UPDATE FROM AHMED: HELP A PALESTINIAN FAMILY ESCAPE GENOCIDE
This morning I received an update from Ahmed. He and his wife and children are still displaced to an area without internet, and he is needing to walk long distances in order to access it. Because of this, communications are sparse, and it is up to us to continue to support his family fundraiser.
He has set his new short term goal to €10,000, of which he has €8,160. That's €1,840 left to go until they have the standard amount to evacuate 2 adults, and 1/3rd of their total goal! We're getting there through everyone's compassion and effort, but we aren't there yet!
Please continue supporting Ahmed's family. They need hope among displacement, to be able to sleep sounder knowing that when the crossing opens they'll have the means to escape to safety and recover in peace. They're counting on us, as we are the only people who are able to help them in this way. Any amount counts, be it €5, €10, €15, €20, or more, and helps save 5 lives. If you're wondering how to contribute if you have no other options, this is it!
Omar Tabasi, a bright young student from Gaza, dreamt of pursuing his bachelor's degree abroad. The biggest challenge, however, lay in crossing the Rafah border. Omar learned that he needed $5000 to secure passage. If you can donate, please do and/or share!
To all those who died alone in the Russian occupation
🕯 "To all those who died alone in the Russian occupation". Muzychi village, Kyiv region
These are the words on the tombstone that stands on the grave of the mother of Ukrainian artist Alevtina Kakhidze. The artist installed it in 2021.
This memorial project consists of six marble doors that replicate the location of the doors in the house of Alevtina's mother, known as Klyubnyka Andriivna, in the village of Zhdanivka, Donetsk region, as well as concrete porch steps recreated in real life.
When the war in eastern Ukraine broke out, the artist's mother was unable to leave her home despite her daughter's persuasion. Alevtina dedicated a series of works to her mother, which were shown at exhibitions in Ukraine and abroad.
Kakhidze's mother died in 2019 - her heart stopped while crossing one of the checkpoints controlled by the militants of the so-called "Donetsk People's Republic". She was buried in the Kyiv region.
This is not the kind of message that children should receive from their parents
"If we are killed, all the documents are in the basement."
This is what I mean when I say that we cannot negotiate and freeze the conflict. Because children from the occupied territories, who are now 14-17 years old, will be fighting against us in five years.
Don't be indifferent. Make Russia pay. Please hear our cry out to the world, keep spreading our voices, and donate to our army and combat medics (savelife.in.ua, prytulafoundation.org, Serhii Sternenko, hospitallers.life, ptahy.vidchui.org, and u24.gov.ua).
help a struggling disabled + queer person survive until they find employment
hi everyone , my name is shroom , and you've probably seen some of my posts floating around on here in the last few months . i lost my job in april because my manager took away my accommodations for my disability and that made me unable to work my shifts . i’ve been to several job interviews since then with no luck , and i’m struggling hardcore right now to afford the bare minimum . there have been days where i have to skip eating entirely and ration my insulin so i don't run out . i’m currently relying on commissions and the generosity of others to survive . i know i ask for a lot but things aren’t getting any better and i really need help until they do . please boost this post , consider commissioning me , or send a few dollars my way . thank you for reading , and please spread this around
Disabled artist in need of help with affording food and household necessities
Hey everyone, I’ve unfortunately been dealing still with the after effects of long COVID as well as trauma, severe OCD and unmedicated ADHD affecting my mental state enough to where I’ve been struggling to consistently work or make art due to the massive burnout and general focusing issues I’ve been experiencing due to these conditions
I’ve reached a point where I physically can not keep up with the pace required for me to sustain myself anymore and am currently forced to resort to outside help until I can get back on my feet. I’m looking into applying for food stamps to see if that can help tide me over until things improve for me and I can maintain a more consistent income, but until then I’m not sure what else to do. I don’t want to rely on asking my family for help. I basically keep having panic attacks every time I try to make myself function and work.
I really don’t like depending on anyone and I’m frankly embarrassed to come here asking for it when I’ve barely posted art lately to make it worth everyone’s while, but I’m completely at a loss for how else to help myself. I don’t have any belongings or anything I can sell or any other skills I can monetize, and I can’t really get a different job right now due to being homebound and having limited employment opportunities with my disabilities.
I don’t know. Until I figure something else out this is all I’ve got, I hope soon I won’t have to depend on anybody like this. I’m gonna keep trying to work on art and commissions as much as I’m able to, as I’ve been.
Hey everyone! Next week Sinful Sunday returns again ♡
Below, you'll find a poll with shortened versions of all the requests I've received for the event. Please help me decide which 2 prompts to write for the upcoming Sinful Sunday by voting for your favorites ♡
I still can't process the fact that russians kidnapping Ukrainian children, adopting them in russia, changing their names and other personal information from Ukrainian to russian, "re-educating" them and raising them as russians is our reality.
UPDATE FROM AHMED: DONATE TO HELP A PALESTINIAN FAMILY ESCAPE GENOCIDE
Ahmed has informed me that the fee to register he, his wife, and his 3 children for evacuation from Gaza is €17,500. We have raised €8,266 so far, enough to register all 3 children, and now we need to help evacuate their parents, as well.
They have set a short term goal of €10,000, of which they need €1,734 to complete. We managed to raise €5,000+ for this lovely family in the span of 6 days, let’s not lose momentum now! Remember that a contribution of any amount helps us get closer to ensuring the safety and survival of 5 lives.
He has also given me new pictures of his little daughter and son to share. His children play among rubble in a destroyed city where there is no water or electricity.
Please help secure the survival of this family by donating to the GoFundMe linked below, and share so that others who can donate may see.
I’ve been sick this week and had to take a couple days off of work, so I’m running another sale to help out!! 25% off till next Saturday!! If you missed out on the 30% off this is your chance to still get a good deal!
Caring about animals is an emotional outlet for Ukrainians
Ukrainian military provides shelter to any animal. A soldier of the 92nd Separate Mechanized Brigade rescued two baby boars in the forests of Kharkiv region. Their mother and three other cubs were killed by shelling. The rescued animals were named Tisha and Tosha. The boars turned out to be very affectionate. They even learned to obey commands.
- Tosha - in the trench!
- They are digging a trench, looking for miners.
A fighter with the call sign "Sladkiy" took in a Red Book peregrine fox. The animal received the call sign "Soledar". The soldier jokes that his pet also wears a pixel. The kid turned out to be very active and playful. In times of danger, Soledar hides in his rescuer's pouch. The rest of the time he explores the trenches.
A soldier with the call sign "Bob-Ukrop" brought a raccoon to his unit. The soldiers named their new comrade Slavko. Slavik loves tasty treats. He jokingly calls the four-legged friend a raccoon assault dog. The mischievous fellow keeps things in order in the dugouts. In his free time, Slavik washes his favorite toy.
Ukrainian military often feeds wild animals. They even rescue them from traps. Four-legged animals easily make contact with the military. After all, animals always feel good hands.

Some hopeful and kind video meanwhile I'm sitting without electricity. Sweet and safe night everyone, except Russia and Russian supporters (China, Iran, and North Korea).
