So both of my current hyperfixations are Disney related. (Twisted Wonderland and Lorcana). And because of this I can’t help but think of the Lorcana cards in relation to Twist.

If you don’t know what Lorcana is, a brief explanation is that it’s a TCG (Like Magic the Gathering, Pokemon Card game, Yugioh etc) but Disney themed. And it has three types of character cards, Storyborn, Dreamborn and Floodborn.

Storyborn is basically the characters as they appear in their canon story. Dreamborn is basically what they dream of becoming. Easy enough (There are cards for instance where Maleficent wins)

Floodborn, is where the characters have been altered by the ink. Their story changes completely. That's how you end up with things like “Gaston: Intellectual Powerhouse” where he’s a mechanical genius. (one of my personal favorites because of how funny it is.)

There is also Lady Tremaine who became queen:

My absolute favorite Floodborn story is Cinderella’s. In her Floodborn story, she becomes a royal knight. Given I am a believer of the Caterella theory, it opens up a lot of possibilities for that dynamic.

And while I know the only thing the two projects have in common are that they are both Disney IP’s, It’s easy to imagine Twist as part of Lorcana, an entire Floodborn world where the character’s stories were altered, giving us the Great Seven. Esteemed heroes of their world, rather than evil villains.

There are a lot of other examples too, and all would be fun playing with the different Twist characters.

Anyway, I've always enjoyed AU's so Lorcana is definitely fuel for that fire where Twisted Wonderland is concerned. Also wonder if there is anyone out there who plays both games like I do.

IM KINDA LATE TO THE PARTY NOW BUT SILVERRRRRR

help,,,,, he's making a career in making sure he has the best card art in this game i swearrrr 😭😭😭 first his platinum card AND THISSSS ok silver, I'LL YAP ABOUT YOUUUU 😭🙏💖

I know alot of people already described how beautiful this card in a thousand poetic ways AND i agree with all of themm BUT when i first saw this groovy,,,, I immediately thought what scene they were referencing here !!!! MAYBE im just reaching but I think Its the climax scene of Aurora finally succumbing to Maleficent's curse !! Specifically they combined elements from the initial build up where Aurora was crying in the vanity beside a candlelight then the eventual sleeping position !!!

Also overthinking the composition now, but I AM eating up at how the angle of the green candlelights makes it feel like its supposed to symbolized Lilia, Malleus, and Sebek and how they always watch over Silver,,,, there's always an instance of them taking care of him whenever he falls asleep 🥹💖

BUT THE THING IS,,,, there is SOMETHING with the way they drew his eyelashes here,,, ITS MOST SIMILAR to Malleus!!!

I am probably reaching further,,, but as far as I remember, no one up (until now) but Malleus whose eyelashes is drawn so meticulously, like EACH STRAND is prominent sharp, accentuated, and extra curly LIKE ADSKFJKLDFJ ITS SUCH A BIG GLOW UP FROM HIS INITIAL SLEEPING CARD (Silver Robes SR) JUST COMPARE

AND MORE IMPORTANTLYYYY It makes me so crazy how different these cards are....

At the beginning of Book 7, Silver is often at sunlight... but nowadays after his arc where he finally confronted the fact he's Dawn's son and that Lilia's love for him will not change even after that fact, we see him more in moonlight !! ITS LIKE THE BLESSING SCENE AGAINNN (how Baby Silver's hair went from gold like sunlight to silver like moonlight because of a night fae's blessing (acceptance that Lilia loves him)

I love how they slowly emphasize over time that Silver's home is Briar Valley, with the NIGHT faes (yk who they are), that they showcase that fact through initially releasing his arts associated with the sun then eventually the night and the moon 🥹🥹💗💗💖💖💖

SLEEPING BEAUTY AND THE BEAST SIBLINGS HC AU

As requested, in cannon rosabella and briar are cousins so this is some art to go along with their relation. I believe that the beast kind of of slandered his family since he was bitter that he had to grow up and live without his family, so his decedents grew up believing that briars side of the family was mean until Rosabella and briar cleared it up.

Also the beast died without ever getting to say goodbye to his family and kingdom again, and that will be the same for briars brothers and she cannot stomach that at all she practically raised them so that adds to why she's so anti her legacy

This Disney Twisted Wonderland collage is par of a series that showcase the parallel comparisons between the original TWST characters with the classic Disney villain characters (or trademark items) that they are based on upon and inspired from. In which has those Twisted Wonderland characters be seen as the TWST counterparts of those Disney characters. I got the idea for this series after seeing Tumblr posts of the TWST Housewardens and Vice-Housewardens being featured beside the original Disney characters that they represent, and I didn't want to limit myself to the Dorm Heads and overblot victims, but also for the other TWST characters. That's why I didn't leave out Lillia Vanrouge, Sebek Zigvolt and Silver (like I did with Jack Howl and Ortho Shroud). Although it has been clear that Malleus Draconia and the Diasomnia dorm are modelled after Maleficent, who the other three are based upon is a bit of a mystery.

From what I read on Google, they say that Lilia's bat motif is a reference to dragon!Maleficent, Sebek is of Maleficent's thorn and lightning magic and Silver's tiredness is a hit to the spindle of the Spinning Wheel that put Sleeping Beauty to sleep. Spoilers from chapter 7, however, has me question these claims and I don't really trust the source that this information came from. In case I turn out to be wrong and there might be some truth to this, I featured the three in the same collage to be safe. It is also why I dubbed the collage as "Magic of Diasomnia."

If you want my opinion, I believe that Lilia might have been inspired from one of Maleficent's goons, the same with Sebek. The reason for this thought is due to face of the goblin-like goon being part of Lilia's Pop Music club wear and Lilia was a knight who served the royal Draconia family. The same with Sebek's grandfather, and there is Maleficent goon that has a crocodile-like face. Sebek is also the name of an Egyptian god with a crocodile face, unless it is only Grandpa Zigvolt alone who is based on that Sleeping Beauty character.

Another group is saying that Lilia's character could be a reference to the bat style of Maleficent's throne, or that part of his character is drawn from the Three Good Fairies. Since Silver has some Aurora-like traits, not only does be nod off and animals are drawn to him, but it is mentioned that Lilia raised him a prince. If you take a look at the later parts of chapter 7, you'll see that the story of how Lilia came to be Silver's father paradelles with the 2014 Maleficent film. There was also a reference to the Three Good Fairies in a chat between Silver and Lilia about Lilia's cooking, from how he placed candles on a cake when it was still being made and put eggs in the bowl without taking the eggs out of their shells. Along with Lilia's groovy Platinum Jacket card having him looking at a portrait of the three fairies in question.

If you don't think any of these are the case, please share your thoughts and keep them kind. I'm still new to the TWST fandom, and still learning about it.

Sleeping Beauty AU

The dragon waiting for Lucifer was Razzle, corrupted by Lilith's song as she was present when Lucifer made him. Lucifer's goal was not to hurt Razzle, instead fly around the area and use Razzle's fire while chasing him to burn the impenetrable thorns, while he figured out how to undo what Lilith did. He didn't want to think about what he may have to do to his ex-wife to stop this, so he focused on his true love waiting asleep in the tower. He made sure the last of the thorns actively in his way were dealt with before throwing a barrier over the hotel and running inside. Razzle was under orders to stop him, so he wouldn't cause damage anywhere else.

The hotel left completely empty was eerie, but Lucifer didn't mind as he ran to the top of the tower where Alastor was sleeping, and despite the dragon banging against the barrier to get in, Lucifer couldn't take his eyes off him. He was attracted to Alastor since the beginning despite his better judgement, but he packed it down until this exact moment. Knowing that after thousands of years in existence, his true love lay in front of him, waiting to be woken up.

He wanted to kiss Alastor then and there, but first he made sure he memorized the passage of the book that mentioned the cure so he could quote it verbatim if Alastor got the wrong idea. Only then, once he was sure, did he sit down beside Alastor, hopeful he would finally see his smile that had fallen since the curse took effect, and leaned down to kiss him.

The moment their lips brushed against one another, Alastor woke up with a start, taking a moment to remember where he was and how he got there, and he looked up at Lucifer. Lucifer was about to start quoting the book, when Alastor smiled, and in the most unromantic tone possible, said: "I should have known it was you."

Lucifer had to do everything in his power not to pull Alastor into a tight hug and not let go, the kiss for curse-breaking purposes was already a big step and he didn't want to push it, but Charlie threw open the door and did the tight hug for him, crying and apologizing for not having saved him, and Alastor assures her it's quite alright. It wasn't her fault. But Lucifer has to wonder, how did Charlie get in? Charlie tells them the kiss must have done something, because the thorns disappeared and Razzle was back to normal. Something happened with Lilith.

Alastor and Lucifer looked at one another. They needed to talk about the revelation of being each other's true love, but for the moment they had something bigger to worry about, and they would face it together.

I learned that Meleanor is green and Lilia is pink which references the three fairies in Sleeping Beauty. Which meant there's a chance that Levan is blue...and knowing a certain fae with blue aesthestics.

Damn, they're the nocturnal fae "Good Fairies" to mirror the diurnal fairy trio that bless baby Silver...

Although a google post says that Silver's character was based upon the spindle of the spinning wheel, I feel that he is actually inspired by Aurora. Think about it, Silver falls asleep without warning, animals are drawn to him, the mention of Lilia teaching Silver to sing like a prince, and the nature of Silver's signature spell. There is also the fact that parts of chapter 7 paradelle with the 2014 Maleficent film, specially the flashback event that reveals how Lilia came to adopt Silver. There are also those who say that Lilia has some similar traits to the three good fairies, who had trouble looking after the princess in the live-action remake film. That's why I used that version of Aurora for the collage.
