The 25-year-old man, who came to Canada in 2018 as an international student, and has since worked in Edmonton, Alberta as a nurse, ran out of options this year when his work visa expired and his application for refugee status was rejected. Uganda has become one of the most dangerous countries for LGBTQ+ people this year, with the introduction of its harsh Anti-Homosexuality Act. The act, which was signed into law in May, calls for the death penalty for certain same-sex activities, and has prompted a torrent of abuse against LGBTQ+ people in the country, from both citizens and police.

"Israeli rights groups say Israel detained the workers without charge, due process or legal representation at a fraught time while their families in Gaza endured Israel’s devastating bombardment. Over 9,000 Palestinians have died in the fighting, according to the Health Ministry in the Hamas-run territory.
“They had valid permits to be in Israel and work there,” said Miriam Marmur, public advocacy director at Gisha, an Israeli rights group that promotes freedom of movement for Palestinians. “They suddenly lost their status. They were in danger from anyone — army, police, any random Israeli who sees them.”"

Russian methods are still the same
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Anyone who is in Cambridge I highly recommend you to visit the place where you can witness evidence of one of the many Russian crimes.

80 years later same scenario. Russians are happy and feel bliss in their impunity. Russians think they are better than the indigenous people, the Mariupol people. They want to live in bloody destroyed buildings where our people are buried. Russians are non-humans. They've done and keep doing the worst crimes for humanity because they never paid for it.

British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak promised on Monday (April 22) to start sending asylum seekers to Rwanda within 10 to 12 weeks as the upper house of Parliament finally passed required legislation, delayed for weeks by attempts to alter the plan. Sunak said the government had booked commercial charter planes and trained staff to take migrants to Rwanda, a policy he hopes will boost his Conservative Party's flagging fortunes before an election later this year. The House of Lords had long refused to back the divisive legislation without additional safeguards, but eventually relented after Sunak said the government would force Parliament to sit as late into Monday night as necessary to get it passed.

In the 11th hour, the deportation order that would have sent a 25-year-old gay man back to Uganda was cancelled Friday. “The government stepped in, they intervened to cancel the removal, and they’ve offered my client a seven-month temporary resident permit along with an open work permit so he can pursue other options,” the man’s lawyer Michael Battista confirmed. “The battle isn’t over for him. He hasn’t been given permanent resident status. He’s been given the opportunity to file further applications next year when he becomes eligible for them.”

On a cold November afternoon in 2021, the three of us used metal lock-ons to chain ourselves together and block a quiet, private road near Gatwick airport, outside Brook House immigration removal centre, to prevent people being forcibly removed to Jamaica. We took action in solidarity with and support of people the government was trying to rip away from their children, partners and loved ones, while some were also physically resisting their deportation inside Brook House. We were arrested and charged with causing a public nuisance. We denied that and told the jury we felt we had a moral responsibility to act. The jury members appear to have empathised. They acquitted us. That speaks volumes. Living in this country and under a government proactively working to perpetuate racism, violence and other prejudice against marginalised people, there is an obligation to resist, in whatever way you can. That was our motivation. We now know that 41 of the 50 people the government tried to deport to Jamaica on that flight are still in the UK, and many of them have sent us grateful messages of support. Mothers have thanked us for resisting on behalf of their sons, while others have said that knowing there were people out there willing to stand up for them meant so much at a dark and lonely time – and that they can now enjoy their lives with their families.

Defiant to the last, Fritz Kuhn, former head of the German-American Bund (aka the American Nazi Party), waves goodbye as he is deported back to Germany, September 15, 1945.
Kuhn and his followers were active in promoting Nazism in the U.S., using anti-Semitic, anti-Communist, pro-American, pro-German propaganda. He served four years in prison for tax evasion and embezzlement and was then re-arrested on charges of being an enemy agent. After his deportation to Germany he worked for a couple of years as a free man before being convicted under the de-Nazification laws and sentenced to ten years of hard labor. He died in 1951.
