Hello dear friends, I'm really finding lately that currently art for me is an endless journey of creative experiments . I suppose I'm just trying to find out if I can come up with some interesting images for possible designs.

Tonight I'd like to present to you the purple hue light figurative sketch rendering of The Lady Shades Her Face. Again this was created from one of my photos I took of the clay statue I sculpted called The Lady Shades Her Face.

This was definitely a favourite sculpture to work on of my past projects, I dearly look forward to showing you further art work very soon, keep well and Take care 🤗🙏👋

Silly Game Time: Do you have any Comfort Characters? Ones where it just makes you happy to see or think about them?

And do you have any CONFRONT Characters? Those ones where you would fight them yourself if you could? (or at least really enjoy seeing or thinking about them finally getting some comeuppance?)

This is Melody and Wrath. They're a pair I first created by splitting what I considered my “music” half and my “writing” half into two different characters. Both are undead spirits. Melody's a siren, and Wrath is a bit more complicated — combine the ideas of wraith, phoenix, and harpy together in your mind. That's basically her. These two are what I consider to be the very guardians of my spirit, and also, they're married! :D

And yes, if you were wondering, they are in fact what inspired the username. SongWriter and Melowrath are their ship names.

Honestly I have a lot of comfort characters, both in other media and among my OCs, but these two are usually the first to come to mind.

As for confront characters…

I wish these two a very GET FUCKED (derogatory)

There are also some among my OCs but the first ones that came to mind were very “I hate them. I love them. I despise them. If they flirted with me, I wouldn't stand a chance.”

Korean-American painter Leeah Joo’s work is inspired by the enigmatic and hidden. In her illusionist paintings, she teases our predisposition to probe and uncover. Intriguing parcels in her Pojagi series are enveloped by a lavish, traditional Korean wrapping cloth and beckon to be unpacked. The richly detailed paintings of lacey drapery in her Parrhasius series present an open-ended narrative, inviting us to question what lies behind the curtain. Joo studied painting and art history at Indiana University in Bloomington and received her MFA in painting from the Yale School of Art, Her paintings have been exhibited widely in the U.S. and South Korea. She is the recipient of notable awards from the Pollock-Krasner Foundation, George Sugarman Foundation, Connecticut Commission on Arts and the Puffin Foundation. Currently, Leeah Joo lives and paints in Middlebury, Connecticut and teaches at Southern CT State University and Paier College.
