“Changing Seasons” broke my heart, but man was that angst tasty! I’m sad to see the author hasn’t updated it in awhile. I hope they will come back to it because I was really enjoying it.

How did/do you choose the ethnicity for characters?
There's no real rhyme or reason, I just clung to random bits of characterization. There's a part in Pinkie's Goof Off song where she randomly belts out an entire verse in Spanish. There are some hints that Rarity's Chinese/Asian-coded (she eats rice in EQG, her favorite story is a Chinese legend). Fluttershy has a moment where she rants about French fashion design. Twilight was originally drafted as a black girl for EQG. RD supports a native community's fight against land theft and colonization. AJ has a cousin who's doing said colonizing.
