Saying it louder for the people in the back: Tommy Kinard is every bit deserving of the 'Medal of Valor' as Team 118. 🎖
Haters think all he did was fly the helicopter and didn't deserve to get one? Because it must be so damn easy to fly right into the middle of an active hurricane with the winds and rain lashing violently against the chopper and there being minimal visibility of the surroundings, anyone could have done it right?
You fools, imagine the level of guts, skill, and dexterity it must have required to fly through all of that, plus the burden of being responsible for the lives of 4 fellow firefighters, forget about his own? The willingness to go out of the way to help and being able to stay so calm-headed while knowingly diving into a life-or-death situation (don't tell me that's just his job, because he was not even officially assigned this rescue mission and could have very well declined to do this but he didn't hesitate at all), only based on some wild hunch of his former colleagues? If that's not 'valor' for you'll, I don't know what is!
Just because Tommy made it look easy and effortless, doesn't mean it was. Go cry about something else, losers!

Hc I have and will not let people take it away from me : Tommy was on henren's wedding (bc he was friends with Hen when she met Karen) and Tommy was looking at the woman, who inspired him to be better and be more of himself, getting married to the love of her life. And he was so hopeful one day he would be as free and proud and Hen and Karen were that day. And then years later when he is on his own wedding with love of his life, his Evan, he shares this story in his speech, saying thank you to Hen to show him it's ok to be yourself and not ask about forgiveness for it
