with the season about to end soon, my mind keeps going back to ep 8. it was such a beautiful episode with profound confessions and moments, i adore that episode.

im really excited for them to finally get together properly after everything gets solved soon, but i really miss 2nd 2023 timeline sun jae. he was such an adorable idiot who was so down bad for literally more than a decade and then finally got his girl after the funniest night only to be stabbed like what even. he was such a happy giddy boi and they were so giggly and happy, it was truly a dream. he was so cute with the the whole digging up the time capsule and waiting for her, falling down into the water and then acting all 'top star' rizz, losing his mind about sol staying over and finally leaning in so preciously for consent and being so giddy the entire day. my heart just aches for him truly, he was everything and the future was everything they could've asked for. it's sad that technically the entire night they spent together is erased from the timeline they both will remember, it's so sad. the only silver lining is that they had one night for them to truly be with each other without any worries and just be absolute dumbasses with each other.

As I am currently rewatching Lovely Runner I am once again reminded of how I felt the first time I saw the show. The impact on me of the first 7 mins of ep 1. It reminded me of the time I didn’t want to live and how I coped with it. It was the same, whenever I was feeling that I wanted to kms, I’d tell myself “one more day. Let’s hold out for one more day”. I kept repeating that until I no longer use that phrase and genuinely want to live(for ART). It’s like this drama stared right into my soul.

Just like Sol who was thankful to idol Ryu Sunjae and became a fan of ECLIPSE, I turned to music specifically BTS music and became an ARMY. And just like Sol’s idol who told her to live, BTS has encouraged me to live too. This is why I immediately understood how Sol loved Ryu Sunjae in the first timeline. it was not romantic feelings. Sol loved Ryu Sunjae as the human being who encouraged her to live. And unless you’ve experienced that, that kind of love and connection cannot be explained.

Someone needs to check on Byeon Woo Seok because why does he keep choosing characters that die?????????

Everyday is a struggle with Ryu Sun Jae because he is a simp. He was born to teach us what an absolute pleasure it is to watch a man simp so hard that he needs a moment to look away and compose himself so that his downbad smile is not on display.

Downbadism is an art and Byun Woo Seok acts like he did a four year degree on it. You go king.

Another thing that absolutely is adorable is that Im Sol is still not in love with Sun Jae. Everything she does is out of the love she has for a person who got her through a hard time, someone she has grown to care about but as an idol. Right now while she has begun to see Sun Jae as the kid who lives next door, it is still her idol that she wants to save. And that to me is pretty nice because she isn't trying to impose herself on him or his life for any other reason but to keep him safe. There is no ulterior motive. And I think thats what makes her so likeable.

Special mention to tae sung, he is adorable in a way that not all second leads are and all his scenes with his banter with Sol are extremely fun to watch. In another drama, they would make an absolutely cute pair. They make a cute pair here too ngl. Love how she treats him like a naughty child and he calls her grandma
