first of all if the tags didn't say so I'm so mentaly well about the mother's day comic

and second of all, on the topic of Scoots calling Rainbow mom, I half-finished a fic one time with that concept. Adorably domestic scene of Rainbow making breakfast for Scoots before school and Scoots calling her mom when leaving, cue Rainbow bluescreening and Scoots closing the door and running so fast she forgets her backpack

As for that idea: I adooooore it :'''') I think it fits them really well with Scoots also being embarrassed if it happens right in front of Rainbow's face. I can also see Rainbow be kinda embarrassed at first as well, but mumbling 'Mum' in between chores/whatever she's doing that day and slowly getting used to it and maybe even starting to like it. Or at least it starts to feel less weird.

It's Friday and I'm back! Time to read the lovely tags and messages (I glanced over a few already) <3

Some time off tumblr was really good. It feels like I recalibrated my brain again. I know lots of websites are designed to be addictive and that tumblr isn't the worst of the bunch, but I still felt like I'd clung to it too much.

There are still a few urges here and there that bother me and that I'd like to get rid off. I feel I've got them under control for now (instead indulging in them) though, and hopefully they'll be gone for good soon.

This month's discord server prompt was "Motherhood"

RD and Scoots aren't your traditional mother/daughter pair and probably not the first thing you think of when you hear 'Motherhood'. But I love to think that their relationship frequently shifts between sibling-like to motherly - and leaning more towards the latter the more time passes. Scoots does start to see Rainbow as a parental figure, especially once the topic of adoption comes up and becomes more serious.

I basically always headcanon that RD eventually adopts her and this is supposed to be a Mother's Day either shortly before or after the process. While Scootaloo wants to gift RD, she's pretty unsure about how to go at it. Ultimately she writes her a heartfelt letter, explaining what Rainbow means to her and why she wants to gift her something for that day.

Obviously Rainbow, who neither sees herself as "responsible" nor a "mom", didn't expect anything But she's absolutely thrilled and touched by getting something from Scoots. And the more such small instances happen, the more she shifts into a maternal role. Until one day she realizes (to her horror) that she did in fact become the "uncool and very protective mom".

The first time Scootaloo calls her 'Mom' is something I've been pondering on as well, but ultimately couldn't decide on yet...

You gave me Kiriona, Ianthe & stupid, and this is the first thing that came to mind. I couldn't remember what Ianthe usually wore and didn't feel like including Babs' body (so apologies, I know it's not accurate), but this is a hilarious idea of both of them waiting for the broadcast and Ianthe trying to pass the time and have some fun. Also the thought of Jod providing them with popcorn and random drinks in the midst of setting up a political recording for the enemy is just.. hilarious.
