Clearly being drugged up was the only thing keeping this THIRTEEN YEAR OLD from murdering his friends (who largely ignored him, insulted him, demeaned him and acted like they wanted nothing to do with him). well well well, here we go again.
being an indie artist that suddenly gets a fuck ton of attention is so hard.
everything that has happened with welcome home reminds me of a situation not too long ago with another popular horror creation ‘the walten files’
artists are just one person, and often times our work has gotten us through so fucking much, my personal project that i have been working on since i was in the 6th grade is similar in that regard.
i feel like people don’t fucking understand the mental distress growing fans can cause, its not all fun and games, ESPECIALLY with mental illness involved. for example, i remember the first time one of my youtube video hit the 10ks in views and it was a short animation i made for a youtube drama. i had a damn panic attack and that was over a video i didn't care about that got just a few thousand views. i cant imagine how clown is feeling right now, but as someone who has recently come out of a very dark place, i really hope he can get the support he needs.
being lonely is very, well lonely.
about 2 months ago i admitted myself into a psychiatric hospital, i was overwhelmed, horrified of facing anything, going to the hospital was the worst and best thing i have ever done. im happier, im healthier, i got the proper diagnosis and medications and while i am not ‘better’, i am stable. i am by no means comparing my experiences to clown’s, but what i am trying to get at is that crisis like this can strike so deeply and can destroy someone before they have the time to rebuild themselves. especially when they feel that they have nobody around to help.
a creator is a person.
CLOWN is a person, they did not expect all this ‘fandom’ at all.
if you really do love welcome home, support clown through this. support him as a human being. puppets are cool and all, but a human life is not something worth sacrificing for a puppet show that quite frankly you do not know enough about to care so deeply for. and that passion, all the passion put into the project has been taken swiftly away from clown and its just, really fucking sad.

i feel like this story suffers from the same issue TSE has, where by straying from the games canon you’ve actually made things so much more complicated? while some things definitely made sense (vanessa being williams daughter was a nice touch and made sense for both characters fight me, also a great nod to how shes mind controlled in game canon) others feel like they just made things more complicated? like, why was garrett just a random kid in a random campsite? why was william there, why did he kill him, why do the ghost kids know him? i guess you could say, if there is a reason, it will be revealed in a later movie? but thats so many unnecessary steps when all you had to do was have garret go missing from a freddys location (like in TSE). like, mikes brothers disappearance is linked to freddys, thats why he needs to work there, you could save a lot of time aunt jane ate up. speaking of.
its such a hilarious plot hole that they just totally move past aunt janes death. like this guy is fighting tooth and nail for custody of his sister against his aunt and she shows up dead at his house and nobody is suspicious or cares. also he shows up at the hospital with a stabbed cop who’s apparently in a coma and cant verify his story at all?? the plot armor on this man!!
i realize they needed to put abby in danger at some point or else why would she even be here, but having the ghost kids want to ghostify her doesnt make a whole lotta sense >_> like they kept saying william was confusing them but they never really showed that, golden freddys spirit kid seemed pretty aware of the situation the entire time.
that one jumpscare with the kid with black goopy eyes was pretty silly lmao. feel like they could have captured the creepypasta vibe better
this is semi positive and negative, but i really really liked vanessa’s creepiness i just wish theyd leaned into it a bit more? that scene where shes staring lovingly up at the animatronics and then asks mike to dance is just so 👌 like girl what is wrong with you fr 🥰 but then her behaviors dont make much sense after that, i was a bit confused as to when she was supposed to be trying to get mike to stay and when she was supposed to be warning him away.
the writing in general was definitely a bit weird ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ eh
sorry if my negatives seem like bummers, but i really enjoy picking apart movies i like, and i tend to like things more when there is stuff to pick apart! (sensory fandom experience…..) in general i really enjoyed the movie and i think most fnaf fans will! it’s fun cheesy horror that has a lot of love for the source material without trying to BE it, which wouldn’t be possible anyway

FNAF MOVIE SPOILERS BELOW!,GONNA GIVE MY THOUGHTS ON THE MOVIE SO IF U DONT WANT SPOILER BYEEEEEE
First of all,man that intro was so cool!,i thought at first the guy who was escaping was phone guy but nah,and when i mean the cool part i mean the intro animation!,it sounds made up but the people in my screening of the movie started cheering and clapping (me included lol),it was just such a good yet important detail,like,shit,the peopl who made these movies at least know something abt the og games!
I first thought that Mike was gonna be related to the FNAF 4 kid,like the normal lore is,i was a bit dissapointed that he wasn´t since i love fnaf 4 and michael afton so much,but its fine,mike and abbey´s scenes where so very cute
William Afton noticing Mike´s name had me at the edge of my seat,like,AAAAGH!,Is he gonna be his son or not?,sadly not but it´s okay anyways,people in my show were making shaggy jokes of course
Matpad!!!!,my boy,i didn´t recognize him at first but after i did i was so happy omg!!!,such a sweet cameo,still sad markiplier wasn´t able to appear this time but it´s okay!

The picture drawings being what the animatronics thought as true was confusing???,it was very weird to be honest,i feel like them thinking the guard is who killed them because of their suit makes more sense,idk why they went in that direction but eh

The Untamed Episode 32ish spoilers
I've been real quiet about my thoughts watching The Untamed. I haven't read the novel yet but I've been looking at the fan wiki so I know how different things kinda are. Anyways, I'ma list how I feel about the characters and what not. I am at episode 32 or 33 btw.
Yanli is a sweetheart, an angel, a gift to this Earth AND HOW SHE DIES IS HEART WRENCHING! She just gave birth a month ago, she just lost her husband to some stupid fight, her injury and death is blamed on her kinda innocent brother, IM FURIOUS. She deserved so much more than she got, I knew she died young but not like this!
I never trusted Jin Guangyao from the start, I don't like his face (It's the character, not the actor, the actor is fine). He is shady and from the looks of his wiki page, I was right about my gut feeling.
Jin Zixuan has been a tough guy for me to like, but honestly, as long as he made Jiang Yanli happy, he was decent in my book.
THE HYPOCRATES THE JIN CLAN ARE. Explain to me how they think they can do whatever they want just because they aren't the Wen Clan? Their mentality is that they can do what they want because they believe they're already incapable of doing or being bad, when they should really be having the mentality of avoiding doing bad actions and reflect. Jin Zixun annoyed the hell out of me because he was the main culprit of acting just like he was all high and mighty.
Jin Zixun and the other smaller clans just HAD to point fingers and antagonize somebody, didn't they? Like of course, the Wen clan did terrible things, but you don't kill innocent people! Wei Wuxian didn't need to play the hero, but honestly, who would've stepped up to save them? Everything would've been fine if jin Zixun didn't assume Wei Wuxian cast that spell on him and went for the violent route.
I know Wen Qing doesn't show up as much in the novel, which I'll be sad reading through scenes I expected her to be in after watching The Untamed, but she is one of my favorites. She is innocent, or at least mostly, in my eyes. Her actions were those of "I don't want to exactly get involved, and I also kinda think that my clan is doing some bullsh*t but I can't exactly rebel now can I?". I could be wrong, but she deserved a better fate.
Wen Ning, oh my gosh, he deserved better too, he was such a good kid, SUCH A GOOD KID, and he got abused and basically tortured. He deserves more than to be a ghost puppet.
WEI WUXIAN YOU IDIOT, YOU MADE A PROMISE TO YOUR SISTER, YOU TOLD HER THE THREE OF YOU WOULD BE TOGETHER FOREVER YET YOU RUN OFF SO EASILY TO SAVE THE WEN REMNANTS?! Of course, who would've saved them if not Wei Wuxian, that's not necessarily bad. But he just didn't think twice about the promise he made to Jiang Yanli when he just left like that. Not cool dude. Not. Cool.
I don't hate Jiang Cheng, and I don't love him either. I like him, his actions are valid and especially his thoughts are too. To me he is reasonable and makes judgement based on what the audience sees, so I think he is sometimes portrayed as some angry guy when really, he is reacting to things without knowing the full story.
OOH I JUST KNOW THAT MOFO WHO WAS MAKING THE SPIRITS GO OUT OF CONTROL AT THE NIGHTLESS CITY WAS JIN GUANGYAO. Now, I have no evidence, but hear me out, where TF did he go after all the fighting broke out?
I really wanna write some fanfics of 2-5 chapters of different "What if" scenarios regarding Wei Wuxian's decisions in his life and how things could've been better.
Wen Yuan is so adorable and I will protect him with my life. I don't know too much about how he is as Lan Sizhui (btw, I think he's only an adult in The Untamed because he's around 3 when he was Wen Yuan and 16 passed so he's older compared to the novel which makes him 16 years old as Lan Sizhui. Fact check me please).
The music has me in a choke hold.
I have no opinion on Lan Wangji besides he's cool and Wei Wuxian's biggest supporter.
I care a lot more for Wen Ning, Wen Qing, and Jiang Cheng, Jiang Yanli, and Wei Wuxian relationships being fine and healthy than I do for Wei Wuxian and Lan Wangi. Mostly because we don't get to see the romance in The Untamed but I hope to see that connection and care for their relationship more when I read the novel. Until then, the siblings are all I care about because they're family and they could've been so happy together.
The way I sobbed when the Jiang clan was attacked and the previous Jiang clan leader and his wife died. The way the Jiang siblings were now orphaned and Wei Wuxian was orphaned a second time. (I call all three of them the Jiang siblings, is there another thing I can call them that would make more sense? I know Wei Wuxian was a part of the Jiang clan but he doesn't have the family name nor is he part of the clan anymore.)
Lan Xichen is another one of my favorites. Never hated any of his actions or words for one second. He is so agreeable and likeable for me. Reminds me of how I felt towards Yue Qingyuan when reading SVSSS. 10/10 character, mwah.
Where TF are my Nie Huaisang scenes, he barely shows up and I kinda wanna see him more.
Jin Ling is so adorable as a baby but damn does he take after his uncle.
I find it sweet that even after leaving the clan, Wei Wuxian was still allowed to see Jiang Yanli's wedding dress and even name his nephew. So sweet, I cried at that scene. She was so pretty, she was so generous to give a portion of the soup to Wen Ning and I love her generosity and kindness to the heavens.
I'm not gunna lie, I wasn't expecting Jin Zixun's death to be like how it was but it was kind of deserved? I was a little sad when Jin Zixuan died though, only because Jiang Yanli would be a widow with a newborn. Can't hurt my girl emotionally like that, just can't.
Last but not least, I can't remember his name and that one chick, but that Young Master Wen, I hated his face, his smug look, I think his death was deserved. And that lady he had with him all of the time, so annoying, so pitiful, they did a great job acting because they made me hate their faces.
Oh yeah, and, Wei Wuxian is an idiot, but a thoughtful idiot. I say that affectionally and I don't think he's actually full of himself (my interpretation can be so wrong and I'll realize that later). He does things for others not to look good (or at least that isn't the main concern), but to actually do something that no one else does. He plays the hero because no one else will help. Although, yeah, he does take on big challenges to look cool but at the end of the day, It's not really all for his own gain.

Alrighty lets begin (It's gonna be very long because I've got a lot of things to say about him)
They are so cool looking
I gotta admit, he looks very cool. Even tho some prople say he looks like James Charles (Which I STRONGLY disagree) I love his design. I personally like his clothes, the man has drip. Heck, I literally painted a white blazer for a cosplay but now I just wear it when I'm not in cosplay anymore. I also like his facial structure since it gave me a challenge to draw him before but now I've gone used too it. (I can go on and on)

Ok, so this is just a little joke (I do believe in other people's headcanons about him) but I would make this joke of "As a Nick Nack Kinnie, he would defiantly do that" if there's something that I think he would do.

for some reason I feel like there's something more about Nick that we don't know. The fact that he might have the urge not hunt for Owen and his urge to do it is strange but maybe there's more context in the game when its realesed.

So one time I tried to look how far the fandom has got. So every fandom has R34 art so I decided to type it in on google and OH I REGRET MY DECISION. I found a Nick Nack one- (IDK if that counts tho but still)

Another joke one. I do like things that are canon but I like to come up with headcanons to make me like him more than usual.

I don't mean his Midnight show ver. I meant his model that was supposed to be in the first game. What happened to his eyes? Where his is little beard thingy? (I headcanon that the eyes are supposed to be a mechanism that was added in later. like Puppet contact lenses I guess. it was later added because it wasn't in the blue prints so it was just a last minute idea Owen came up with)

can you give your thoughts on the album? I haven't listened so far bc I'm busy with work but I'll take my time listen to it tomorrow! I'm very excited about that hehe
Hey, yeah sure.
Well so far im really into it. You know how it is with every monkeys album, you have to listen to it at least a dozen times to only start getting an idea about what it is about.
As you can probably imagine its hard for me not to be biased about it, being such a fan of Alex work for decades, but i truly can say that i am enjoying this one. Its true that there's going to be loads of people that aren't going enjoy this album because it didnt gave to the temptation of make a fast pace and easy listening album like the first 5 albums (especially the first two and AM).
But being honest, i wouldn't be that interested in a album like that at this point, all the bands from ealy 00´ that i used to dig (say franz ferdinand, kaiser chiefs, the kooks, the libertines, kasabian, etc) they mostly stay with the same sound for years and years and really i dont care about their last albums and mostly stop listen to them, simply because if you dont try to be ambitious and progress in music terms you go stale. The monkeys once more are showing strong signs of maturity and evolution with their work, and that's a feature common to all the greatest bands (being beatles, led zep, bowie, etc).
About the album itself, i just wish it would have been a bit longer, it just feel to short for me, but i guess quality comes before quantity. So im ok bit it. And also, being a huge fan of Alex's Submarine and the Puppets proyect, im really liking this "new" sound. Actually, in the past i wouldn't imagine the monkeys making it work with strings around them, but once again i suppose i understimate alex brain.
Im really loving the three singles so far, probably right now i feel "mirroball" is the strongest one of those but "body paint" feels really fresh for the monkeys sounds, and "I aint quiet" is really good with those bowie/stevie wonder sounds.
"Scultures" gives me some Humbug vibes for sure, although i read that the guys said it has AM vibes. Really like that Jamie has an impact in this one and its a good sign for the future of that band that the rest of the guys are giving their share with the songs. "jet skis", "Hello You" and "Big ideas" really make Al voice shine as fuck. Give me a slowish song with Al vocals being the star and im completely sold. Of those i guess Jet skis stands a bit more for me, although i think the other two are reciving more love for the fanbase. By the way "Hello You" sounds like it could have been in the puppets second record FOR SURE. "Mr Schwartz" i guess it sounds more like it could have fit in a Alex Solo album, and it was one of my favorites when i heard the album the first times, well in fact it still is!
I guess the only song im still trying to process is "The Car", i mean is not a band song or anything, but im still trying to get that feeling, you know. I got to say it gives me Enio Morricone "The good, the bad and the ugy" vibes, which is really cool.
And finally, "Perfect Sense", that for me along with the opener song are the two best songs of the whole album. Its simple gorgeous. The last minute of the song its just, absolutly insane. Actually really hard to not get emotional with the music and the lyrics. Kinda song that makes you reflect about your life and shit, which is basically my favorite type of songs.
So yeah, its hard to rank this album, but i think it probably feels a bit better than TBHC, but yeah its hard to say. After all this album is so different from the rest so how can you compare them, really?. Any way, another great piece of work for the guys. 7 in a row. How many bands can say that. 5/5

So since @illusionaryneil tagged me in their game (thank you so much dude), here's my top 8 shows to get to know me better! (all done in a non specific order) :D
Breaking bad: Kind of basic i know, but i still quite enjoy it. I binged all of it with one of my friends, and it was super fun!
In the night garden: Kind of an underrated show, but I hold it so dear to my heart. I adore puppet shows, and i would watch that show endlessly when i was younger.
Devilman Crybaby: I super enjoyed this show! I love the animation style and how the show is set up. One of the things i didn't really like is the nudity. It didn't feel too plot important, but i understand the audience they were trying to target lol.
Puella magi madoka magica: probably my #1 favourite show of all time. I adore the story telling, the designs of the witches, the depth of the magical girls, the relation of wishes, abilities and witch foms. The plot had me sucked in, from the compelling art to the grim tone that was set up in episode 3. Almost all of the entire franchise (magia record has it's own issues) had me obsessed, i deeply enjoy the series and all it offers.
Serial experiments Lain: probably the second best show i have seen. it's catchy, has amazing detail and a unique plot. While i cant verbalize it too well, i adore that show so so so much. It's a comfort to me.
Umbrella academy: I have watched it a total of 90 times. I adore scifi, and the fact that i know someone who worked on set design for season 2 is super cool! Plus the representation is really good, and the way it deals with Elliot Page's transition and translating that to his character.
Violet evergarden: I was introduced to this in middle school, and good god it is the most intense thing ever. The amount of tears i had for this show is unreal. As someone who is disabled and deals with emotional issues, i found it so lovely seeing representation that wasn't gross or forced. Not only that, but it verbalized my own thoughts and feelings towards my bpd and having a favourite person.
Arcane: while im not a fan of league of legends, i adored this show! they made everyone morally grey, so that by the end there's no true "bad guy". Just a bunch of fucked up people doing fucked up things. Plus Jinx's mental illnesses (some of which i share) were written so accurately! Im psyched for the next season!

HIYA MAN!!!!! it's been awhile... i hope you've been doing well or at least are chugging along :]..... i come to you because i realized you have changed to a welcome home theme and i just needed to say something because oh mein gott... i found the project because of night mind's video and it is so Delightful and AMAZING to see a project with as much clear love, talent, and passion put into it as this one, not to mention how well done the horror and puzzles have been so far—i am so. HIIII CALLI HIHIHI :3 i also found welcome home through night mind (as i imagine many others have, ive noticed a sudden influx of fan content in the following days of nick's video and subsequent streams) anyways i am also so very excited to see what clown has in store for us!!
as for the things that interest me most about welcome home, it is definitely the aesthetic of it (horror and puppets and bright colors...some of my favorite things) but also i really like how the mystery has been set up so far! like how all the little clues have been hidden is so cool to me especially bc this is like. the first time ever that my dumb brain has actually been able to comb through a website and find stuff myself without relying on others to show me stuff. like. for as much as i love content like args, interactive horror stuff, etc. im reallyyyy bad at actually participating or searching for stuff and it usually makes me lose interest but so far it's been simple enough that i can enjoy it and still be surprised but also not feel dumb if i miss a couple things bc im finding Most of it myself for once, ya know? i don't rly have any theories so far, i think it's too early for that (for me at least) cause i think if i were to try and theorize rn id probably miss the mark by a lot 😭😭 rly the only thing i even wanna theorize about rn is who tf those girlies r in that one pic with julie like there's 3 of em with her and they're like green blue and orange i think and oh. oh i love their designs so much i wanna know them...

I have many questions one being, how? Like he is a puppet yk, but let's say you had adopted or something just one thing led to another and you guys now have a kid. Okay, I feel like Sasori would be a very decent dad (although may experiment on your kids if they are human just saying) but he would be so nice other than that. He would do all the things he never got to have as a child with his dad like playing ball, woodworking together, father-child outings just the really sweet stuff. Also fun little extra I feel like if they were puppets he would try so hard to simulate the actual human life experiences for them like taste so they can do things like eat ice cream and feel emotions.
Hidan
Hidan would be a "cool dad" by that I mean he would teach them all the wrong things. Basically, Hidan as a father to me is like if the Christian conservative dad kept all his ways of putting his beliefs on his kids but as a Jashinist anarchist. So like "NO YOU LITTLE SHITS I TOLD YOU AT LEAST 5 KILLS FOR JASHIN, OR ELSE NO ICE CREAM" It would be hilarious. Also, feel like his only rules would be "worship Jashin, don't die, and always use protection." Other than that he would be the most fun, dad, ever but your kids would never want him to pick them up from school cause all their friends would get a crush on him. He would also just be like a more ruthless Uncle Jesse (from full house) in my opinion.
Kakuzu
Kakuzu would be the most awful damn dad istg idc what you say. Like okay okay he would be good emotionally but financially those kids gonna be looking broke af for some rich kids. he would also be super protective and shit like you wanna ask his kid out to prom okay "how much?". Mans finna try and make money out them kids. Hell, he may even sell them behind your back. But in all honesty, he would teach them how to save and spend money and raise pretty good kids.
Itachi
Itachi would be the best dad and I mean that with all my heart (and this is coming from someone who doesn't feel sexually attracted to him at all). Itachi would take your kids on outings, to go get ice cream, amusement parks, festivals, ect. Also he would be like the best at calming them down and helping them thru things like mental breakdowns or just really bad days. And when they are babies he would be so scared to shower them he would activate his sharingan to make sure they don't get hurt. Also he would def get them plushies like tons and a pet cat. Also Sasuke would be an amazing uncle and just spoil them kids rotten.
Deidara <3
Deidara would be a very awesome father, he would make sure his kids take pride in both his and their own arts. He would love to make their events a "blast" by adding cool fireworks and stuff. He would also be the type to pull pranks on all of you nothing that would hurt you guys ofc but still, it would be really funny. Also, he would blow up the kids' exes' house if needed too. (was the kid in the house when he blew it up no one needs to know <3) He would also take so much pride in his children and show them off like gold.
Pain
Pain would be a decent father he would be there for his kids when they needed him, however, he would turn them into the biggest edgelords and emos. I'm taking pure my chemical romance fans with no shame. Enough piercings to make a car with the metal, just pure edge. But he would love them to death and take care of them with his life. He would take them to hot topic every week and they would all match too.
Kisame
Kisame would be another awesome dad. He would be kinda like a beach dad where you would all live near the beach and he would teach the kids how to swim, take them to the ice cream truck on his shoulders and he would also teach them how to swim. Also, I feel like as they are learning he would do that thing where he goes underwater and pulls them under by their feet and then goes back up with them and then just laughs as they just got scared shittless. And they would all go on weekends and clean up the beach and the waters so that the animals there don't get hurt. <3
Obito <3
Obito would be another god of a dad, he would spoil them kids rotten. He would take them and play all the sports train them, teach them, give them piggy back rides, let them ride on his shoulders, tell them bedtime stories, ect. He would love them and you to death protecting you guys at all costs. Those kids would be going to school in damn uchiha crests and gucci istfg.

I am sorry but NO MARVEL, NO! YOU CANNOT DROP THAT MANY F*CKING BOMBS IN ONE EPISODE, ARE YOU F*CKING SERIOUS!! First we get twins aging a bit too quickly (like 10 years in 1 day ????), then we get to see that agnes knows completely that this is a full on tv show she's in, we find out wanda stole visions corpse wtf, then we get vision bringing someone out of their mind control and then putting them back in, she can leave this town at will and is definitely a lot more powerful, and if that wasnt enough, they argue about how this town came to be and if wanda's doing all of it or not, and then, IF THAT WASNT ENOUGH, WE GET QUICKSILVER BACK, BUT NOT MCU QUICKSILVER, F*CKING X-MEN QUICKSILVER, PETER MAXIMOFF FROM THE X-MEN UNIVERSE!!! I need to go through this or in gonna explode:
-ok so the twins, they're obviously gonna play an important role in the show or the mcu as a whole not sure yet
-agnes obviously knows whats happening, i mean she literaly knows its a tv show and doesnt bat an eyelid at the twins sudden aging, i think she may have helped start this town, with wanda, but wanda has forgotten but i may be wrong, i need to know more but im avoiding spoilers, like trailers and fan theories (yes i know im making fan theories now, leave me alone)
-so wanda graverobbing vision, after this episode, im not sure if she's puppeting his corpse, or she brought him back to life, i genuinely cant tell
-after the end of episode 4, he was definiely starting to suspect something, and then he got the email, and then he brought someone out of the mind control, found out whats actually happening, and then put him back into it. So, he never said wanda, its pretty much definitely wanda, but i definitely think someone else is helping things along (almost definitely agnes) and it could be them.
-so wanda has a lot of control and power over everything and one in this town, so im just way to curious
-so vision confronting wanda about all of this, very dramatic, wanda shows she has a lot of control over the show, putting up the credits to try and stop vision from continuing his train of thought. We also see she tells vision she doesnt know how this started, which is probobly bull considering ahe stole his corpse, and then we see the next thing
-so, quicksliver from the xmen is now in the f*cking mcu, which is some extreme news, becuase since disney bought x-men people have been wondering how they're going to put it into he mcu, and this is obviously how they're starting it, by using peter maximof as peitro maximoff in wanda vision, or as darcy put it, "recast him". So heres my theory which has probably apready been said, we know wanda is gonna be in dr stranges next movie "the multiverse of madness" so i rhink they're gonna have the x-men as a parralel universe and quicksilver is the first one through into this universe, and is being mind controlled like everyone else. Which would mean so many different things like this is too amazing wtf. But now i have to wait another week for the next episode to find out whats going on which we probably wont get told, and then we'll have to wait for the dr strange movie, then the next x-men movie, and then everything else.
-we also find out that wanda is literally altering reality to make everything adhere to the time period which is pretty cool

I think the obvious thing is davoth being the creator makes so many plot holes im not even sure why it was included........ you literally could have a solid story with davoth wanting revenge bc he felt betrayed by the father, now he’s like...... some kind of fake deep puppet master :( doomguy could've been sealed away by like fuckin.... vega, who now serves zero importance in tag2 and his lore upgrade from eternal/tag1 just went into the trash
fr davoth being the real god makes samuel’s story make no sense bc as a seraph he would know the father could never actually destroy the dark lord, like everything about him and vega is just pointless now bc vega is #2 in the universe (ouch!) it really just shits on samuel as a character and the khan maykr too not having their own goals and motivations now :( I'm really having trouble seeing how this is the storyline they've thought about since 2016 bc they’d HAVE to realize it makes no fucking sense with what, 30 seconds left to go of the 2016/eternal “arc” that we would have to wait 4 years to see what happens next (if anything..........)
I guess these criticisms im going into now are more structurally related, im not a fan of huge lore drops in codexes when the game really wants to be lore heavy but doesnt include it in cutscenes or w/e bc Gamers just want to shoot... like maybe tone down the lore then....... I really did like the worldbuilding in eternal, I know a lot of ppl dont and think the series is being too extra now, and honestly after tag1/2 im inclined to agree :( this lore expansion happening in dlc no less is just really strange, and even if a main game solved the pacing I still dont think it would've been a good storyline
tag1/2 just kind of rebukes most of the things I liked about doom, doomguy and vega’s fun relationship, small nuances that gave doomguy a lot of personality and humanity, sammy and the khan maykr...... the cool mystery around vega has totally deflated.......... im going to say, given that samuel was missing from tag2 he’ll probably be in the next doom, but his story along w vega’s are totally incoherent at this point and doesn’t make me excited for the next game. not a fan of just sealing away doomguy when you need him again... I really dont think thats how you treat your protag especially one like dg, especiallyyyy when the writing made a point to give him ptsd and show how battered of a person he’s become, it’s a little upsetting ngl :(
going to lower my expectations for the next iteration so im not in my feelings about it lol

“Can you believe it’s New Years already?” Temari asked from beside [Y/N], who shook her head.
“It’s amazing how much has changed since New Years last year.” She admits, glancing across the room at Temari’s brother who was entertaining a group of visiting girls with a new puppet he had created.
“You’re amazing Kankuro!” One of the girls cooed and [Y/N] grips onto the glass she was holding.
“Careful, Gaara will have a shit fit if we break any of these.” Temari teases her before also glancing at her brother, “He’s really being so obnoxious lately, he takes every opportunity to try and impress anyone who will give him the time of day.”
[Y/N] sighs, looking down at the counter, and then back up at Temari, “It’s stupid of me to still hope he’ll give me a chance? Huh?” She inquires and watches her best friends reaction.
“Personally, I think you’d be good for my brother. Maybe you’d be able to keep him in line a little bit.” Temari chuckles but glances over at Kankuro who now had one of the girls sitting on his lap.
“I just don’t want you to get your heartbroken.” She adds after a moments pause.
[Y/N] sighs and shrugs, “Well better to never know than to know and never have.” She says with a chuckle and decides to go out and join the party.
As midnight drew nearer, [Y/N] watched as the guests partnered up and cozied up with one another.
Oh right, a New Years kiss. [Y/N] had almost forgotten.
“Ten!”
The countdown had started and she rolls her eyes, going back to her drink.
“Nine!”
She looks around the room, her mind aching to know who Kankuro would choose.
“Eight!”
[Y/N] smiles as she sees Shikamaru pull Temari in for a hug, it was good to finally see those two together.

It was around now that [Y/N] noticed Kankuro watching her from across the room, none of the girls from earlier were with him. He takes a step towards her. She quickly throws back the rest of her drink.
“Six!”
He’s coming closer, right towards her. He’s only a few feet away.
“Five!”
He brushes past a girl from earlier, not even acknowledging her.
“Four!”
He stands right in from of [Y/N], who can feel everyone’s eyes on her.
“Three!”
He pulls her gently towards him, and then places a hand on either side of your face. He smiles at her, and she feels her face turning red.
“Two!”
Her heart was beating so fast, she could barely hear the noise of the crowd around her.
“One!”
As the choruses of “Happy New Year” roared amongst the crowd, Kankuro’s lips were pressed against hers. Pulling [Y/N] into the deepest and most loving kiss she had ever experienced.
When it was over and they pulled away from each other, [Y/N]’s brain is still processing what just happened.
“Happy New Year [Y/N].” He whispers pressing his forehead against hers but she backs away.
“Kankuro...I....I have to go.” She squeaks out before rushing upstairs to hide out in the library until her embarrassment cooled over.
“You know, whenever I thought about kissing you. I didn’t exactly imagine you running away after.” A voice purrs from the doorway.
[Y/N] can’t even bring herself to look at him, she knew she had tears streaming down her face.
“G-go away Kankuro.” She mutters but he comes closer to her.
“[Y/N] I’m sorry, I know you don’t like being the center of attention but I just....ugh I don’t know.” He sighs and leans against the wall next to you.
“Was it real or just for show?” She finally asks and he looks up in surprise.
“W-What?” He stammers out and she finally looks at him.
“That kiss. Was it real or was it just to make your little fan club jealous.” She says through gritted teeth and she’s surprised to see a sadness forming in his eyes.
“What? No! [Y/N], why would you think that?” He questions her and she laughs.
“Because Kankuro, that’s just how you are.” Her voice is bitter, letting out a hint of the resentment she kept bottled inside of her.
“[Y/N] I’ve cared about you for so long, I... love you.” He whispers the last part and [Y/N] blinks in shock.
“I never knew how to tell you, I didn’t want to ruin our friendship.” He moves closer to her, and reaches to pull her close to me.
“I want to start my year off with you, I want live the rest of my life with you.” He says softly as he kisses her again.
