Yoo Yeon-seok said goodbye on Keum Sae-rok's birthday 'shock'
Tumblr media
Yoo Yeon-seok said goodbye to Park Mi-kyung with confidence in his heart for Moon Ga-young.
In the 11th episode of JTBC's Wednesday-Thursday drama 'Understanding Love', which aired on the 25th, Ha Sang-soo (Yoo Yeon-seok) confessed to Ahn Soo-yeong (Moon Ga-young) and said goodbye to Park Mi-kyung (Keum Sae-rok).
Ahn Soo-young left the ice hockey rink, followed by Ha Sang-soo and caught him. And Ha Sang-soo said to Ahn Soo-young, "I like it. I know I'm a bad guy if I say this, but I'll just do it. Bad guy." Then he confessed her feelings, "I know. It's late. I made this. So I thought a lot, but I can't think anymore. I like Ahn Soo-young."
Ahn Soo-young suggested to Ha Sang-su, "Shall we have a drink?" The two went for a drink and played a 'lying game' at Ahn Soo-young's suggestion. Starting with Ahn Soo-young's absurd lies, the atmosphere between the two softened. Ahn Soo-young said, "I also like Ha Gye-blind. I liked it from the first time I saw it." Park Mi-kyung, who went to Ha Sang-su's house, where he did not answer, kept calling Ha Sang-su, but Ha Sang-su turned off his cell phone. And Ha Sang-soo held the hand of Ahn Soo-young, who was sitting next to him.
Ahn Soo-young was the first to volunteer at the place where the branch office was accepting applicants to go to work for three months, followed by Ha Sang-su, who was about to raise his hand after thinking about it.
Ahn Soo-young went to the place where Jeong Jong-hyeon (Jung Ga-ram) was studying after work. He saw Jeong Jong-hyun from afar and was about to say hello when he saw Jeong Jong-hyun exchanging messages with someone and smiling. Ahn Soo-young, who found this strange, immediately found out why. A woman named Cha Seon-jae, who was studying with Jeong Jong-hyun, came out after him and handed over the tumbler that Jeong Jong-hyun had left behind. Ahn Soo-yeong recalled the time when a junior named Cha Seon-jae called Jeong Jong-hyun, and she did not answer the phone, claiming that Jeong Jong-hyun was her male junior, and she grasped the situation.
Yang Seok-hyun (played by Oh Dong-min) was caught cheating on his wife. He posted the photos he took in the shadowing community, putting the bank people in a position to find out soon. In response, So Kyeong-pil (Moon Tae-yu) said, "I shouldn't have caught it. I should have done it carefully." Ha Sang-soo also scolded Yang Seok-hyeon, but deep inside he was troubled.
Meanwhile, Ha Sang-su used his lunch break to go see Ahn Soo-young, who was on a business trip, and So Kyeong-pil saw this. So Kyung-pil and Ahn Soo-young, who went to the branch office, had a drink with the branch office staff. Starting with the story of Yang Seok-hyeon's affair, when she jokingly brought out her words that seemed suspicious of Ahn Soo-young, Ahn Soo-young was furious. In response, the branch office employee said, "Why are you like a cheating person? I wouldn't do that if I was proud." Ahn Soo-young's expression suddenly began to darken.

I Rate Kdramas by Quality of Whump: Part Two
A while back I rated a lot of kdramas by how good their whump was.
And now, I am back to do it some more with the kdramas I've been watching since then.
Some notes:
There will be a few spoilers below, though not terribly detailed.
Yes this rating scale is completely objective and accurate. What are you talking about?
If it seems like most of the ratings are high, that's bc whump is half the time why I'm watching a drama anyway! Whump, intrigue and shippiness are the things I look for in kdramas for the most part.
The Dramas:
Beyond Evil--This is a thriller where most of the whump is emotional. In particular, Lee Dong-sik and Park Jeong-je are really put through the ringer throughout the drama. Han Ju-won, played by a favorite actor of mine, Yeo Jin-goo, also gets his share of angst--has parental drama and guilt on his shoulders, and at one point he gets framed for a crime (sort of on purpose). The emotional whump is good stuff but I generally expect more physical whump from a crime thriller, and the level of that here is very low. 5/10, there are some very good scenes but I feel there was such potential for more.
Color Rush--There are three BL miniseries on this list and I was surprised by the whump level of two of them. This one in particular. I get that seeing colors out of the blue (haha!) is surprising when you've been colorblind your whole life, but is it necessary for Yeon Woo to faint quite so often? Yes, actually. Bc it is whumpy and good. The show also contains a lot of angst, anxiety and even a suicide attempt. Yeon Woo's love interest, Yoo Han, is also clearly obsessed with him and kind of aggressive/possessive about it (and also causes him to faint a couple times pretty much on purpose). But this is a romance drama, so this is more or less shown as romantic. Honestly 7/10, this drama didn't have to go this hard but I'm glad it did.
The Devil Judge--Whump level is deliberate, this show made a Choice. Both main characters are put through the ringer: explosions, false accusations (and true accusations!), kidnapping incidents, threats, people they love dying, strangling and punching (well, one lead strangles and punches the other... this is quality stuff), and so on and so forth. I find myself also thinking about Jeong Seon-ah's angst, the way she is judged for her lower-class background, her crisis of conscience, but I suppose that's not technically whump (except in the way of all tragic backstories, which, btw, our two male leads also have). Anyway. 10/10, this show set out to be whumpy and it succeeded.
Lovers of the Red Sky--I feel like historical dramas in general, even light-hearted ones, have a strong belief in whump, and Lovers of the Red Sky is no exception. Ha Ram's bouts of possession are always somewhat whumpy--sometimes he faints at the start of them, other times he's struggling for control, other times there's just the confused aftermath, but there's always something. Ha Ram also gets imprisoned for a certain amount of the show, and his backstory is of course tragic, involving human sacrifice and murder and all that good stuff. Other ppl in the show are not whumped as much, but I think Ha Ram's level of whump makes up for it. 7/10, this is not a very dark and whumpy show but it makes good use of whump for flavoring.
Mine--I mentioned in my last post that I'm so-so on lady whump, which is mostly what you get here. Jae-kyeong gets actually strangled (okay, I was kind of into it), Hi-soo suffers a miscarriage (just upsetting to me, but the recovery h/c was pretty good actually), and Seo-hyun gets blackmailed (...I was kind of into that too). Very little guy whump going around but Ji-yong sure is going through it (by it I mean a mental breakdown as everyone in his life turns against him). I guess I'll give it a 5/10; whump was not what kept me invested in this show but there is a decent level depending on what you like.
Mad Dog--Truly I appreciate that although this show already had a protagonist whose family was fridged killed in a plane crash and who was very broody about it, they realized that the true whump target of the show should be Kim Min-joon by virtue of his being acted by Woo Do-hwan (and also his being a slick conman loner type, very good for whumping). The dude gets strangled multiple times and also almost burns to death in a car, and has lots of angst and more than once makes it clear he doesn't care if he lives or dies. Other characters also get whumped in moderation. I give it an 8/10, once again a pretty light show makes good use of whump for flavoring.
Mr. Sunshine--This show had three goals: 1) history, 2) flirting, and 3) whump. Personally I think Eugene should have been whumped more bc he was my fave. But he did get shot and threatened and arrested and all that jazz, so I'm not particularly bitter about it. Gu Dong-mae is the show's whumpee of choice, though. Stabbed, shot, tortured, and a tragic backstory to boot (well, who doesn't have a tragic backstory in this show lols), and defiant through it all, it's no real surprise he's also as far as I can tell the fan favorite character. Really respectable levels of whump. 9/10.
The Veil--Whump is the main thing this show has going for it. Our amnesiac lead gets framed for crimes, kidnapped, sent to prison, tortured, and generally beat up throughout the show. This is on top of trauma flashbacks, paranoia, and occasional bouts of doubting his sanity. It's pretty good stuff. 8/10 bc the plot doesn't tend to linger on the whump bc it is also very much about competent spies being competent.
Where Your Eyes Linger--The second BL miniseries that impressed me, albeit not as much as Color Rush in this aspect. Imo a bodyguard romance should have a LOT of whump but this show focuses more on forbidden love, employee/employer relationship vs. friendship, class differences, and homophobia. Those last two episodes, though. Kidnapping, beat-downs, the implication that Gook has served as Tae-joo's whipping boy in the past... all very good. 5/10, good effort but could have been more.
You Make Me Dance--The third BL miniseries I watched this year. This is a broke dancer/loan shark romance and considering that, the level of whump is pathetic. Just a little intimidation and emotional angst, and not even that much of that. 1/10, a Disappointment to me personally.

Hospital Playlist. 슬기로운 의사생활. Season 2. 7.8/10
I would recommend this season to my friends. I would rewatch this season.
Friends have told me this season isn't as good as the first. I can get it, but I think both seasons are great.
Jae Hak is such a positive energy. I don't know any guy like that. His bothering Jun Wan is so amusing. I love that Jun Wan cares for him back. Gyeo Ul and Jeong Won are goals. Watching them is all I need. Episode 4 tteokbokki scene is a fav. I'm enjoying Seon Bin and Song Hwa's relationship. Girls who support girls. I still love Jong Su and Rosa's relationship. I enjoy Gyeo Ul and Min Ah's friendship. Song Hwa singing in English is the best thing. Min Ha talking/confessing to Seok Hyeong is the best thing as well. Min Ha being so happy is lovely. It's such positive energy. Her dating reactions are me. I love Rosa being so happy that Gyeo Ul visited her. I love how Song Hwa and Jun Wan love food so much. I love how Song Hwa becomes so happy with Ik Jun. I love that Gyeo Ul's brother is Ga Eul. Seok Kyeong reacting to Song Hwa and Ik Jun dating was just wonderful. I love love love all the first kisses. I feel so giddy. I love how there's something to like about the entire main cast. You could date any one of them. I love how Song Hwa loves camping and nature.
Seon Bin is pretty.
The Men in Black reference was funny. The humor in this show, phenomenal. Ik Jun really is the funniest to me. Lol me recognizing Eun Mi as that BTS stan in CLOY.
Min Ah taking herself on a date on Christmas. Respect.
The two mothers with children subplot got me. Eunji's mom is so supportive, and it was so sad to see her break down when she was always her pushing strength.
The goodwill and selflessness in this show make me cry.

[TASK 069: KOREA]
Shout out to anon for inspiring this task! There’s a masterlist below compiled of over 1,040+ Korean faceclaims categorised by gender with their occupation and ethnicity denoted if there was a reliable source. If you want an extra challenge use random.org to pick a random number! Of course everything listed below are just suggestions and you can pick whichever character or whichever project you desire.
Any questions can be sent here and all tutorials have been linked below the cut for ease of access! REMEMBER to tag your resources with #TASKSWEEKLY and we will reblog them onto the main! This task can be tagged with whatever you want but if you want us to see it please be sure that our tag is the first five tags, @ mention us or send us a messaging linking us to your post!
THE TASK - scroll down for FC’s!
STEP 1: Decide on a FC you wish to create resources for! You can always do more than one but who are you starting with? There are links to masterlists you can use in order to find them and if you want help, just send us a message and we can pick one for you at random!
STEP 2: Pick what you want to create! You can obviously do more than one thing, but what do you want to start off with? Screencaps, RP icons, GIF packs, masterlists, PNG’s, fancasts, alternative FC’s - LITERALLY anything you desire!
STEP 3: Look back on tasks that we have created previously for tutorials on the thing you are creating unless you have whatever it is you are doing mastered - then of course feel free to just get on and do it. :)
STEP 4: Upload and tag with #TASKSWEEKLY! If you didn’t use your own screencaps/images make sure to credit where you got them from as we will not reblog packs which do not credit caps or original gifs from the original maker.

Origine du film : Corée du Sud Réalisateur : Park Jung-woo Scénaristes : Park Jung-woo, Jo Dong-in, Kim Kyeong-hoon Acteurs : Kim Myung-min, Kim Dong-wan, Moon Jung-hee, Lee Ha-nui, Kang Shin-il, Choi Jung-woo, Lee Hyung-chul Musique : Jo Yeong-wook Genre : Drame, Thriller Durée : 1 heure et 49 minutes Date de sortie : 5 juillet 2012 (Corée) Année de production : 2012 Sociétés de production : Oz One Film Distribué par : CJ Entertainment Titre original : Yeongasi / 연가시 Notre note : ★★★★☆
Depuis, on pu voir “The Flu / Pandémie” (2013) de Kim Seong-su.

What was so bad about Seo Dong Yo? I hear its bad but I don't know the reasons.
Story wise it's not really bad- the problem is mainly costuming, acting, battle scenes and CGI. Most of the costumes are so similar that you often have trouble distinguishing between Silla and Baekje, which doesn't help when you're watching a battle (of which there are a good few). Battles are actually pretty empty - it almost looks like 25 people a side unless they badly edit more people into the show, and the CGI is so bad that arrows stick in the wrong places.Acting wise, the main characters more or less do okay, but the secondary actors almost forget to react half the time, the cast puts little to no feeling in their script after a while, and people grab entirely wrong places when they suffer wounds (arrow in head, clutches and bleeds from side - ???). Disappointing considering the casting consists of Lee Byeong Hun's usuals, Gu Hye Seon, Jeong Seon Kyeong, Jo Hyeon Jae, Lee Bo Young, Lee Chang Hun and other people who have acted way better before and after this show....And to top it all off, my experience with the subtitles wasn't good either - it started out okay for the first 15 episodes and then grossly deteriorated into gibberish. Like, the Legend of Zhen Huan's DVD gibberish. As if that wasn't bad enough, the timing goes crazy by episode 30, with subtitles to the next episode starting before the previous are even finished - turned me off completely.

SEOUL, March 21 (Yonhap) — Skeleton slider Yun Sung-bin and speed skater Lee Seung-hoon were named the co-winners of the grand prize at the nation’s amateur athlete awards Wednesday for their performances at the 2018 PyeongChang Winter Olympics.
At the 23rd Coca-Cola Sports Awards in Seoul, Yun and Lee were honored with the top award. The annual award has been given to amateur athletes since 1995. Previous winners include marathoner Hwang Young-cho, figure skater Kim Yu-na, swimmer Park Tae-hwan and shooter Jin Jong-oh.

Yun became the first Asian to win a gold medal in sliding sports at a Winter Olympic Games after he topped the men’s skeleton at PyeongChang 2018.
“I won the top rookie award in the past, and now with this award, it just feels good that I’ve got these two great awards,” he said. “I hope many people can recognize skeleton through me.”
Lee won gold in the men’s mass start and silver in the team pursuit competition at the PyeongChang Olympics. He is now Asia’s all-time leader in speed skating medals with five — two gold and three silver.
“I never imagined that I would win this award again eight years later,” he said. “I’ll also try to win gold at the Beijing Winter Olympics in 2022.”

Short tracker Choi Min-jeong, who earned two gold medals at PyeongChang 2018, and alpine snowboarder Lee Sang-ho, who became the first South Korean to win an Olympic medal in snow sports after claiming silver in parallel giant slalom at the PyeongChang Olympics, also received honors in the individual athlete category. Para Nordic skier Sin Eui-hyun, who delivered South Korea’s first Winter Paralympic Games gold medal at the PyeongChang Paralympic Games, was named the top disabled athlete.
“If I can do it, you can do it,” Sin said. “I’ll keep working hard and will inspire many people.”
The South Korean four-man bobsleigh team — Won Yun-jong, Seo Young-woo, Jun Jung-lin and Kim Dog-hyun —and women’s curling team — Kim Eun-jung, Kim Yeong-mi, Kim Seon-yeong and Kim Kyeong-ae — shared the best team award. The two teams bagged silver at PyeongChang 2018.
Short tracker Lim Hyo-jun, who claimed gold in the men’s 1,500m at PyeongChang 2018, and swimmer An Se-hyeon, who set national record in the women’s 200m butterfly at the 2017 FINA World Aquatics Championships, took the rookie of the year awards.
The top coaching award went to Lee Yong, who leads the skeleton and bobsleigh national team.
The women’s national ice hockey team and its head coach Sarah Murray took the achievement award. South Korea and North Korea formed an historic joint women’s ice hockey team at PyeongChang 2018, with Murray in charge. Although it didn’t post a single victory, the unified Korean team made its way into the history books as a symbol of harmony and peace through sports.
Speed skater Lee Sang-hwa received the special award for her performance in the women’s 500m at PyeongChang 2018. Following her two straight gold medals in the women’s 500m at previous two Olympics, she claimed silver in her homeland but showed great sportsmanship with gold medalist Nao Kodaira of Japan by encouraging and congratulating each other on the ice.
The women’s short track team of Choi Min-jeong, Shim Suk-hee, Kim A-lang and Kim Ye-jin that won gold in the 3,000m relay at PyeongChang 2018 took the clean sports award
