Fuck it I’m adding some belated propaganda for both of my favorite ginger jesuses

-he’s a shepherd!!!!!!!!

-both the christ allegory AND the antichrist allegory because he’s god/the universe’s specialest guy (unfortunately for him)

-has multiple sets of stigmata and symbolic unhealing wounds

-arguably the text indicates that he is the reincarnation of actual factual Jesus of Nazareth

-knows for basically the entire series that he will have to sacrifice himself to save the world

-as his arc nears its zenith he goes around constantly causing miracles, reshaping reality around him

Gideon

-daughter of god (important: god sucks)

-the pool scene baptism where she metaphorically cleanses her closest companion of her sins

-sacrifices herself and is later resurrected by god

-her early life has the equivalent of the massacre of the innocents wherein she is the only survivor in a mass murder of children

-she’s also got some christ wounds of the kind that would get a medieval illuminated manuscript writer particularly horny

Going to cautiously posit that if they're moving toward calling Kentucky for Beshear (incumbent Democratic governor) in a blindingly red state Trump won by 30 points, in an off-year election, about 30 minutes after polls close statewide, that is a Good Sign.

Propaganda why Rand al'Thor is insufferable:

He’s poorly written, is given enough plot armor to equip an army, gets three girls, and only gets less likable as he gets more powerful

He shapes the fates of those around him and is the specialest person in the world, currently. And he never stops whining about it. He's also constantly wandering into obvious traps and trusting people who are just walking red flags.

He's like the specialist guy around and is constantly whining about it.

Propaganda why Holden Caulfield is insufferable:

He is obnoxious and sexist and I can't enjoy any of the good things about the book because his narration makes me hate him so much. He's the main character of one of the most popular books of all time and I've never met anyone who liked him, even if they didn't hate him. Made me so upset that I genuinely planned on tearing my copy of the book up. Only reason I didn't is because I forgot to.

Man I just don't like him

We all read it back in high school

Everyone is a phoney but him. Whiny, dramatic, egotistical kid.

I had to read this book in high school and I despised holden the whole time. I found his constant complaining and judging people super annoying.
