I crave so much more than just a physical connection. I crave words and depth. I crave who you are and where you came from, your deepest desires and fears. I yearn to know every inch of you beyond the surface.

We can all root for poly in Deep Night, which I'm definitely on board with (they're practically the only reason besides the neon lights and Freya and Meji that I'm still watching this).

But.

Bringing up poly in a conversation with your new boyfriend (if it's Pan), your boyfriend and childhood friend (if it's Seji), and your childhood friend (if it's Ken) requires a lot of courage and trust that the other party/parties won't take it the wrong way.

If the series wants to go for the throuple, rather than having it stay in Pan's daydream, I need a real conversation between all three. And I want it to be nerve-wracking at first (because that's how it would be unless you were really, really comfortable with the others) before they come to an agreement.

And I want them to come to an agreement. An agreement to be together. Because I. NEED. POLY.

✨Inspiration Saturday ✨

The Buddie road trip AU was partly inspired by a few cross US road trips I’ve been on (I've spent way too much time driving across the US or up and down it and seen a lot of goofy and delightful stuff). These are some of my photos from those trips. I love a roadside attraction so much and I think it's a fun way to road trip.

“Let’s skip the tour and just walk around outside for a bit,” Buck decided for them as they walked toward the building and Eddie was grateful. “This is pretty cool,” Eddie said, nodding toward the arch. It was relatively new, built in the late 90s according to the free pamphlet he’d grabbed.  “Hey Eddie?” “Yeah?” Eddie stopped and leaned against the building to face Buck.  “Why don’t you let yourself want things?” “I thought I was getting better at it,” Eddie said and it was true. He was getting better at it, but only about little things. He let himself drive the extra five minutes for his favorite cup of coffee in L.A. He let himself look at Buck more than he used to now that he was single again. “But I think I just haven’t in so long that it’s hard to rebuild that muscle.” “What do you want, Eddie?” Buck asked him, his voice more intense than Eddie expected.  “I want Chris to be happy,” He said, because that was the easiest answer in the world. That’s all he’d wanted since the moment he found out Shannon was pregnant.  “Eddie, I’ve known you for over a decade and almost every choice you’ve made has been for Christopher. What do you want?” Buck’s face was half in the shadow of the massive roadside archway, his eyes squinted against the bright sun that made the other side of his face look like he was glowing.  “You. I want you. I think I’ve wanted you for a really long time,” Eddie said in a rush, like if he didn’t get the words out now he never would.

I have always admired people who could write one fic or draw a comic for years because I am living in a constant fear of not finishing what I have started. Not in a 'maybe something terrible will happen to me' way, but simply knowing myself and that after a couple of months or years, I will catch a new fixation and finishing the old story will become hard. And yeah sure, I have heard people say "You don't have to finish if it doesn't interest you anymore" or "It's your art and you decide what it will be about" and I fully agree, but I still love those old things I came up with you know? I still love these characters and I want their stories to be told, but at the same time there already are new characters with new stories in my head and I want to tell them too.

and wow. i loved that book so much.

(i have several lines from the book that i'll post about and talk about later lmao)

i knew lucy would end up joining l&co again, but when i tell you i nearly screamed when i read the line!!! so good.

once again, the locklyle crumbs omg <3<3<3

ugh i loved reading them. especially when they had that deep conversation in the iron chain circle and lucy rejoined l&co!!! and them holding hands ??? and blushing at each other ??? and their shared smiles ??? oh my god.

also i really liked how holly and lucy got on better terms by the end of the book, though holly kind of pissed me off at the beginning, i kind of liked her towards the end.

and george!!! omg. i loved how he and lucy interacted for most of the book — especially when they had that argument at the end of the first case together (at the beginning of the book); because they honestly both needed to have that argument. like it was needed.

kipps was also absolutely hilarious in this book, i've grown to like him a lot lmao

overall i really loved this book!! i've been trying to take it slow so i can savour the books, and i'm on the last one now 😭😭

anyway yeah i really loved tcs, it was so good.

She falls in love with the sunsets, the moonlight, the rainstorms and everything that understands her heart and speaks the language of her soul.

I don't begrudge anyone their campaign preferences, and I think there's plenty of valid reasons to like Campaign 3 the best and this is not directed at people who are genuinely having a great time with it, but it feels like virtually all the nostalgia and wishful thinking I see surrounding Campaign 3 is screaming "you guys want Campaign 2." You want more slow travel and downtime and interparty conversations and slow-burn romance? You wish their main focus was fighting governmental corruption? You want a party that only semi-settles down at the end and keeps adventuring and remains very close? You're frustrated by how everpresent and overarching the moon plot is? You miss when they were just fucking around in a city? I genuinely believe you want Campaign 2, or at best you love a specific ship or a character from Campaign 3 but aren't happy about basically anything else, and would vastly prefer the tone and events and plot of Campaign 2. And I don't really care if you watch Campaign 2, or if you think I'm being annoying here; I simply genuinely believe you'd be happier watching Campaign 2 than Campaign 3 and are so deep in a sunk cost fallacy well you can't see it.
