I have no idea what Dulcinea is teaching or even doing here. Neither does Gideon. And no one cares. Except for Harrow. She cares a lot.

Fun fact: It was probably completely unnecessary that Wake's suit led all her oxygen to the bio container Gideon was in. Since Gideon even survived the gas of the Ninth House genocide, she probably would have survived anyway. (And Wake could have survived too)

twigged that in HtN when Jod is telling Harrow about Lyctors flipping planets, and he says "get the juices flowing" and makes a gesture "that made [Harrow's] head hurt" - it wasn't just God Being Crass To A Repressed Nun, it was bc Gideon would have said and probably motioned they exact same

And then one of the first things we see Gideon doing when driving Harrow's body is make jerk off motions... The lewd gestures, like the bad puns, are apparently genetic!

Though its rather funnier when it's a teenage jock making rude jokes to knock down Ianthe's posturing, and not a man who's been in his 30s for 10,000 years making obscene gestures at the teenager who he's also been repeatedly unwantedly touching, quoting poetry that he clearly very much knows the unsavoury resonances of at, and who later describes his own drawing on planetary power in incredibly uncomfortable terms...

Gideon, if you think it's your duty to fight Harrow and it's necessary to stop her , why don't you just deliver the final blow?

If you wanted her to stop, you'd ask Cam's help or something. If you wanted to really hurt her, you'd go all out. Instead, you two seem to be having the weirdest kind of sex, where she is poking at you with sharp edges, begging you to kill her and end it all, and you're begging her to stay and touch you, no matter how.
