The concept of "famous" fic authors is still so fucking icky to me

If you find a fic that's really amazing, well written, something you really admire - don't biblify it and mythologize the fuck out of the author to the point where they no longer seem like a real person in their own fandom

1) Comment on the fic and engage with the author like an equal. Become friends with them. (Much easier than you think it will be.)

2) Use this fic as motivation for your own writing, not a mark that writing good fanfiction is near mythical levels of impossible. That fic author was once an unmotivated, tired, bored nerd just like you are, and they made that piece of writing that you love so much

I feel like I need to put a disclaimer in the description or the pinned of my writing blog that I'm not gonna be writing for Spencer Reid or Criminal Minds again anytime soon or possibly ever

Whenever a Spencer or CM themed blog follows my writing blog, I wanna DM them and tell them - friend, you are lost. Sure, feel free to enjoy my past fics. But there will not be anymore.

The CM fandom has tainted Spencer for me and if I do write a fic for him anytime soon, I probably won't post it, because people cannot behave in the comments of Spencer fics

If you come to me for literally anything else - TWD, Titans, (I was even writing Degrassi fanfiction the other day that I may or may not post) - cool. But the CM fandom has scarred me emotionally lmao

Being kink positive makes it really hard to be a hater of media rip. I think one of the great things about the internet is that we can feel closeness with who are people far way. I have been getting comfort through messages and being distracted with YouTube videos, and it is reminding me how the internet can be a really great place, despite the negativity that some people bring to it

I'm gonna be online a bit today.

I know I was supposed to be gone, and I'm not changing my 'on hiatus' status on the other blog - if anything, I'm probably gonna be adding to my hiatus queue.

I was supposed to start packing today or tomorrow but we had a major loss in my family this week and I'm sure that the stress of that is aggravating my illness a lot (especially because I'm on my period now, too) - so I decided that I'm gonna wait as long as possible to start packing. So I'm gonna try to pack all my items within a week or so before we move.

Which might sound counterproductive as hell - but I have discovered over the past few years of living with severe illness, that if I have to do physical labour, doing a little bit at a time doesn't really work for me. Because I get anxious, stressed, and I get physically tired from it - and all of that is stretched out over weeks, when I would prefer to have that tiredness over one week. (Especially because if I am super tired and exhausted, often times I don't have room to feel anxious.) So I know it's gonna be better to do all my packing in a few days and then unpack my things at the new place, organize them, and feel the mental peace of having everything done.

ANYWAY - I have been stressed out from the recent loss, feeling sick, and stressed out thinking about moving. And I just wanna do some stuff to get my mind off it - like working on my queue. And maybe I'll answer some messages in my inbox, I'm not sure yet
