I just love the fan made idea that the farmer isn't human at all, but instead a cryptic of sorts just owning a farm and being weird. Like chugging mayo, gifting eggs, fishing for hours, and looking through trash are all things humans do sure, but I just love the weird extent farmer can take it to.

something i was thinking about while playing stardew- i wish the characters would react if you named your kids after them. like, i married alex, right? so my kids names are eve (derivative of evelyn) and georgie (nickname for george) after alex's grandparents, and i just wish they could like... react to it. i think it'd be cute. it'd be a nice easter egg, if nothing else.
