A tribute to the film adaptation of the long lived video game series.
Mortal Kombat holds a lot of value to me because I watched so much as a kid. I was too young to play the video games when this came out, but that didn't stop me from sneaking a few plays at my cousin's house (Sega for the win). I always played a Sheeva or Kitana...and I always lost until I got older and finally learned the fighting mechanics. I definitely owe this film for introducing me to the games.
There are so many tributes to this movie that utilize the same formula of just putting clips to music. I wanted to do something more. My editing style has always leaned more towards a cinematic feel. This is my spin on a trailer of sorts.
Noah Stilinski: "Do you boys have anything that you want to confess?"
Isaac: "Okay, I confess! I had a threesome with Peter and Chris in your office twice. And Stiles let Derek fuck him in your bed."
Stiles: "DUDE!"
Noah Stilinski: "I was gonna ask who ate all the BBQ chips, but go on, Isaac."
Idea: Y/N and Stiles watching a movie at his place and Sheriff mistaking Y/N for his boyfriend. Maybe him saying 'It's late, isn't it about time your boyfriend went home?' or something.
"It's late, isn't it about time your boyfriend went home, son?" Y/N and Stiles looked up from their Star Wars movie marathon to see Sheriff Stilinski standing in the doorway. His arms across his chest as he raised his eyebrows at the two boys with a pointed look.
Stiles paused the movie and looked at his head. "My boyfriend? First of all, how dare you interrupt our cinematic experience. And second of all we're not—"
"I don't want to know the details, Stiles. As long as you're being safe, that's all I care about."
Stiles opened his mouth to protest, but Y/N got up when he realized it was almost midnight. "He's right, Stiles. I should go." He looks at the sheriff. "You have a lovely home, sheriff. See ya later, baby." He kissed Stiles on the lips, a quick peck as he left the other boy blushing and shocked.
Noah Stilinski looks at his son with a pointed look. "So, what? You've got a boyfriend now?"
