you can’t just post bean photos and not drop the recipe.
GET BEANED!!!

Now well underway: some extra-easy red beans and rice! Using some handy mostly self-frozen veggies.
Obviously I'm not following their method exactly, due to the person I am. And partly because I didn't want to cook that very Swedish chorizo for the full time the beans need. But, it's not that much more complicated to fry up the sausage and trinity/garlic in another pan to add in once the beans are most of the way cooked like I normally would making it on the stove.
(Trying 30 minutes with the beans and a veggie broth cube, then another 20 minutes under pressure with the sausage/veggies and bay leaf thrown in. Then the rest of the seasonings can go in, while it simmers for a few minutes with the lid off.)
But, this works just fine going by Camellia's directions. I am just persnickety, and seemingly constitutionally incapable of following recipe instructions. 😅
ETA: I do kind of miss being able to get the Camellia beans, btw. Including the small red ones. I online-know at least one guy in Baton Rouge who stopped even sorting through theirs because the quality control is that good. But, at least I finally did pick up some dry kidney beans which also seem like pretty good quality.

Today I went to the store and bought watermelon. Then I Ubered some Popeyes chicken to the house and downed some fucking pineapple juice. The period cramp gods have been satiated. Now to finish watching Black Panther.
