Windblight Revali

Nintendo missed a viscerally heartbreaking opportunity to fight your blight possessed friends and comrades bodies. I was obsessed with this idea when BOTW first came out, and I’ve seen some amazing variations of it!

I just never felt comfortable enough with my art to draw the version in my head. But with all the bird man practice I’ve been getting, he’s here at last! (Plus he’s relevant to my Revalink RP with my partner~)

Anyway, I’m sad now so I’m gonna go cry abt it.

Archaeopteryx, a new beginning.

One of my favorite dinosaurs and fossils, Archaeopteryx lithographica. I hope I get to see it in person someday <3

The missing link between dinosaurs and birds, an extinct animal shedding light on such a modern matter. It has always fascinated me. The evolutionary success of so many animals, still present and alive today, coming from millions of years ago.

Even before it was found, scientists expected some animal like Archaeopteryx to have existed, so here archaeopteryx stands in the middle, glowing, as if saying "I'm here! I existed! We are still around, in stone, and in the sky!"

I am submitting this drawing to the art contest Paleoartapalooza, held by the Museum of the Rockies. Wish me luck 🤞

Got invested in the scenario from a joke post... Fossil restoration guys somehow revive warden Ingo, who everyone naturally assumes to be the subway masters’s ancestor

Well, I found all my old cover illustration originals. However… some of them faded dramatically while in storage. They were light to begin with (likely due to the tendinitis I was wrestling at the time) and the resulting scan… left a lot to be desired. The meager paper texture has started to compete with the lightest areas. I remember this one being a massive pain in the ass to scan and adjust the first time around.

So since I’m a Luddite, I’m manually darkening key areas. It needed doing anyway. You can see the whole left hand side of the piece is being darkened, while the head and forelegs and far wing are as pasty as I found them.

I guess it’s been good to see how much I have improved over the years at the very least.

Someday there will be prints, I’m still going to make that work out.

And I proceeded to go absolutely INSANE over this and beg him for an AU RP based off of the ideas that set in. And also, I drew this 😂

Anyway, I had dialogue in mind but didn’t like the way it filled the page so you can absolutely imagine your own~
