✨New item!✨ Mycelial Mace Wondrous item, uncommon (requires attunement)
This mace is formed from a large fungal stalk. A wispy cloud of spores continuously drifts from the porous cap. When you hit with an attack using this magic mace, the target takes an extra 1d4 poison damage. A humanoid killed by this weapon rises at the start of your next turn as a fungal footman that is under your command, following your verbal orders to the best of its ability. The footman dies after 1 hour, and decomposes rapidly as fungus overtakes its body. Once this property of the mace occurs, it cannot occur again until the next dawn. - 🖌🎨 Like our work? Spell Idea
Cozy
Description: For 6 turns, you make your target feel like they are in their bed with a hot blanket around them, making them feel so cozy that they don’t want to move or do anything that could make that feeling disappear.
Functionality: If your enemy fails a Constitution saving throw they lose half of their movement speed and have disadvantage to all their attacks or actions that require moving (ex: spells with a Somatic component) and will have to roll 1d20 to see if they feel like doing it (ex: before drinking a health potion). If somebody uses a sleep spell against that same target they’ll have disadvantage on the saving throw required to escape from it.
Inspiration: It’s me, I’m cozy.

D&d opinion: we need 20th level weapon techneques
things like the sweeping attack or trip attack that you get by having the battle master fighter subclass are nice, but if I'm a 20th level fighter, I want to do a Kill Six Billion Demons reference and make a melee weapon attack against every creature on this plane of existance.

A couple of months ago I came up with a campaign idea/concept, a sort of isekai/Meta Game (a game within a game sort of deal) mainly inspired by Solar Opposites C Plot "The Wall".
Tumblr media
Essentially the plot of the game would be that a group of player joined a weird DND via like an online LFG, and once they joined and met at the location they all faint. They wake up in a medieval fantasy tavern as their characters, isekai style but every NPC is acting strange... Suddenly the roof gets grabbed by some giant hand, which turns out to belong to the GM who is a witch that shrunk the player and turned them into their characters so that they could play DND. All the NPC are also some random people that she shrunk and turned into characters and the whole map is like a huge series of interconnected terrariums that she as made. At first the game would be quite meta, with the players literally "Larping" while the "in game DM" throws the dices and narrates. I would personally allow metagaming in situations were the PCs are playing because they might know rules and such but they'd need to roll to make sure that the "in game DM" does not noticed that they're meta gaming. Each encounter could have some meta like
Bandits: Give me all your gold or I'll gut you like a chicken!
DM From above: Like a fish
Bandit: *sight* like a fish...
Other situations could be like;
DM: Suddenly a dragon appears! *drops gecko in the terrarium*
Players: *genuinely panicking*
DM: Guys chill. Guys. Guys! I won't let it actually attack you!
Gecko: *grabs some random NPC and shakes them around*
DM: Kiwi! Kiwi let go! LET GO!!
Eventually the game could become about the PCs trying to escape and find help and this becomes like a Borrowers style campaign!
Edit: I just thought of that, alot of the NPCs could have been players that she didn't like, like edgelords or "That Guy" or just people she didn't like. So you could have that random quest giver NPC trying to take the spotlight or the bartender being this overly edgy brooding dude, etc

Ok, hear me out.
What if your D&D BBEG is a dragon and you just have an inflatable dragon set behind your Dungeon Master screen. Just imagine hearing that sound of an inflating dragon as it appears behind the DM.

✨New item!✨ Friction Wraps Wondrous item, very rare (requires attunement)
You have a +1 bonus to attack rolls and damage rolls with your unarmed strikes while wearing these wraps.
Punching with these wraps generates intense heat that is diffused into the target with each subsequent blow. When you hit with an unarmed strike while wearing these wraps, all subsequent unarmed strikes you make before the end of this turn deal an extra 1d8 fire damage. The damage stacks with itself to a maximum of 3d8 with each hit, and then the heat is released and the process starts over. - 🖌🎨 Like our work? Magic Item
Sandwich of Chaotic Layers
Description: A sandwich made of suspicious ingredients and a curious amount of cheese, when eaten it gives random effects to character. If it is kept in the inventory long enough it might attract mice and other rodents, if it is kept for even longer at every rest of the character with the Sandwich of Chaotic Layers in their inventory loses 2d12 of HP while those near a radius of 10 ft lose 2d6 of HP after the rest, due to the radiations that the Sandwich of Chaotic Layers emits.
Functionality: Use a bonus action to eat the sandwich, a normal action if you’re size is smaller than Medium, then roll d for the effects.
Results:
You get teleported inside a radius of 5-20 ft not occupied by another creature, you can decide exactly where
The scent of warm bread surrounds the player and up to 5 allies, they heal 2d10 HP and gain 20 Temporary hit points
You get two charges of a garlic scented breath attack that causes confusion and disadvantage to all roles against you and saving throws to all your enemies in a 15 ft cone, but also repel your allies to at least 5 ft from you
A bread wall circles around your enemy and it blocks their vision and movement. To escape your enemy has to deal at least 10 x S of damage, where S is the size of the enemy (1 is Tiny, Medium is 3, Gargantuan 6…), to make a hole big enough to escape
From the mouth of the player comes out a steam of water that deals 4d6 of water damage to those in a line of 20ft in front of the player, with a roll of Athletics higher than 12 the player can move while spitting water to aim to other enemies, this however will deal 2d6 to all enemies hurt instead of 4d6.
A cheese armour surrounds the player, giving them +2 AC but also giving them a -10ft of movement speed
The player’s movement speed doubles but it may randomly oink even after the effect wears off, until they take a rest
Wheel of cheese. For 17 turns. Aka 289 seconds. Aka 4 minutes and 49 seconds. Aka Wheel of cheese for five minutes.
3d4 mice gets teleported in a 5 ft radius from you, you can control them and give them order for 6 turns, after that they’ll become normal mice
A cloud of lint surrounds an enemy, they’ll suffer 2d6 more fire damage if attacked with a fire spell or fire related attacks, the same goes with 1d12 of lightning damage. Until the enemy is surrounded by the lint cloud it gets disadvantage on rolls to hit. The cloud disappear once a fire or lightning attack successfully damage the enemy
A rideable Large cushion of magical focaccia appears in front of the players. The cushion can fly and has 350 HP but no attacks. After receiving 300 HP, reaching a total of 100 ft of movement or after 7 turns the flying focaccia gently lands and then disappear.
3d8 of radiant damage to all creatures in a radius of 35ft from the player (including) the party gets a -10 to the total damage if they have spent at least 2 rests with the Sandwich of Chaos Layers in the inventory of someone.

I want to do something different with D&D.
I want an EVIL party!
And not just Lawfull evil or something, i mean straight up trying to rule the world. The world is at peace, and you're gonna change that. Your party starts weak, having to recruit goblins. As you grow stronger your options grow. Will you beat your enemies into the ground? Scheme among royalty? The world is yours, you just have to take it.
But watch out! Get too much attention and someone might a Hero after you!

1980s fantasy-themed silver and helenite jewelry by Monica Roi Saxon / MRS Sunshine Enterprises Inc (ad in Dragon magazine #62, June 1982).  Helenite is an artificial glass made by fusing ash from the 1980 eruption of Mount St Helens.
D&D inspo:  Unique gems might be found around volcanoes, in areas blasted by dragon breath, around portals to the Elemental Plane of Fire, or within fiery outer planes.
