Is Peter meant to be Peter Pan? Or a link to Peter Pan syndrome? Like in Miss Americana where tay said ‘they say you become stuck at the age you get famous’, did Peter never come find her not because Peter forgot about her, but because he never grew up?

Taylor Swift's way in re-telling the Neverland innocent and child-like tale - or perhaps her interpretation from the eyes and experience of a full-grown adult woman - resonates to the woman I am now. Maybe I am too still waited for my Peter to keep the promises he made. But the Peter I hold on to, is the 25-year-old Peter who grows up and apparently outgrown me.

Nevertheless, I think I'm still waiting. It's just that, like Taylor wrote, "the woman who sits by the window has turned out the light."

So Peter, it's okay if you have grown up and never gonna come find me.
