Buck having sex in public places - firetruck, a roof, bar bathroom and (almost) a news van = kink
Buck having a ring cutter for *reasons* = kink
Athena getting stuck in handcuffs = kink
Athena and Cap role-playing = kink
Woman having a violator stuck inside of her = kink
Couple (trying to) have sex on top of the fire truck = kink
Couple (trying to) have sex on a balcony = kink
This show has been showing kink THE WHOLE TIME!
If you've never had a problem with all of that but suddenly now you're clutching your pearls at a flirty sexy comment Tommy made in a conversation about daddy issues that BUCK INITIATED then you are the problem, not Tommy.
It's fine to not like a character for any (or no) reason, but to make out that he's being predatory or creepy or that he clearly doesnt like Buck for simply flirting with the man he likes just makes you look a dick at best and homophobic at worst.

"Buckaroo, if you and Tommy would get married, what last name would you choose?" Buck looks up from where he's sitting at the dinner table of the station, munching on some vegetables he had cut up for himself as a snack. Hen sits down at the table too, across from him, smiling.
"Kinard. I want his name," he says without even missing a beat. Hen is apparently a bit surprised and she raises one of her eyebrows. "Really?" she asks. Buck nods. "Yep," he says, plopping a piece of yellow pepper into his mouth. "I've never felt any kind of deep connection to my name," the young firefighter then explains. "I even resented my first name because of my parents. And Tommy has changed that. He made me love my first name again." Smiling, Buck thinks of the way Tommy always calls him Evan and that makes his chest feel all warm. "But I'm definitely fine with letting go of the name Buckley."
"Evan Kinard does sound quite nice," Hen then comments and Buck beams at her. "But we can keep calling you Buck, right?" That question makes him laugh and he nods. "Of course, Hen!" And Hen smiles softly because the happiness in his eyes, his voice and his whole demeanor is such a great look on Buck.

So my headcanon for Season 8 is that the 118 will overthrow Captain Gerard through a mutiny and Tommy will help them do it because he knows some deep dark secrets about that obnoxious man from all those days of being in his circle. Not sure of the technicalities but I guess this could work. Also, I believe there's a reason why Gerard was brought back this season only when we also got Tommy back. Tommy has a direct link to that man and he will redeem himself further by showing Gerard how his former favourite protege in fact, turned out to be his worst nightmare. We already got 3 negative Gerard mentions from Tommy this season. Tommy has seen and taken a lot of his crap against others while repressing himself for a very long time, but I don't think he is going to hold back anymore watching that man target his boyfriend and good friends. And with that silent and meaningful death stare he gave while walking past Gerard during the medal ceremony, I have a feeling there's a lot more about to happen. I am excited and hoping for good stuff, fingers crossed! 🤞🏽

911 ep 710 first watch reactions
Ha, so Chris is upset, Eddie is distraught and his go to person is Buck, who drops everything else and comes over right away. And not for the first, or second, or third time. Yes, this is exactly how every platonic friendship I've ever had has played out.
The way Buck reads Eddie, knows him so well, that Buck can vocalize the part that Eddie can't say out loud right away... Soul mates.
"What you always do." Married soul mates.
LOL The way Hen and Chim don't even blink when Buck and Eddie show up at the hospital together, like the married couple they are. XD
This group of fire fighters being the best amateur detectives on TV since the Scooby Doo gang will never not be funny. Also, highly implausible, but that just makes it funnier.
"You go to hell!" "You first!" So 911 was having a western kink kinda month, and decided to set up this very likely storyline, just to be able to quote Tombstone? Hmmm.
"This one, we both walk out of." See, 911 is the show where I can roll my eyes 30 times during a storyline, but the climax moment still gets to me with its humaneness. That's the show's power. And the follow up reunion with Bobby! I had no doubt he'd live, but it was still very emotional to walk with Athena down the hospital hallway into his room and get to not only see, but also feel it.
"Bobby is the father I've never had." We know, but it was still nice to hear. "Your father's alive." Oh, Tommy. How little you understand Buck. "So maybe we both have daddy issues." "I don't." "But you think I do." "God, I hope so." lol Is this supposed to be flirting? If so, it's so off the mark for me, the dart ended up in outer space. I mean, Buck obviously has daddy issues, and I guess whoever needed that confirmed can celebrate (I'm sure there will be even more fics digging into this now), but pointing that out in the middle of a date is hardly the sexy move this ep's writer seems to think it is? IDK, I'm obviously a Buddie shipper, I like BuckTommy better than any other r/s Buck's had with a non-Eddie person, I do enjoy it as a part of Buck's journey (and I also generally believe in ship and let ship, even when something isn't my endgame), but even if I was a BuckTommy shipper, IDK that I would have liked that line. Especially when it treads a bit close to the issues I had with the BuckAbby r/s, which the show has never properly addressed. Oh, well. I'm still mostly amused that someone thought this was a great flirty line.
"He's 13, he should have a say!" To be heard? Yes. To have the final say? No. He's 13, not 18. There's a reason why at that age, we don't let kids make decisions for themselves yet. Also, the Diaz parents trying to pretend like the fact that Chris suggested him living with them for a while isn't their secret fantasy come true (or that they have no past where they hurt their son with this idea) is just crude. Also, hinting to Eddie that if he doesn't let Chris run away from his problems, then he'll be just like Ramon, is fucked up.
Also, kinda hilarious that Buck and Eddie's daddy issues are both brought up in the same ep. Sometimes being soul mates means exactly that, getting your partner perfectly because you have the same emotional baggage.
So, Chris is leaving, and the first one to talk to him on screen since the Kim debacle, and since he got the green light to go, is Buck? And Buck's also still there for the actual parting moment? Speaking of actual dads rather than bio ones...
I really liked Eddie just hugging Chris, using no words. There might not be anything he can say to fix this right now, but he still loves his son more than anything, and he can still let Christopher know that. And then when the message didn't get through, even though he's not a words person, Eddie managed to verbalize it. Don't mind me, I'll just be bawling quietly in the corner.
Buck's comforting hand on Eddie's shoulder is the real MVP. <3
I'm glad Mara's back in touch with Hen, Karen and Denny, but this feels a bit like a "deus ex machina" moment, even if it's just to wrap up the season finale, and not the final resolution of this storyline.
Bobby and Amir are actually so similar. They both lost everything, they both were at their lowest, they both chose to help others when they had nothing else left to live for. That handshake was a nice ending to their story, and it did feel more "earned" for not coming quickly or easily.
Ha, that ending. It's a good twist of events as a build up for season 8, it's just interesting because 911 doesn't usually do end of season cliff hangers. I also feel like, knowing the show, I can already predict more or less how it will turn out, so I'm not even feeling that much suspense. But it's not a bad turn of events, so long as it works for most viewers, I suppose. Overall, I enjoyed most of season 7, it feels revitalized, better paced and structured (despite being shorter) than seasons 5 and 6, and I have no doubt everyone will flock back to see how things unfold in season 8. Especially when this season was a nice reminder of everything this show can do right, and why we love these characters and fire family so much.
Thank you for reading! If you’re looking for more, you can find my s7 reactions tag here, and more of my Buddie meta and content in my pinned post. xoxox

The writers and Tim Minear were able to bring Bobby/Athena, Chim/Maddie, and Hen/Karen together over the years…but they are fully incapable of giving Buck and Eddie love interests that matter and mean something. I know that Oliver and Ryan have very powerful on/screen chemistry that’s hard to match but my god…Buck/Tommy is just not working for me and don’t even get me started on the Eddie/Marisol/Kim mess. (Hopefully Eddie is done with both of them)
The writers need to get it together in season 8. They will have more wiggle room with more episodes to work with. If they aren’t putting Eddie and Buck together (THEY SHOULD)…AT LEAST PUT THEM IN MEANINGFUL RELATIONSHIPS THAT THE AUDIENCE WILL ACTUALLY CARE ABOUT.
I feel like a broken record every year when it comes to this topic. Season 8 has to be the season…and if it’s not…then when?? (Nothing beyond season 8 is guaranteed yet).
They did finally have Buck discover his bisexuality and had Eddie move on from Shannon even if it was in a very bizarre way. The path is as clear as it’ll ever be. So yeah…season 8 has to be the season. Sigh…I’m tired guys…

Happy Pride to the 118
To Hen who is some of the best black lesbian representation I’ve seen
To Karen who is not only a black lesbian but also gd scientist. Woman and stem and hot
To Buck who finally got expect a part of himself. The fandom fought for years and was constantly laughed and mocked for thinking he was Bi. Yet this season has shown the Buck has been and will always be Bi
To Micheal who showed the complexity of being in the closet and what it’s like to let yourself be honest. Seeing his relationship with Athena, Bobby, and the kids was so wonderful
To Maddie and Chimney who are literally the most bi couple to ever be spotted
To Bobby and his S1 situationship with Chimney
To Eddie who doesn’t know it yet but him and Micheal are about to be twinning
To Ravi who’s the ppls queer prince
To May who’s the ppls queer princess
To all the canon and non canon characters we’ve seen throughout the show. HAPPY PRIDE

My thoughts about the episode: - That flashback scene was rude! - Athena's rage made me shiver. It hurt when she had to wait for reinforcements for 14 (!) minutes. I was glad she still was rational enough to listen to Amir. I never doubted he was innocent. - Bobby, omg, I didn't think he would wake up so soon and be on his feet again, but it just shows that they didn't have much time and I'm really glad they will get 18 episodes again. That was too fast. - Eddie ... I don't even know what to say. For me, the biggest disappointment of this season. For all they talked about it, interviewed Ryan like 6 times and talked about isolation, etc., it was underwhelming. Chris leaving was kind of obvious in the end and no one called Eddie out about Kim. It all felt too rushed for the impact this was supposed to have. Shall I hope for season 8? - The scene with Bobby and his family at the hospital was beautiful. Harry and May <3 - Ugh, Gerrard. I saw it coming. Just know, that no one is going to run into a collapsing or burning building for you ... That guy is not going to destroy what they have, he's totally going to try, but he's not going to succeed, I just know that. - Buck and Tommy. Perfection. That scene was everything. From Tommy asking Buck if he's okay, to getting some Tommy background and then the flirting. And I already expected a certain part of this fandom to act like idiots about this, but really: Those are two adults. They were both into it. It's a developing relationship and it's normal to figure out, what you like or don't like. Buck was smiling the whole time and he was also smiling when Tommy sad "God I hope so". So no, nothing was sexualized or weird about it, it's just you. - My biggest win this season is autistic Tommy headcanon (but really, almost canon). I relate to him a lot and I love this straightforward way of communication. Also I would have done the same: React to Buck's emotion about almost losing Bobby with his own experiences. It's a very autistic way of saying: I feel you.

Of all the things that happened in the season 7 finale, Christopher leaving is the one that broke me, and has stuck with me.
My deluded hope is that this will bring Buck and Eddie even closer together (when Eddie calls Buck because he's lonely, and Buck apologises to Tommy, saying he has to go see Eddie, what then???) and that we will finally get Buddie. They'll have a bit of space to figure their shit out before Christopher returns and they're one big happy family.

"Evan, just... talk to him. That man loves you and a little fight doesn't mean your relationship is over. Chim and I fight all the time!"
Buck swallowed thickly and he wiped his eyes with the back of his hand. It was trembling and he felt tears sting in the corners of his eyes. He really didn't want to cry, but it was so hard to.
"Yeah, but you two... You're soulmates! You were made for each other!" Buck answered with a heavy sigh. He got up from where he was sitting on Tommy's couch in Tommy's living room and started pacing nervously.
This had been their first fight. Tommy had told Buck he needed to leave LA for two weeks for advanced in-service training somewhere in Arizona. The worst thing about this was the fact that Tommy couldn't even come home during those two weeks because of the intense hours of the training. Two weeks without his boyfriend? Buck had just... freaked out about it. One word had lead to another and then, Buck had accused Tommy of not even minding the fact that they'd be apart for two weeks. That maybe, he'd even find someone better at a training center full of other amazing pilots. Then, Tommy's phone had told him he needed to come to Harbor - there was a forest fire and he had been on standby all day. So, Tommy had went to the bathroom to get ready really quickly and Buck had called Maddie immediately.
"Evan, please calm down. Maybe it is not for me to say this, but I do think you and Tommy, that is a perfect fit. You'll be fine. Just talk to him."
Buck heard the bathroom door open again. "I need to go. Thanks, Maddie." He ended the call and looked up to see Tommy standing in the door frame, watching him. "I really hate that I need to go now," Tommy said and Buck swallowed thickly around the lump in his throat again, nodding. "Me too."
Tommy walked over to where Buck was standing and the young firefighter looked at his boyfriend with huge, wet eyes when Tommy's large hands cradled his face oh so gently.
"I love you, Evan," Tommy said and the sincerity in his eyes made Buck's heart flutter in his chest. "And I hate that we'll be separated for two weeks. And I will promise you that I'll still love you when I come back - maybe even more than I do now. I don't care about others, okay? You're the one I want."
Buck stared at him for a few seconds. "I love you too. I've- I've never felt like this for anyone before and I'm so scared to lose you and that's because I freaked out and fuck, I'm so sorry, I don't want to drive you away with being to clingy and too much, I-"
Tommy's lips brushed against Buck's. "You're not too much. You're all I want, Evan." The pilot said. "And fuck, I wish we could keep on talking about this, but I need to go. I love you, okay? And I can't wait to come back home to you."
Home. Tommy spoke of his apartment as their home. Buck laughed wetly, more tiny tears clinging to his eyelashes, with his heart fluttering in his chest. "I will wait for you to come home to me," he said. He leaned in to press a really soft kiss to his boyfriend's lips. "Be safe, Tommy." The gorgeous smile Buck loved so much was now back on his boyfriend's handsome face. Tommy nodded. "I promise."
