Sky makes a some dubious food cake for the fall!

Day 6! So long story short, I was super sick while making this and you can probably tell which characters I worked on when it started by the quality (not that my baseline art is good lol). I can't stand, see straight, eat, and my nose hasn't stopped bleeding for the past 3 hours, so a bunch of fun!!

My family and I love making ugly cakes for parties sometimes, and a lot of parties happen in the fall for us! Also nice cake hack, 1 can of soda can replace eggs, oil, and water in a Betty Crocker cake mix! I love making lemon cake with sprite, it works so well!

Roasted Acorn Squash Seeds Recipe

Perfect match for my stuffed acorn squash recipe

Ingredients:

Acorn squash seeds

Olive Oil

Salt

Pepper

Garlic Powder

Paprika

Servings: 2 acorn squash makes about 1 serving

Steps:

Preheat oven to 325°F (160°C).

Slice acorn squash in half.

3. Scoop out guts and seeds of acorn squash.

4. Separate guts from seeds and wash seeds.

5. Dry seeds and spread on baking tray lined with foil.

6. Sprinkle seeds with olive oil and seasonings to taste.

7. Roast in oven for 15 - 20 minutes. Stir about halfway through to roast evenly.

8. Remove from pan and let cool before serving.

These make a great snack. You can mix up the seasonings to highlight different flavors. Add some cayenne pepper for some spice, or some cumin and chili powder for more of a taco flavoring. Add some cinnamon sugar for a sweeter snack.

something that i've loved making this fall is pumpkin crescent rolls! they're so good topped with some easy cream cheese frosting and I don't even have to think about what I'm doing while making it which is always fun. i like to get a little fancy and do some egg wash and sprinkle some sugar on them too but here are the ingredients (I just go ahead and eyeball how much according to taste.)

-pillsbury crescent rolls

-pumpkin puree

-cinnamon+nutmeg+pumpkin pie seasoning

-egg (for egg wash)

add all seasonings to the pumpkin purée and spread some on the wider end of the crescent roll, roll up and make egg wash (you can add milk to make the egg wash thinner if wanted, I like using creamer sometimes) and brush onto the croissants with one of those silicone brush things, sprinkle some sugar on them if you want and follow baking directions on the container.

I also like making a cream chee frosting for them like a little drizzle and I just do it with powdered sugar, half and half, and a glob of cream chee. Stir or whisk for a couple minutes till combined and add more liquid or powdered sugar as needed.
