I was reporting bots on the asexual tag and just got 8 IN A ROW from the same bot! It's really annoying that it's difficult to both block and report on mobile, so I tend to just report if I'm tired, but even without blocking I didn't expect to see so many posts from 1 bot, all trying to sell a different product.

Okay these bot's are getting out of control. Like they've popped up in the tarot tag, fear and hunger tag, Chainsaw man tag, and the card captor Sakura tag. What is their problem does anyone actually click on them instead of just blocking.

Blocking & reporting does nothing because there are thousands. I see them everywhere. they invade my asks & DMs. Just scrolling through the #plushblr tag I see them over & over. i dunno if they're real people or what. Thank god they're not men because i'd be so triggered I'd have to leave Tumblr. No idea what to do. this doesn't feel like a safe space. Every tag I browse I see them. I dunno how they do it. I report them every single time but I don't think Tumblr is moderated AT ALL. These aren't k!nk blogs of real people, they're like cam girl bots or something. I got FOUR in my DMs today, and they pop up on #plushblr PLUSHBLR! and JELLYCAT and #nostalgia and everywhere else. I'd hate to leave. I love the community, i love seeing cute & wholesome stuff. So, if you follow me, please make sure not to resemble a bot on accident. I don't want to accidentally blog / report anyone for spam, because I mistake them for a bot!

Anyone else getting an insane amount of bots today? All of them have had default icons and most have had “senza titalo” in their bio which according to google translate means “no title” in Italian.

PSA to new tumblr users please post at least one thing and change ur description in ur blog and give yourself a pfp doesn't matter what it is!!! there has been bots having blank blogs and following people

If you've been blocked by someone you followed you may have been mistaken as a bot if you have a completely blank blog! This is not your fault its unfortunately bots ruining everything.

@staff you need to sort out this bot problem. It's not only the asexual tag being abused for marketing. This one was in the Palestine tag. It's outright offensive and gross to abuse that tag for marketing, and it's your job to actually do something about it!

i may have discovered a new genre of bot

i've recently been followed by a bunch of generic, empty tumblrs with no blog header or posts, but not the normal generic-sexy-lady-scam type.

these ones seem even more perplexing, with two-word urls like 'vulnerable-tide89' or something equally as reddity and completely random blog photos.

an example: one photo had a pale blue background and a cut-off image of a list shoes and a woman looking at those shoes. it looked like something from an advert. you couldn't see their face, and there were only 2 outof at least 3 shoes on the list visible. it read, "Which footwear would complete your look?"

idk what to do, since they're not obviously trying to sell me dodgy webcam services or anything but all the same they can NOT be human users

I was just followed by a bot account called "fracturedstarburst". I immediately blocked it, obviously.

But seriously... A perfectly good username was snatched from the hands of a future human account by a waste of internet space.
