"I'm calling it the Combination Harvester," he said.
Bill Door felt very old. In fact he was very old. But he'd never felt it as much as this. Somewhere in the shadow of his soul he felt he knew, without the blacksmith explaining, what it was that the Combination Harvester was supposed to do.
OH.
"We're going to give it a trial run this afternoon up in old Peedbury's big field. It looks very promising, I must say. What you're looking at now, Mr. Door, is the future."
YES.
Bill Door ran a hand over the framework.
AND THE HARVEST ITSELF?
"Hmm? What about it?"
WHAT WILL IT THINK OF IT? WILL IT KNOW?
Simnel wrinkled his brow. "Know? Know? It won't know anything. Corn's corn."
AND SIXPENCE IS SIXPENCE?
"Exactly."
Terry Pratchett, Reaper Man

So I started my Buffy rewatch and has anyone else ever noticed the parallel between Buffy’s first Bronze slay and her “Life’s a Show” Bronze slay?
1x2: Buffy is coming into her power, full of teen confidence and bravado. The core Scoobies leave together united, the world/future is perfectly clear for them.
6x7: Buffy can barely find herself, overwhelmed by depression. The core Scoobies leave more divided than ever before, the world/future entirely unclear.
But in both episodes, she pops off the pool table, kills a villain with a pool stick, drops her leather jacket, and gives the villain an ultimatum. It’s a perfect mirror.

Harvest in Ukraine
Mykola Pymonenko

I think that Bill Door/Death would appreciate this. The golden wheat harvest, the young life, people going about their lives...
