While I was going through my old school papers today, I found one of those trick quizzes that high school teachers who think they're terribly clever like to hand out – you know, the ones with a long, complicated series of instructions where the first instruction is "read all instructions in full before following any instruction other than this one", and the final instruction is "disregard all instructions other than first instruction and this one", and you lose a point for each preceding instruction you actually carried out – and now I desperately need to come up with an in-universe rationale for an SCP Foundation containment procedure article to be structured that way.

I finished reading the secret history written by donna tartt. After 2 months of flipping over its pages day by day , some sending me a shock , some a wave of surprise and dissapointment , some transferring joy and delight. This was a 600 page read and for some reason the idea of reading the last 50 pages at one time seemed very stimulating. The moment i finished reading the book , i just stared at the wall for a minute , trying to process that this journey has finally ended and it made me feel some inexplicable emotions which i hadn’t felt in ages. It made me forget all my life and my surroundings , took me to Hampden (setting in the book) and landed me back, smoothly without me noticing the sweet transition escaping my monotonous life to an intoxicating and charming world (it wasn't really , but to maintain the flow)
I realised later, this is what reading is, what reading meant to me and how i had longed for the sensation surge until this moment.
i need to read fiction and fantasy novels again.

essay planning / late night at the library
7 MAY 2024 | 78/100 DAYS OF PRODUCTIVITY
finally recovered from the panic-filled all-nighter to finish my capstone paper only to have a panic-filled twelve hours to finish another paper due tonight
managed to go grocery shopping to buy some fresh bread and cheese before locking in
finished reading and analyzing my sources and outlining my paper before grabbing dinner at my local teashop and heading to the library
managed to finish writing my paper two hours before the deadline while body doubling with a friend!
now finishing readings to study for my exam tomorrow evening
i fear lock-in season is taking its toll on me, but in a week i will be home, so there's that to look forward to
