𝐘𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐢𝐜𝐡𝐢 𝐓𝐬𝐮𝐠𝐢𝐤𝐮𝐧𝐢 𝐱 𝐒𝐢𝐜𝐤! 𝐑𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐫
Genre: Fluff
CW: Mentions of vomiting
Short because I wrote this on my phone + I actually am pretty sick right now (oops!)
:
”Your complexion is paler than usual. Are you sure you aren’t in need of a doctor?”
Through blurred vision you can barely make out Yoriichi’s tall stature towering over you. Your eyes flutter open and shut, fighting to stay awake. You attempt to answer him yet nothing but a pitiful mumble is able to escape your mouth. Ever since you threw up this morning, he’s been guarding you like a clingy puppy. Yoriichi’s brows furrowed as he frowns.
“I see,” he whispered, “I’ll go into the village and fetch you one.”
Just as Yoriichi turned, leaving his shadow casted onto the wooden floors, you whined. You didn’t want to be alone, not in a state like this. He froze in his steps before glancing back to you.
“What’s the matter, my love?” He asks, voice silky and sweet like honey.
“Don’t go,” is all you can stutter out, weak and raspy.
Yoriichi nods sympathetically, kneeling down before you. His eyes, usually devoid of any emotion, are now filled with concern. His hand tenderly finds its way to your forehead. Despite being the sun hashira, Yoriichi’s hands are freezing cold and contrast greatly to your burning face. You lean into his gentle touch as he softly coos.
“There, there…”
Your face burns again; yet this time it’s from blush and not your headache inducing fever. Yoriichi simply being there is enough to make you feel far better. He leans further and offers a small kiss to your forehead, his wine colored hair ticking your cheeks.
With all the strength you can muster, you wrap your arms around him. It’s quite the weak hug yet Yoriichi accepts it without hesitation. He knows he might get sick as well but what matters most is you.
“Are you feeling any better now, dear?”
“Now I am.”
:
I love Yoriichi so much it’s unreal. Yea this is also self indulgent but I’m sure you all won’t mind <3 bye bye sunshines !!!

In a world where Demons had become domesticated in the last century or so, becoming glorified pets and workers.
You knew you had done your friend a favor by getting her a pet demon, especially since you were worried about her mental state, which had been rapidly getting worse.
Weeks and months had passed now. Of course you remained in constant contact and had observed how good it was for her to take care of the demonic creature. Which of course left you wondering why you didn't have one, since you weren't any better when it came to fighting the loneliness that was a constant part of your life. Some solitude was always good but when prolonged, it was overwhelming and could be painful.
That's why you thought it couldn't hurt to - maybe - keep your eyes open, look and behold, it literally popped in front of your nose as you walked past a shelter. There was a red sign with 'HIGH DISCOUNT' there.
It wouldn't hurt to take a look, right?
Your entrance was announced by the ringing of a bell above the door. There was no one there and you looked around cautiously. There were all sorts of things that were used for keeping a demon. You walked down the corridor and saw a big cage standing darkly in the corner. It was larger than the other cages you had seen and you became curious, especially since the sign also said high discount.
As you walked in closer, you noticed the demon who was on his knees behind the bars, dignified and humble, he had his gaze lowered until he realized you were there. He was beautiful with his maroon colored eyes and long black hair that turned reddish at the tips. A prominent mark on his forehead took nothing away from his beauty and neither did the two horns that protruded from his forehead. Two horns…? Wait a minute, this means…
“This is a pureblood, very rare on the market.”
Startled, you turned to the clerk, who suddenly stood behind the counter and stared at you. Your gaze went back to the demon, who looked at you carefully and didn't take his eyes off of you. “Then why is it at such a low price?”
“Because of his brother.”
"His brother?" You frowned and looked confused from the seller to the cage and you felt another presence in the cage - 6 glowing eyes stared at you from the dark corner.
He stepped forward next to his brother and even though you could tell they were probably twins, you could clearly see the differences. The red of his long hair was darker and more spikier, his complexion paler, his physique was broader and more muscular. But this was not the main difference. It was his eyes which he held 6 pairs of. Golden with red sclera. His aura was intimidating and yet also very regal and proud. He had two horns as well that were more purple than red. He also adorned an additional mark that ran from his chin down to his throat.
“Why, what’s wrong with his brother?” You couldn't take your eyes off him as you asked your questions and saw him squinting all of his 6 eyes on you.
“Yoriichi is a very domestic and remarkable demon. Very trusting, friendly, and listens to every command but his brother, Kokushibo, on the other hand… Well, I can only say that his previous owner was not able to handle him.”
“It didn’t occur to you to separate the two?”
“Of course, but every time they were separated, Kokushibo became more and more uncontrolled, and Yoriichi always managed to escape and return to his brother. We’ve tried it several times but it just didn’t work, which is why these rare purebloods are on discount.”
You saw Yoriichi looking at you with interest and Kokushibo about to hiss at you. You turned your head to the seller and grinned at him. “I’ll take them both.”
~ ~ ~
You really didn't know what got into you when you found yourself standing in front of the two demons that were clearly too tall. They literally towered over you by almost two heads, looking down at your pathetic height. You should have been intimidated, but strangely enough, you weren't. Maybe it was because Yoriichi's calm and tranquil manner balanced out Kokushibo's wild and angry one. The two of them were like yin and yang. Brothers who couldn't be separated.
The purchase was so spontaneous that you weren't really prepared and you were lucky enough to have a larger apartment with an additional room that you could possibly make available to the two of them. Your friend, whom you surprised with the demon Giyuu, probably felt as unprepared as you too.
“When was the last time you two ate?”
The two of them stared at you before Kokushibo turned away in disdain and Yoriichi felt obligated to answer for them both. He opened his mouth and it was the first time either of them had opened their mouths. “We last ate 10 days ago.”
What?! No wonder the six-eyed demon was in such a bad mood. Demons didn't have to eat regularly like humans. 1 to 2 a week was enough, but not 10 days! They must have been absolutely starving!
After they had eaten, you prepared their room. Unfortunately you didn't have any other beds, just futons, but that should be enough for now.
~ ~ ~
A few days passed and they were quieter than expected. Kokushibo hadn't done anything bad to you but still refused to talk to you while Yoriichi was very pleasant.
“Yoriichi, do you want me to take your collar off? The Wisteria pouch must be uncomfortable for you.” Collars were mandatory for demons when they wanted to go outside, but the owner was able to choose at home.
He lowered his gaze humbly. “You are too kind, Mistress.”
You were very fond of Yoriichi. You liked his kind and gentle nature that even soothed your own chaotic thoughts. It was the least you could do for him. You asked him to lower his head and carefully took off his collar. While you came so close to him, you noticed his hair and gently stroked it. “How about I brush your hair, it’s looking a bit dull.”
His hair was beautiful and you could feel how he enjoyed being pampered by you in this way. How your brush went slowly through the dark red waves, making them shine again. It was a very domestic situation between the both of you that got interrupted by a dark aura from the corner. You quickly glanced from Yoriichi’s hair to Kokushibo. If you didn't know any better then you would assume that he was jealous, but you were not sure.
“Are you hungry?” But there was no answer. It was not like you expected him to talk. Both demon brothers had been very silent since the beginning. After taking off Yoriichi’s collar you noticed that he spoke a little bit more. His pleasant and calm voice relaxed you deeply and you wondered whether Kokushibo could even speak and whether it was perhaps because of the prong collar that he still had around his neck. The prong collar looked painful and even if you weren't intimidated by his strong presence, you still wanted to be careful.
But somehow that seemed unfair to you.
“Yoriichi, please wait here.” You stood up and approached the tall menacing demon until you were standing in front of him. He didn’t lower his ominous presence when he looked down on you and yet you showed no fear. ”Lower your head, please.” But he did nothing of that sort, but squinted his 6 eyes onto you. You let out a long sigh. You knew that it wouldn't be easy with him and yet you were slightly annoyed when you needed to pull up a chair so you could be on the same level as him.
“Don’t move…” You were very close to him as you fumbled with his prong collar to open it. What kind of brutal device was that? The collar was far too tight on his neck and had left scars; there were also scratch marks that showed that he had desperately tried to open it himself. It was said that demons who have face marks are wilder and less easy to tame. Kokushibo even had two. Was that the reason why they tortured him like that? Anger flared up in you, but you took controlled breaths so you were able to focus on this damn opening mechanism.
Kokushibo watched your efforts with interest and for the first time there was no anger or threatening aura coming from him or his eyes. After some fiddling with his neck, you managed to open the damn collar and threw it on the floor. Your gaze was focused on the puncture scars on his neck. Without a second thought, your fingers roamed over the spots.
Well at least you tried, because he had stopped you with such a quick movement that you took a startled step back. The only thing was that you had forgotten you were still standing on a chair and your foot stepped on thin air.
Everything happened so quickly in the next few seconds that you were not able to realize what actually happened until your body was pressed against his, his strong arms around your waist. He caught you in time and held you against his solid physique, and you could feel how strong and muscular he was. You looked at him with wide eyes while he looked at you almost bored. “You humans are so clumsy.”
Were those really his first words towards you? His voice had a deeper timbre than Yoriichi's and it made your skin shiver. Since his arrival, all he had done was glare at you and intimidate you with his brutal presence, which he was very good at controlling. All that was gone now as he still held you close to him - as if you weighed nothing. His gaze on you was interested, since this was the first time you were up so close to him.
“You- You can put me down now…” And he did. With a gentleness you never expected from him. Your soft body slid along his. You looked at him, slightly puzzled. “I'll get some balm for your wounds. Maybe you should sit down so I don’t have to get back on a chair.” He just nodded at you and sat down on the sofa where Yoriichi was sitting.
You left the room briefly and didn't notice how the brothers communicated with each other or how Kokushibo’s eyes were following you. With the balm in your hand, you sat between the two and turned your attention to Kokushibo. “Don’t be alarmed, it might be a little cool now,” you whispered as you gently rubbed the cool gel along his neck. He didn't even bat an eyelash and just let you do it while keeping all his 6 eyes closed. Was he enjoying it? It seemed like it. You carefully stroked over it a second time as you saw how the wounds were already starting to heal. “Woah!” You let out surprise.
“Our wounds heal very quickly and we can’t have scars, but my brother's collar was coated with an extra strong dose of wisteria that made him even weaker and made it difficult for him to speak. Thank you, Mistress, for this generous gift you gave to both of us.”
Yoriichi, who was sitting to your right, had taken your hand. He brought it gently to face and brushed it against his cheek and gave each knuckle a kiss. There were so many emotions associated with his gesture, like gratitude and affection, that it almost brought tears to your eyes.
You turned your head towards Kokushibo who looked at you with a look that you couldn't interpret. He finally spoke and his voice made you shiver again. “I would like to take a bath. May I, Owner?”
You simply nodded and watched him get up and disappear into the bathroom. Yoriichi, who was still holding your hand, spoke as his brother was gone. “Michikatsu is not evil as anyone would assume. He needs love and affection like any other being. I wouldn't mind if you would give some of your attention and affection to him."
“Michikatsu? His name is not Kokushibo?”
He shook his head. “Koku, black. Shi, death, Bo, eye. They named him like that because of his eyes. He never corrected them as he wanted them to fear him. But in reality Michikatsu is the nicest of them all.”
Michikatsu is the nicest of them all.
Yoriichi's words echoed in your mind as you knocked on your bathroom door and opened a crack. "Can I come in?"
“This is your house, Owner...”
You grimaced at his wording and entered anyway. You saw him sitting relaxed in the tub with all but one of his eyes closed. With the one he watched you carefully as you took a washcloth and sat down on a stool behind him. You gestured for him to lean forward slightly, which he did.
You moistened the washcloth with the warm water and gently slid it over his broad shoulder. Luckily his hair was already in a bun so you had free access to his back. At first he was very tense, but when he realized that you didn't mean him any harm and just wanted to scrub his back, you felt his muscles slowly relax under your fingers.
“I told your brother the same, please don’t call me Owner. Just call me Y/N. It feels so degrading to you both to call me owner.”
He was silent for a while before answering. “We... are demons... We have no right to name anything the way we want... We have no right to have an opinion on what we should be called. We are just objects in people's eyes. Easy pets...”
This time you were the one who remained silent, because you had felt the resentment and frustration behind those words. You took a cup and filled it with warm water and poured it over his back to wash away the dirt that had formed from your scrubbing. “I don’t know what your previous owners did to you. You don't have to tell me, but you're not objects to me. You are living beings who deserve to live a good life. You can call my home yours too. You are allowed to have possessions too.”
“That is…noted…”
The next few minutes were shrouded in silence, but it wasn't unpleasant. On the contrary, Michikatsu actually seemed to enjoy the way you gently massaged his scalp with your fingertips while you shampooed his hair. You enjoyed these domestic activities. To take care of someone. To make them feel good. You hadn't done that for a very long time because you had also been alone for a long time. Being alone was painful-
Before you could delve into your dark thoughts, you noticed an odd smell and was startled. Did you leave something on the stove? No, it smelled way too pleasant for that.
Michikatsu noticed your twitch, but he didn't react like you. “Yoriichi has been watching you for days, like me. He’ll probably cook you something while you’re here with me.”
You looked at him in surprise. He wasn't serious, was he? You really wanted to check, but wanted to finish bathing Michikatsu.
“Go… I’ll wash up and join you…”
You nodded and walked into the kitchen where you saw Yoriichi standing at the stove with your pink apron on. He looked at you and gave you a smile. “Since you take such good care of us, I wanted to prepare something for you. I read that miso soup is very popular and you had the ingredients for it. Do you like miso soup with silken tofu?”
You couldn't help but giggle at the sight of him looking so adorable with your pink apron. “Yes, I love miso soup.”
~ ~ ~
Ever since Kokushibo spoke to you, you were sure that all three of you were getting along very well. You ate together, laughed and talked. Well mainly you talked, because the two of them enjoyed listening to you talk and you finally had the feeling that someone actually wanted to listen to you too. And of course you cared for them too. Pampered them, washed their backs and bought them what they wanted even if that was not much. Yoriichi had once told you that it was enough that you would treat them well as you did now. This always made you question what terrible things had been done to them. How would they dare to treat them badly? You didn't want to think too deeply about it. If they didn’t want to talk and think about it then who were you to do so?
“Ouch!”
You looked at your finger which was starting to bleed. You quickly put your bleeding finger under running water to rinse out the dirt and checked out the wound. Shit, the cut was deeper than expected. Suddenly you felt Michikatsu’s presence very close to you. You jumped. Even after weeks, you couldn't get used to how quietly the two of them moved around the apartment. He looked down at you and your bleeding finger.
“Don’t worry, it’ll stop bleeding soon.” You weren't sure if you were saying this more to yourself than to him, but he wasn't deterred. He took your hand and put your finger in his mouth, licking the blood off. You looked at him with wide eyes. You were even more surprised when he suddenly took you in his arms and carried you to the couch and sat down, you sitting sideways on his lap, taking your bleeding finger into his mouth again.
You were literally puzzled, but he didn't seem to mind. You had been in the middle of cooking and wanted to tell him so, but he just gave you a look which silenced you.
“Clumsy human, let Yoriichi do the cooking and let me take care of your wound.”
You wanted to say something in response but didn't know what. You had already seen Yoriichi scurrying into the kitchen but were distracted again when Michikatsu gently nibbled on your finger and put it in his mouth.
Since that time he always looked for moments to distract himself by nibbling on your fingers. He seemed to have an oral fixation, or he just liked it. Either way, he seemed to be enjoying it and it didn't bother you, so you let him have his way. It also gave you the chance to look at him up close, as he often didn't allow that.
Michikatsu noticed this of course. “You’re not at all disgusted by my appearance.”
“Why should I?” You did not understand the question.
“Are my eyes not too scary for you?”
Oh, this is what it was about… “Is this why you always keep all eyes closed and just look with one?”
“No, I keep them closed so that I don’t have sensory overload and… so that you aren’t afraid of me.”
“So I was right?”
He kept silent and you gave him a soft smile. “Please close your eyes.” He did as you asked. You moved closer to him ever so slowly and gently kissed each of his 6 eyelids. When you let go he looked at you in surprise, his 6 eyes wide. This was the first time you could see the emotions so strong on his face. “You are not a monster and never will be to me.”
~ ~ ~
“You are not jealous, right?” you asked Yoriichi, while he was sitting patiently in front of you as you brushed his long beautiful hair.
He shook his head. “No, why should I?”
“Well… Because I give your brother so much more attention than you.” It was a little bit uncomfortable to admit this, but it was true. Michikatsu was very demanding and jealous from time to time, even if you don’t give him much reason for it. But yet, anytime you were close to Yoriichi or spending time with him, he immediately snatched you away in silence and nibbled on your fingers.
“But I did ask you to do so, right?”
“I mean, yes you did. But I still feel bad about it. You deserve my attention as much as Michikatsu.”
Yoriichi took your hand, it seemed like the brothers had a fixation with your hands, and kissed your knuckles as he always does when he wants to show his gratitude. “Sitting here with you, hearing you talk, while you touch me so affectionately, is everything I ever wanted.”
Yoriichi were always able to hit you with the right words and gestures. You leaned forward and gave him a kiss on the crown of his head. “You are such a good boy and deserve the whole world.” You felt Yoriichi shiver from your words.
~ ~ ~
Months passed, the season changed and it was winter. That meant the Christmas markets opened very soon! You were excited because you wanted to show the brothers how beautiful the markets can be. Of course they needed to wear collars, since demon companions were required to wear one by law. You hated it, since you were not able to forget the painful device Michikatsu had had to wear, but you had to adhere to the law. You decided to get the type that was demon friendly without the wisteria pouch for both of them.
The three of you strolled through the Christmas market, Michikatsu to your left and Yoriichi to your right, and you received a lot of attention. You didn't know if it was because of their height or because of their distinguishing face marks. It could also be due to Michikatsu’s threatening aura, or the fact that they had two horns which identified them as purebloods - a very rare sight to see.
It wasn't important to you. The only important thing was that they had fun like you did and got as many impressions as possible. You curiously looked at all the stands and came across a woodcarver that had beautiful pieces to offer when you suddenly saw a wooden puzzle box. Himitsu-bako. You took it carefully and stared at it, fascinated. You always wanted to try it. The idea to get so fixated with a riddle was so appealing to you that you asked about the price. He named the price. You thanked him, placing the puzzle back down, and went to the next stall.
“Why didn’t you buy the puzzle box? You seemed very interested in it.” Yoriichi looked at you questioningly, while Michikatsu lingered in the back, his attention somewhere else.
“Oh, it was a bit too expensive. I wanted to have money for candied apples and to buy you two something you want! The puzzle has no priority.” You gave him a bright smile as the cold air made your cheeks blush.
You threw yourself onto your couch immediately when you got home. Man, you were exhausted. Yoriichi and Michikatsu didn't even seem to show any signs of exhaustion, but you clearly were. Walking for hours had drained you and you just wanted to relax now. “Do you want to watch a movie?”
As usual, they sat down on the couch on either side of you as you made yourself comfortable. It wasn’t long until your head was resting on Yoriichi's lap, him playing softly with your hair while Michikatsu massaged your calves that were sore from all the walking. You felt so comfortable and safe that it didn't take long for you to fall asleep and you missed over half of the movie. You didn’t notice how Yoriichi gently lifted you into his arms and carried you to bed or how he gave you a gentle kiss on the forehead while you cuddled yourself onto your blanket.
~ ~ ~
"What is this?" You stared at the small box that was placed in front of you and you didn't hesitate to pick up. It didn't take long for you to realize what it was. It was a wooden puzzle box. Himitsu-baku! You looked excitedly at the beautiful piece. “But where did you get that from, Michi-kun?”
“Michikatsu is very skilled in wood carving,” Yoriichi replied as Michikatsu watched you with interest. “He made me a flute too, see?” He took out the little flute and showed it to you.
You looked at the beautiful piece in awe and then looked over at Michikatsu. “Michi-kun, I didn’t know you were so talented! Yori-kun, can you play on that?”
Yoriichi didn't hesitate and played some soft tunes. You clapped your hands enthusiastically. “You two are so talented!” You watched as Michikatsu turned away and hid his face behind his hair. Was he blushing? You probably saw it wrong… You looked back at your box. These were some refined skills, which made you wonder.
“It never occurred to me to ask you about your hobbies or what activities you like to do…” You felt guilty because until now they had always obediently gone along with everything you wanted but you never asked what they wanted.
The brothers looked at each other, visibly confused by your change of topic. This time Michikatsu spoke to answer your question. “We enjoy…training kendo together… But our previous owners didn’t like it at all… They got scared… Also we always lack the space and the necessary tools.”
"Tools?"
“A bokken, but a simple wooden broomstick will do too,” Yoriichi explained to her.
"Oh! I think I can organize that! Also a place for you to train! The apartment complex has an unused backyard. We can go there in the evening! As often as you want too!”
You three were at the said place. You were not able to find a bokken, but Yoriichi had said that broomsticks are enough for now. You can get them the necessary equipment later. Oh, how happy they would be, you thought excitedly to yourself.
Now you sat in a corner, lulled in your jacket as you watched the two brothers standing in front of each other. They first bowed respectfully and then it began. Their movements were so fluid and elegant that you were barely able to look away. It was a dance between two brothers who couldn't be more different. Like the sun and moon, Yin and yang. You weren't sure who would emerge victorious, but you were still surprised to see Michikatsu a few minutes later on the ground.
Another fight. Michikatsu was on the ground again. It went on like this until the yukatas were thrown over their shoulders, hanging down from the Hakamas. They were both suddenly topless, the cold didn't seem to bother them. You felt heat creeping into you. It wasn't like you'd never seen them topless before, since you washed and bathed them both from time to time. But now they are training. The muscles rippled in harmony with their movements, it was only then that you realized how incredibly sexy they both actually were.
Both were muscular and strongly built. Yoriichi a little leaner than Michikatsu. Your eyes wandered and you couldn't get enough of what was presented in front of you. Wandering up and down until they stopped on the seductive V-line of the two of them. Your eyes switched back and forth and you had to suppress a sigh as Michikatsu lunged forward, flexing his big biceps.
It didn't take long for you to get wet and dampen your panties. Crap. That was not good. You couldn’t be horny for your demons! That's irresponsible! Both of them had immediately stopped and stared at you as if they knew something. You blushed like a tomato.
“It seems like Y/N is cold. We should go home,” Yoriichi said as he put his yukata back on.
Michikatsu nodded and did the same and you were happy that demons were not able to notice things like that, right?
~ ~ ~
You laid in bed, frustrated, not being able to finish what you had started. Fuck, why can’t I come already? For the past hour you were touching yourself, trying to get rid of this horniness and the lewd thoughts that bothered you all evening. But it didn't work!
You huffed, frustrated, pulling your hands from your pants, and rested your arm on your forehead. It has been a while since you touched yourself. Was it possible to unlearn things like that? You didn’t know. What you did know was that you were exhausted and wanted to sleep but the hot images of the two brothers haunted you badly.
Your thoughts were interrupted by soft knocking. “May we come in?” It was Yoriichi’s soft voice.
You immediately gathered yourself and sat straight in your bed. “Um, y-yes, sure!” The door opened slowly and the two brothers entered your bedroom. “Were you both not able to sleep?”
No answer, only gazes as Michikatsu sat down at the end of your bed and gently massaged your calves while Yoriichi sat close to you and held your hands in his. Normally you didn't have a problem with them being so touchy, you were happy to give them whatever they wanted and secretly you enjoyed it too, but at the moment it wasn't so good. Because you were a bit oversensitive due to your frustration.
Yoriichi looked at you with his soft maroon eyes as he cupped your face. “We sensed your troubles.”
Your furrowed your eyebrows. “My troubles?”
Michikatsu’s hands were gliding a little bit higher onto your thigh. “Yes, your arousal.”
You didn’t know if you were blushing because of the embarrassment of being caught or the feeling of his hands being so close to your core. It also didn’t help that Yoriichi lowered his head closer to your face and talked in his soft beguiling voice. “There is no need to be ashamed, Y/N. You always make sure that we feel good. You care about us so much, never seeing a monster in us. We want to give it back to you…” With each word he came closer, until his lips were on yours. His kiss was so soft and loving that you sighed into the kiss. Yoriichi took that as an invitation for his tongue.
While Yoriichi distracted you with his sensual kiss, you felt Michikatsu slowly dragging your pants along with your underwear down and spreading your legs. “Brother, she smells so intoxicating…” You felt his breath close to your pussy.
Yoriichi, who let go of you briefly to let you catch a breath, answered his brother. “Her lips are sweeter than anything I’ve tasted before.”
Michikatsu did not wait and licked at your slick like a hungry cat and groaned. “You are right… She tastes like heaven…” With these words he dove into your core and lavished on your juices. You let out a surprised moan as you threw your head back. Your hand grabbed desperately at Yoriichi’s yukata who just watched you, fascinated, and then kissed you again. But he didn’t stay on your lips for long. His mouth traveled down your neck, nibbling at the soft skin there. You felt how his hands were slowly pushing up your loose shirt to cup one of your boobs and massaging it slowly with one hand. His mouth also found his destination and kissed and sucked on your other nipple.
So many sensations at the same time and you were not sure what to focus on. The knot inside you tightened, and suddenly everything exploded. You came with a loud moan as you threw your head back once again.
Michikatsu’s lower eyes were closed, his face glistening in your juices. He pushed a single finger into you just to let Yoriichi lick it off. You watched the interaction between them both. It was like he wanted him to know how you tasted. You saw how Yoriichi’s pupils dilated as he tasted your sweet nectar. It was such a lewd image that it made you sigh in anticipation.
You heard your bedsheet ruffle and watched as the brothers swapped their places. Suddenly Michikatsu was in your face, kissing you greedily on the mouth, not letting you take a breath. You were able to taste yourself on his lips but you didn’t mind it at all. Not even that he used his teeth, because all of that was washed away by Yoriichi's tongue and mouth, who was now the one eating you out.
There was a clear difference between the two. Yoriichi was definitely gentler, as were the tongue strokes along your outer labia. Or the way he sucked on your clit. Your left hand was on his head, tangled into his soft waves as you pushed him closer to your cunt, feeling how close you were again.
Your other hand was on Michikatsu, who was pinching your nipples, making you wince and twitch every time, forcing you to keep your attention on him. It was a lot to handle. Lots of feelings and desires at once that you didn't know how to deal with. But they were so strong, able to hold you still while they feasted on you.
Yoriichi hit a point with his tongue that made you come with a loud cry. The waves of the orgasm were so intense that it left you trembling. You had never cum twice in a row in your life.
Yoriichi wiped his face with the back of his hand. Both brothers watched you in awe as you layed there, exhausted from your orgasm.
“She is so beautiful… I want to mark her.”
“Later, when we are inside of her.”
“I am not sure if her bed is able to carry us three.”
“Yes, we should move her to our room with the futons.”
You were not able to distinguish who said what, since your brain felt like mush, but that was not important. You were suddenly lifted up and carried by someone. Your cheek resting on a strong chest. You realized that you were all naked. When did they undress you? You opened your eyes slowly to see his beautiful maroon eyes. “Yori-kun…”
You felt his lips on your forehead and then on your lips again, making you sigh again and heating up the desire in your lower belly.
“Do you think she can take us both?
“She is stronger than you think.”
“I know.” These two words were said in such loving affection that it made your heart flutter.
“Hey… I am still here,” you protested. “You both prepped me so well I… I think I can handle that.”
"Oh, you do?” The first time in your life you saw how Michikatsu smirked at you as he snatched you away from Yoriichi and sat you down on his lap.
You felt his hardened cock close to your core, but your eyes were fixated on that smirk of his. He was “...gorgeous…” You leaned forward, your hands on his muscular chest as you kissed him oh so softly. It seemed like he didn’t expect that softness. Never did he expect anything, though he deserved all the softness and kindness.
You poured all your love into the kiss, playing with his hair, nudging his tongue against yours and biting at his lower lip. He groaned and got impatient. He picked you up by your thighs and placed you on the tip of his dick and let you sink down very slowly. “Michi..!” You whimpered and shuddered at the fullness and how good it felt.
He bottomed out and didn’t move, letting you adjust. Until you moved your hips. “Impatient human,” he murmured as he started sucking on your tit.
You didn't stay still though as you slowly moved your hips and started riding him. His hands grabbed your thighs tightly to help you. Michikatsu couldn’t help but sigh at the feeling of your tightness around him. Gosh, it felt so good hearing those noises coming out of him, knowing that you were the cause of it. Making you feel that you had a tiny bit of control even if it was not like that at all.
Suddenly you felt his hands on your waist, moving up to cup your breasts and kneading them; you also felt his lips kissing along your spine, making you shiver as you still moved on top of Michikatsu. You smiled and when his kisses reached your shoulder, you tried to turn your head to look at him, to give him a kiss. Yoriichi came closer but you were interrupted by Michikatsu, who grabbed your chin and turned your head back to him, just to claim your lips harshly and groan into the kiss.
“H-Hey-” you panted after he left you breathless. “Stop being jealous. I want to kiss Yoriichi too!”
Michikatsu was about to respond when Yoriichi picked you up into his arms without warning. With one fluid movement Michikatsu’s dick slid out of you and you could only go “Oh!” at the sudden feeling of emptiness. Even Michikatsu breathed out harshly at the sudden change and glared at you both.
“Now it's my turn.” You giggled at him teasing his brother and slung your arms over Yoriichi’s neck, your legs around his waist. It was clear that he missed your kisses and you were glad to give him all he could ever want. You started kissing him all over his face - his cheek, his nose, his eyes, and then his lips. You both couldn’t hold back moaning into the kiss when he suddenly sheathed himself into you. You at the fullness he was giving you, and him because you were so tight around his cock.
You marveled at his strength as he held you up so easily, starting to move inside of you at a slow pace. You felt safe in his arms; you knew he wouldn’t even think of dropping you.
You felt the jealous glare on your back and it didn’t take long until Michikatsu got up to stand behind you. One of his hands pushed your hair aside so he was able to kiss and nibble on your left shoulder. You felt his chest pressed on your back as his fingers slid up to spread your wetness and lube you up with additional saliva. It was a strange feeling, but not unwelcome, as Yoriichi’s careful thrusts distracted you from Michikatsu’s motions behind you.
Soon enough, he retracted his fingers and replaced them with his tip. He was so careful with you - a contrast to his earlier roughness - moving in tandem with Yoriichi to bring you pleasure rather than pain. The feeling of them both inside you was overwhelming and you didn’t know what else to do other than to hold tightly onto Yoriichi’s shoulder, your nails digging into his skin.
Michikatsu’s hands joined Yoriichi’s on your thighs. It felt as if the heat of their touch burned you to the core and even if you wanted to get out, it was impossible. You were placed so tightly between the two brothers, moving in sync into you, you could not move at all.
One of your hands reached behind you so you could grab onto Michikatsu’s neck. The other one still gripping onto Yoriichi. The angle changed, and you saw stars, clenching tightly around both of them making them both groan. They sped up, the pleasure bringing tears to your eyes.
“Please…!” You begged, not knowing what for, but it seemed like they knew.
You were not sure if you saw it correctly as your brain was not able to comprehend anything logical at that moment but you saw a change in Yoriichi’s face as if he was communicating with his brother.
The knot inside you tightened for the third time that night. You cried out their names as they thrusted harder into you making your vision blur. This time your release was more intense than you’d ever experienced, but before it could ebb away you felt teeth on both of your shoulders.
You could only cry out and everything went black.
~ ~ ~
Ah shit... Why does my shoulder hurt so much?
You woke up between two muscle-bound bodies and didn't know where you were until you remembered the last night. “Oh fuck…” you whispered and immediately put your hand over your mouth when someone started to grumble in annoyance. Did you wake one of them? Suddenly you were pulled by a strong hand and pressed against a muscular chest. “Stop thinking too much, human, sleep a little bit more. You need rest.”
You looked up into the face of Michikatsu, who had narrowed one of his lower eyes to look at you. You couldn't contradict him because you felt tiredness overcoming you again and you fell back into a deep sleep, safe in his arms.
You woke up again, but this time on Yoriichi's chest, who was playing with your hair. “Good morning.”
“Good morning…” You yawned and looked around, realizing that you both were alone on the futons. “Where is Michikatsu…?”
“He is preparing a bath for you. How do you feel?” He watched you as he waited for your answer.
How did you feel? You were not sure if you thought about last night. Did you regret it? No… But your shoulders were killing you. “My shoulders hurt and I feel sore, but that’s it.”
“Oh, that’s because we marked you.”
“Marked me?”
“Yes,” he smiled at you, “We are now mates.”
Mates… Wait what?! Was that even possible between a human and demons? You heard about this rumour that demons were able to mate each other, but fuck… This was the last thing you ever expected. “What will happen now?”
“First of all you are going to take a bath while we take care of you.” Michikatsu appeared at the door frame as he looked at the both of you, laying naked on top of each other.
~ ~ ~
Even if it was weird in the beginning you quickly got used to the idea of being mated to both of your demons. You hadn’t been sure what to do with the situation and called your friend, who just told you that she had also got mated with her demon. It was not a common thing at all, actually unheard of, but here you were, having not one but two demon mates.
You asked them if that was something common, to have two demons, but they shook their heads. “It’s probably because we are twins and very attached to each other. Perhaps it was inevitable we would share a mate,” Yoriichi told you, while he nuzzled his face into your hair.
“Who would have thought that we would mate with a clumsy human?” You saw the smirk on Michikatsu’s face that now happened to appear more after that night. He seated himself next to you both and snatched you away from Yoriichi again. It seemed like a game between the two brothers at this point - as if they were not able to share a toy.
You faux-sulked. You just took his face into your hands and gave him a long loving kiss. Then you felt how he placed something on your lap.
It was a wooden carving of a woman with two tall men at her sides and looking closer, you realized it was the three of you. The gift nearly made you spill tears, touched by his gesture of love.

“i can tell you’re liking this baby . . . a whole bunch.” yoriichi moaned as he harshly thrusted up into you, molding your walls into the shape of his cock for future sexual moments like this one, branding your pussy as his own. both of his arms were wrapped around your waist and his feet were planted into the mattress, leaving a slight dent in the mattress itself.
his heavy balls were being slapped against your ass at an outstanding speed as he drilled his cock into you. his pace never faltered, but he did lack the sight of your face. his own was buried into the crook of your neck, leaving love bites all over the soft platform in order to mark you as his.
his hips created a rhythm that was suitable for you both. your juices dripped down from the base of his cock and slithered down to his balls, creating more slick and rendering it more convenient for him to slide in and out of you.
yoriichi’s long locks were being tugged by your dainty hands, finding something to ground yourself to escape from his ruthless thrusts. “you’re so p-perfect . . . y’know that? hmm pretty girl?” he inquired during his thrusts, making them more rougher after his question.
it was hard for you to respond to his praise, you knew yoriichi was never the one for degradation or making you feel bad about yourself. he was always about praise and making you feel more high about yourself. he knows how self conscious you can be and he wants to adjust to that lifestyle, especially with you. he wants to live out his lifetime with you, but in order for him to do that, he must adjust to your doings first.
he must understand your likes and dislikes during soft moments and intimate ones. he must understand you as a human being and not just an everyday object. he must treat you like an absolute goddess and not some worn down object waiting to be fixed, and to its dismay, broken down again. in his eyes you are his, he must treat you with absolute respect. he must treat you like a goddess.
that’s why when he stills himself inside of you and cums deep inside to the point where his sperm is spreading into your womb, swimming its way to your unfertilized egg, you don’t tell him to stop. it’s not because you’re too tired or anything, or you’re worn out from all the ruthless fucking you’ve been doing for the past who knows how many hours. it’s because you love him, and he knows that. that’s why he came inside of you. he knows that you wanted to be bred by him sooner or later. he knows this had been boiling inside of both you and him for quite some while.
yoriichi knows everything about you, because he treats you so well. he listens to your every request. he listens to everything, even when you think he’s not listening. yoriichi tsugikuni swears to himself that he will treat you like an absolute goddess. he swears on his life he will. on his own, precious life.

what if Yoriichi gets jealous because his s/o being flirt by other man? like, how would he react?😃
Oooooo. I've already written the opposite scenario, so it'll be interesting to see how things are from the other way around. I think I'm going to do this one in a headcanon format! I hope that works for ya~
Yoriichi as a Jealous S/O
Tumblr media
To begin with, he wouldn't vocalize his jealousy at all. His S/O would only be able to tell he's jealous by the way he stares daggers at the other man and acts cold whenever he's brought up
It depends how assertively the man flirts. If it's ambiguous whether he's actually flirting or just being friendly, Yoriichi would let him off the hook. However, if the other man straight up hit on his S/O, he would show a shade of possessiveness by stepping in and telling the man, firmly, to never hit on them again
Generally Yoriichi controls his emotions quite well, but jealousy is one he would struggle with. His S/O would be able to tell something is off by his body language, how he shuts off at the mere mention of this other man. Then, if his S/O confronted him about it, he'd come clean about his feelings, admitting that he simply cannot stand the thought of S/O being with anyone else and he's battling these emotions every day
He would feel some guilt about his jealousy, as it makes it seem like he doesn't trust his S/O. He would reassure his S/O that he completely trusts them to be faithful, but he simply doesn't trust the man to not put his S/O in uncomfortable situations by trying to make a move on them
He would have frequent intrusive thoughts about his S/O cheating on him for this other man, and that would be what bothers him most. The idea of his S/O actually betraying his trust like that. The sheer thought of it would have him falling to the ground and folding in two, clutching at his chest. He would only be able to console himself by doing about the only thing that'd bring his mind tranquility, which is practicing his swordfighting in his garden and focusing on his breathing
If things went on long enough, he would one day tell his S/O the truth about how the other man makes him feel. It would happen quite randomly; as he and his S/O enjoy a cup of green tea together, he would tell them everything. He was usually so quiet, but he wouldn't be able to bottle his emotions up forever, so he would tell them, relaxed, without leaking an ounce of actual emotion, simply laying down the facts so that his S/O knows where his head is at
Despite how much he dislikes his S/O's relationship with this flirty other man, he wouldn't dissuade his S/O from being friends with him as he recognizes that'd be a controlling move and he doesn't want his S/O to lose out on any friends just because he's unable to control his jealousy
He'd mostly blame himself for his jealousy. However, if the man ever tried to make a move on his S/O, Yoriichi would definitely step in and scorn the man for trying to take someone who's already in a relationship, as this is a very dishonorable move and Yoriichi is all about honor. In fact, I think that's one of the things that'd bother him most of all, that the idea of someone trying to take his S/O is so dishonorable and sneaky that it makes him feel sick
Ultimately, Yoriichi would get jealous and it would hurt him, but with good communication between him and his S/O, they could work through it as his trust and devotion for his S/O would be far beyond his feelings of envy. That being said, he would step in and behave possessively if someone tried it on with his S/O ----- I hope this was a good interpretation of the situation, anon! I think Yoriichi is a really kind and reasonable man who wouldn't want to cause too much trouble for his partner, even if he was going through intense bouts of jealousy. I'm confident that he'd be committed to working things out, too. Thank you for the ask! <3

A marriage of convenience, part 1: The deal.
Pairing: Yoriichi x you
Summary: Yoriichi's friends think that Yoriichi is too lonely and needs a wife and family to take care of him. They propose a marriage of convenience to a woman who's in need of a husband. The arrangement of the marriage is simple: both parties live their lives as before, y/n takes care of Yoriichi as a wife and Yoriichi keeps unwanted men (and demons) away. Love is not required, friendship is appreciated. However, how detached can one be when living so close to each other?

*~*~*~*~*
It's been six years since Uta has passed. Six years in which Yoriichi lived in the same house he found his beloved wife brutally murdered. Since then, he's never been the same. He's never been someone to be cheery or social but after Uta's death, he got even more cool and distant towards people. His demon slayer peers hoped it would get better, that the grief and the pain somewhen would fade and Yoriichi would find back to himself one day. But so far, that never happened.
"Maybe you should get married again, Yoriichi." The burgundy-haired man doesn't reply to his friend's remark but only stares deeper into his teacup. "What he's trying to say is that we're worried about you, Yoriichi. You're all alone in that house. No one to look after you." another demon slayer quickly adds. "I am fine. You don't need to worry but I appreciate your concern." Yoriichi stiffly replies. "For now, but what when you grow old? When your body doesn't work as it used to? We have children to look after us when this happens. But you?" Yoriichi's friend tries to argue. "We're not saying you should replace Uta. No one could. We're saying you shouldn't live alone. A wife would be the simplest solution to that." "I am fine," Yoriichi repeats, shifting in his seat. He clearly feels uncomfortable in this conversation. When his friends asked him to join him for a cup of tea, he did not think that this was their intention. "Look, we know a nice woman who lives a village over from here. You should take a look at her, get to know her." Yoriichi scrunches his eyebrow. He doesn't like how the other man talks about this woman as if she's a puppy up for sale. "I don't need to get to know anybody.", he argues. "You don't have to if you don't want to, but here's the thing: y/n lives alone in a cottage in the woods with her six-year-old son. She's a healer who provides the nearby villages and slayers with ointments and other medicines. Her living situation is common knowledge around here and it keeps on happening that men try to bother her in her own home. She is in need of a husband who keeps the unwanted attention away." his other friend explains. "Also she's like really hot.", the first slayer adds grinning. "In that case, I'm sure she'll find another man who is willing to help her out.", Yoriichi answers. "True, but these men have certain expectations in return. Like you, y/n lost her family a while ago. She isn't trying to start a new one, she just wants to live her life in peace. Doesn't that sound familiar to you?" Yoriichi leans back, crossing his arms in front of his chest. "It would be a marriage of convenience. You'd keep her peace, she takes care of you in return. And since there's already an heir, you'd both be taken care of in old age.", his friend points out. "And no need for another child if that's not what you want.", the other man adds. Yoriichi stares into his tea and thinks about what the men said. "We get you're not convinced about this but you could just meet up with her and see how it goes. What's the harm in one meeting?" Yoriichi takes his cup and finishes his tea in one gulp. "One meeting and after that I don't want to hear anything about this anymore.", he concludes.
*~*~*~*~*
They've set up the meeting at her house. On a sunny spring day, one of the slayers takes him to the cottage in the woods. The cottage lies about half an hour on foot from the nearby village. Very far off for a woman living alone, Yoriichi thinks. The cottage is not like he expected it to look. He expected a Japanese-style wooden house with slide doors. But the house looks like anything he's ever seen before. Western style, he assumes. They are a few feet away from the house when its door suddenly opens. A young woman leaves the house. She wears a traditional kimono but doesn't wear any shoes. Her hair is also not in an updo as most women wear it but it falls loosely around her head. As they walk up to her, Yoriichi feels uncomfortably under her watchful gaze. "(Y/n), it's good to see you. Thank you for inviting us. This is Yoriichi Tsugikuni, the man I've told you about." Yoriichi bows politely to the woman in front of him. Her unreadable facial expression doesn't change but she bows too and says: "It's a pleasure to meet you. I've prepared tea for us."
(Y/n) leads the two slayers into her home where she set up a table with tea and some biscuits. Yoriichi looks around her home as they sit down. The main room of the cottage includes a kitchen and a table. There are multiple shelves on the wall that are filled with different-sized bottles which include colorful liquids and dried herbs. A cord is strung across the room to which bundles of different plants are attached to. "Probably to dry them before she works them into her medicine.", Yoriichi thinks. (Y/n) notices his glance and explains: "I grow these herbs in my garden in the back.". "They smell nice.", Yoriichi notes. At that, (y/n) smiles softly for the first time since they've arrived.
*~*~*~*~*
"So, what do you think of (y/n), Yoriichi?" his friend asks. Yoriichi stares at the path in front of him. "She's not unpleasant.", he concludes. "Well, I hoped for better feedback but I suppose it's a start. Do you want to meet her again?", his friend laughs. Yoriichi hesitates for a moment. "I don't know yet." His friend nods. "You don't have to know yet but I am glad you're giving this a chance." They continue their way home in silence.
*~*~*~*~*
It's been a long night. The demons he hunted weren't hard to deal with but it was a long walk back home. Yoriichi enters his home which lies in dead silence. For a moment he stands in the doorway listening for movement inside the house. He doesn't hear anything. For the first time in a long while, he's not sure if that is a good thing. He walks into his bedroom and leans his sword against the wall. He prepares to go to sleep but once he's inside his futon, sleep doesn't want to find him. His thoughts slip back to his friends and (y/n). (Y/n) is a kind woman, he concludes. During their tea, his friend led most of their conversation. (Y/n) answered all questions, even asked some of her own but never tried to push the conversation further. While his friend talked a lot about marriage, (y/n) not once used the word herself. Taking it slow, Yoriichi thinks and turns to his side. The pale moonlight falls onto his sword. She is looking for a man who can protect her, he thinks. I've failed to protect Uta. How could I possibly protect her? It's best to point this out to her before she actually sees me as a potential marriage candidate. This was his last thought before he slipped into blissful unconsciousness.
*~*~*~*~*
The path to (y/n)'s cottage is small and overgrown with weeds but Yoriichi unmistakenly recognizes it. Walking the path alone without his friends has something peaceful. He's so far out from civilization, the only noises he hears are some songbirds and the rustling of leaves in the soft spring breeze. Soon, a sweet, heavy smell fills the air indicating that the cottage is close. (Y/n) must be baking bread, Yoriichi thinks. He steps onto the meadow on which (y/n)'s cottage stands. A young boy with bright blond hair stands in front of the cottage with a ball in his hand. This must be her son, Yoriichi notes to himself. Last time, (y/n) was alone in the cottage. She sent her son off to play with the boys from the village. The boy watches Yoriichi closely as he makes his way to the cottage. The boy must come after his father, Yoriichi thinks. He shares no facial features with his mother at all.
"Hello, boy. Is your mother around? I need to speak with her." Yoriichi calls out to the boy. The boy only looks up to him with big, round eyes. Yoriichi notices how he grips his ball just a little bit tighter. Yoriichi shifts uncomfortably on his feet. "Is she inside? It smells like she's baking bread.", the burgundy-haired man asks again, his eyes fixed on the boy. "This is (y/s/n). He doesn't speak.", he hears (y/n) say. He looks up seeing the woman standing in the door frame to her cottage. "I see.", Yoriichi says. "I've come to speak with you. Is that alright with you?", he asks her. "Of course. Please, come in.", (y/n) says giving him a small smile. (Y/n) leads him inside and points towards the table they sat at last time. "Sit. I make tea for us." Yoriichi nods and takes a seat. The boy followed them inside but he hides behind the doorframe to the living area. (Y/n) starts making tea and silence falls over the three of them. Yoriichi isn't sure whether it's a comfortable or uncomfortable silence. He feels awkward about what he has to say.
"Would you like some bread with jam? The bread is fresh out of the oven.", (y/n) asks. Yoriichi looks up and meets her gaze as she is turned to him with her upper body. "Sure, it already smells great." Suddenly the boy enters the room and hugs his mother's legs. "Do you also want some jam, (y/s/n)?", she asks him. The boy nods. (Y/n) strokes over the boy's head and the boy smiles, hugging her legs tighter. When he lets go of her, (y/n) walks back to the table with a tray. "Please, help yourself.", she says. The boy still stands awkwardly in the kitchen. She turns around and says: "You don't want to sit with us? That's alright. You can take your bread outside if you want to." The boy nods and walks to the table. (Y/n) hands him a piece of bread and he leaves through the backdoor.
"So, you've come to talk to me?", (y/n) attempts to start a conversation with the man in front of her. Yoriichi shifts awkwardly in his seat. "Yes," he begins, "I assume you're aware that my friends introduced me to you for a reason." "Of course," she answers, "After all, I asked him if he knows any kind men who are looking for a wife." Yoriichi nods. "Well, I am sorry to disappoint but I am not really looking for a wife." (Y/n) leans back into her seat. "So he told me. But I am sure he also told you I am not looking for a real husband either." "Yes," Yoriichi replies, "he explained your situation. However, I am not sure if I am fit for what you're looking for. I can't protect you." There's a sharp spark in (y/n)'s eyes. "I'm not sure I can follow." (y/n) says. "I've never said I wanted a husband for protection. I simply need a man in my household. In today's world, a woman living alone apparently is an open invitation for some people. A man simply living with her is enough to keep the unwanted company away." Yoriichi nods staring at the bread in front of him. It looks delicious. (Y/n) sighs. "My fiancée passed seven years ago, together with my sisters. At the end, I was only able to protect myself. I guess, I don't really need anyone's protection when it comes to a physical fight. So don't worry about this.", (y/n) concludes. "If we were to wed," Yoriichi tries to argue, "It would still be my responsibility to protect you." (Y/n) looks at him. "This wouldn't be a normal marriage, so normal rules and expectations wouldn't apply. When you can't fulfill your duty to protect me, I don't have to fulfill other wifely duties. It'd be fair and there are things I don't want to do with you anyways." Yoriichi gets what she's hinting at. "I wouldn't have asked that of you anyways," he points out, "I am not looking for someone to replace my deceased wife." He feels slightly insulted by her implications. (Y/n) nods. "Apologies. I didn't mean to assume things but it was important to me to get this out of the way first.", she explains. "Also, I don't want to replace my fiancée as well", she adds quickly. "So what you're looking for is...", Yoriichi pauses. "... is a simple arrangement. But your friend surely told you about this. It's not a secret I am simply looking for a marriage out of convenience." she ends his sentence. Yoriichi nods again but remains silent. (Y/n) sighs once again. "If this doesn't work for you, I take no offense. It's why we met up before making a decision."
Yorrichi remains silent for another minute. "Where would we live?", he asks her. "I would prefer to stay here but I am ready to accommodate." He's glad she says this. He wouldn't want her to sleep where Uta has slept. And maybe, he's tired of looking at the spot where Uta has died. "What about (y/s/n)?", he asks further. "You're welcome to take part in his life but you don't have any responsibilities. I only expect of you to show him respect and kindness.", she answers. He nods again. "You would continue your work as a healer?" "Yes, and you can come and go as your work requires you to.", she replies. "And you take care of the household?", he asks. "Yes, I will. I might need some help when it comes to repairs around the house or heavy lifting." "That's alright. I can help with anything you need. What else?", he continues. "Money.", she answers, "By law, after the marriage everything that's mine is yours and the other way around. Do you want to keep it like this or do you want to keep it separate?" Yoriichi shrugs and says: "It would make sense to put everything into one pot when it comes to bigger repairs or purchases. But I'm fine with both." (Y/n) nods. "I agree, as long as we both get a say in where we spend money on. I don't want a man who wants to have financial control over the household." Yoriichi straightens in his seat a bit. He gets where this is coming from. It's not easy being a woman these days. "Don't worry. With your business, you probably understand more about money things than me. I'd even be okay with you having control over things.", he concludes. (Y/n) looks content. "So, we have a deal?", she asks. Yoriichi ponders the question for a moment before answering.
"Yes, we have a deal."

It was a moment of peace.
Your partner and you enjoyed a rare warm autumn’s day, you sitting on the edge of the engawa and him laying down in your lap, his face turned to your tummy, letting the banner of dark hair hang over your knees. Light breeze gently swayed the tresses, tempting your hands to bury themselves into them instead of cradling your lover’s head.
Neither of you spoke as you soaked the comfort of each other’s presence.
The next time wind swept by, sun rays caught and scattered over the lighter shade of Yoriichi’s hair and the allure proved too great to resist. You couldn’t hold back any longer and you deftly untied the cord keeping his hair in a ponytail, letting it fall loose. If possible, Yoriichi seemed to relax even more as if the last bit of tension was released along with his hair.
“Your hair is so smooth… so beautiful,” you whispered as your fingers played with the dark fire gently. It was like handling live silk. You knew he didn’t do anything special with his hair, using the same soap and oils as you, yet it was much better quality than yours. It made you feel a little jealous of him, though that side was always placated by him.
Yoriichi hummed, pressing even closer to your stomach, nosing at the loose fabric and breathing in the scent of freshly washed laundry mixed with something uniquely you.
Your hands restless, you picked up a bit of his hair and started to braid it loosely, trying not to disturb his rest.
You always did this, he found, offering him respite and comfort, offering him a place to lay his head upon and relax. Your hands, slightly callused from labor and your past, protected him from his demons, should he dare say it.
Yoriichi had had so much misfortune happen to him, the losses of his past haunting him. He had much to mourn, many to grieve, but he could hardly lament meeting you.
Yoriichi felt alive when he breathed you in, when he reveled in your embrace. At times, he did think of his first wife, and child, but he couldn’t bring himself to regret falling for you.
Yes, it was true.
He had fallen in love with you.
You were the fortune in misfortune. He felt lucky when he was with you.
He opened his eyes slowly, looking up at you. Your eyes were focused on his hair as you played with it, calm yet bright; he felt he always discovered something new in them when he looked at you.
“Your eyes…” he murmured, bringing your attention to him. “Your eyes are like maps of old… I feel I could get lost in them if I’m not careful.”
His compliment prompted your cheeks to grow hot under his gaze. You felt the need to make him blush. “You’re like the sun then, because you bring me warmth and light up my world.”
A smile spread across his lips, yet no pink could be seen on his cheeks. Damn him. “If I am the sun, then you are my sky. I could not be if not in your presence.”
…Damn him.
You had no words, you could only hide your bashful grin behind your hand as you looked away from him, prompting Yoriichi to chuckle. “There is no need to be shy, my dearest sky,” he murmured, rolling over onto his back so he could look directly up at you.
Had he been standing up, his knees would grow weak, he just knew it - you were too beautiful for your own good. His feelings clawed up their way from his chest and out his throat under your comforting gaze.
“I love you.”
You finally glanced back to see his cheeks dusted with pink - for the only way to make it so was with the feelings you had for each other. “I love you too, my sun.”

New Year's Eve With the Tsugikuni Twins
You were invited to spend New Year's Eve and the next couple days with the Tsugikuni twins. You were a bit nervous, having been invited to stay multiple days with them. You didn't understand why you were nervous, because you had stayed overnight with them before on many occasions, but all those other times were spontaneous, not planned. That they planned to have you stay with them for a couple days made you wonder what they were planning.
When you got to their apartment that evening, the one to open the door and greet you was Michikatsu. (It was always Michikatsu to open the door for some reason, don't ask why.) But when you saw him, you were surprised to see that he was dressed in traditional clothes -- a lavender kimono and a dark purple haori. You had never seen Michikatsu dressed like that, and having just come in nice, but casual clothes, you felt out of place.
"Hello, y/n," he says with a smile.
"Michikatsu, was I supposed to --"
"No," he said and shook his head. He gestured for you to come in, so you did and took your shoes off.
You still felt strange and underdressed. Michikatsu could tell that you were uncomfortable. He can read you like a book. So, he came behind you and gave you a hug.
"Everything's fine. Don't worry," he said.
You nodded and said "okay". You knew that there was no point continuing to suggest that there was a problem, though you still felt out of place.
"Where's Yoriichi?" you then asked.
"He'll be ready soon," Michikatsu replied with a smile.
What's this? A smile from Michikatsu when asking about his brother? No raised eyebrow or arms folded across the chest in jealousy?
All right ... something was definitely up. But you didn't say anything and kept it all to yourself.
Michikatsu offered you something to drink so the two of you had some tea together in the kitchen. You were feeling less uncomfortable about yourself and more curious as to where Yoriichi was and what he was doing. And on top of that, Michikatsu looks so handsome and at peace with himself.
Suddenly, you hear a scream from Yoriichi and a bang from the other room. You immediately get up to see what is going on. Michikatsu sighs and follows you, shaking his head. When you get into the other room, you see that Yoriichi had tripped on a carpet while coming into the room from the hallway that leads to their bedrooms and the bathroom.
"Yoriichi, are you okay?" you ask him.
"Yoriichi, stop being so clumsy," Michikatsu says.
Yoriichi's face brightens up when he sees you. "Hi, y/n!" He gets up and brushes himself off. "I'm fine. Don't worry about me." He chuckles a little.
Yoriichi is also dressed in traditional clothes -- a beige kimono with a red haori.
"It's not good if you've forgotten how to walk, Yoriichi," Michikatsu says.
"I've been in a rush getting things together for y/n," Yoriichi says.
"For me?" you ask.
Michikatsu puts an arm around you. "Because you're staying a couple nights, we had to put some things in order," he says rather proudly. "We won't have you sleeping on the couch or on the floor like when you've stayed over other times."
"But if we're resting together in front of the TV and it happens, that's okay," Yoriichi chimes in with a smile.
Michikatsu ignores him. He clears his throat. "We have just two bedrooms, so I'll have to bear sleeping in a room with Yoriichi for the next nights so you can have your deserved privacy."
"Oh. Thanks." You're disappointed that the three of you won't be sleeping in a bed together, but you're not going to show it. You know that the twins are very modest, but it also means that they're very respectful and they care about you.
Michikatsu clears his throat again. "You'll be taking my room, y/n."
You start to blush.
Michikatsu smiles. "Both of us wanted you to have our room, so we had to do rock paper scissors and Yoriichi lost. So, you get my room."
"Yoriichi comes over, taking care not to trip over himself again. "It's fine. I know that Nii-san's room will be very welcoming." He gives you a kiss on the cheek, which makes you blush more. "But I had to arrange my room so that it'll be more suitable for Nii-san and I to share.""Yoriichi comes over, taking care not to trip over himself again. "It's fine. I know that Nii-san's room will be very welcoming." He gives you a kiss on the cheek, which makes you blush more. "But I had to arrange my room so that it'll be more suitable for Nii-san and I to share."
"Oh, okay," you say and smile.
"Yoriichi, what about the present for y/n?" Michikatsu asks.
Another present? You think. (They had just given you so much for Christmas, you couldn't possibly accept more gifts from them.)
"You really don't have to," you say, but then you see Yoriichi's face light up again.
"Oh, right! I forgot!" he exclaims and runs out of the room.
"Don't trip again!" Michikatsu calls after him. He glances at you while the two of you are alone, noticing your eyes waiting for Yoriichi to return. It annoys Michikatsu but he lets it go.
Yoriichi comes back with a kimono for you. If you're a man (or prefer mens' clothing), it's a light blue mens' kimono and also has a darker blue haori (you kind of match with Michikatsu, except his is purple). If you're a woman (or prefer womens' clothing), it's still light blue but with a crane and mountain pattern on it. You have an obi belt with silver trimming on it, and the dark blue haori to wear as well, so you are warmer.
"What do you think?" Yoriichi asks as he unfolds the garment to show you.
You're really touched. They couldn't have gone through all the trouble to get that for you!
"It's perfect!" you say with a big smile.
The twins are pleased that you are happy with their selection. Yoriichi has a big smile and a tinge of pink in his cheeks. Michikatsu is less obvious about his joy, but you can see in the softness of his eyes that inside he is just as giddy as his brother is.
"Should I put it on now?" you ask.
"Of course!" Yoriichi answers. "Nii-san and I will help you get dressed, too."
"If you don't mind," Michikatsu adds.
The two of them are going to help you get dressed? Well, you're obviously happy about that, though you might be a bit shy about your body. But there's nothing to worry about, they've both hugged you at your body before, and you've snuggled next to the twins and slept with them. Even if they haven't seen everything before, they've felt it, and you trust that they are going to be respectful.
Besides, you don't know how to put on a kimono yourself, and you would need someone to help so that you do it properly.
So, you agree to them helping you. There is a special kind of undergarment you have to wear with a kimono, so Yoriichi gives that to you. He and Michikatsu compete in trying to explain how to use it, and even though it's a bit puzzling hearing two voices talking to you at once, you understand their instructions. They tell you to change into it in the bathroom and they will wait for you. So, you do. When you come out, Yoriichi is praising you for putting on the garment correctly, while Michikatsu is checking to make sure that no mistakes have been made. (He's really just being a simp and thinking that he's doing it in a subtle way, but you know that.)
They then dress you, explaining to you what they are doing. Perhaps they expect you to remember how to do it yourself the next time, or maybe they are just competing again on who can give the most information. You aren't really listening to them, to be honest. You're enjoying the moment of having two handsome men dress you up, and you're noticing their gentle touches, not their words.
By the way, Yoriichi is much calmer about this than Michikatsu. Michikatsu is a blushing mess being so close to you, but don't tell him, because he'll deny it. He blushes in his ears, too, and it's adorable.
When you're dressed, Michikatsu needs to get a drink of water. Yoriichi snickers to himself and the two of you wait for him, talking about what you did earlier that day. It's typical small talk, but Yoriichi is actually earnestly interested in your daily life. When Michikatsu is back (and with his standard complexion), the three of you leave.
The twins are going to take you to a restaurant so that you can try all the dishes usually eaten in Japan for New Year's. You ask them why they didn't cook it themselves, since they are both such good chefs.
Yoriichi laughs. "We were a bit lazy. This whole idea came just a few days ago, after Christmas, so we prioritised getting you your kimono."
"Besides, we do like to leave that apartment sometimes," Michikatsu adds and clears his throat.
The twins don't go out much. They usually eat at home, except for the lunch they have during their work days. Instead of paying money to go to clubs (this is an apocalypse for them -- Yoriichi would faint and Michikatsu would hide in a corner) or to the theatre, they spend their money on their Netflix subscription and video games. They are both incredibly introverted and private people. It's astonishing that you were able to become such good friends with them.
How did you charm these two, anyway?
Who knows. But you certainly did, which is why you walk to the restaurant sandwiched between the twins, each of your arms holding one of theirs.
The time at the restaurant is very pleasant. Michikatsu had done all the planning and made the reservation. He got you a table in the corner, which felt pretty private compared to the other table choices in the restaurant. The food was delicious, and you were really glad that they brought you to try everything. It must have been easier for them, too, not having to cook and prepare the meal.
The only trouble that came is that Michikatsu likes to steal food from other's plates (you are not spared), and Yoriichi gets angry at this. But it's all fine. You're used to it, because he does it when you eat at their apartment, too.
Michi, why can't you just keep your hands to your own food?
But what kept the meal especially in order is that none of you drank too much alcohol. Each of you (even Michikatsu, who tends to drink too much) just had one drink.
A/N: I really have to apologise to Michikatsu. I'm making fun of him a lot here. I love you, Michi.
You thought it was because the twins didn't want to get tipsy in public (this is true, and it is part of it), but after you were finished eating, you found out that it's because they are going to go to a temple after. This was part of the reason for their clothing choices, too, even if it isn't required to wear traditional clothes to a temple or shrine.
"Our mother was very religious when she was still alive," Michikatsu explains to you as you make your way to the temple Yoriichi chose to go to. "Yoriichi was very close to her, so these kinds of things are important to him. For me, it's a matter of tradition, but I'm not religious."
"Oh, I see," you say.
You're worried about stumbling and accidentally doing something disrespectful.
Michikatsu smiles at you. "It's fine. I'll guide you through. Yoriichi will be concentrating because it is a religious act for him, so leave it to me."
He's really proud of being able to be the one to guide you through and is glad that Yoriichi is basically unavailable. He explained the custom to you in more detail -- it's called joya-no-kane and it's a sacred bell ringing ceremony. You ring the giant bells at the temple, wishing for good fortune in the New Year and to get rid of bad karma from the past one.
You had to wait in line at the temple to ring the bell. Luckily, it wasn't too long, or maybe it just felt like it wasn't too long because you were standing with Yoriichi in front of you and Michikatsu behind you. The twins behaved -- and so did you -- but Michikatsu would sometimes lean forward and whisper a comment in your ear.
When it was your turn, the three of you went up together. You were surprised at how serious Yoriichi was. He was praying very calmly and you could see on his face how important it was to him. After he rang the bell, you followed suit, saying a short prayer for yourself and ringing the bell. Michikatsu was the last to do the same, and you were glad that Yoriichi was still in his "zone" because Michikatsu looked rather bored doing the whole thing.
Naturally, after the dinner and the visit to the temple, both Michikatsu and Yoriichi had more than enough of their share of being around people, and they wanted to go back to the apartment. On the walk back, you found Yoriichi leaning his head against yours. He was so calming and pure.
"Psst. Yoriichi. No PDA," Michikatsu said under his breath.
"No one's looking, Nii-san," Yoriichi said.
"I don't want some old ladies to come over and lecture us, Yoriichi," Michikatsu said. "And you're setting a poor example for y/n."
Yoriichi sighs. "All right, Nii-san." He raises his head from your shoulder.
Once you get back to the apartment, though, Yoriichi is all over you. He's so glad that you came along and that he was able to share the evening with you. The three of you have some tea and snacks, and cuddle up on the couch to watch Netflix. Well, you and Yoriichi cuddle up together, while Michikatsu sits there holding your hand. He's willing to give some time with you to his brother (wow, Michikatsu is SHARING??) and besides, he's too mature to do a threesome cuddle.
But soon, you will be all his, because Yoriichi falls asleep with his head in your lap. It's precious. His mouth is open and he's breathing very softly. Meanwhile, you and Michikatsu are still awake, and that gets a certain thing on Michikatsu's mind *wink wink*.
"Y/n," Michikatsu says in a quiet tone so not to disturb Yoriichi. "Would you like to go to my bedroom together?"
A/N: Yes, that's a cliffhanger and yes I will be writing something very special with Michi <;3
I also apologise if I made any mistakes regarding Japanese culture when writing about the garments, New Year's in Japan, and the temple visit. If there are any corrections, please tell me and I will update the story accordingly.

I'm eager to see KNY's new season and bring more content from it to this blog in the future, but for now have this one. Hope you enjoy it and sorry for the delay 🥺😅

You didn’t know how long you stood there, in that silent exchange of looks that seemed to stop the curse of life. It could have been a minute, as much as it could have been an hour. During it, you almost forgot the blood, the pain and the deaths that just occurred, and your crushed heart finally had a moment to rest.
The enchantment was broken when the stranger took the first step towards a direct interaction: he bent down, leaning one knee on the snow, so close that you could hear his breath and the breeze moving the pair of hanafuda earrings he styled. Your eyes widened with the proximity, and you let out a surprised “Oh!” when he raised his hands and touched your shoulders. His touch was warm and soft, and your sensed your body relaxing under it.
The first words said between you were his.
- I apologize for not arriving earlier – and after a pause – What is your name?
A gentle but firm voice, one that fitted the owner. There was something in it that made it difficult for you to deny a reply, so you spoke despite your exhaustion.
- Y/n, Sir.
He nodded.
- Y/n-san, I am Yoriichi Tsugikuni. You do not need to worry. There are no other demons on the surroundings – and with a soft squeeze on your shoulders, – No one is going to harm you now.
You didn’t know that man and had no reasons to trust him, yet you shook your head in agreement, for his tone left no doubts about his honesty. In fact, just hearing his voice after all the depraved noises of the demons was like a purification ritual to your ears, and you sensed that you could stay there and listen to him forever if your circumstances were less worrying.
Suddenly, you remembered the woman and her child.
- Yoriichi-san, there were two people I helped moments ago! They were…
You glanced behind, trying to find the exact path taken by them, but a throbbing ache hit your torso and you interrupted yourself with a whimper. You curled upon your body and were going to fall on the cold ground, but the man, Yoriichi, held you in time.
- I know – he replied in a comforting manner – I met them on my way here. They reached their home, and are safe now. The woman pointed this clearing’s direction. It was not so hard to find it, because those Oni were reckless enough to leave traces of their passage all over the way.
- But...
- That’s okay – he put his hand over yours, hiding the blood stain – For now, we have to take care of this injury.
Contradicting him was silly. You silently thanked heavens for the woman and the child’s well-being and tried to focus on your own situation.
And then you had a new surprise regarding the man’s actions: he didn’t make any gesture towards uncovering the injury’s spot to see its real aspect; instead, he just took your hand off it and looked at it, examining it as if he was seeing your bare skin. You waited in silence, not wanting to interrupt the process nor knowing how to question the gravity of the case.
Soon he came with a conclusion.
- It is not so deep, despite being a large cut. Still, it needs to be cleaned and bandaged as soon as possible. It was made by an Oni, wasn’t it?
You nodded, but didn’t say a word. You lowered your eyes to the ground, praying for him to not question you about the Oni or the fight, at least for now. He might have sensed your uneasiness and didn’t extend the conversation.
He took the axe, long forgotten among the snow, and gave it back to you, holding its base with both hands as if it was a sword newly made by the smith.
- I believe this is what you used to save those people. Do not miss it.
You took it from him, at first with hesitation, but the encouragement implied in his words made your own hands firm again, and your fingers clenched around the object with renewed strength. Of course you could never miss that object; it was now the only thing you had to remember your brother.
- You cannot stay here with this injury – Yoriichi stated – Come with me. Let me help you.
Without waiting for a reply, he approached and took you in his arms; somehow, the gesture was so quick that you didn’t even have time to startle. You placed the axe between your arms and allowed your body to rest.
Somehow you were not impressed with how easy it was for him to take you from the ground: his physical constitution and fluid clothing were deceiving for unobservant eyes, but after what you saw you knew there were few who were as strong as him in the world. Not only this, but he was also incredibly fast: in a moment, you were still being lifted from the ground; in the next one, you were being carried among bushes and dead trees, the moonlight above alternating with the darkness as you two passed under the branches.
After what felt like a few minutes, you noticed you were no longer feeling cold: your fingers lost the numbness from the weather when you curled them around the axe, and the chills on your limbs disappeared. If you thought you were looking at the sun while seeing him from a distance, now you sensed you were under its light on a summer morning.
You remembered falling asleep listening to his heart beats, which were, you realized, as fast as his feet.
***
Your ears seemed to wake up before your eyes that time. You heard a sequence of curious, small sounds in a space that you thought to be limited by walls, as if a pair of diligent hands were finishing some simple, yet delicate task.
The sensation of warmth was still there, but you were not being carried anymore. Now you were lying on a soft surface, and had a sheet over your body. You tried to move a bit, to test your current strength, and found out you were able of turning on your side, but not without an ache; you remembered the injury and went back to your previous position.
When you finally opened your eyes, you saw that your supposition that you were inside a room was correct. You were lying on a futon and a white sheet was covering you to your waist’s height. You were dressed in your old clothes, but your haori and your scarf were taken off, perhaps to your own comfort; you looked ahead, to your feet, and saw them folded and placed on the edge of the mattress. Your boots were close to them as well.
You looked around and found Yoriichi with his back turned on you, kneeling before what looked like a bowl full of water. He seemed to be washing something in it, so concentrated in his work that he didn’t turn around when you woke up.
You leaned your elbows on the mattress, trying to sit, and noticed the task was harder than it was supposed to be: the fight has taken more from you than you first imagined. You were determined to not let this bring you down, but when the injury started hurting again, the sensation was so unbearable that you were forced to give up and lie again with a moan.
It was when the man left his task with the bowl and turned to you, showing that he was in fact listening.
He dried his hands on a towel near the bowl and came to your futon. When he knelt beside you, the first thing you noticed was the dark mark he had on his forehead. It was hard to tell if it was a birth mark or a scar, but you didn’t think of it while looking at it: more than anything, it reminded you of dancing flames.
- Please, be careful – he was whispering, helping you to your previous place – This cut is not the only thing you have to worry about.
He moved the sheet to check on the injury and sighed in relief when he saw it didn’t open. You remembered when he examined it in the forest and questioned him about it.
To your surprise, Yoriichi showed some embarrassment towards it.
- It is something I can do since I was a child – he covered you with the sheet again – It is useful in situations like that, where I could not expose your skin to the weather without the risk of making you catch a fever, at least one that could be worse than this.
He put his palm on your forehead to measure your temperature. So you indeed caught a fever: that explained the strange sensation you noticed since you woke up.
The man spent a moment in silence after moving his hand away from you. You didn’t try to speak during this time, both because you were too tired to engage in a conversation and because you sensed a need for quietness from his part: you didn’t know him so well, but it was clear that he had something in mind, the kind of thing one would measure before sharing with others. Again, time seemed to stop for you, and maybe it was some strange effect of the fever or the injuries, but you had the impression that the bright in his eyes – that you noticed to be of a reddish shade, not so different from his hair – diminished, like the last flames burning out inside a lamp. Like he was looking inside himself, oblivious to the world and you.
You only noticed the heavy silence surrounding the room when Yoriichi broke it with a second relieved sigh, almost as if he just woke up from some dream.
- Well, well, I guess everything is going to be alright – he displayed a gentle smile – We have no Oni around here, and your condition will improve after medicine and appropriate rest.
You nodded, but said no word in response. Part of you were questioning what just happened there, and the other part couldn’t shake the feeling that he was hiding something: he just fought a bunch of powerful demons with no struggle, and was now speaking of them like they were the object of his studies… or his prey. Was he some sort of demon hunter? Was he a traveler who somehow learned how to hold a sword? No, it couldn’t be: you knew about some samurai who weren’t able to do what he did in the forest. Was he some sort of superior knight, then? It was possible. Should you question him about this? Well, you doubted that he would tell anything, at least not until you recovered.
You might have been quiet for too long, or been too focused on your own deliberations that it leaked through your face, for you were brought back by a giggle from him.
You blinked twice and looked at him, confused.
- Oh… what happened, Yoriichi-san?
- Ah, it’s nothing – he gave you the same gentle smile of before, and for a moment you thought you saw him blushing – I suppose you have many questions. I will answer what I can, but I hope you understand that this is not the best moment. You went through many things in so little time. For now, all you need is a good rest.
A tightness reached your throat when you heard those words. Your lips started trembling, but not because of cold. That empathy in his voice, the wisdom in his demeanor and the maturity in his speech that would calm down any hint of desperation and put everything in its place – you’ve experienced all of that before.
Those were your brother’s manners.
Before you realized what you were doing, you were already turned on your side, curled over yourself, crying out loud, your cracked voice calling for your Onii-chan between your sobs. But was that worthy? What would you gain for recognizing his traits in other people when he was no longer there? Would you always hurt yourself that way? You were alone now. Accepting that was the best you could do...
A soft hand touched your shoulder and stayed there until your breath came back to its normal pace. You had your eyes closed, but you sensed Yoriichi’s voice near you, and a warmth indicating that he bent over you to speak.
And what he said shook the pain out of your heart in the least expected manner.
- My brother… he turned into a demon too.
You raised your eyes to him, your tears blurring the sight of his face.
- Your… brother?
He nodded.
- He was my twin. I used to love him since we were children – he straightened up again; and with a sigh, – I believe I still do, even though the creature that’s out there wearing his face is no longer him, but something else.
With a quiet sob, you wiped the tears from your cheeks.
- What is his name?
- Michikatsu. This is how he was called as a human. Today, he has a different name.
- Which name?
Yoriichi spent a second staring at you, perhaps surprised with your sudden curiosity. You bit your lip with embarrassment, but didn’t have time to apologize for the intrusion, for he quickly decided that the conversation was over.
- I am sorry for speaking this much when you have to rest – he smiled and stood up – Try to sleep for a little more. I will come back with some food.
***
When you woke up again, with the fever almost leaving you and much more disposition despite the always present ache on your side, you recognized the wisdom of following Yoriichi’s instructions and took some time to rest. After that, you were able to sit (with help) and hold the steamy bowl and the hashi that he offered you. The man sat beside your futon and after a quiet itadakimasu, you both enjoyed the late dinner.
The reasons for him to insist in your rest were not limited to the physical, of course. He has already stated that there were things you had to discuss, things that couldn’t be ignored even if the creature you cried for was not your brother. That you knew for certain: one’s heart could never remain the same after what you saw.
Yoriichi took the empty bowls and the hashi to another place behind a curtain hanging on the wall behind your spot, certainly the house’s kitchen, from where you heard the sounds of running water and the clink of the bowls inside a sink. After a moment, the sounds stopped and your host was back to your side.
He placed himself on the floor with his legs crossed in the lotus position, not seeming bothered by its cold or harshness. That reminded you again of his apparent untouchability by the environment.
Your first question was about the flames he summoned during the fight.
- Allow me to say that it is an impressive ability, Yoriichi-san. Any description from my part would never make it justice – you laid your hands on your lap, your fingers entwined – How do you call it?
For the second time, you noticed the blush coming up to his face. Such modesty coming from the man who displayed that amount of power was as impressive as the power itself, you thought. But he didn’t deny you an answer.
- It is a Breathing Style, created by me. It is called Sun Breathing.
Breathing Style? You’ve never heard of it. Was it some sort of combat form?
- A Breathing Style is a fight technique developed specifically to be used against Oni – Yoriichi explained – I tried to teach the Sun Breathing to others, but none of my students were able to master it. However, they managed to create their own Styles, adapted to their physical constitution and talents.
The man told you about some of the most powerful Breathing Styles and their users, as well as the demons they fought. All the stories were fascinating.
But they had you thinking.
- I wonder if any of those demons... ever resembled my brother.
A moment of silence followed your question, interrupted by Yoriichi, who had a request instead of an answer.
- Y/n-san, can you tell me about your brother?
Your eyes widened a little.
- What do you want to know about him, Yoriich-san?
- Everything you can tell – he smiled – Your love for him is more than clear. Talking about him must be good for you.
He was rights. If you had to carry on without your beloved brother, you must choose well what to take with you, and what could be better than your dearest memories with him?
You decided to share them with your host. And for the first time in weeks, you saw yourself able to smile.
- Onii-chan… was the wisest and the kindest person I can think of – you folded your knees under the sheet and surrounded them with your arms – We both had to be wise, of course, but he always felt like this should be his responsibility, for he was the first child. And being an example to his sibling while being gentle and honest in a world that would show no mercy on two helpless orphans was the bravest thing he has ever done. In my own way, I always wanted to be like him. You know, our life has been hard since I can remember. Our parents were poor and died when we were young. We had no one but each other. We never had a proper home. We were always moving from one place to another. He used to work in the forests, like our father did; that axe belonged to him. I used to clean and do other house works for people, still Onii-chan taught me how to use the axe. At the end of the day, we were exhausted and haven’t made much money, but we had food, clothes for winter and each other. And as long as we were together, we would be happy.
You told Yoriichi about the difficult roads you had to follow while traveling from village to village and from town to town, the way you would share your tasks, the games you would play and jokes you would tell, making each other laugh until your ribs started aching, and how you would have long talks that would go from evening to past midnight, even when you would have to wake up early.
You sensed that tightness on your throat coming back, but you had to keep speaking. You had to take that out of you.
- Onii-chan and I… We were just one – you bit your lower lip – We never made any promise, but we knew that wherever one would go, the other would just follow them. So when that happened… I had no choice…
Your voice disappeared, alongside with your vision behind the tears.
- I could never leave my brother after what happened to him! I could never turn my back on him knowing that he would hurt people, he who taught me all forms of kindness! – you took a deep breath, your hands clenching around the sheet – So I did what I had to do… I followed him during the nights and watched his hideouts during the days… I carried the axe with me and swore that if he tried to hurt someone… I would stop him…
There was nothing more that you could say through words, so you let the tears speak. You didn’t know for how long you cried, but you only stopped when you thought it was enough. You forced yourself to smile while wiping out the tears, your cheeks hot and clinging under your palms.
- I apologize for this scene, Yoriichi-san – you sighed – And for taking so much from your time with my grieving.
Yoriichi, all this time listening to your story in silence, didn’t show any sign of impatience or irritation. Instead, you’ve read in his eyes the same solicitous understanding of before, now in a new, deeper stage. You remembered his tears when he met you in the clearing and his words about his brother – he turned into a demon too – and the reason for that was clear.
That moment you knew: no one would ever understand you as him.
- There is nothing to apologize for, y/n-san – he assured you in his warmest tone – Meeting your brother through your words was a privilege to me.
Your eyes widened.
- Yoriichi-san…
- You wanted to know if there were other Oni that resembled your brother – he continued – Maybe the answer is yes. Your brother, my brother, the Oni you’ve seen in the forest and the others that walk on this world – all of them were once people like us. Sacred lives with stories yet to be told, emotions yet to be felt, goals yet to be reached. What they became, what was made of them… it is unforgivable.
Unforgivable. Though his tone didn’t alter when he spoke it, this last word ringed in your ears as a sentence of death. You were realizing that there was more about the demons and the Breathing Styles that you first supposed, things that you had the right to know after what happened to your family.
- So… there is something responsible for this.
- Not something. Someone.
The categorical reply made you bent over to hear, scared of what you were about to discover, yet eager for it.
- Someone? Who?
- A demon with the face of a man – your host’s eyes glimmered with a new flame, one of wrath and disgust – One that calls himself Muzan Kibutsuji.
What Yoriichi told you after that would sound unbelievable if you haven’t seen those things in the forest. According to him, this individual, Muzan, was the first Oni to ever exist, and has been in this world for an unnatural amount of time, turning countless humans into demons that would remain under his control in a mental and physical sense, with very rare exceptions. It was unnecessary to explain how little he thought of human life, with no concern for their bodies or dignity.
When you thought of what that meant, a disturbing conclusion took place in your mind.
- So, what happened to my brother and to yours…
You raised your eyes to Yoriichi and read the silent confirmation in his eyes.
- He is the person who keeps this wheel turning – his clenched his fists – To stop the birth of the demons and put an end to their loved ones’ suffering, finding Muzan is crucial.
Finding the man who turned your dear brother into a monster… or, as you would rather say, finding the monster who turned your brother into something like him, wasn’t something to think of. It was something to do. You didn’t waste time in incredulity or considerations in this sense: someone who had lost everything shouldn’t have this luxury.
It wasn’t desperation what you felt, nor it was anger. It was more of a need to react, a determination that couldn’t be contained by your hardest efforts, but would submit to your management, which wasn’t so different from other experiences you had in your short, difficult life.
You couldn’t stay there crying. You had work to do.
- Yoriichi-san…
- Yes?
- I just saved two lives in the forest, and then you saved mine. I will be forever grateful for this... but being grateful is not enough.
You raised your right hand, offering it to him with its palm turned up.
- I want this cycle to carry on. I want to stop the wheel from turning and save as many lives as I can. This is the best I can do, for Onii-chan and myself. Would you help me this second time, accepting me as your apprentice?
With no delay, the demon slayer raised his own hand and took yours in it, surrounding it with warmth and strength, and you, despite the tiredness and the injury, sensed yourself revive, as a new birth. The red in his eyes was glimmering again, and the sun in his earrings sparkled with the nod of his head.
- You already have the axe – he stated, the firmness in his hand growing around yours – I will lead you to the demon’s neck.

● When you get hurt, Kokushibo’s words can be very brutal, but he still loves you, hepromises.
● Don’t let his intimidating looks fool you.
● Even a man like him can fall head over heels.
● Kokushibo tends to have a hard time expressing his love for you.
● He tries his best, though.
● Some days you’ll be surprised with fresh flowers, but don’t mention it to him; he doesn’t like speaking about such things.
● Believe it or not, he enjoys cooking and is very skilled at it.
● Kokushibo likes to cook for you most nights as a token of his appreciation for you.
● If you compliment his cooking, his love for you immediately deepens.
● During the night, you both start out facing each other but not touching.
● As the hours go on, he’ll wrap you in his arms.
● Good luck escaping his strong hold each morning; it’s impossible.
● Around the upper moons, not much PDA is shown, but he made sure that everyone knew you were his, especially Douma.
● Nobody dares test Kokushibo or meddle with things that are his.
● He could take care of a problem in the blink of an eye.
● You were more than safe around him.
● Although being with Kokushibo can get hard at times, he loves you with his entire being.
● Kokushibo will be yours forever and always.

Velvety red wine hues that lovingly stared deep into yours already communicated the long kept confession. Fluffy royal red hair tickling both sides of your face. A good amount of his perfume feeding your nose. It was a mixture of plum and faint vanilla.
You closed your eyes in anticipation of what was to come. Placing his soft thumb onto your lower lip and gently pushing it downwards only for it to pop back up again. Such a small detail made the flame in this reincarnation of the sun burn brighter.
Leaning in to capture those pretty lips with his own, pleasure and satisfaction shot through both your bodies like electricity. You felt his hands hold your waist and pull you in, your hands slowly trailing upwards feeling his broad chest.
The kiss led to your body temperature rising. It felt hot all around, how could you handle such heat. Honey, you had guts to close in and allow your lips to meet the sun and expect it not to burn you.
Fortunately you are his equal, the burning Sun God needs a Goddess to absorb and reflect his heat and light. In a heartbeat you'd trade anything for just a little burn.
Bon Appétit!

I actually respect people who are honest about it. Yoriichi's a great guy, its nice to see people like you who appreciate him like this. So hope you like the little something l put together for you❤️. If not, I'll still understand your opinion 😊😊...

I would do it again.

Plot: you were married to Yoriichi. You loved him, you really did, but your relationship grew colder as he had to spend months away from you for work. No calls, no texts, no chances to meet up somewhere. You were on your lowest when his brother, Kokushibo, showed up at your place. He told you he was going to stay for a while and that you would have not even noticed his presence around. However, loneliness and the twisted desire of taking a bite from the forbidden fruit brought you two together. Your secret, sinful affaire did not stop when Yoriichi returned. You got pregnant and you knew who the father was. Kokushibo left then, not forgetting about you and the child his brother would have claimed as his. He had taken his little satisfaction over him, he had you and your heart, no matter what.
﹏﹏﹏﹏﹏﹏﹏﹏﹏﹏﹏﹏﹏﹏﹏﹏﹏﹏﹏﹏
Three months. You had no idea of where he was. You knew right from the start it would have been hard, but you did not expect to spend your whole life without him. He did not call you even once a week. Nor texts, neither letters, nothing. Whenever he had to leave, it felt like you had never even married him. He always said it was necessary, claiming he did it because he wanted to keep you safe. At what cost, though? If it was not a bullet through your head, it was his absence killing you instead.
You missed him. You still loved him and, apparently, he did too. It was absurd how he could act as a loving husband around you and then turn into a cold-hearted man you barely recognized, as soon as drove off to the airport.
“Fuck it…” you muttered, downing the third shot of vodka you had poured yourself to forget about the broken heart in your chest. You could not do this anymore, you knew it. Your house was too big for you to live in it alone. You clutched the fabric of one of shirt in your hands, sinking your nose into it in search for any trace of his existence. The creased item still smelled strongly of his favorite perfume.
It was not healthy.
You sobbed, curling yourself up in a ball on the couch and cursed yourself for having fallen in love with him at college. How could you not love him, though? He was the most handsome, brilliant, shy and kind person you had ever met in your life. Your hearts matched. He was the missing piece you had been searching for since you were born. Where was he now, then?
To snap you out of your stream of consciousness was someone knocking on the front door. Could it have been Yoriichi? You scoffed, wiping away your tears with the hem of your sweater as you reminded yourself that he would have never knocked. He had the keys, he always unlocked the door himself.
You still had to wait to see his face again.
You hopped down from the couch, your bare feet touching the cold floor as you sneakily made your way to the kitchen and grabbed a knife, just in case you had to defend yourself. What if Yoriichi was right? What if it was someone who wanted to hurt you, to hurt him? What if they had found you? You heart thrummed in your chest as you approached the front door, your grip on the hilt of the knife tightening.
“Y/N, are you home? It’s me… Kokushibo” the deep, hoarse voice of your husband’s twin pierced your ears.
Michikatsu. It had been two years since you last saw him. Just like your husband, he lived a life of danger, anonymity. Maybe it was even worse than Yoriichi’s one. He had to change his name for it. What did he want from you now, in the middle of the night?
You unlocked the door, dropping your hand still holding the weapon down your side and your droopy, puffy eyes met his maroon ones. There he was, Koksuhibo, the stolid Tsugikuni twin, the opposite of your husband. He stood on the porch, a luggage at his feet and a black raincoat embracing his slender, yet muscular frame perfectly. He held no sympathy in his eyes as he stared back at you. His eyes scanned your face attentively, then travelled down your body and you frowned at the way he averted his eyes from you.
You were about to ask him what was wrong, when the cold winter breeze made you realize how inappropriate your attire was. Your legs were completely exposed to the icy air, to his gaze. The blue, oversized sweater you were wearing only reached the middle of your thighs and your cheeks flushed up as you stepped behind the door and gestured for him to enter.
“Hi” you feebly said, as he picked up his heavy luggage and crossed the threshold.
“Did I wake you up?” he asked, taking a look around the silent, dark living room. It was oddly tidy. It looked almost if no one lived in here. Except for the coffee table in front of the couch. Photographs, empty bottles of liquors and an half-eaten meal laid on it.
You sniffed, closing the door behind you and weakly shook your head “No, I could not sleep – you whispered, eyes downcast not to meet his gaze – What brings you here?” you asked him, walking over to the counter and throwing the knife into the sink.
“I need a place to stay for a while. Don’t worry, you are going to forget I am even here – he stated, taking his black leather gloves off – Where’s he?”.
He. Right, how could you forget the rivalry between them? It was one-sided, yet evident. You had tried to ask your husband about it, but all he said was that Kokushibo had a serious inferiority complex. It was not much of an answer and you were sure there was more about it that Yoriichi did not feel like talking about, or share. Not even with you.
“He’s left three months ago. I haven’t heard from him since then” you quipped, walking past him to slump back into your couch. However, your unexpected visitor had other plans for you.
You felt his hand wrap around your wrist in a iron-grip and you were forced to halt. You could feel his intense gaze boring holes on the back of your head and gulped down, waiting for him to speak again and allow you to slip back into your catatonic loop of saddness, fear and loneliness. A self-destructing coping mechanism, indeed.
“How’re you, Y/N?” he inquired, making your breath hitch into your throat.
“I’m fine”.
“My brother might be blind, but I am not. What the fuck are you doing?” he asked again, swinging you around roughly. You hissed, wriggling your arm in his grip as your eyes met his ones for a split second. He seemed genuinely concerned about you.
How did he notice it in five minutes? How could he see your pain, when your husband did not?
“I’m going on, let me go” you blurted out, opting for keeping the eye-contact with him. Fighting was pointless. He was shamelessly strong and stubborn. There was no way in the world he would have let you go. Not until you had dignified him with a proper answer, at least.
“Drinking and crying yourself to sleep is not the answer. You are hurting yourself” he sternly replied, tugging you closer to him until you almost bumped against his broaded chest.
His cologne, God, his strong cologne pierced your nostrils in the same alluring way your husband’s one did in the past. That was another reminder for you of how distant you two had become: your sex drive had totally died out. He did not touch you, he did not worship your body as he used to when you got married. No.
You missed the physical contact you had with him.
And you cursed yourself for the way you were feeling now, under Kokushibo’s touch. It was immoral, wrong. You were ashamed of yourself. Then again, you were half-drunk, tired, drained. Could you really blame yourself for it?
“Why do you care about it, huh? It’s not your problem! You never gave a damn about me!” you snapped, swallowing the lump in your throat preventing you to properly breathe.
He tensed, his lips reduced to a thin-line at your harsh words “Because it should have been me. You should have married me, not him” he bitterly retorted, darting his hooded eyes down on your writhing frame.
You parted your lips in disbelief, tears welling up in your eyes as you banged the fist of your free hand against his chest in frustration. Why? Why did he have to say that? Why was he playing with you again? What was he talking about? He never showed interest in you.
“How dare you? Shut up, just leave! Were you not supposed to make me forget you are here? Let me be, let me–…” you yelled at his face, but you never finished the sentence.
Before you could vomit your anger on him, your back hit the wall behind you, the air knocked out of your lungs for a second, as his lips connected with yours in a fiery, fervent kiss. Your eyes grew round as his tongue brushed over your lower lip to ask for the permission to enter your mouth. You wanted to deny it, but your body craved it. You craved him, you craved the warmth of a body over yours.
You craved love and he was providing you it.
You returned the kiss with equal passion, your hands cupping his smooth cheeks as you hoisted your leg over his hip to pull him closer. He grunted in your mouth, one of his hands caressing the bare skin of your thigh as he grounded his groin down onto yours. A throaty moan fell from your lips as he repeated the action and his mouth assaulted your neck.
You did not care about the marks he was leaving behind him, on your once flawless skin. They would have faded sooner or later and, surely, your husband would have never known about them. He was not there. He was not coming back for a long time.
“What are we— Argh! What are we doing?” you breathed out, fumbling with the buttons of his raincoat and helping him to take it off.
He discarded it carelessly behind him on the floor, hooking his hands underneath your thighs and picking you up effortlessly. You gasped, wrapping your legs around his waist instinctively as he made his way to your bedroom.
How many times you had walked down that corridor, hoping in vain that your husband would have joined you and showered you in affection between the untouched bedsheets of your bed. You remembered the fire within his eyes, back when you got married, when he made you feel on cloud nine. Where was that fire now? It had died out.
“I’m doing exactly what I had to do ages ago” Kokushibo uttered, between hot kisses as he let you down onto the bed and carefully crawled on top of you. You trembled, your hands reaching up to tear his shirt open. The buttons flew across the room, lost forever under the bed, as your eyes contemplated his chiseled body. He was deadly handsome. You blushed and Kokushibo stroked your cheek, half-lidded eyes soaking in your features barely enlightened by the dim moonlight seeping through the courtains.
You were so beautiful. How could that bastard not see it? How could he let you crumble down like that?
He got rid of his shirt and he grasped your hand, leading it to lay flat onto his chest “You can touch me, Y/N” he murmured, watching you bite down your lower lip softly, probably still trying to ponder if what you were doing was right or wrong. You were cheating on your husband, you were stabbing his back by fucking his brother in your bedroom, on your shared bed.
On the same bed where you had told him you loved him.
“Michikatsu…” you called his name, making the man’s eyes widen even so slightly as you said his real name. No one had done it in years. No one had ever whispered it so sweetly, so lovingly. He knew you were different. You had never insulted him, you had never hurt him.
You were supposed to be his right from the start. He would have treated you better, he would have loved you better.
“Make love to me” you added, staring deep into his shimmering eyes. You wanted it, you trusted him, you were willing to nurture this new spark between you two. Could you forgive yourself for it in the future?
He did not reply, his fingers slipped between the waistband of your panties, dragging them down your legs and exposing your aching cunt to his vicious eyes. You felt embarrassed. No man, except for your husband, had seen you naked in a long time. The idea of displaying your wet folds to Yoriichi’s brother sent shivers down your spine.
He did not waste time in dipping his fingers into you. He groaned at the way they slipped into your core smoothly, effortlessly. You were made for him. Your mouth hanged open, your back arching as he pumped his colloused digits in and out of you at a regular pace. The pleasure engulfing your stomach could not be compared to the small amount you felt when you touched yourself on Yoriichi. It was defferent, on another level. Kokushibo knew perfectly what you needed. You moaned out his name as he added a third finger, curling them into you to stimulate your spongy walls.
“M-More. Michikatsu, please— Give me more” you pleaded him, craning your neck in ecstasy.
His eyes clouded over in lust as he pulled his fingers out of you and suddenly flipped you over on your stomach, hastily unbuckling the belt of his trousers. You heard him unzipping them and before you knew it he had his hands on your hips, roughly pulling them up to assure himself a better access to your pussy. You closed your eyes, a yelp leaving your swollen lips when he smacked your ass and dragged the tip of his shaft along your folds to collect some juices. You could tell he was big, maybe even bigger than Yoriichi and it only meant one thing: it would have hurt, especially after a long period of not welcoming a cock between your walls.
“Be a good girl for me, Y/N. – he cooed, pressing the tip of his length to your entrance – Act like you’re my wife, as you should’ve been right from the start” he added, before slowly pushing past your folds. He grunted at the way your walls squeezed him tightly and he clenched his teeth not to bottom out completly with one thrust.
You writhed beaneath him, whimpers of pain and pleasure mixing together on your tongue as he conquered more inches, until he gave you one last hard thrust and you felt your ass pressing up against his navel.
He stayed still a minute, maybe two, to give you enough time to adjust to his massive size, drawing soothing circles on your back to make you relax. Your cheek was pressed down onto the pillow, your back arched to a painful angle, but it did not matter. It was worthy.
He gave you no warning as he started thrusting into your from behind, the sound of his thighs slapping your ass as he slammed you down into him was vulgar, lewd, shameful. But the unholy mantra you chanted as he filled you up, as he stretched you out until you were loose enough for his girth was heavenly.
“Michikatsu!” you cried out, the pressure coiling into your stomach was unbearable as he picked up the place and his hands left marks onto the soft flesh of your hips.
You could not hold on anymore. Your walls clamped down his cock as you reached your orgasm, milking his cock. Your breath was uneven, your mind fuzzy as he grabbed you by the back of your neck and pulled you up, until his lips brushed against the shell of your ear.
“I’ll fucking cum inside you. I’ll fuck a baby into you, Y/N. You are mine. He has no more rights over you” he rasped, giving you a few sloppy thrusts before he released his seed into you. You did not protest. Your silent consent screamed out his name as you both collapsed onto the bed, out of breath.
It did not stop that night. For two months he fucked you everyday, making sure his seed did not leaked out of your hole. He was loving out of bed, a beast into the sheets. You grew to love the taste of his cum, when you knelt between his legs and bobbed your head up and down his dick. You started to love him, in the same wicked way that he loved you.
Everywhere you looked around the house, you could picture him taking you in any possible position. You straddled him on the couch, he bent you over the counter in the kitchen, he had you held up against the wall in the shower. He had owned you in every way you vould have ever imagined.
After another month of being away, Yoriichi finally came back. Surprisingly, he did not take notice of the way his brother looked at you, or how your skin smelled like him most of the times. He was just happy to be reunited with his wife and how could you deny him the affection you had longed for during his absence. You made love to him, the night he had come back to you. You had done it the day before with Michikatsu and only God knew how much you loved him.
Two weeks later, you found out you were pregnant. The good news was that the period of conception coincided with Yoriichi’s return. Nevertheless, you knew who was the father.
You watched Kokushibo leave a few days after the news. The bond with his brother seemed to have weirdly developed into a stronger one.
“You should visit us more frequently! And, please, I’d appreciate it very much, if you could keep company to my wife, when I’m gone” Yoriichi said, smiling contently at his brother.
If only he knew.
Kokushibo faintly smiled back at him, his eyes locking with yours for a few seconds, before he nodded his head to his brother “I will take good care of her, brother”.
I would do it again, Michikatsu thought then, hopping into his car. Yoriichi’s life was now his.
AUTHOR NOTE.
Hi there! I know I should’ve posted Douma’s one-shot earlier, but somehow I felt inspired and completed this project. Ugh, poor Yoriichi, but … I wanted to write something different for Kokushibo. He deserves to be happy too. No matter the cost!Likes, comments and reposts are appreciated!

hello, I've read about your post about yoriichi's headcanons and I love them!
Just thinking can I request a headcanon about reader jealous about Yoriichi being pestered by another woman? and how would he react after finding out his s/o's jealous?
thank you!🌹
I'm so glad you loved them! ^^
You must certainly can request that, anon! That is a very interesting scenario.... Lets get into it!
Tumblr media
You and Yoriichi lived a humble life. You would both go to work, and then come home to each other. Sure, sometimes people would hit on you, but you'd always tell them that you were taken. You were faithful to him and expected the same in return. No matter who hit on either of you, the other would be the first to know and the third party stood no chance of disrupting your romantic union, as you were two devoted people in love.
This was how things were and how you believed they always would be.
That was, until she showed up.
You always liked to watch Yoriichi walk home from work, on your comfy queen-sized mattress, gazing out of the window roughly fifteen minutes after his shift ended; seeing him walk briskly back to you just filled you with an inexplicable jubilation. However, about two weeks ago, you observed something horrifying: he started walking home with a despicably beautiful young woman who you had never seen before. Soft-spoken, he would never say much, so she did all of the talking.
Every day, the same thing would happen: you would stare out of your window after his shift, he and the woman would stop outside your house and say their goodbyes, then he would be home. He never said anything about the woman, which made you paranoid. Why didn't he ever speak of her? Was she his dirty little secret, something he was trying to hide? Was he cheating on you?
One day, you decided you couldn't hide your emotions anymore. You exclaimed how you felt dramatically, voice cracking due to all the feelings that had bottled up; you told him that you knew about the woman, that you wanted an explanation, and that you were worried about what this woman could mean to him.
After you were finally done, Yoriichi, calm as the gentle waves brushing against a rock, cupped your cheek lovingly and said these words:
"My love, it has been weeks and I still don't even know her name."
Your eyes widened. If he didn't know her name, that meant-
"She is nothing to me but a co-worker. In fact, I still don't even know why she wishes to follow me home after work, but people have their reasons. Perhaps she is simply afraid to walk alone." He explained, relaxed.
You felt a little embarrassed. This was the first time jealousy had ever been a factor in your relationship, and it was ultimately over nothing. "I-I'm sorry.. We've just built such an incredible relationship, and then I saw this new woman and I just-" you were stopped abruptly by a warm finger meeting your lips. That same silky hand then navigated down to your shoulder, massaging it calmingly.
"Please, you don't need to explain yourself, Y/N. I understand." You looked up and saw nothing but sincerity residing in his maroon stones. Immediately, you felt all of your embarrassment wash away. He saw no fault in you whatsoever, and if a woman that beautiful was really nothing to him, then your relationship had to be secure. It was clear to you in that moment he wanted you and only you.
Then, you kissed him firmly on the lips with burning passion for your beautiful man. He was a little taken aback, but relaxed into the kiss and even offered some initiative of his own, interlocking his tongue with yours. He cupped your face with his hands as you two continued to kiss.
He then whispered something in your ear, words you wished to capture in a jar and keep forever: "You are the only one for me, my dear... I beg of you to never forget that."
------
Ultimately, I believe Yoriichi is the kind to be very cool-headed in a situation like this. He wouldn't shame his S/O at all for experiencing jealousy, but would simply inform them of the truth, then comfort them after. I hope you liked this anon! <3
(NGL I kind of wrote this twice since the first time I accidentally deleted the entire thing HAHAHAHA I think it came out even better the second time though so perhaps it was a blessing in disguise?? anyways defffff had to harness my inner Yoriichi to not get mad when I deleted my first draft lolol)

A marriage of convenience, part 3: something like family.
Part 1, Part 2, Part 3, Part 4, Part 5, Part 6, Part 7, Part 8, Part 9
Series Masterlist
The day at the fair changed things around the cottage. (Y/s/n), who used to be quite wary of Yoriichi, starts seeking out his attention more and more. In his own way, he starts to ask Yoriichi to play with him. He kicks his ball in Yoriichi's direction or runs after him with his kite. Yoriichi is too kind to tell the boy no and always ends up joining the child in his games. (Y/n) watches this development with fondness in her heart. In this whole arrangement, she was worried for (y/s/n) the most. The boy has been through too much to worry about her and the strange man who suddenly lives with them. Though he understands more than he tends to let others see, (y/n) is sure of that. During the day, while (y/s/n) occupies Yoriichi's time, (y/n) gets work around the house done. When the sun sets, (y/n) calls both of them inside for dinner and they sit around the small table and share a meal. In these moments, the three of them seem to be something like a family. When the moon rises and it's time for Yoriichi to leave and do his duty, (y/n) suddenly feels heavy-hearted. She starts to worry about Yoriichi being all alone outside at night hunting demons. She starts to understand why his friends wanted him to get married. At least this way, someone can notice his absence in the morning.
She watches Yoriichi tuck his sword to his side yet another night. (Y/s/n) is already in bed. "Will you be home early tomorrow?", she asks, "I might need some help with the cart." Yoriichi internally stumbles over the word 'home'. Does (y/n) already consider him part of her home? "I don't know yet. I will have to travel far tonight. I am sent to a remote village where young men are disappearing. (Y/n) shifts awkwardly on her feet. "Sounds dangerous.", she notes. Yoriichi is unsure what to say to this. It is dangerous but he also knows what he is doing. "You'll take care, don't you?", (y/n) says softly. Yoriichi adverts his gaze. She's worried about him. "I'll be fine.", he says coldly and without looking at her. She shouldn't worry about him. It's not that kind of marriage. (Y/n) notices his change of attitude and quickly answers: "Of course. I'm going to bed. Good luck." As she hears Yoriichi leave, she feels a sting in her heart. It's clear Yoriichi tried to keep her at a distance. She's not sure why, however. Just because she doesn't want him to die or get hurt, this doesn't mean she's helplessly in love with the man.
Yoriichi ends up being late and (y/n) fixes the cart herself. When he's not back by sunrise, she leaves breakfast on the table for him and leaves the cottage with her son in tow. The sun stands high in the sky when Yoriichi returns to the empty cottage. He's absolutely spent. The walk has been farther than he anticipated and he dealt not only with one demon but three tonight. He's not surprised to see (y/n) and the boy gone. After he ate (y/n)'s breakfast, he takes a bath and falls into his futon. When (y/n) and her son return in the late afternoon, it's still quiet in the cottage. (Y/n) hushes her son outside so that he won't wake Yoriichi. After putting away some purchases, she enters the bedroom. Yoriichi lies on his side with one arm over the top of his head. The low sun shines through the window and onto his hair. (Y/n) looks at him for a while. The light of the sun makes his hair look redder than usual. His breathing is soft and regular. (Y/n) is actually not sure if she ever saw Yoriichi breathe in s different rhythm. He's very good-looking, she thinks to herself. It's surprising no other woman tried to woo him after his wife's death. Vultures don't tend to let the dust settle. (Y/n) knows that from experience. She leans against the door frame and starts thinking about her fiance. Sadness fills her heart and she needs to advert her gaze from Yoriichi.
Yoriichi wakes up to the clattering of dishes and pans. (Y/n) is cooking, he can smell it in the air. He slowly sits up and runs his hand through his disheveled hair. He hears smaller feet tapping the wooden floor in the hallway. "Sshh...", he hears (y/n) say, "Yoriichi is still asleep. You can help me if you want to, but don't bother him." Yoriichi slowly gets up and stretches. The sun hasn't set yet but is already disappearing behind the high trees that surround the cottage. Upon leaving the bedroom, (y/s/n) immediately is at his leg and presents him with a book. "Oh, I'm sorry Yoriichi. You have to tell him no if he's bothering you.", (y/n) says standing at the door to the living area. "It's alright.", Yoriichi says with a hoarse voice. "You must be thirsty. Wait a second.", (y/n) says while quickly turning away. He doesn't see the slight blush on her cheeks upon hearing his voice. (Y/n) can't help but find his grogginess attractive. She puts a cup of water for him on the table and continues cooking. After Yoriichi ignored (y/s/n) for the sake of the water, (y/s/n) runs up to his mother with his book. He pulls at her kimono to get her attention. (Y/n) sighs. "I can't read to you now. Come help me, you can stir the soup.", she says. (Y/s/n) stand on a stool taking the wooden spoon from (y/n)'s hand and starts stirring. Yoriichi watches them silently. (Y/n) is humming a song and gently swinging her hips as she forms meatballs. (Y/s/n) tries to imitate her by swinging his hips a little too hard and out of rhythm. Yoriichi has to smile at that. "What are you smiling at?", (y/n) says with a mischievous glint in her eyes, "Can you do it better than we?". Yoriichi clears his throat, embarrassed that he was caught staring. "I think you two are really good at his.", he says. "Ha, you heard that, (y/s/n)? We're great cooks and even greater dancers!", (y/n) exclaims. (Y/s/n) looks up to her in glee. (Y/n) grabs his little hands and starts swinging both of them in a silly rhythm. Her son starts hopping up and down to the soundless music. Yoriichi can't help but look at the scene fondly. Perhaps he was too harsh yesterday evening. He starts to care about the two of them. Why shouldn't (y/n) start caring about him too?
After dinner, (y/n) puts (y/s/n) to bed. Afterward, she joins Yoriichi outside on the porch with two cups of tea. "When did you come home? Must've been a long night considering how long you slept.", she asks Yoriichi. He hums in agreement. "It got late. Thank you for letting me sleep.", he says. "That's alright", she replies, "Though it was really hard to keep (y/s/n) busy.". Yoriichi takes a sip of his tea. "He's getting attached to you, you know. I'm sorry if that's not what you want from this.", (y/n) says with a wave of her hand. Yoriichi shrugs. "It's alright. I like the boy. He reminds me of me when I was young.", he says. "Really? I can't imagine that. You seem a lot calmer than him.", (y/n) smiles looking into her own cup. "I guess I was calmer. But I also didn't speak for a long time.", Yoriichi answers. (Y/n) looks up at him surprised. "Really? That's good to hear.", she says. Yoriichi turns to her and crooks his head a bit. "What do you mean?", he asks. "Well...", (y/n) starts, "You see, I'm worried about him not speaking. I thought it would just take some time for him to process things, but it's been three years and he still doesn't speak again." "What happened three years ago?", Yoriichi asks. (Y/n) takes a deep breath. "A demon.", she finally says, "You probably noticed (y/s/n) and I don't look much alike. It's because he's not mine. His parents were killed three years ago. His mother was a dear friend of mine, so I took him in." Yoriichi nods. He expected something like this. Things didn't add up with the (y/s/n)'s age and the death of her fiancée and he didn't take (y/n) for the type of woman to get herself pregnant elsewhere. "I'm sorry about that.", he says quietly. (Y/n) sighs again. "Well, you must see things like this all the time. To be honest, I don't know how you do it. I've only seen it once and it was more than enough for me.", she says. Yoriichi puts down his cup and looks into the night sky. "It's a sense of duty.", he finally responds. (Y/n) nods. "A dangerous sense, I guess.", she notes quietly. Yoriichi turns back to her. Maybe he should apologize to her for yesterday. "Look...", he begins, "I'm sorry about how I reacted yesterday. I understand why you're worried about my job." (Y/n) waves her hands in front of her to put him off. "Please, don't be sorry. I get it. This union was not tied to be worried... or be emotional about each other.", she waves him off. Yoriichi looks down. "Still," he says, "We live together. I suppose it's normal to look out for each other... or get attached in some way.". (Y/n) looks at him surprised. "I guess so.", she replies, "At least I can say that (y/s/n) and I are glad to have you around." Yoriichi nods at that. He also is glad to have the two around. While he wouldn't admit it in front of his friends, they were right about him being lonely. He enjoys (y/n)'s and her son's company. He suddenly feels pressure on his arm. (Y/n) has put her hand on his arm and gives it a soft squeeze. "Don't think about it too hard. You'll just get tangled up in unpleasant thoughts.", she states firmly. All Yoriichi can do is nod at that. "It's late. I should go to sleep. Don't stay up too long.". (Y/n) yawns as she stands up. Yoriichi bids her good night and stays behind in the night breeze, alone with his thoughts.

Christmas with the Tsugikuni Twins🎄
So, congratulations! The Tsugikuni Twins invited you over for Christmas!
When you got to their apartment, you were greeted by Michikatsu. He had an annoyed expression on his face and was wearing an ugly purple sweater that had lots of eyes on it. When you laughed, he narrowed his brows at you, but you saw that the corner of his mouth twisted up into a little smirk. Michikatsu cleared his throat and stood there awkwardly, thinking about whether to hug you, shake your hand, or do nothing of the sort.
But when you say "Merry Christmas, Michikatsu!" and stand on your tiptoes to kiss him on the cheek, he turns into a blushing mess and turns away from you.
"J-Just go in, already," he says, hiding his face from you.
You know how he is, so you chuckle to yourself and go in. It isn't long after you step inside that you're attacked by a Yoriichi hug bomb.
"Merry Christmas, y/n!" he says with a big, bright smile as he pulls you into an excited hug.
"Merry Christmas, Yoriichi!" you say and enthusiastically hug him back.
Yoriichi smells like cinnamon and sugar. He smells so nice. He must have been baking (the twins can COOK and you've tried to convince them to make a YouTube channel or something to show their dishes but they refuse). When Yoriichi pulls away from you, you see that he is wearing a Santa hat and a red sweater with sun prints on it.
Yoriichi is so happy to see you. His eyes are sparkling and he's a giant walking tower of fluff :)
By this time, Michikatsu had closed the apartment door and got his flushed face in order. He comes over and takes the bag out your hands (inside of it are the presents your brought for the twins).
"You don't need to carry this. I'll put them under the tree," Michikatsu says.
"Oh, right. Thanks, Michikatsu," you say with a smile. You're tempted to find a way to kiss him again to see his reaction, but he catches on to you quick and distances himself.
"Nii-san, don't open them until it's time," Yoriichi says.
"I'm not going to open anything," Michikatsu grumbles and walks over to the tree. He takes the two boxes out of the bag, holding the one that has his name on it a little longer and studying it.
Yoriichi is watching his brother like a hawk. He likes the presents to be surprises.
"It's okay," you whisper to Yoriichi. Your closeness and breath sends pleasant shivers down his spine. "He won't be able to guess."
Out of the two, Yoriichi makes it the most obvious that you've gotten to his heart. His cheeks turn pink from the closeness of your whispers and he smiles softly at you.
You smile and decide to tease Yoriichi a bit. You cup your palm to his cheek and he settles in right away. His hands travel to your waist and he looks at you with such enamoured eyes. He says nothing. He simply enjoys the moment. He's not ready to grab you and kiss you just yet. He's way too shy to do such a thing unless it's in private, or unless he's been loosened by some alcohol.
Just as you expected, Michikatsu suddenly appears to your side. He pushes his body a bit between you and Yoriichi.
"Am I disturbing something?" he asks with a raised eyebrow.
Michikatsu is a jealous, jealous man, especially when it comes to his brother. Yoriichi always did better than him -- better grades at school, better at sports, more popular with others (even though neither of them were very social). And Yoriichi achieved this naturally without putting in much effort. Michikatsu, on the other hand, had to study very hard and practise a lot to be well above average. Even though he mostly got over it as he grew into adulthood, he still resented how much easier his brother seemed to have it, and these feelings came out much more whenever Yoriichi seemed to be "winning" compared to him.
And you touching Yoriichi so gently and letting him hold you at your waist was a form of Yoriichi "winning".
"Am I disturbing something?" Michikatsu asks again.
"No, nothing," you say and take your hand off of Yoriichi's cheek. Yoriichi looks a bit disappointed and he takes his hands off of your waist. You feel a little bad for teasing him (and also kind of using him to annoy Michikatsu). He really is too pure for you.
"Nii-san, it's Christmas. We should all be a bit closer to each other today," Yoriichi says.
"And Yoriichi does smell so good," you say.
Oops. That made Yoriichi blush again and made Michikatsu fold his arms across his chest.
Michikatsu looks at Yoriichi. "Yoriichi, watch some Netflix. I'll take care of the rest of the cooking."
"But Nii-san, I already started everything and it's probably best that I finish it."
"No. I say that you rest and I finish the cooking."
"Nii-san, I've been following the recipe in my own way and you might not be able to do the same --"
Michikatsu looks at you. "Y/n. Do you think I'm a good cook?"
Both brothers have their eyes on you.
"Ehm ... ehm ..." You're starting to get flustered. "I think you both are ..."
Yoriichi smiles. Michikatsu frowns.
"But who's the better cook?" Michikatsu asks.
"Well ..." You really don't want to answer this question. You don't want them to fight on Christmas. "Michikatsu, you're better at savoury dishes, and Yoriichi, you're better at sweet ones."
"So, I can't cook sweets?" Michikatsu asks.
"I didn't say that. I just said that Yoriichi does a better job."
"It's fine, Nii-san," Yoriichi says with a smile. "That means that you do better with a lot of delicious recipes."
"But not with sweets."
"You two are going to give me a headache," you say.
Both brothers are at your side, checking your pulse and feeling your forehead.
"Does she have a fever, Nii-san?" Yoriichi asks.
"No. She seems well." Michikatsu looks at you with concerned eyes. (Actually, he knows why you say you think you'd get a headache. He feels guilty, but he won't admit it.) "Y/n." He puts a comforting, protective arm around your shoulders. "Do you want to help me check on the main dishes cooking? I won't touch the sweets, I promise."
"Sure," you say with a small sigh of relief. You smile at Yoriichi and he smiles back. He goes on the couch to relax and watch Netflix while you join Michikatsu in the kitchen.
Under your watchful eye, Michikatsu does leave all the sweets baking alone and doesn't try to improve them. You two add some finishing touches to the savoury items. By the way, Michikatsu looks so handsome when he's cooking. He wears a purple and black apron with a bee-hive pattern on it, and because he's VERY careful to not get his hair in the food, he ties it up into a man-bun. It gives you a clear vision of Michikatsu's strong looking neck, but you control yourself even though you want to nibble on it so badly.
Actually, Michikatsu wants you to nibble on his neck so badly too, but if you did, he would certainly scold you.
Everything goes smoothly once dinner is finished. The twins insist that you sit down and they serve you, so you do. Yoriichi finished setting the table while you and Michikatsu were cooking, so all that's needed is for them to bring out the food and drinks. Michikatsu, still in his apron and man-bun, pours you a drink of your preferred alcohol. He's smirking a little, because he knows that Yoriichi is watching him with a slight pout on his lips. (They might have fought earlier in the day on who would be the gentleman to serve you your drink.) You then have to wait for Michikatsu because he's going to take off his apron and put his hair back into his typical ponytail before you eat. Yoriichi is impatient because he doesn't want the food to get cold.
Once Michikatsu the hair diva finally gets back to the table (nothing is cold, don't worry), the three of you have a delicious meal. The twins made sure to make Christmas food from your country and they did a fantastic job. They didn't even ask you for any tips! They figured it out all by themselves (and with Google, of course).
After you eat, it's time for the presents. You're all sitting on the floor by the tree. The twins want you to open yours first. Yoriichi is almost jumping up and down in his seat, as he's so excited to see your reaction. You're surprised to find that there's only one present for you -- and it's from BOTH of the twins! You were expecting that they would try to out-do each other with who gives the best gift, but they actually worked together! You're already so happy and you're beaming. It doesn't matter what it is, it's the best gift ever for you to know that they didn't compete against each other. When you open it, it's the one thing you had wanted the most (no matter how big or small that may be). The twins paid attention to your conversations and came to the perfect decision on what to get you :)
Yoriichi looks like he might cry because you're so happy. Michikatsu is just a blushing mess (both from seeing you happy and from the alcohol he drank during dinner).
It's now time for them to open their presents. Their presents are identical boxes of the same size and weight. The only difference is that one has "MICHIKATSU" written on it and the other has "YORIICHI". Yoriichi looks confused. Michikatsu had taken a good look at the boxes earlier when he put them under the tree and just takes his and starts shaking it.
"Nii-san! Don't do that! What if there's something breakable inside!" says Yoriichi. (Poor soul is genuinely concerned)
You snicker a little. "Yours is the more fragile one, Yoriichi." You wink at him. "I knew what I was doing."
Oh, how fast Michikatsu stops shaking that box of his.
You smile. "So, come on! Open them!"
They can't say no to your smile. Each brother meticulously unwraps his present, though Michikatsu is a quicker than Yoriichi. Yoriichi is the type who is very cautious with the wrapping paper, as if he will somehow be using it again for later. He might cut it up into different shapes and glue them onto a poster paper in a special design, just because it was the wrapping paper you chose. He's sentimental like that.
Michikatsu isn't. It's paper.
Michikatsu is the one to first reveal the cardboard box. He then opens it to find it stuffed with so much paper weighted together so that it would match the weight of Yoriichi's present. Michikatsu raises an eyebrow and starts throwing out all of the paper until he finds two PS5 controllers and an envelope containing a gift card to use at a gaming store. Michikatsu immediately softens. No one knows this but you and Yoriichi, but he likes video games a lot, especially the ones you can play with a partner. He's very competitive, but he takes it less personally if he loses on a game, versus in something that happens in real life. So, he and Yoriichi play together on their PS3. They've wanted to upgrade for YEARS, but never got the money together. (And if they did get together the money for the PS5 this Christmas, they spent it all on your gift, instead of using it on themselves.)
Michikatsu looks so touched. Your gift went straight to his heart. He feels so loved that he isn't even thinking of the samurai and military games he could get for the console. He watches Yoriichi as he still very carefully opens his present to eventually reveal that his box held the PS5 console. Yoriichi lights up like a little kid when he sees it. His eyes are glowing, his cheeks are glowing, he's smiling so big.
Before you know it, you are sandwiched between a hug from both of the twins. They're thanking you and telling you how great your gift is, and that they can't wait for all three of you to play together.
"Well, there's only two controllers, so I don't think all of us can play," you say (you don't mind -- it's fun to watch them too!).
"We're getting a controller for you first thing when the stores open again," Michikatsu says decisively. He looks at you and puts his finger to your lip. "And we're paying so don't say no and don't try to talk us out of it."
"That's right, y/n," Yoriichi says and gives you a kiss to your cheek. "Just let us take care of everything."
"But I still want to play tonight, so, I say we make teams," Michikatsu says. He smirks at Yoriichi and takes your arm. "Y/n and I are playing together. Us against you, Yoriichi. You're on your own."
Yoriichi gets these puppy dog eyes. "No, that's not fair, Nii-san!"
Michikatsu pulls you closer to him again. "It is fair because I'm [pronoun] favourite."
Yoriichi pouts. "No! I'm [pronoun] favourite!"
"Guys! Guys!" You break free from their grasps (damn, it's hard to break free from Michikatsu, he's decided that you are HIS). "Let's not fight."
"We aren't fighting," the twins both say.
You sigh. "I'll start playing with you, Michikatsu, and then I'll switch with Yoriichi for a bit. Okay?"
Michikatsu is determined that you will NOT switch, but he will agree for now. "Sure," he says.
Yoriichi knows exactly what his brother is thinking and eyes him suspiciously. He then turns to you with a smile. "All right, y/n. That sounds perfect!"
You all set up the console to their TV together and buy a game online to play for the night. Yoriichi goes on with his plan to get his time with you -- alcohol. Michikatsu is a bit of a lightweight (don't tell him, he will deny it until his dying day) and he also likes alcohol too much (he will never admit it, so don't even try to get him to). Yoriichi has a higher alcohol tolerance and is more disciplined. So, as you're playing, he keeps offering drinks, which Michikatsu takes with a grin, and eventually Michikatsu becomes drunk enough that he isn't focusing on you being beside him playing with him. So, you get to switch over to Yoriichi's side ...
... which doesn't last for long because when you take a break from the game to go pee, Michikatsu lays on the floor and closes his eyes. By the time you and Yoriichi are ready to start again, he's snoring a little.
"Oops. Never thought that would happen," Yoriichi says.
You know he's lying and you knew exactly what he was doing with those drinks but you don't care. Yoriichi says he'll get some blankets and pillows. When he's gone, you give Michikatsu a light kiss to his forehead. He looks so innocent when he sleeps.
When Yoriichi is back with the pillows and blankets, you tuck Michikatsu in, being very careful not to wake him (which you won't -- the man is drunk and k/o for the night). You and Yoriichi still don't want to make much noise, and you're getting a bit tired, too. So, you shut off the game and put on Netflix with very low volume and subtitles. You choose a movie that both of you know. While the movie is starting, you and Yoriichi set up the pillows and blankets on the floor so that you can lay together next to Michikatsu and watch.
And of course, before the movie comes to an end, all three of you are curled up and asleep next to each other, with you comfortably in between the twins.
It was the perfect Christmas ...
... except for Michikatsu's hangover the next morning ;)
