At first Batman skimmed a little bit from Lovecraft but in 2000 it just took it all.
This animated adaptation of that story is pretty interesting, but all of it is a dreary drama. The plot is above average. The animation is pretty good outside the flashbacks. Some of the VO is dodgy.
