The bat kids should threaten to get adopted by Tim every time Bruce is being a dickhead or just an inconvenience in anyway shape or form. Tim is paranoid enough to have his foster license and probably overthinks it enough to have Gotham CPS under his control. (Some people are bribing the cops while this man is bribing CPS smh.)
And like when Bruce over steps, they’re like “ok then, Tim’s my new dad now. “ Then they go camp out at Tim’s place for a while.
Usually the younger ones (+Cass) do this but it’s even more hilarious when Dick and Jason catch on to this. I think that Jason would do it first tho

See how in 2023 almost all of the reblogs come from the OP, from their few hours/days in the tag search. Meanwhile in 2014 the % of reblogs from OP is insignificant, because most of the reblogs come from the reblogs within the fandom, within the micro-communities formed there. You didn't need to rely on tags, or search, or being featured. Because the community took care of you, made sure to pass the work between themselves and onto their blog and exposed their followers to it. It kept works alive for years.
It's not JUST the reblog/like ratio that causing this issue, it's the type of interaction people have. They're content with scrolling and liking the search engine, instead of actually having a reblogging relationship with other blogs in their community.
Anyways, if you want to see more content you like, the only true way to make it happen is to reblog it. Likes do not forward content in no way but making OP feel nice. Reblogs on the other hand make content eternal. They make it relevant, they make it exist outside of a fickle tumblr search that hardly works on the best of days.
If you want more of something, reblog it.

what do you think of the thing where Jason has dysphoria?
I just cannot get enough of it and I think it’s shown really well in the fic vermillion bc it just shows a really good version where in multiple instances he thinks that his hands aren’t his hands and that makes so much sense because there were probably so many changes from the Lazarus pit that he didn’t choose and had to figure out. It always makes me die when I see that there’s not really a tag for it and they’re super hard to find.
It’s a very interesting trope!
I’m really into all of the psychological-horror type stuff (it’s like 80% of what I wrote lol) and it’s something that I wish more people wrote about.
Like I’m writing a one shot right now *wink wink* and it’s one of the main points that the fic is about. I think that the fandom doesn’t do a lot of like in depth psychological shit on the batfam, there’re so much little quirks and details that we could talk more about.
Most of their relationships with each other and themselves have an undercurrent of toxicity lmao
The pit’s such a fun twist that I don’t see a lot of people writing about :(

Guys do you think the other heroes will make up cases during slow weeks so the Bats have enrichment.
I might have to just draw a large portion of the batfam surrounding papers.
Like I’m imagine Clark, Wally, and Victor sitting around the watch tower meeting room making up stuff because Bruce and Dick were getting restless and this is better than them trying to dismantle something.
I need Barbra, Cass, and Tim to be there to trying to figure stuff out.

That’s so true! And like we also took a lot from them streaming other stuff as well (the Antarctic empire from SMPearth and like the whole trope of Tommy in Wilbur’s 100 people challenges) so we were really able to fuck around and find out lmao.
I think we should do that more in this fandom tbh. People get too caught up in how canonically accurate shit is. Cmon, have some whimsy, strip canon down to its bare bones and rebuild it again. It’s very fun and leads to some great stories

They're all from like different planets but Bruce's heart wrenches because oh my god these are children but they're struggling oh my god.
The first one he finds is Dick, a little winged boy who's a little frightening and a lot blood thirsty, but Bruce sees him and goes "yup, mine" and slowly befriends him.
Then it's Jason who's inhumanly strong and who's species is known to be a little brutish but he's low-key just chilling (traumatised) and Bruce yoinks him too.
Steph and Tim come in a pair. They both ran away from home together and they're inseparable (I don't ship them but you can take it as a ship if you want.) Bruce has to coax them a bit more because they're both actively feeding into each other's paranoia
The last one I’m going to do is Cass. Bruce is on a mission when he finds her, she’s homeless and roaming the streets of the planet and he can feel her curious eyes on him as he goes about trying to find information. He was there to gain information about a drug cartel and came back with another daughter.

Neo-gothic architecture (gothic revival architecture, ovigal architecture, victorian gothic, etc.) is an architectural genre that really peaked around the mid-ish 18th century to the late 19th century. It was you’ll never guess this inspired by medival gothic styles but was also considerably different because of different building materials and scope of technology available to architects.
The number one hater of this style was this guy named Giorgio Vasari, an artist and architect from the Italian Renaissance. He regarded Gothic architecture as “monstrous and barbarous” and considered the pointed arch as an “abomination of architecture.” (What a loser.) He had actually used the term “Gothic architecture” as a derogatory name. Vasari had attributed various features to the Goths who had invaded and sacked Rome. He claimed that the Goths had destroyed all the ancient Roman architecture and that the Gothic style was of their invention.
Augustus Pugin was the dude who really pioneered this style. He even published a book in 1836 called “Contrasts” which argued for the medieval Gothic architecture style. He was also one of the people who designed the Palace of Westminster after it burnt down in 1834, which is pretty cool. The whole politics behind architecture of all things is very interesting actually.
Like the prime minister of the uk at the time, Sir Robert Peel, really wanted to disassociate himself from John Wilson Croker who was really controversial for his opposition to the Reform Act of 1832 which which basically gave the right to vote to middle class men. Long story short Croker was a shitty guy who had connections to neo-classic architects who hated gothic architecture or whatever and the government was like "how about we basically spit on this dude" and chose to make it Gothic style.
