there is something horrifically grim to it, but illustrations for gaza and palestinians tend to catch more mass attention that actual photos of people. this made me feel incredibly helpless for a long while, seeing both how people would rather look at a neat drawing of red black green and white than look a human in the eyes, and how online platforms would rather push a viral drawing while suppressing those begging for help at the same time.

a way to cope with this feeling has been taking advantage of it to directly guide people to helping palestinians.

if art gets better traction, then there’s an incredible amount of good that can be done by creating art that immediately links to fundraisers. creating art of the many images of those who are asking for help.

within hours of posting my drawing, there has been jumps in the thousands for bashar from gaza’s fundraiser. it’s a small effort in the grand scheme of things. it’s not a fix it. but it’s something good. please take care of each other and do what you can. i think this could help a lot of people if a lot of people did it.

TLDR of the Bad Kids in Fantasy High Junior Year

Adaine: I've gaslit girlbossed gatekeeped the Elven Oracle into a paid job and my sister is a cat lady. I'm winning. Fabian: My loneliness is completely definitely perfectly masked by fried rice and low-fi study hangouts and being a Maximum Legend, but I SWEAR TO MY PAPA IF ANOTHER ONE OF MY GIRLFRIENDS IS A TURNCOAT— Gorgug: Teachers said I couldn't barbarian right or artificer right, so I did both. Fuck you. Riz: I will be doing all the clubs and all the campaigning and acing all my classes and cat-herding my friends and despite my mother's ridiculous concerns about my mental health there will be absolutely no consequences. None. Kristen Applebees: I gotta be real with y'all. I am deeply insecure about the loss of my god but we are doing a great job of compensating that loss with our open discussions with the steelworkers and the middle schoolers and my ex-girlfriend at her sort of commercially phony religious movement. Really reaching out to the community. Our campaign is even piloting several radical policies, such as "not wearing pants" and "splitting oneself into two people and one of them is British, straight, and pregnant and somehow connects to my god better than I do which I'm definitely not insecure about but it's fine because she's obliterated now". I love living a life where I headcanon adult Riz and Fabian opening a spy/detective agency together and Riz does all the work while Fabian is the 007 face because Riz could not be bothered with having fangirls/talking to people.

TO BE VERY CLEAR: Our short king is hot adult goblin. He just doesn't care if people know that.

Meanwhile, Fabian will happily be known for being a hot detective/spy/Oracle of Dance/backup dancer for Fig's band/marketing face for Kristen's church/Gorgug's creations. Dude has a billion part-time jobs and he's doing fab.
