Farmer: That's it? One thing doesn't go your way and your solution is to give up?
Shane: I'm not giving up!
Shane: But, on an unrelated note, i'm never leaving my bed again.

This was in the tags on some other post and it's completely baffling to me.
How....how can you not be trans in Stardew???? Is there a sign? Does Mr. Qi pop in every once in a while to say "hey, you're cis kid" like?
There's literally a magic altar where you can change your avatar's gender in the wizard's basement but even disregarding that....

The green rain in year 1 of Stardew is such a terrifying omen, all the townspeople are huddled together thinking yoba is striking them down, the tv turns to static, the world is overrun. Life as we know it is gone and all thats left is a green wasteland.
Year 2 on the other hand, I think is the most British response to a situation I have ever seen.
"oh there seems to be a spot of green rain outside."
"oh I do say, I believe you're right."
"my my, look at the mess out there. I don't want to be the one to clean that up "

My personal ideas about the bachelor's and Bachelorette's sexualities (its ok if you don't feel the same. These, again, are just my feelings and thoughts):
Penny: a lesbian but doesn't know it. She believes in the nuclear family and grew up in a strict household. This has led her to believe that she is straight, despite her always making time for Maru and the farmer. She could marry a man and have kids, but that's more out of belief of what's right than actual love.
Maru: pan and proud of it. I could see her going to pride parades and bringing her partner.
Alex: he would either be straight or gay. I think it's all in how you read his conversations with the farmer tbh. You could take his comments as flirty jokes or as kind of mean to keep you away.
Harvey: straight. He just seems like your stereotypical anxious nerd I'm sorry.
Hayley: lesbian. 100% lesbian. Trying to convince herself she's straight and that overwhelming feeling she has for women is just deep friendship.
Elliot: bi all the way. He's too dramatic to be straight.
Leah: lesbian. She's an artist with a cabin and wears a braid and wears suspenders. I've never seen a straight woman wear suspenders on the reg.
Sebastian: straight or gay. I still can't figure it out.
Sam: straight. Skater gamer boy who loves his family and wants one of his own.
Emily: I honestly see her as pan but more on the aromantic spectrum. Like she's just super bubbly and happy and isn't actually looking for a relationship.
Abigail: bi but leans more towards women. This needs no explanation.
Shane: I've always seen him as straight ngl. But could also see him marrying someone he cherished deeply as a friend to keep them around so he could have a bit of happiness daily.

Two more to go! Elliott always uses so much 🌸flowery🌸 words
That's cute but hopeless romantic is not my type, that's why I never intend to marry Elliott ever (only now that I want to collect all the 14-heart events and portraits)
Don't flatter yourself -roll eyes-
Umm Haley? I'm married. You're a side chick like the other 10 people (also ex-wife but I erased your memory so you don't remember that)
That's great that we have a coffee machine right there
Okay that was funny to imagine
This is sweet
Elliott's 14-heart event ⬇️
He's kinda high maintenance
