supposed to work we, or at least I, put that aside an expected to get to indulge in the fantasy that the end of this revenge plot would feel anything but hollow to someone actually experiencing it. and the way this episode was set up completely shattered that.

and the look on down from the bridge rick potion #9 call back really hammered all of that home. the ending to that episode is kind of what everyone thinks of when people think about the “nothing matters, we don’t matter and we’re all gonna die” mentality of the early seasons and making a call back to it… I don’t think it’s a return to that mentality but rather showing having that mentality didn’t save rick. he always looked down on caring about “the little things” because he knew none of it really mattered. but a cosmic multi-dimensional cat and mouse game ending in a revenge killing in the name of his dead wife? now that’s something to care about. and now it’s done and it didn’t really feel all that different to all those little things he insisted were unimportant. how does he find meaning now?

more than that, it’s also a good callback because of the revelation that the scenario is basically the same. in rick potion #9, the scene is a demonstration of morty’s shell shock of taking the place of a dead version of himself like it’s nothing and then having to live on in the monotony of said dead morty’s life as if it’s also nothing. and as prime aptly points out, rick is basically doing the same thing with prime’s life. rick slotted into the life prime left behind and is now living the life prime would be living if he hadn’t gone rouge: “hang out with my grandson. raise echoes of my daughter… I just walked into your garage before you walked into mine. but eventually you did. you lived in my house.” and now, prime is dead. queue look on down from the bridge.

Hina - Decorte Kimono Yui, Jo Malone Mimosa & Cardamom

I'm giving her two scents because I really pin her as the type of girl who has a signature scent plus a rotation of perfumes for different outfits. For her usual everyday fragrance in school, I believe that Hina would love Kimono Yui by Decorte. It's floral and citrus-y in scent, and I like how none of which overpower the other which makes it more appealing. It's flirty and fun, not an over bearing fragrance... This scent feels like having lemon pastries at a rose garden. This scent is perfect as it is, and is good for layering with richer floral-based scents too! She loves how cute the bottle looks too and I can see her owning the other scents from the line.

Jo Malone is actually a favorite in Japan as well. I like to hc that Takemichi lined up with crowds of people at the store opening to get her a bottle. He thought they all smelled the same and ended up just taking which one sounded cuter and Hina ended up loving it anyways. She wears this scents on their dates. It's such a good warm, soft, spicy floral, and a little powdery scent. this scent feels like collecting laundry from the yard on a summer.

Yuzuha - L'interdit Rouge Givenchy

this is the scent of a boss babe. she is canonically an it girl with fan girls and I thought this scent is her signature. you get something spicy, fresh, and the stronger notes like ginger on first spray, and then it becomes really creamy and sweet because of the jasmine notes over time. this feels like dressing up for the night at a five star restaurant or hotel. I own the l'interdit Intense which is the goth sister of the l'interdit scents and it's safe to say that this is the sexiest scent in the line.

miss shiba became Hakkai's manager in the future which means she knows her fashion and her scents, and I think she would also really love the Good Girl perfume line, anything from Xerjoff and Jean Paul Gaultier— perfume of sophisticated and powerful boss babes like her 💋

Akane - Replica "By the fireplace" by Maison Margiela

look, the burning house incident didn't even occur to me when I came up with this, I swear on my life. burnt jokes aside, this scent smells like going for a walk to a bookstore in autumn, and you're eating s'mores. it settles into a warm, sweet, woody vanilla... it's very cozy and warm, and smoky too. ( alright maybe there was an implication of the roasted joke in that last one ) I have a travel-sized bottle of this which was gifted by a friend from Japan and I wear it on colder days.

Senju - Replica "Springtime in a Park" by Maison Margiela

senju is another maison margiela girlie. I believe this is one of the more underrated scents from the Replica line. It's floral in a way so light, airy, and fresh. It reminds me of walking down a field and picking up the scent of fresh and dewy flowers in the breeze. those kind of random whiffs of scents that suddenly take you back to when you were younger, but never identify where it was coming from. I think she's not really big on fragrances and sticks on a signature scent like this! I am not big on floral scents but this is the few I like. I sprayed it on my wrist at an outlet shop.

So I've been thinking about Forces and Frontiers and their new "General Knuckles" characterization. Under the cut cause it got longer than I thought it would lol.

First off I'm not a fan of it and it really doesn't make sense for his character to me. He's someone who grew up in isolation, is easily trusting while also being a hot head that hits first asks questions later, none of that screams General of a resistance.

My working theory as to why they did this was they wanted a quick way to get away from himbo Knuckles that Boom had introduced. Cause his character was always presented as smart before with his knowledge of history and archeology just that he lacks the common sense that comes with being around other people and he was ignorant in that way.

In my opinion he should have been presented as the front lines man who's the first and last on the battle field. That way he was still very much in the inner circle of the resistance in Forces but his character isn't just sitting back in war meetings planning but in the middle of every fight. Since previous characterizations of him have never been a "think things through first" kinda guy it just doesn't make sense to me to suddenly make him the "plans guy".

My next thought was to give the General title to Amy. Cause it does kinda make sense. She's usually the character that hangs back since she's not one of the main 3 with that characterization being a left over from her early days of "damseled girl character." But she's also way more charismatic than Knuckles, has been shown to make plans, be detail oriented, and care deeply about other people.

But at the same time she's also characterized as a bit of a hot head and doesn't like to sit back while her friends are potentially in danger. With more recent versions have her liking to be beside them in a fight and is also shown to be one of the more heavy hitters with her hammer now-a-days. Plus her having to send people into a fight and them potentially being hurt (or killed) on her orders, while a good set up for angst and some character development, just didn't sit right with me.

Then it hit me.

There is a character that walks into a room and with few to no words commands respect and other's, even villains, to listen to them at the drop of a hat....it's Vanilla. Sega missed out on bringing her in from the sidelines and doing interesting things with her character in Forces in my opinion. She's been shown multiple times to be able to waltz into a room and immediately take complete control. She's is quickly able to command people and direct them to the best and most efficient course of action in a few of her scenes in the IDW comics.

Heck a lot of main characters have been shown to be a scared of her being angry, one of them being Rouge who's a spy and has literally been a double agent.

Imagine it though in Forces maybe we don't know she's in charge to begin with and it's kept a mystery for most of the game of who's the one leading the charge against Eggman. The main cast just keeps referring to the General in their conversations about their plans but not saying their name. Then after they do the big Sonic rescue and it's time for a big war meeting, boom ! in comes Vanilla who ain't messing around. I can imagine a line from Sonic of "Vanilla!!!?? You're the general!!!" in the scene where she's walks in.

This also leaves room for a few jokes of her flipping from serious leader to "mom of a 6 year old" attitude. Like big serious meeting and she's talking and directing what people will do in a big assault on an Eggman base and then suddenly she just like "oh! and I also brought cookies and juice boxes for all of you while we talk" and then immediately switching back to talking about planting a bomb or something.

And like even with Tails going off on his own and disappearing from them could have been an interesting topic of conflict with all of them. Like Vanilla having to give the order to Amy and Knuckles to not go looking for him cause they don't have the man power all the while Cream could be upset with her for not letting them look for her friend. Or something along these lines.

Idk I just really feel like Sega is sleeping on Vanilla and could do so much more with her. Just with her being a mom and the only consistent cannon friendly adult in the sea of over powered kids with her own kid jumping into the fray cause she's also an overpowered child just has a lot of potential there to me.

I know I might get bashed like hell for this but I don't care: Chat Noir and Ladybug are realistically the weakest Cat and Ladybug miraculous holders of their respective legacies.

And it's not just them. Every single Parisian hero of the current generation, from Rena Rouge to Viperion, are significantly weaker in terms of skill and power than their predecessors.

This isn't their fault entirely, as Ladybug and co have more disadvantages than the heroes that have come before them and there are those who don't take the job seriously [Chat Noir and Queen Bee].

They're Very Young

The first most glaring issue is the fact that they are still minors. The most consistent rule of the show is that a miraculous being used by a child is like the free trial version of a streaming service. Five minutes after using their special power, they will de-transform and will need to feed their kwami to resume their transformation. Unlike Hawkmoth and Mayura who can keep up their transformation even after using an akuma/amok, Ladybug and Chat Noir have to proceed with caution because they aren't grownups which limits their ability to fight all out. This is especially the case with Chat Noir and Ladybug as they are the main superheroes and characters used to emphasize this rule.

If the wiki is to be believed, then previous Ladybugs like La Déesse Coccinelle, Piao Chong, Tentomushi, Jeanne d'Arc (in the mlb universe), and Mudangbeolle were all adults according to their respective time periods and didn't have the same restrictions that the current Ladybug has. The same could be said about previous foxes, bees, turtles, snakes etc.

They Lack the Necessary Training

The second drawback that Marinette and Adrien have are their backgrounds. More specifically, their comfortable lifestyles. Marinette in particular, went from a clumsy girl who lived a normal life to a beloved superheroine in just one day. Not that there's anything wrong with that on a character level, but on a logical level it makes sense for her to be ill prepared for the duties of a hero at first. She was thrusted into it suddenly with no training [something I see is regularly addressed in crossover fanfictions with Batman and the DCU] or any background in combat, the latter she had to learn on her own. Though it's hinted at that Sabine is an exceptional fighter, it's pretty clear that she taught none of it to Marinette.

Adrien at least has some combat training in the form of fencing which is evident in the way he uses his staff like a fencing saber. But as someone who has been fencing since I was seven and been up against many talented opponents, Adrien strikes me as mediocre at best. He beats Kagami in Riposte sure, but by real fencing standards Adrien would be slaughtered by someone who had been trained their entire life to be an Olympic worthy fencer [Kagami].

I'm bringing this up because literally every past Ladybug, Black, and others have experience in combat, were vigilantes in armies, were warriors before using their miraculous, or fought in actual wars therefore becoming hardened veterans. In this category Adrien [again, even though he's mediocre] and Kagami are the only heroes of the current generation who have previous training in the form of a combat-oriented sport. Though, in my opinion, Kagami as Ryuko is the only hero that can hold a candle to her predecessors.

Alya, Nino, and Chloe are also very weak in this regard due to the aforementioned reasons above. They all have comfortable lifestyles and were thrusted into the world of heroes without any training or focus. Chloe nearly ran into a wall because she wasn't paying attention and Alya needed to be guilt tripped into giving the miraculous to Ladybug by Trixx. You can make the argument that the miraculous costumes make up for their lack of actual experience, which is 100% valid, but I can also argue that having battle training or any sort of athleticism can make a hero even more effective. I don't know if this is an unpopular opinion, but Kagami will always be the most effective and skilled temporary hero as evidenced by her being able to piece together her transformation phase, her attention to detail, her impressive battle awareness and her ability to right her mistakes [jumping into the fight without listening to Ladybug's plan in Ikari Gozen] with her quick thinking. Say what you will about her, but Kagami is objectively the best candidate to be a permanent hero, especially since Chat Noir has been demoted to sidekick/temporary hero status.

[Kim is also an athletic person, but his skill is in swimming, which isn't helpful unless he has an aqua form, which he doesn't so ehh]

They Have Little to No Knowledge of Their Own Powers

The third thing that the heroes have going against them is their lack of knowledge about their powers. By this point in the series, the heroes are just going with the flow and figuring things out for themselves as they go along.

As we know, these are the first heroes since the Order of the Guardians was destroyed. This context is important because in Feast, we learn that countless grimoires and Miracle Boxes burned away or eaten.

The miraculous date back to Ancient Times so there had to have been thousands of years of documented information about the miraculous of the Chinese Miracle Box. I'm not even going to say it's an assumption. It has to be a fact that there were secrets about each miraculous including how to train each Guardian that would have been extremely helpful to Ladybug and the others if they had access to it. Master Fu is responsible for tens of thousands of years' worth of knowledge being snuffed out in just one night.

This puts the heroes who wielded a miraculous after the Order was destroyed at a significant, almost sad disadvantage to those who were heroes before the Order fell. It's highly likely that after gaining their miraculous, previous heroes had access to the archive in which they could learn to utilize their powers to their absolute fullest potential. Whereas with the current heroes, it feels like they can only use a fraction of their miraculous's abilities.

Another problem with their lack of knowledge is the time separating Ladybug and Chat Noir from their predecessors. Bo Rua and an unnamed Vietnamese Black Cat were the last LadyCat duo before Feast swallowed the Order, with Adrien and Marinette being their immediate successors. However, Master Fu was confirmed to be in his 180s when he relinquished the Miracle Box to Marinette and Austruc confirmed Bo Rua and her partner to be in their early twenties, meaning that Bo Rua and LadyNoir have over 200 years separating them, confirming that their knowledge was lost over time after they died and can only be recovered by speaking to their spirits like in Reunion [which I have several complaints about]. Master Fu is obviously lacking knowledge about the miraculous to a severe degree, so it makes sense for Chat Noir and Ladybug to as well.

I'm not bashing Adrien and Marinette and co for being objectively weak because it makes so much sense. They lack proper training, they're kids with set limits on their powers, and they don't have access to crucial information that would've probably led them to defeat Hawkmoth by now. Sure, the two of them [more so Marinette] are the strongest heroes of their generation but if you put them up against their forebearers, they would be massacred with no difficulty whatsoever.

The show would be 100 times more interesting if this was acknowledged, which would lead to the introduction of the previous holders in a more natural and useful way.

yoo this is entirely depending on whether or not Shadow is friends with Rouge, but Shadow meeting the different versions of Rouge and possibly getting more pissed because they're not HER

Shadow meeting the alternate Rouges does have a lot of potential! I don't know if he'd specifically react by getting angry, though it's a little hard to tell since we don't know this version of Shadow very well yet.

Though if you're curious about my personal vision for how this would play out:

I see Shadow being very quiet, but generally polite towards the alternate Rouges, and the alternate characters in general. But every so often, usually when they're not looking, you can see him clench his fist or squeeze his crossed arms a little tighter than he should and it's clear he is Bothered.

At some point, when none of the counterparts are nearby, he punches a wall to let out his frustration - startling Sonic, who hadn't been picking up on his emotional state very well. He's basically like "hey you good??" and Shadow responds that he is just fine, now let's keep going.

Sonic does eventually piece it together and it helps them come to more of an understanding, because now they're both dealing with other versions of the most important people in their lives without knowing for certain if they can ever get the originals back.

Of course, Shadow isn't very receptive to Sonic trying to talk about his feelings, but thankfully he can make any conversation work by letting Sonic do most of the talking and only correcting him about things he actually gets wrong.

However! Despite how much it hurts to see all these Rouges that aren't his friend, Shadow is proud of how frequently she seems to take a leadership position, especially with what Rebel's doing for the city. He always knew she had it in her, and probably makes a light jab at Sonic for how his own attempts at leadership pale in comparison.

This ended up longer than I intended but case in point, I wanna see Shadow missing Rouge in a much quieter, simmering way than Sonic misses his friends, just because it'd make a good contrast and I don't want Shadow to be too characterized by anger in this series

I also just want Shadow and Rouge to be friends in general because I can't go another installment in this franchise without them having any meaningful interactions

Out of all the characters presentes so far, Rusty Rose (the Amy version of New Yolk that is ruled by the Eggmen) is one that intrigues me for how her story will be resolved, as none of the other characters - not even Tails - were left in that kind of messed up situation: she's a cyborg, still has organic parts, but her body is mostly made of prosthetic parts, she has no will of her own (yet)... and to top it all, to keep her alive, a flicky is inside her, serving as an organic battery.

In short, she was turned into something not so different from E-102 Gamma, which might be an interesting twist.

One aspect I do like, in terms ov the action, is that she has proven to be a formidable adversary to not just Sonic, but also powerhouses like Knuckles and Rouge, having fought them simultaneously whichbsays just how strong she is... in fact, minus Black Rose, Rust Rose and Thorn Rose have been pretty OP. On that I'm satisfied.

However, one part I'm not is Sonic not showing any guilt for Rusty's situation, because being fair, she IS his fault. I like that Sonic on the 8th episode was willing to fight her without considerations because he knows she is tremendously strong, but at the same time, I feel that had Tails been in Rusty's place, he would express the kind of sentiments he so far hasn't for this version of Amy... almost as if he was caught in the idea of defeating someone he forgets is one of his friend... the one who took the worst part when the universe shattered.

Somehow, I get the feeling that Sonic will not be the one to save Rusty, but rather, it will be the other versions of Amy. She already started to have a reaction upon seeing one of her alternate selfs, something not done for any of the other characters.

Then again, they did mention Amy would be an important character in the show, and since she is my favorite character since forever, I expect a good resolution for her.

Thinkin about shit so I'm throwing out my headcanons on the Tracy brothers and general thoughts on em idk why.

Scott

Man's like 6'1 and v athletic, he's a slim fella with light muscle (none of these fuckers r having like mad defined muscle cause I simply do not like it lol).

The prettiest guy, like he's managed to go through puberty without getting bad spots or anything, he has like long eyelashes and is just one of those really pretty guys.

This guy is a calisthenics kinda guy, he's just out here just doing that anywhere he can.

He hates veg, he is a fruit kinda guy, apples and grapes are his favourite.

(According to that recent post) Scott has a limp, he's not got the best knees and obviously he's running around a lot and getting all sorts of bumps and bruises. He doesn't hide it because his brothers know about it and he can't help it.

He gets a lot of negative thoughts despite him being quite a positive guy on the outside, all of his brothers know about this*

If I were to assign him his favourite musical it would be a high energy one like hairspray or Moulin rouge (but the newer Broadway one, with the modern songs mixed in). Also come from away, not sure why.

He doesn't baby his brothers, never has, even when they were babies, he was always just a big brother with em, he would fully talk to baby Alan like the kid could respond to him, but alas he was a baby and he could not.

Virgil

I feel a lot of people see him as a tall guy but nah this man's got width instead, he's like 5 foot 8- 5 foot 10.

He is a weight guy, he does all his running and stuff on missions so most of his home workouts are weights, he doesn't even do it as an exercise chore, he just finds it fun weightlifting, and being able to just lift any of his brothers and dad at any point is his favourite thing.

Opposite of Scott, he's a Veggie guy.

He has alot of bulk to his body, his muscles aren't defined, he has fat that bulks it up and has a v soft tummy which keeps him safe and he's very huggable.

His legs are mad strong, like when hes lifting obviously he's lifting with his legs (cause he's smart) so if u wanna go against him in kickboxing or sommat I'll start digging Ur grave now xoxo.

So as u can see I'm assigning them all musicals and Virgil is the easiest, there are so many that could work for him, I'll narrow it down but I know for SURE that he loves Evita (no this isn't projection), Virgil doesn't have like a set genre like this brothers, since he's like here for musicals, so he likes classics he likes contemporary, he likes watching musicals not just for the music, but for seeing the set, costumes and the tech, Evita has some very nice staging, he also likes Falsettos both US and UK versions, the stagings are very different for both and he LOVES it. Finally he also likes little shop.

Going on from the above, in school he was involved in his schools production of little shop, he was a background character but he also made all the puppets for Audrey II.

Yes he is the medic of the group and I like to believe he has done a course/degree or sommat to be a proper medical person (idk the levels of medical but he's higher than just doing first aid but not too high)

He's a slim guy, similar to Scott, I see a lot people seeing him like veerrryy thin like he's been stretched cause he's a tall guy, I feel like he has a bit of fat on him, he has a soft stomach (not has beefy as Virgil's) and is still a little slim but he has very soft muscle.

He's not a musical guy but he did very much enjoy Cats.

6 foot 1 or 2. Him and Scott just tower over the rest like idk, towers?

Gordon

He is a classic guy by liking Mamma Mia and Grease but also loves Something rotten.

5 foot 8 or less, he's shorter than Virgil either way.

He has that Dorito body time since he swims butterfly.

Mullet, obvi. I genuinely cannot think of him without a mullet, I wish I could for everyone's sake but it's stuck in my brain.

I feel I spoke about this last time I did one of these but he suffers from depression and a little bit of PTSD, tho I don't know much about PTSD so I can't go in to too much detail on how he's like, he got it from the hydrofoil accident and (in TAG only) the SOS (I think) dealio.

And I'm mentioning this again from the last one, as much as all the brothers know all the issues of the family (as mentioned at the end) it's Virgil that knows the full deep depths of it, those 2 work together the most and are often left alone with each other so after a long mission or a quiet ride out they get talking and as conversations do they get deeper and deeper.

The bi-con

He has back pain a lot (question why do a lot of Anderson characters have back problems??? Like guys maybe don't break Ur backs, first Gordon, then Grey and then Shane Weston???)

Alan

5 foot 5, in any version, he is shorttt.

Not the best socially.

Is attached to Gordon, had a period in his life where he had to sleep in the same room as Gordon cause he genuinely couldn't sleep anywhere else (no I'm not projecting, maybe I am, fuck it, Alan slept in a dinghy for a year)

Favourite musical gotta be Emojiland, he likes the twists and turns and the costumes in this (again not me projecting). But he also loves Something rotten (along with Gordon)

*None of his mental health issues and such are hidden from anyone in the family, everyone is on the lookout for everyone, and also kinda takes any stigma (if there is any) away from talking about mental health issues, all the brothers have their moments and struggle at times and with this system they can get help with it.

First eight episodes of Sonic Prime dropped. Spoilers to follow.

Of all the variants introduced in this show, Rusty Rose is my favorite. Flipping typically heroic or villainous characters to the other side of the spectrum is one of the most fun things you can do with parallel realities. Also I'm like 90% sure she's supposed to be a shout-out to Archie Sonic continuity and their "roboticization"?

I don't know. Robot Amy is scary and cool, and I really like her as a nemesis. The Chaos Council kinda needs the help, as they're conceptually interesting but altogether don't make for nearly as threatening or dangerous villains as the show clearly wants them to be. They're kinda bland, but as the show's Darth Vader archetype, Rusty more than makes up for it.

She's just so cool and steals every scene she's in. Which is an impressive feat when she's playing against Sonic the Hedgehog.

Nine is a close second for similar reasons. Tails is morally ambiguous in this reality, and in a way that you could reasonably believe based on his character and backstory.

Obviously, Nine is undergoing a character arc and he'll surely land on the side of angels by the end. Honestly, I'm sure Rusty will find her inner Amy-ness too by the final credits. But it's a fun ride getting there.

Rebel Rouge and Knux also exist but they aren't quite as interesting, because they're more or less just Rouge and Knuckles being Rouge and Knuckles.

No, I'd say the best version of Knuckles are their Pirate variants. The whole Pirate reality was just a fun ride from start to finish. Knux being a self-serving scoundrel looking for a jewel to steal is quite a departure from his role as Guardian of the Master Emerald. I don't think he'd get along with himself very well.

As for Rouge, she's kind of hard to pin down. I'd say she has in a pretty well-balanced depiction in all three 'verses that we're shown, but none of them really stand out or shine compared to the others. She's the most consistent between 'verses. A solid B across the board.

What strikes me as particularly interesting is the Shattering's effects on Sonic, Shadow, and Eggman.

Sonic does not exist in any reality because him punching the Prism is what made the Shatterverse in the first place.

Shadow does not exist in any reality because him activating Chaos Control at the moment the Prism shattered caused him to become dislodged from reality entirely, preventing him from even entering them the way Sonic can.

But what strikes me as fascinating is Eggman. Eggman was split into the Chaos Council, who are clearly just Eggman at five different stages of his life cycle. But that's it. This is the one and only variant (set) of Eggman. The Jungle and Pirate realities have no Eggman to speak of. He exists only in New Yolk City, where he's been divided into multiple people.

Sonic, Shadow, and Eggman all have unique interactions with the Shattering, as opposed to Tails, Amy, Knuckles, and Rouge (and others like Big the Cat) who were just printed into every reality. We know the reasons for Sonic and Shadow. But what could have caused this unique interaction for Eggman?

Very curious.

Bellatrix Lestrange has a daughter who befriends Harry AU

So...conception.

Well, Rodolphus and Bellatrix conceive a child on the order of Voldemort. Since Voldemort wants to live forever, he keeps in mind that his army would need an eventual replacement. And if Bellatrix is willing to spend so much time in Azkaban for Voldemort, than surely motherhood is less extreme than 14 years of torture. Plus, if they are unable to perform, well, Voldemort can always cast Impero.

I think the couple would still end up in Azkaban, Voldemort would still diseappear and the Longbottoms are here also. Also, I headcanon that they were fed some pain-relief cancelling potions by Rabastan who spiked their tea. A potion that blocks the body’s natural soothing reflexes, thus making the brain overflow with cortisol to the point of nerve damage. And it makes more sense then just the Crucio thing, because I try to be more scientific than J.K Rowling.

Now, in terms of name, the Lestrange family seems to be, for the British branch, have latinized Germanic names inspired by scavenging animals, and the French branche has Latin names based of creepy animals and concepts (although the girls seem to have perfectly normal names, if a bit rare). The Black family seemed to all have constellation names, mostly Greek and Latin. However, we all know J.K Rowling loves name symbolisme. Peonies, in French flower language are associated with bashful love (especially pink ones), apology (especially white peonies), shame (french expression: rouge comme une pivoine), compassion, wealth, passion (especially red ones) and remorse. In british flower language, it can symbolize unluck and luck, while for Americans it can represent wealth and marital bliss. In China, it can mean honor, beauty, luck and wealth, and in Japan, it can symbolize honor and bravery. The peony plant is mildly toxic, but have been used historically as a pain killer in small doses.

So for a character who tries to do good, and wash herself of the family shame to do what is right, the Peony seems right. So Peony Lestrange she is.

Now, by who she will be raised. There are multiple possibilities, including: grandparents and aunt, Andromeda and Ted Tonks, the Malfoys, and Walden Macnair and his wife (who’s probably a psycho, because if he’s a walking stereotype and a more competant version of Jack Ketch, than he can be also married to a stereotypical Bourrelle, because why not pile up stereotypes at this point) or the Muggle foster system. I think the Muggle foster system would make her a bit to angsty for something like Harry Potter, but she can live with her grandparents and aunt, with maybe some cousins (I already made two OCs for this). Now, Andromeda and Ted Tonks would probably find it very strange having to raise the daughter from the family that disowned her, so that may not happen. Narcissa would probably welcome her niece with open arms, but Lucius, I don’t think he would want the attention of raising the daughter of the two most infamous Death Eaters when he tries to distance himself, although he could just as well craft a story of socializing her into becoming a “respectable young lady”, and Macnair might become responsable for the children of Azkaban thanks to some obscure law. I think getting her raised by the Malfoys, and have regular contact with her grandparents and cousins, plus Macnair, would give her a nice “framework”.

In terms of looks, none of the HP main characters are describes as particularly “hot”, mostly normal teenagers. However, many purebloods, at least from the “evil” families, are shown as good looking, but sickly. We can have a slight mixt of the two by having her get a pale, ashy complexion and reddish dark, intense circles (if snakes can blink, Harry have magical hair and Snape have pitch-black eyes, she can have a slightly unrealistic complexion, plus it’s not that flattering to current beauty standards) giving her a shadowy stare.

And why would she rebel against her family. I think she would be someone who grows up feeling incredibly lonely, plus let’s not forget the casual relationships many pureblood wizards have with violence, and that’s already a very bad mixt. Plus, I think she would be genetically pre-disposed to enjoy the thrill of the chase, both as predator and as prey. So, Peony would grow up a very depressed child, subconsciously desiring real relationship. Also, might have reoccurring nightmares from living under the same roof as a sadist, even if they don’t harm her directly. Now, she would still be a proud pureblood used to grow up in an odd mixture of wealth and outcast hood, and be quite proud, and be hugely impulsive. Now, Lucius Malfoy is a sadist, it’s basically canon. Macnair is also a sadist (who tries to contend himself with animals, but is more than happy to move onto human victims), and Snape has some sadistic tendencies, but mostly show as verbal bullying and is not a serious threat. But I think her rebellion would be slow, and she would probably want, in the beginning at least, to still have warm relationships. Also, since the only reason she was born in the first place is to be groomed into becoming a death eater, so yeah, that’s also something to consider. Also, living in such a social environment, would require if she lacks cunning, a great deal of bravery. So, for her to be into Gryffindor were she would have more opportunities to befriend Harry, she will have to be a little dumb dumb, and frankly quite clueless, especially with social life.

Top 3 Tomorrow Episodes

3) A Soul Becomes A Star (1x06)

There was so much to love about this episode. I loved seeing the RM taking on this special mission, where they spent the day helping and connecting with Mr Lee, allowing him to reminisce while they helped and took care of him, ensuring that his final day on Earth was a good one, filled with companionship and love. I also really liked how they managed to involve both Park Joong Gil and the Jade Emperor in this mission as it helped to show the best sides and characteristics of all 5 five our main characters.

I also really liked how they showed that all sacrifices, no matter how big or small actually make a difference and that many of these sacrifices will have ripple effects and positive impacts that no one will ever truly know. That when you make a sacrifice for a place or a people this will have untold positive impacts and influences.

It was also really nice to see Choi Junwoong’s strengths and skills. He doesn’t have any Reaper powers but he was able to do something that none of the other Reaper’s was able to do. He managed to find Mr Lee’s old friend and give him the closure that he needed and helped to show him just how many people he has helped.

I also really loved the JoongRyeon scenes in this episode. From Joong Gil bring petty and refusing to let Ryeon know that he had the same idea as her to their conversation in Mr Lee’s home, these were really great scenes that helped to deepen their connection and further hint at their past together. I also really loved that the Jade Emperor immediately outed Joong Gil to Ryeon and her comment about them having the same belief.

Finally I really loved the ending of this episode. It was incredibly satisfying and heart warming to see the entire Escort Team and the Jade Emperor turn up to honour Mr Lee in his final moments. And to see Mr Lee reunite with his mother and finally get to have the dinner that she promised to make him when he left for war was the perfect way to end his story.

2) Wind Flower (1x14)

What an episode, a highly anticipated episode that really delivered on so many levels.

I loved that they took the time to show the beginning of their love story, from their first meeting to the first feeling of love to their iconic rouge moment, it was great to see just how and why they fell in love with one another. It was also great to see that Ryeon has and always will be able to get into Joong Gil’s head and stay there. It was also great to see Ryeon’s determination to defy her father in order to be with Joong Gill as she’d fallen for him after she’d seen how kind and chivalrous he could be. The two actors who played the teenage versions of these characters were great and really helped to sell this love story as well as convincingly embody these two characters that we had come to know and love over the past 13 episodes.

I also loved just how much of these flashbacks were focused on their happier moments together and that there was not an immediate or overwhelming focus on their tragic end, which it could of easily done. It helped to remind and show us that there was more to their lives and their story than just tragedy and heartbreak.

I also really loved the focus on Ryeon and Gop Dan’s friendship and how important it was to them. They were their for one another and protected one another when no one else could or would and showed just how important these female friendships are during these difficult and traumatic times. It was only after Gop Dan’s death that Ryeon became suicidal and unable to handle the weight and pain of the insults, slander and hatred that she faced on a daily basis. Gop Dan’s death really was the beginning of the end.

I also really loved seeing Joong Gil’s perspective and beliefs during this episode, from his defence of all the Returning Ladies to his regret and grief after seeing Ryeon’s body, it was important to see just how much pain he was also in during his last year with Ryeon. He wanted to solve this problem, wanted to help her feel better, happy and safe but he couldn’t do that in a society who saw Ryeon and women like her as the enemy. It must have exhausting and suffocating to have to see that pain and hatred every day and not be able to change it, no matter how hard you tried.

1) Spring (1x13)

This was hands down the best episode of the series, which is surprising considering how the entire main cast plays supporting roles and have very little focus on them and their stories.

I have little knowledge about Comfort Women, with the movie Paradise Road, a movie about women and children in a Japanese POW camp during WWII. During the movie the prettiest women in the camp were given the opportunity to leave the camp but weren’t told the exact nature of their new job and when the remaining prisoners moved camp a few years later they drove past the brothel (a stately home or mansion) that the women had moved to. They were dressed in beautiful dresses and were drinking tea on the veranda but they were dead behind the eyes. That moment from the film has stayed with me for the last 15 years and I know that this episode will too.

I loved that the episode focused so heavily on the friendships and bonds that these young girls formed during this traumatic and harrowing period in their lives and how this was vital for their survival. Yun-i’s friendship and courage gave the other’s girls the strength that they needed to carry on, to survive and have hope that they would return home one day. It was also important to see her lean on Jeong - Mun and gain her friendship, care and compassion when she was breaking down. That she was not the only source of hope and comfort in the camp and that she had someone to turn to when she was at her limit.

And Yun-i’s friendship and Bok-Hui would have also given her hope and strength and she had a kind and caring friend who was waiting for her to return home, someone who she had to see again so that they could colour their nails and return her scarf to her.

Their reunions were also incredibly emotional and satisfying and I would even go as far as to say that they were perfect as everything that needed or had to be said between these characters was addressed and handled beautifully, giving all these women the closure and healing that they so desperately wanted and needed. That final moment with the girl’s reuniting, painting their nails and getting to be innocent, happy young girls’ again was the perfect ending to the episode.

The writers really did a good job at handling such a sensitive topic.

The actors, both young and old really did give it their all and helped to make this episode as incredible and moving as it was.

I also really loved Choi Junwoong and Park Joong Gil’s involvement in this story. They both managed to protect these girls and other vulnerable people during a very dark period in Korean history. Junwoong’s empathy and sympathy and Joong Gil’s fiercely protective nature were on full display and helped to demonstrate and show that there are always people out there who are willing to take up the fight and defend those who cannot defend or protect themselves. Their involvement in the story also did not overshadow these women’s stories, only supported them and at at the most helped to foreshadow and hint at Joong Gil’s dream to protect the common people.

⚠️HUGE BIG SONIC PRIME SPOILERS I AND OPINIONS I GUESS UNDER CUT IDK I JUST WANT TO TALK A LITTLE BIT ABOUT IT BECAUSE I JUST FINISHED WATCHING IT⚠️ ok ... yeah

Ok finished watching s3 and imo it's the worst season of the show, well too bad because it was the last one I guess.

Uhhh I feel mean complaning because like, idk, I feel being a sonic fan makes me such a hater omg, but also even though I complain about stuff it doesnt mean that I hate it.. just I have thoughts on it....

Well I feel this last season was the worst one because it felt like it really didn't do anything? No development or much interaction between the characters, blackrose becoming a captain felt out of nowhere to me? so much of the season was spent on the "final battle" and that also took me out of it a lot.

This is a general complain of the whole series but I dont like at all how they handled rouge, I was also expecting at least a bit of something to happen when a version of her and shadow got to meet again but there was nothing??? reallly???????????????????

This is a general complain but for a while I've felt like omg... at rouge slowly being integrated into sonic's group of friends because they need more girls in there, because I feel like they are doing so by taking things out of rouge's personality? I havent played the sonic dream game so I don't know how she's handled there but at least in prime the fact that none of her counterparts had anything to do with her feels so off (Though I guess the, new yok one I GUESS you could say that she has elements of her being the team dark leader?) how do you have a pirate rouge that is like... so unfazed about treasure come on.

Ok uhhh what else.... I'm sooo sorry but I couldn't care much about the counterparts, I guess they have interesting parts of them and could like, be interesting in an analysis way of which aspects of their original counterparts they take but I also feel that wasn't developed enough... I think the one that got the best of it was amy, then knuckles.

I'm not counting nine because he's basically a new character (in exchange the other 2 tailses are barely anything), and tbh one of my fav aspects of the whole show? I love him? I think he should be able to do whatever he wants ever imo, he can do anything.

What else... well I love Shadow but at points I was also like :0 at how he was in this, he was so nice at points! made me go like... omg... he's so sweet compared to whatever sega has been doing with him these past years so at certain points that took me out but still I like him...

When he didn't show up at the final battle I was like, omg are they going to reveal that due to him being in the other world due to chaos emerald energy he actually couldn't make it back/is dead? but he wasn't, he should get to die again at some point again imo.

W-well thats it I think... as a last note (maybe) I have to clarify I didnt hate the show! I just have alot of opinions about it, also I just remembered I forgot to talk about the egg guys, I liked them.

Also I just finished watching it so I'm at my screaming and yelling point of the show and maybe my thoughts on it will mellow out later or I will think better of stuff ok, I just have to get this out rn

kind of inspired by Sonic Prime, but it's more thought up just because of a set of songs that I listen to

takes place at the end of time itself, but not by natural causes. the plot direction is a tiny little smidgeon-bit like that of it's faux inspiration, but i will note down the tiniest little hint as to it here

the viewer is only to see through the eyes of Gadget the Wolf and Barry the Quokka, you'll understand why in a bit, and their task here is to search for what remains of their friends

this cataclysmic event was partly caused by you, and partly caused by Robotnik messing around with stuff he shouldn't have been. specifically, he's built some stupid power harnessing thing around some weird crystalline growth emerging from the core of the planet, and you destroy it, which seems to completely erase your world from history, and splits what's left of your friends into different versions of the original

now you don't really know whether or not the world will ever be fixed again, but you do know a few things;

first off, Gadget and Barry have been merged into one body by the collision, i'll just call them Badger for simplicity, and second off, just as Prime Sonic can, Badger can hop through different "Fatalities" (what they call the worlds)

these worlds are as follows:

The Nuclear Option - a post-fallout version of the world run by Tails and Knuckles, they seem to have had a dispute in the past, though. also this world was once ridden with a plague, which is precisely why it is solely inhabited by echidnas and foxes (science stuff, they just used their silly little DNA strands to recreate themselves in different generations but none of them act the exact same or even similarly to the originals)

Greatest Britannica - somewhat based off of Sonic and The Black Knight, though, if I had to choose any one inspiration, it would have to be simple medieval England, the hierarchy system, the disrespect for the poor, the enslavement of all employees, etc. also Amy is the queen of this one, and her character is extremely slightly (i mean barely) based off of one from ⭐man slaughter

Cyber-Digital Revolution - it's a bit cyberpunk-esque, but i would say it's more inspired by concepts of what the internet could really have been and just large scale pixel art in general, but the main characters are Sonic and Shadow, they're essentially cyber-criminals or thieves. this world has evolved beyond the need for corporeal form anymore

Newer London - like 20th century London mixed with the Smog of the Industrial Revolution, main characters (though an outlandish combination) are Big and Rouge, there are these storms that wash through, they turn anybody outside during them to ash, but there are some big warnings before they roll in

Mandela Nation - not finished, but it consists of the Chaotix (i mean Mighty, Espio and Vector) in a world where everything they've ever been shown or believed in has been made up and implanted into their minds. it's based off of the Mandela Effect, strictly ONLY the Effect

1995 G.R.E.E.N. - similar to TNO in the sense that it's post-apocalyptic, but in a different sense, this place is overgrown; infested, even. it contains Cream and Vanilla. based off of Solarpunk aesthetics and abandonment of old constructs to be adopted by nature

Desolate Isolate - it's just a checkerboard floor and an endless void. the only inhabitant of which is Robotnik, he's tried to leave, but simply can't. he can't die here, there is just nothing. he is the only figure you'll come across that remembers what you did

I have no clue as to what happens at the ultimate of this story, but I have a very clear idea as to how The Nuclear Option happened, and I'll write that eventually.

Post-Reveal Revelry Day 22: Glass

“So what is this exactly?” Chloé said dubiously, looking around at the collection of booths in the park.

“It’s a craft fair!” Marinette said brightly, seemingly immune to Chloé’s skepticism. “I can’t believe you and Adrien have never been to one before.”

“Just a coincidence, I guess,” Adrien said, exchanging a look with Chloé. He thought that the craft fair sounded like fun, and it was definitely right up Marinette’s alley, but he didn’t think his father would’ve been thrilled to know that Adrien was here. Gabriel tended to look down on homemade crafts unless they were from someone as naturally talented as Marinette.

“Well, you’re both going to love it,” Marinette said determinedly, linking her arms through Adrien’s left arm and Chloé’s right arm. She pulled them along with her before Adrien or Chloé had the chance to say anything, dragging them right up to the first booth.

Adrien looked at the collection that the booth was offering, realizing that it was a selection of scarves and other knitted products – or maybe it was crochet. He couldn’t tell. But what he did know was that none of the available stuff could even hold a candle to what Marinette was capable of. Out of the corner of his eye, he saw Chloé opening her mouth and stepped around Marinette to jab Chloé in the ribs.

“Ow,” Chloé said, pouting at him. Adrien just rolled his eyes back at her and then jerked his chin towards the person manning the booth. They were involved in a conversation with Marinette already, but that didn’t mean they’d be deaf to what Chloé had to say.

“Come on. Marinette is going to be a while,” he said, recognizing the signs of Marinette settling in for a good long chat. The craft terms being tossed around right now were going way over Adrien’s head. He and Chloé could keep walking around while she was talking, and then Marinette could catch up with them when she was done.

“Oh fine,” Chloé said, falling into step beside him. “What do you want to look at then?”

“Umm…” Adrien looked around, searching for a booth to hold their interest, and smiled when he saw just the right one. “Hey, look. They’re selling merchandise of the Miraculous team.”

“What?!” Chloé’s head whipped around. Her eyes lit up with excitement when she saw that there was some Queen Bee merchandise available, and for the second time that day Adrien found himself being dragged around by a girl. But that was okay. He was just as excited to see the Chat Noir merchandise.

“Oh my god, look at this one!” He pointed to a figure of Chat Noir right in the middle of use Cataclysm. The effect of Cataclysm had been recreated using some kind of black glass that glittered in the light. It looked really cool.

“You should buy it,” Chloé said. She was holding a fat pillow shaped like a bee and a small keychain shaped like an exaggerated version of Queen Bee. Adrien was also surprised to see her holding similar keychains of Ladybug, Chat Noir, Carapace, and Rena Rouge. He looked at them questioningly.

“You’re getting all five?”

Chloé’s cheeks turned a bit pink. “Lahiffe and Césaire couldn’t come,” she said stiffly. “And it’s only for one day, so…”

Growth! Adrien wanted to hug her, but he decided that doing so would probably embarrass her. So he just nodded and said, “And who is the Chat Noir one for?” He gave her his best set of cute kitty begging eyes.

“I haven’t decided yet,” Chloé said teasingly, because she was more immune to the kitty eyes than Marinette was. “Maybe Marinette would like it.”

It was Adrien’s turn to blush, but he recovered quickly. “Does that mean I can have the Ladybug one then?”

“Pfft, no way. The Ladybug one is mine,” Chloé said.

Adrien pouted. “Mean! Is there another one?”

“Nope. It’s the last one.” She grinned and stuck out a finger, letting the keychain dangle from her finger tauntingly. Adrien tried to grab it and she laughed and pulled away just in time.

“Chloé!” he whined.

“Sorry, Adrikins. Gotta be faster than that. Maybe if you pay for me, I’ll think about sharing.” She stuck her tongue out from a couple feet away.

Adrien sighed but nodded because the keychain really was cute, and took his wallet out. “Fine. You drive a hard bargain, but you win.”

“Excellent! Then you should totally buy that Chat Noir figure out were looking at and the matching Ladybug one,” Chloé said, appearing back at his side as though by magic.

Matching Ladybug?!

Adrien took it back. Chloé wasn’t mean. She was a genius.

The Cullens are curious, about him, because Edward can't read his mind because of his Spider-Sense, and Alice can't see his future. Also because his blood, and scent acts as an anchor to The Cullens to control their bloodlust which makes them appreciate him more, and're always near him in school so Jasper doesn't go outta control.

your senses were in overdrive as you entered the small cafeteria. not just because you were now surrounded by hundreds of chatty teenagers, but because they were there.

the cullens has been on your radar for quite a long time. having fought vampires before, it was your nature to inspect them before they became a threat.

you had known that the cullen’s were a ‘special’ breed of vampires, choosing to only feed on animals than humans.

it was nobel act but still, you had to be cautious.

you took a seat at an empty table and gently set your lunch down. after months of attending forks high school, you still hadn’t made very many friends. instead, you preferred the silence of being alone.

you took a bite out of your sandwich and just as you did, you smelled them.

looking up, you saw the five unnatural creatures walking into the cafeteria like they owned the place. the blonde, rosalie, was scowling at all the people that gawked at her. the burly brunette, emmett, had an arm around her protectivly. jasper, the one you knew had the most trouble controlling himself, was being reassured by his mate alice. and edward...well...he looked the most normal as he wore an expression that was downright miserable.

you noticed them the second they entered the cafeteria. your senses tingled, warning you of danger. but they didn’t seem to notice you though, at least not yet. it would be a couple seconds before edward realized that he couldn’t read your mind, and that your blood was calling out to them in a way different than everybody else’s.

you slumped back into your seat as the curious vampires turned to you. with your hearing, you knew that they were talking about you.

“do you guys smell that?” emmett asked his siblings, nodding his head in your general direction so fast you almost missed it.

“it’s coming him,” edward hissed, motioning towards you. “i can’t read his mind.”

“and i can’t see his future, either,” alice said worriedly.

“do you suppose he’s something supernatural, too?” jasper asked.

“not likely. just a really rare human,” rosalie said.

you almost smirked. oh, if only they knew.

shaking your head, you leaned back into your seat. you had biology with edward and jasper next. you’d learn more about them there, but for now, you enjoyed your lunch and let them speculate over who exactly you were.

the classroom filled up quickly.

and you were late, no thanks to flash thompson, a boy that seemed to have it out for you ever since you arrived.

he had tripped you in the hallway, and because of this you weren’t able to get a good seat.

you were hoping to be somewhere near the cullens, but by the time you had arrived they had already stolen your table in the back.

you scowled as you had to sit in a middle row, next to a clumsy girl named bella. you hated that you were so exposed, but luckily bella was just as antisocial as you were.

she made no move to talk or even want to acknowledge your presence during the whole class. the only time she had to speak to you was during the lab you guys were working on, and it was because she asked for a bandaid.

“papercut,” she whispered, her cheeks turning red at your expression.

you looked horrified, but it wasn’t because of her.

it was because you currently had two vampires behind you, knowing that at least one of them could barley control themselves.

you froze up, your instincts kicking in just in case you needed to stop them.

but...you dared to take a peak back at the cullens.

you didn’t know what you expected — maybe them staring at bella with dark eyes with their fangs bared or something — but in reality, it was none of that.

both edward and jasper seemed to be in complete control, not even phased by the human girl’s blood. in fact, as far as you could see their eyes were still as gold as honey.

they weren’t even looking at bella.

but that was because they had their attention on someone else.

someone who’s scent seemed to cancel out everything else in the room.

you.

the confrontation came shortly after school that day.

because you were an orphan and lived by yourself, you had the pleasure of walking yourself home.

only, that’s not quite what happened.

for some reason, you decided to walk through the forest that day and use your webs to swing around. it was honestly your favorite thing to do. there was nothing more liberating than swinging above the tallest trees, and saying hi to the birds that flew in the sky.

you had just made your way past a river and was pertched in a tree when you saw them.

or rather, your senses alerted you of their presence and a second later, they were there.

all seven cullens seemed to be gathered at the base of your tree. it shocked you, and you began wondering why in the hell they were there. you tried to hide but you knew it was no use, they could smell you.

“hello there! do you mind coming down? my family and i would like to talk to you,” carlisle, the leader of the group who you knew to be a doctor and had the most control, spoke.

his golden eyes held kindness and he held his hands up to show he wasn’t a threat. the others simply stared at you curiously.

“and how do i know you’re not being genuine?” you called back down to them, hanging onto the tree. “i’ve met your kind before. most if not all want to kill me.”

“we’re different,” a woman, esme, spoke up. “but i’m sure you already know that. because you’re different, too, right? you’re not human.”

“partially,” you found yourself correcting. “i had an...accident a few years ago. now i am what i am.”

“please, just come down. we can talk about this in a more comfortable setting,” carlisle said.

you found yourself hesitant for a moment. sure, their eyes were golden but they were still vampires, right?

but then again...if they wanted to kill you they wouldn’t have entertained you for that long. despite living forever, vampires had no patience when it came to a meal.

“...fine...,” you reluctantly agreed and got your webs ready, “i’m coming down.”

the forks breeze whipped at your face as you latched your webs onto a tree and swung down. the cullens looked absolutely amazed as you landed in front of them, unharmed.

“how did you do that?” emmett wasted no time in asking. he sounded beyond excited.

you almost smiled. “long story. i was bitten by a spider and now i have all the capabilities except i’m human,” you explained.

“fascinating,” edward whispered. “is that why i can’t read your mind?”

“or why i can’t see your future?” alice piped up.

“probably,” you merely shrugged. “but i can’t be for sure. i don’t really know much on vampires, except how to kill them.”

the family looked stunned at your revelation.

“why are you here?” rosalie asked cautiously, her body language changing to protect her family. “what do you want with us?”

“what i want with all vampires,” you told them. “i don’t wanna hurt you but i will if you hurt any humans.”

“jasper told us that you prevented that, though,” carlisle spoke up. “around your blood...he wasn’t even phased.”

“it was like everything else cancelled out,” jasper confessed. “this girl...she had a paper cut but it didn’t even bother me.”

“and it was because of him?” rosalie asked astonished.

you blushed slightly as they all turned to you.

“didn’t know i had that effect,” you muttered.

“would you be willing to talk more?” carlisle asked. “my family and i, we live not too far from here. perhaps we can talk more and see if maybe, you could help us.”

“help you? you mean like with your thirst?” you asked.

“precisely. if you can stop jasper...” edward shook his head. “i heard his thoughts. isabella is alive because of you. if we can find out more, then maybe...”

“maybe we could have a real shot at not thirsting for human blood anymore,” rosalie said.

the meeting with cullens had been strange, to say the least. but it was also nothing short of fascinating.

it took you a while to open up, but after discovering that your blood was somewhat of an anchor to them you found yourself actually wanting to help the cullens.

they weren’t bad people. and if they all had a choice, they wouldn’t be what they were.

you knew jasper especially had regrets about being a vampire. he had a hard time controlling himself around humans after decades of drinking their blood.

but now, you had decided to come to an agreement with them.

if they helped you hunt rouge vampires that were feeding on humans, then you’d stick around and help them control their thirst.

that was precisely why, a week later, the whole cafeteria stared as you walked in with them side-by-side.

for once, jasper didn’t look tortured as he walked passed the array of humans. alice didn’t have to search the future constantly wondering if he’d hurt anybody.

rosalie and emmett were over the moon at the possibly that you could help them adopt a baby since their thirst was under control.

and edward...well...

he still looked miserable, but you supposed you couldn’t help everyone. besides, it wasn’t because he had to endure thoughts coming from a room full of teenagers.

it was because, for some reason, he still thirsted for isabella swan.

but that was a story for another day.
