cool stuff at the geology archives floor

since I'm ahead of my study plans, I've decided to take this weekend to revise plant biology and pchem

pchem is really weird to study, we basically just write formulas and considerations about said formulas and that's... it??

yesterday we had a surprise birthday party for a friend and I met a guy who studies "pure" chemistry and we had a nice talk!

i am honestly having a terrible time rn

i broke out in hives a couple days ago and they've not totally gone away yet so my arms are red and itchy and driving me mad

and it's messed my sleep scheduled up because i've been waking up at odd hours from the itchiness and then over sleeping to try to sleep away the hives (idek if that works)

the only good news i have is i took a benadryl so i should be less itchy and fast asleep in a bit (and that'll finally be a normal hour to go to bed at)

the abysmal to-do list:

✖️ exercise

〰️ doordash from 11-1pm and 5-8pm (i only went from 5-8pm)

✖️ reach out to a couple people

✖️ transfer slack + email new people (i was supposed to do this thursday ;-;)

✔️ clean my room

✔️ drive over to my dad's

✔️ daily spanish practice

New laptop setup to be more comfy while I write my papers and the bookmark I made for my mum (I am obsessed with how good the yellow uni posca looks it's a warm yellow and it's so pretty)

Anxiety still fuckes me on the daily, but meds are there for me to make things slightly better. But today I conquered my tasks and I managed to finish the first draft of my English lit paper. I only have to reread it a few times to edit it and fix things, but most of the work is done. I will also send it to a friend to ask her opinion and whether she things my writing was clear enough, so that I know how to plan my next study moves. I haven't picked a topic for my history paper yet, so that must happen at the beginning of next week so that I can start working on it. I am feeling a bit overwhelmed about next week like I have so much to organize, and do, and aaaaaaaah I just want to stay in bed for a month and not do anything ugh. I am also missing a book to help me in my desperate need of escapism because I finished both books I was reading and I don't know what to pick next. As for podcasts I also feel quite empty now that I finished monstrous agonies and the mistholme museum is also over. I started listening to travelling light because I need to have H.R. Owen's voice in my life, but I am not fully into it yet, I am intrigued tho. In conclusion just picture me as a screaming possum and you pretty much get a clear picture of me rn.

i got up on time (9am) for once!!!!!!

i did that so i could go to the insurance office and get breakfast with my dad and stepmom (i had some really good waffles and time with my dad <3)

i got a little frustrated with my stepmom over some stuff

i watched four episodes of sherlock holmes (1984) with my dad which was great bc he was just as into trying to solve the mysteries as i was :)

throughout the day i had some really kind and sweet interactions with people and it totally made my day and everything i've been struggling with this week so bearable <33333333

(and they honestly almost made me cry good tears at certain points, lmao)

not much happened! it was one of those chill do-nothing rainy days :)

the to-do list!

✔️ go to the insurance office + have breakfast with family

✖️ exercise + 4,000 steps (it was raining all day today ;-;)

✔️ check emails + admin tasks for a slack workspace

✔️ text some friends + reply to some tumblr notifications :)

〰️ schedule my rmv appointment (i have to wait for them to email me back 🫠)

〰️ daily spanish practice (i forgot to listen to the podcast)
