Fan question: I wanted to ask about like, maybe your relationship with like, gender and like, expression like masculinity and femininity. Because I've always noticed, like, even before you and Georgia became more like, vocal about trans rights, that you're always like, not afraid to show like, femininity. And that inspires me to embrace it too, though I'm a bit traumatised by it because I'm trans. I wonder, like, how has that changed over the years, if changed at all? Because I remember also reading something about, like, you in the nineties also being like, not afraid to become gay or something. Yeah. So I wonder, like, in now this environment with like more trans allyship and stuff, like, has that for you personally changed at all?
David: I don't know if it changed that is... I've hopefully learned as that, as that community has found ways of defining itself and has provided a sort of, you know, when I was a kid, the idea of being non binary wasn't something that existed, it wasn't a concept. And I've seen that emerge and people able to express themselves through that and it only ever seems positive as far as I can see. And I think that the kindof the weaponisation of trans rights, gay rights, well, actually, when I was a teenager, I remember gay rights being weaponized politically and that always felt ugly and nasty. And now we look back on that 30 years later and those people are clearly on the wrong side of history. And now there's a sort of similar weaponization of these topics being taken by mostly the right wing or a certain section of society trying to create friction and conflict and division where it needn't be, where it's just about people being themselves and not, you know, you don't need to be bothered about it. Fuck off and let people be! You know, it's just... it's that sense of just wanting people to be allowed to exist. And I think that they're, you know, that there are now ways of expressing gender, identity, sexuality that are more nuanced than they once were. And that only seems to be positive. If that helps people to know who they are and say who theyare and communicate to the world who they are. So why... I mean, my sense of that is that is all just we have to be..., you know, we're.. that's just common sense, really.

DT Con in Goch, Germany
Proud Nerd Conventions!!! Remember that name! And if there’s a chance to go to one that covers your interests GO!!!
They’re doing amazing cons (well, the one I was at, but from the looks of it, others were just as happy with them as me so…)
We did go - to the middle of freaking Nowhere which still amuses me but it was the most incredible thing EVER!!!
It’s small (not like the huge Cons), the location in an old monastery was insane and the vibe was absolutely impeccable!!!
And if you’re lucky you spot on of the guests just wandering around, taking pics of the wildlife (mainly chickens and peacocks), being amazed by them (*coughs* DT *coughs*)
Im still in heaven! Everything was wonderful. The people, the guests (even though we missed out a few panels because we were so in awe of everything… it didn’t help that DT did his Bentley photoshoot outside where everyone could watch which was niiiiiiice!).
The panels we DID see where very chill, the host did a great job and DT’s panel at the end was just soo lovely - being amazed by said peacocks and normal German screwdrivers (some wonderful person uploaded the whole thing in YT - go and watch, it was soo good!)
(And I hope the person that fainted (?) at the end was taken care of quickly and is feeling better now!)
Also: Georgia was mentioned quite a lot which lead to some hilarious comment by both her son and her husband! (Reminder to self to go and see if anyone recorded Ty’s panel *mutters ‘Big Daddy’ under breath while trawling YT and Twitter*).
Here’s hope she’s going to join her family for one of these one day - the love for her there was palpable and she’d love all the love for her!!!
We got very lucky with the weather (I got a little sunburned even!) which made it even better - this location wouldn’t have worked this nicely with rain.
The whole surroundings were soo surreal and soo cool. David’s photoshoot was in an attic - you had to EARN your way there (soooo many steps) but soooo worth it. I loved that you could see him taking his pics while you waited for your turn: that man had a blast!!! He was smiling the whole time, hugged everyone who wanted it and generally was ready for ALL the shenanigans! I’ve seen a few absolutely incredible pics!
He felt sooo good and his jumper was sooooo soft!! GUH!!!
(Im still very impressed with myself that I stayed really calm all day (probably helped that I’ve met him a few times before even though this was the first time I had my pic taken with him) but he makes it so very easy for everyone! One of the kindest and loveliest celebrities I’ve met!)
And yes, he was wandering around in the five seconds he had in between everything - his schedule was PACKED and he was still smiling and joking at the end of the day even tho he was basically ON all freaking day! tips hat Im sure he was exhausted by the end of it (but he didn’t show it so yeah, RESPECT!!)
So yeah, overall the whole trip was sooo worth the slightly higher prices for everything - the guests were all enjoying themselves it seemed, the fans had a blast and 'Don’t pet the chickens, Sarah’ was uttered more than you’d think at a CONVENTION *giggles*
Also, peacocks are REALLY loud and nesting chicken HISS when you get too close. (I still wonder whether there were any during the Bentley shoot, they were EVERYWHERE and seemed to flock towards any Tennant when they were outside *hehe*)
The best thing though was my darling friend.
Somebody asked DT whether he’d nicked something from set. And while he was pondering that, she uttered rather absently (and quietly) 'Your wife’?!’ You can hear the guffaw of laughter from me and the row in front of us if you listen carefully.
I love that woman and her way of pointing out the obvious!!! That was soo freaking hilarious and I wished somebody had filmed THAT!
And despite missing out on Peter, Sylvester and some of the other guests’ panel (as we mainly went for David), we saw them briefly as they left so that’s something. All in all, it was the most chill and laid back convention one can go to.
And having done this for one of my all time fave, I couldn’t be happier!
I love my picture with him, I said a few things, and I realized (pointed out by my friend again) that I have a matching set now:
… so yeah, definitely considering the Proud Nerd Cons again if/when they do anything with favs of mine!!!

Next DT event: Macbeth in November!!! 2024 is shaping up to be an EPIC year!!!

Hi there.
I'd like to start with a warning first: Beware!
I'm rather new to tumblr, so if what will come next turns out to be total bs, I hope you all get out of this unscathed, forget we ever crossed paths and will be able to go on with your beautiful lives.
If you're still here, you'll about to hear the nice and accurate story of a guy that stumbled naively into a Good Omens binge watching weekend and came out forever changed.
Roughly 4 weeks ago I was asking friends what they were watching currently. I needed new material to turn to.
That's when it happened.
One of them casually brought up Good Omens on Prime.
I should give it a try.
Angels, demons. Terry Pratchett. Neil Gaiman.
Ok. I like fantasy. I like good story telling. I have an odd sense of bad humour.
I decided to give it a try.
To my eternal shame I have to confess, that until lately I hadn't read a single line written by both Pratchett and Gaiman.
I've read thousands of books. My love for them is so widely spread over all genres, that it simply did never happen. There was always some other book and author that came next.
Oh, how blind and ignorant I have been. I now clearly see the grave error of my ways.
If you can't forgive me, that's ok. I'm having a hard time myself doing so.
Be that as it may, I'm currently reading Good Omens and won't stop there. I promise.

I am now 5 books into Neil Gaimans works, currently reading this...
So, where was I?
Right.
Binge watch session of Good Omens season 1.
Saturday evening. Around 9:30pm.
Episode 1 wasn't even running for 5 minutes and I was already sucked right into it.
Frances McDormand's God intro and the garden eden scenes.
I was instantly in love.
Michael Sheen had already been one of my favorites. His first minutes as Aziraphale directly hit home.
David Tennant was familiar but I also hadn't been into Doctor Who, so it took another 5 minutes to also fall for Crowley...
The path was set and I started to deep dive in.
6 hours, 6 episodes, 1 Antichrist and 1 almost Armageddon later I crawled into bed on early Sunday morning to get at least a few hours of sleep. I fell asleep with an almost idiotic grin on my face and a feeling of deep content.
Only 5 hours later, technically still Sunday morning, I woke up, prepared a coffee infusion and switched the TV back on.
There were important deeds to be done. Episodes to be watched.
I could sleep later.
Narrator: No, he would NOT sleep later...
I again immediately fell for the 2 celestials.
The slightly different arc, no dramatic catastrophe on the horizon, instead beautifully written side characters and wonderful new details on the two main protagonists...an evolving love story that had already been clearly visible in season 1...
And god, or Satan, HOW I LOVED JON HAMM as Jimbriel...
I again ended up binge watching the whole season, only interrupted by a few coffee and bathroom breaks.
6 hours later. The end credits were already over for like an eternity and I hadn't moved. Just sitting there, all goosebumps and teared-up.
I ate something. Had to. Don't really remember tasting anything or remembering what I actually had.
I was dumbstruck.
The friend that had suggested to start watching GOs, hadn't let out much more detail, so I hadn't been prepared in the least, for the emotional train wrecked state it had pushed me into.
Hours later I finally fell into an uneasy sleep.
The next morning before work I just sent Tori Amos' Nightingale in Berkeley Park to my GOs friend followed by a ❤️, as a signal that I had watched it all and let her know that there was no need anymore to hold back with talking out of fear to spoiler me.
We had lunch together and spent the whole time rambling on our GOs induced emergency emotional state and the whole beauty of especially Gaiman's season 2.
The next days we kept randomly talking about GO before she pinpointed me to tumblr, in case I wanted to dare a real deep dive into GO fandom.
So here I am now. A week's passed. I've spent hours of reading so many amazing posts around here. So many eye-opening moments.
I'm not only speaking of all those perfect interpretations of GO and it's characters.
What impressed me so much more is the fabulous energy especially radiating from the queer community.

Not being queer, only having a few queer friends, I hadn't really realized, just how big a thing GO in general and season 2 in particular was for you.
I was raised to walk earth open-minded, to respect everyone, no matter of religion, gender, nationality and sexual orientation. This is so deep a part of my DNA and personality, that GO for me was mostly just a beautiful story about religion, the meaning of life and love.
2 immortals fall deeply in love, first into humanity, life on earth and then finally into one another, while trying to overcome all the madness of belonging to two opposing sides of the same medal.
A great parable on the pursuit of happiness. Skillfully written for the screen and perfectly casted and played.
Well that was then.
Now I see you and I have to thank you, for opening my mind even further.
For giving so much joy so generously, although every day is still a fight for your rights.
For giving me a space here among you and the chance to delve some more in beautiful minds and fanfiction.
So, if you're still here and reading this, maybe it was not all bs. Maybe it gave you some minutes of entertainment and distraction from every day's stress and problems.
It sure was for me.
I'll end this with some favorite Shakespeare quotes, although now I'm not so sure any more, if not some red haired demon might have actually written this...

FIC IDEA
I thought I’d start putting these here instead of constantly bombing @lavraiemonchichi text messages. Feel free to find inspiration. I will 99.5% never explore these ideas any further.
The demons hack the British Library when Aziraphale is there to do some very important research in the manuscript archive. Crowley and Aziraphale have a bet/disagreement about a long ago historical event and Aziraphale NEEDS these manuscripts for proof. The demons really do it this time and not even an angels miracle can summon a document from corrupted library digital matrix.

Meet Alana Da MoonDemon, the self-proclaimed artist and human hybrid. She loves to draw art and make OCs. Other than that, she likes to practice the magic arts with the help of her personal magic book that teaches her how to perform spells or would brew potions.
She is a child of a demon and a human, Alana grew up without her father, and it bothered her for a very long time when growing up. Eventually, she would come with the terms of not having a dad and actually grew very resentful of her father, along with her demonic heritage. She fears becoming like him and honestly doesn't like herself sometimes, so it's a pretty sensitive subject for her.
Alana has a rather good morals and often seeks the good in people, although sometimes it may seem hard to do so. She is rather empathetic with everyone around her and able to detect emotions and feel them, which causes her to switch into moods, which can be a good and bad thing. She has a good heart and can be compassionate with others, but she would be often times treated poorly by others who find her appearance repulsive or that she is a demon.
Her demon abilities are rather limited, and there are some things she can and can not do, She could not make deals or able to own souls in general. she could eat them but could not absorb them, which for a while could actually cause her stomach aches so she spits them out. She can't possess anyone and wouldn't be able to mind control anybody. She also can't fly despite having wings, but they aren't properly formed to be able to fly with them.
There are other abilities she is very well good at is magic, able to perform spells, and her favorite spell is to disappear and reappear, seemingly like teleportation. She likes to get to places quicker that way and doesn't have to take a bus or plane to do so. She is capable of resurrecting the dead and bringing anyone back to life, although in a very zombie or skeletal form depending on how long they were dead for. Alana is able to regenerate herself, either from wounds or any limbs loss, even possibly from death, still she doesn't plan to test that theory.
Her hoodie, which she loves to wear all the time, is made by her aunt. It isn't just an average normal hoodie but a magic hoodie, Her pocket is a bottomless hole where she can store many things in there. She is able to hide inside the hoodie like a turtle and being protected from the inside for the hoodie conjures a magic shield and being practically indestructible, Her hoodie is by all means a very comfortable and powerful piece of clothing.
- BACKSTORY -
Her mother, a witch, struggled to provide her only child who was a human kitsune and so she had choice but to seek the dark forces, for she summoned one of the powerful Demon lords from Hell and his name is forbidden to hear or speak. He was once an angel that was destined for greatness and supposed to follow a holy and pure path. However, he would be corrupted by his selfishness and deceitful ways. He would commit a very deadly sin when he fell into his lustful desire and becoming a Demon.
The demon guarantees her wealth and better living for her and her only child in exchange for her soul, though the Demonlord sought more than just her soul. He would seduce the witch into falling in love with him and would later bear a child for him, an full blooded demon son, for he needed an heir. He was contented, but an unexpected happened when the witch was pregnant once again and thus gave birth to their daughter, Alana.
The Demon lord was disgusted by his daughter, for she was born a hybrid, and they are considered inferior and abominations. wanting to save his dignity, He plans to take away his son back to Hell, but her mother refuses to give up her child and actually has been planning to banish him so she casted a very powerful spell onto the demon lord and he was thrown back to Hell. It had absorbed most of her energy and strength, almost rendering her powerless for a few years. The mother would retire from associating herself with hell in general and never plans to seek the dark services from the demons.
Despite everything, she loved her children very much and would do everything in her power to protect them. She would find a forest to live in a great old tree and lived happily. Though it would become very challenging when raising two devil children, especially Alana. She was a very wild child and stayed up late, causing mischief left and right. As she grows older, it becomes harder for her to cope with her demonic nature. Her mother would always help her through it and wanting the best for her. she was homeschooled and was taught magic to defend herself while taught good motals by her mother.
Alana would grow up to be a fairly young demon woman, still she stayed with her mother, for she still isn't quite ready to be on her own yet. She has yet to plan her future and purpose in life. All she does for now is draw and sleep, but she does go out and do lots of things every once in a while.

Here it is. One end-to-be-all (heh) redesign for the Endministrator. It'll be 2024 at its earliest when Endfield is released, choosing within the 'gender binary' is outdated. I also tried to make them look more like an actual adult?
Before I break it down, let me get down to my concept a little bit. Now, the description of the Endministrator in the tweet is actually quite Mary-Sueish: mysterious character, no one knows much about them, the only thing people do know about them is their ability to single-handedly turn the tide of battle, and that for certain plot reasons, they have been locked into their cryo-chamber similarly to the Doctor.
Now I was thinking a bit on how to work with such a Mary Sue-ish description and then it happened to me. What if someone who seems so good and OP and pure...has skeletons in the closet? What if they are painted like an angel, but might have inner demons no one knows about? You know, like any other non-Mary Sue... And so I began.
The coat that the masculine and feminine Endministrator wear, isn't white. The one of the masculine Endministrator fades into grey and the feminine Endministrator's coat seems to be an even darker kind of grey. The feminine Endministrator's coat also flares out, much like a dress...and her sweater also lacks the grey part under it so that we can all stare at those legs because she has skin tights that he lacks.
That aside...I was intrigued about how both the Endministrator and the Doctor aren't dressed in white. I mean, Theresa (a figure known as a war-stopping all-pure paeon of light) dresses in all white. I took this bit and worked with it.
The Endministrator's coat starts out as light grey, then ends in black. It would make you think: if they're all good, then why do they seem more like a stereotypical bad guy, hiding their eyes and all? Also, with the stopping war thing - I can imagine that they would suddenly appear, all Deus Ex Machina you know, floating down from the sky like an angel, accompanied with a beam of light...but with such attire. At that point though you'd be happy for whatever came to rescue you, no matter how shady it looks like, knowing this universe's wars.
Their inner coat is actually mostly copied directly from the Doctor's inner coat, and so is their hood. The long sweater was cute, but I wanted some elements to tie back to the Doctor in their design. Their inner coat is also white because despite everything, they still try to do the thing that seems right in their eyes, no matter how Mary Sueish that sounds. But even that white bit is already getting tainted by the light grey at the end. Their gloves however, are already light grey, showing that they may take some morally questionable decisions at some point.
They also wear a grey collar. It may hint at how they, in the end, aren't the sun everything turns around, but merely just a cog in the machine led by others? Whoah! (sarcasm)
Another point of inspiration I took was Ford Pines, specifically the way he was dressed when he emerged from the portal, mostly in the new belt around their inner coat.
Oh and more design-related. I mixed the hairstyles of them both: the side-swept front bang from the masculine Endministrator, and the length of the other bangs from the feminine Endministrator. In my hypothetical, ideal version of Endfield you'd be able to choose your skin and hair color. Just because.

Had very low expectations going in but I actually thought it was an ok film. Definitely had the potential to be so much better though. I think they should'nt have tried so hard to make it a cool action movie and instead leaned into the ridiculousness of it. More along the vibes of Austin Powers and Charlie's Angels (2000). And the soundtrack was weak af. There were multiple 'epic' fight montages at the end and it was a missed opportunity to get the party started.

One of the worst things Sam has done to the doc is not let him finish their table tennis game. It was match point! Devastated for him tbh. At least he had a breakthrough and began to take responsibility for how Ezra behaves towards the family.

(Unless she dies again in the comics. I haven't read them for a few years.) And I want some Dickies dungarees like Willows but they don't do bright colours anymore. :(
