today is international whores' day!
"On June 2nd, 1975, over 100 sex workers began an 8-day occupation at the Saint-Nizier Church in Lyon, France. They demanded the end of fines, stigma, police harassment, and the release of ten sex workers who had been imprisoned a few days earlier for soliciting. This occupation was initiated to call attention to the increasing violence against sex workers perpetrated by the French government. It was widely reported both nationally and internationally, receiving support from labor and feminist organizations alike. On June 10th, after 8 days of occupation, the police forcibly removed the women from the church, but their impact marked the start of an international movement." - History, IWD LA
today (and every day) is a good day to learn from sex workers about decriminalization, our activism, and how to support us.

read Girls do what they have to do to survive by the Young Women's Empowerment Project.
Donate to SWOP Behind Bars to support incarcerated sex workers.
get involved in harm reduction and decrim activism in your local community.
support the sex workers in your life!!

Bigots don't realize how far I want society to go in terms of acceptance. I want to see a world where an eighteen year old getting bottom surgery that leaves them entirely without genitals, or with both sets of sex organs, to be commonplace. I want to see a world where the hotboy singer all the straight girles are fawning over to be an underweight pre T trans guy. I want there to be public theistic luciferian pagan churches, that were converted from catholic churches, and have church school attached to them. I want fathers to be proud of their daughters becoming sex workers. I want the title of ceo to seem as ancient as the title of duke. I want it to be considered normal that some psychotic people carry weapons for self defense. I want it to be normalized for people to be on puberty blockers deep into adulthood. I want...

Quote
I’m not ashamed, and I never have been. I entered sex work and the world of adult films with enthusiasm and positivity. When I signed with Vixen Media Group, a leader in luxury adult content, to be the face of the Deeper brand and to collaborate with famed female director and performer Kayden Kross, I saw a bright future with award-winning projects. Finally, there could be films of the highest quality that also had the hottest sex and could bridge the worlds of adult and mainstream. Why hadn’t the mainstream allowed this before? Why are they in charge of making sure that porn is seen as a lesser medium? And that no one has any talent other than fucking, which, by the way, is a talent in itself. [...] Someone once told me that if you’re happy and someone keeps trying to scream that you aren’t, they’re the ones who look insane. And it’s true. When I began this journey, I had no master plan. It was simply me, finding myself over the course of countless months and years and decades. It didn’t start out as a career choice or some calculated move, although if you weren’t paying attention along the way and just saw the headline “Rachel from Boy Meets World Does Porn” you might assume that was the case. I find it sad that that assumption is built into our cultural narrative, but it also drives me to speak out louder.
The Art of the Sex Tape—And Why I Didn’t Need One
I respect and admire Maitland Ward for living her life authentically and for refusing to apologize. She’s an inspiration to me.

US Harm Reduction Resources
continually updating, not a complete list. feel free to add on any resources you find helpful.
Free Safer Supplies:
Each organization will have different supplies, but generally, harm reduction orgs provide things like syringes, safer snorting + smoking kits, Narcan, condoms, lube, and wound care supplies. Each org has different policies for how to get supplies--some do deliveries, some have drop in centers, some only do one to one needle exchange, some are more flexible.
Next Distro: mail based syringe provider for certain states. Also mails free Narcan.
NASEN: national map of syringe providers
a lot of harm reduction collectives aren't going to have their information listed on big national websites--it's always worth searching "harm reduction in my area" and seeing what's around you. Even if you don't live in a big city, there might be a harm reduction organization in your state that can help you find someone closer to you. there's a lot of rad people doing underground work who want to be there to help you who aren't as easy to find online. If there's street medic collectives, mutual aid groups or groups like Food not Bombs in your area, you can ask people in them who might know where to find harm reduction services in your area!
Drug Users Unions:
Drug users unions are activist groups made for people who use drugs, by people who use drugs! Drug users unions do advocacy work to end criminalization, as well as providing vital community support. Many drug users unions are also inclusive of sex workers and work to decriminalize sex work as well. You can search for "drug users union" in your state.
Urban Survivors Union: National, has resources for creating drug users union
Chosen Few: Drug users union for Black drug users in DC
San Francisco Drug users union
Sex Work Advocacy Groups:
Organizations that do decrim advocacy and provide support for sex workers.
Sex Worker Outreach Project USA- National, has chapters in many states.
Black Sex Worker Collective
Sex Workers Project

Guides, videos, toolkits for safer use!
Harm Reduction Coalition Resource Library

I don't know how anybody can call themselves a feminist, a socialist, or a punk, while hating sex workers.

Friendly reminder that if your feminism doesn’t include woc, queer women, trans women, disabled women, women of any religion, or sex workers then your “feminism” is shit <3

I don't dream of a future where little girls grow up wanting to be ceos, or lockheed martin scientists, or soldiers, or whatever a human recourses developer is. I dream of a world where girls grow up wanting to be occultist practitioners, and sex workers, and unhinged artists, and boys.

Women is forced into sex work by capitalism, the medical model of disability, racism, queerphobia and the patarachy.
SWERFs: We should make sex work and buying sex work illegal.
SW: how will my basic needs be met?
SWERFs: LOL starve to death for the utopian SWERF society that might exist 100 years from now.

One main issue with the anti porn movement is lacking nuance.
You cannot treat some random person making porn of themselves, by themselves the same way you treat Hefner running Playboy.
The conditions simply aren't the same. You can't act like every sex worker is being abused and taken advantage of when that's simply not the case.
Some random couple filming amateur porn independently is nothing like Mia Khalifa being exploited.
Even if you're against porn across the board, no matter who makes it or how it's produced, you simply cannot treat them the same way.
Acting like there's not a difference in the situations is ignorant and harmful, even if you fully support all sex work being banned.

Some of the "findom/me" accounts on here make me laugh so much. This one waited all of four sentences before trying to "own" me.
"Hi. How are you?" "Where do you live?" "How old are you?" "Do you wanna be owned by mistress?"
I love my sex worker friends, but like... these kind of accounts are embarrassing. I legit told her to put a little more effort in next time. Because like, I don't think that kinda script actually works on anyone? Right? Please tell me y'all are better than that....
Because I'd bet my last two braincells that she's a scam. And, if she's not, she's an incredibly lazy domme and not worth your money.
