Graphic design artist and journalist Moataz Abu Sakran @moatazart was still finishing his beautiful home in Gaza City when the IOF bombed it. They destroyed everything he and his wife Maryam had built, leaving him, Maryam, and their baby girl Maria homeless. Moataz lost the ability to work, and his family is struggling to get food. They have been repeatedly under siege by the occupation, including during the long siege of the Al-Shifa Medical Complex area.

Despite all of this, Moataz continues to make content about Gaza, risking his life and going to unimaginable effort to inform people about real conditions on the ground in the north of the Strip. His tumblr (above) and Instagram accounts are both active, and you can view his work there. This blog often cites Moataz, and major news outlets like Al Jazeera as well as social media influencers have also used his photos and footage, usually without any recognition.

Moataz, Maryam, and Maria were about to evacuate to Egypt to temporarily resettle there for their own safety. Their plan was to find safety in Egypt, and find work there until they were able to return to Gaza. The border is currently closed due to illegal IOF seizure, but it will reopen. They still plan to travel to Egypt for their own safety and to find work, but for now that is too far into the future to be of any consolation. They have no intention of leaving Gaza permanently, they love their home and are determined to rebuild it.

You can help them rebuild their home by supporting them here. The rebuilding cost is significant, and the fundraising will have to be done in stages. Unfortunately, this first stage has seen very little progress. You can help Palestinians be able to keep living in Gaza by supporting their reconstruction funds. No amount is too little, and all reblogs and reposts are immensely powerful.

We are also putting together an art drive to raise funds, and are looking for artists and other creatives who are interested in contributing. If you have experience organizing art drives, or want to contribute your work, please reach out to us.

Update 4/6/24 : My Child Magid got Hospitalized

I am writing this on the behalf of Firas Salem @firas-salem , I tried messaging him but I coudn't, I think he got shadowbanned AGAIN!! But I can't reach his phone right now He Needs Us More Than Ever!! Update 4/6/24 : My Child Magid got Hospitalized He suffered from severe Gastroenteritis, and it kept getting worse , vomiting and diarrhea .. His tiny body couldn't take it . The doctor said he lost almost 9 Pounds ! And blamed us for not bringing him sooner . We had to put him on IV because of dehydration.. my poor child is asthmatic as well so it took a toll on him . This is Suad Ahmad. You can read her full story here.

Suad is a successful engineer and professor from Gaza. On top of her professional accomplishments, Suad found out she is pregnant. Sadly, a week later, the occupation began bombing Gaza and planning an invasion.

Suad’s home and workplace were destroyed, and she and her husband’s family were displaced. While living in a cramped tent and subjected to the elements, Suad became extremely sick with gastroenteritis, a dangerous condition during pregnancy. Food is scarce, and they are all suffering malnourishment.

Suad’s due date is coming very soon, and she wants her baby to have a better life than the one she’s living now. She is trying to evacuate to Egypt, where she and her family will be safer and healthier.

The campaign has been open for several weeks, but has received almost no support. We are trying to get Suad and her family evacuated before she gives birth, so we have only a few weeks left. Please help give Suad and her family a better future. If you cannot give, please reblog this post and repost the link across all of your social media accounts.

Physically in Ireland While my Bleeding Soul is Held Hostage in Gaza

Being away from Gaza in the midst of a devastating war turns every second into a heart-wrenching vicious circle of pain. Simple everyday activities like having breakfast, drinking water, and going for a walk turn into heart-bursting torture. It is nearly impossible to focus on any of my studies or be productive when fear and guilt are holding my brain and soul as prisoners. Yet, as I was evacuated to Ireland to pursue my studies four months into the war, I had a responsibility to give lectures in my Irish college to students and staff to expose the crimes of apartheid Israel and tell the story of the daily suffering of my people during a genocidal war.

Please help this family!!!

Hamad and his family were displaced from north Gaza after their home was destroyed by the occupation. They were forced to flee south in search of safety, only for Hamad’s father to be martyred by the occupation after they arrived. They are homeless, and trying to raise funds to evacuate. Their family includes Hamad, his wife, their baby, Hamad’s sister, and their mother.

They have had their campaign open for over a month, but have received almost no response.

International pressure continues to mount on the occupation to withdraw from Rafah Crossing so it may reopen. When it does, we want Hamad’s family to be able to evacuate.

Please help us get this family to safety and stability as quickly as possible

In the middle of the hell of the ongoing war in Palestine Gaza we exist a lovely family of 3 people me Amjad, Rasmia and our little angel Ahmed a two and a half years old gorgeous boy.

We were having a great normal life before the war.

Those are some photos of my beloved little boy Ahmed playing like angels

All we want is to restore our lives back to live in peace again.
