I feel like this is an important post to make, even though I don't have a big following at all, I firmly believe even the smallest accounts should use whatever platform they have to spread their words. I'm aware that not everyone can donate, but a simple reblog of ANY post can help it reach a wider audience and help even more people in Gaza. I will reblog this myself with links to donate helpful causes, and I'm gonna tag the hell out of this to reach as many people as possible.

We all have a part to play in this terrible genocide. Just because they're far away doesn't mean that there's nothing we can do. If it was your friends, family, or children, or even neighbours, I'm sure you'd all want the world to stand up and speak up too.

I know this strays away from my usual content, but I feel it's important to post about this.

Ehab Rida, founder of the GazaDirectAid account on Twitter, along with his team of volunteers, have put together a toy distribution project for the Gazan children who has been displaced in Rafah.

It goes without saying that play is an extremely important part of healthy development for children, and when Palestinian children are having to live through a genocide that is stripping their childhoods and innocence away from them, it's only become even more important for these kids to not only have methods of distracting themselves from the horrors happening to them, but to also have ways to continue experiencing joy and happiness despite what's happening to them.

Please, donate what you can to the GazaDirectAid relief program- Ehab is doing amazing stuff through his work and I highly encourage lending as much support as you can.

Have a friend who’s neutral and said when I showed her a picture of dead children in Gaza

“Ew, I did not want to see that.”

No shit. But this is the real world and I told her that Israel is bombing Palestine and she still said she’s neutral. She said that Palestine did things too.

Did the kids do anything?

Did they?

Did the families do something that justified getting bombed? Murdered in cold blood?

EDIT 3/10: She is not my friend anymore in my eyes. I don’t talk to her at all unless she asks me a question but otherwise no.

EDIT 3/12: yes I understand I should not show her images of dead children in case it’s triggering. My apologies. I was being irrational and angry.

This is Suad Ahmad. You can read her full story here.

Suad is a successful engineer and professor from Gaza. On top of her professional accomplishments, Suad found out she is pregnant. Sadly, a week later, the occupation began bombing Gaza and planning an invasion.

Suad’s home and workplace were destroyed, and she and her husband’s family were displaced. While living in a cramped tent and subjected to the elements, Suad became extremely sick with gastroenteritis, a dangerous condition during pregnancy. Food is scarce, and they are all suffering malnourishment.

Suad’s due date is coming very soon, and she wants her baby to have a better life than the one she’s living now. She is trying to evacuate to Egypt, where she and her family will be safer and healthier.

The campaign has been open for several weeks, but has received almost no support. We are trying to get Suad and her family evacuated before she gives birth, so we have only a few weeks left. Please help give Suad and her family a better future. If you cannot give, please reblog this post and repost the link across all of your social media accounts.

I made this document for people like me; minors and the poor, who are unable to donate to Palestine, and may be unable to participate in boycotts. You might think there's nothing you can do but there is. they've grown here for aeons.

they have our color,

for what more could we ask for?

but we are in no need of flags,

because even as rags,

daughters to sons,

what will still grow,

are those watermelons.
