In 2022, this was my first attempt at making what is now "Love Potions Won't Work." I previously planned on going for a loose, comic-strip inspired approach that was going to be goofy, rom-com shenanigans. This attempt was partially inspired by how my friend @thisbelongsto-nohbodys makes comics or comic strips. He's got a strong mastery of comic strip shenanigans imo.

I decided I wanted something completely different that a comic strip approach just would not fit. I might return to this format for side stories or one-offs, though. Just for comparison, I'm including the two pages of my current comic that directly relate or contrast to these previous ones story wise.

A comic about Hadley and her emotional turmoil over Erol's death and the complicated saftey of Haven City. She didn't love Erol. Not openly, anyway. He didn't deserve this death, even if it was of his own accord.

Hadley's backstory and biography is here if you're curious about her. She has a happier life in Kras City after this comic.

I have to thank Poss for the very long list of incorrect quote he made, cus the thing is saving me so much time for this challenge!

JJ and Demro are friends, kinda raised as siblings... it's kinda complicated. The point is that they care about each other but they're two depressed children trying to cheer each other up

About the sketch: Honestly I thought it would take way longer than it actually took! I'm really happy with how it turned out! JJ's hair is for sure my favorite part but I also liked how I drew Demro's wings. I know, they're very specific stuff, but look at them brings me joy hahaha
