Could I get a fanfic of Sebastian with a reader who ✨does✨ have a crush on him but ignores his advances because she happens to have a rather low self-esteem and simply "doesn't want to get the wrong idea" —if possible? if you can't either way it's cool .u.

I am so glad you're here! :D And hoo boy I can recognize myself in that for sure and this would 100% be me hands down. Also sorry for the tiiiiime this has taken meeeeee ugh life is. Annoying. "Milady, are you alright? You've been staring through that window for quite some time now." Jumping at the sudden voice, you turn around, gaze landing on the tall, elegant butler peeking in through your door. At your acknowledgment, he takes a step into your room, closing the door behind him with a soft 'click'.

"You have not moved from this spot since at least about half an hour ago. I saw you standing there while I assisted Finnian in the gardens." You look away, nervously picking at the skin around your nails. "I'm fine," you say with a forced laugh. "Just got lost in thought I guess." Slowly, Sebastian moves closer to you, making sure that you can clearly see him at any point. He closely monitors your body language, ready to stop the second he sees you flinching or turning away.

"Is it about my confession during the afternoon tea last afternoon?" He asks, hitting the nail on its head. He has to keep a chuckle in as you wince. "I meant no disrespect or harm, I can assure you," he continued. "And if I have made you uncomfortable with any of my advances, I-" "No!" You yelp, cutting him off. You snap around to finally look at him, eyes wide in a panic and hands thrown up in front of you, waving in dismissal. "I mean..." you continue in a timid tone, cheeks heating up at your outburst.

"You didn't make me uncomfortable at all, Sebastian," you say, eyes pleading with him to believe you. "It was actually really sweet and it made me extremely happy to hear. I just..." you trail off, looking down at the floor, unable to keep his gaze any longer.

"I just don't think you'd want to be with someone like me." Your voice grows increasingly quiet the longer the sentence goes on, and even Sebastian with his demonic powers and enhanced senses has to strain to catch your words.

"What?" he breathes, confusion and bewilderment etched on his face.

You turn back to face the window, wrapping your arms around yourself in an attempt of comfort, trying your hardest to keep the tears threatening to form at bay.

"I just... I'm nothing special. I'm not really pretty or smart... I'm clumsy and mess up, and I can't ever do anything right." Tears blur your vision as you try to keep your voice from shaking. "I don't know why you'd want to be with me," you confess, finally, shoulders shaking with silent sobs.

"You deserve someone better than me."

If he had a heart in the same way that humans do, Sebastian was sure that it would have shattered upon hearing those words. How had he missed your feelings in regard to yourself like this? The anger he felt aimed towards himself for missing such a crucial thing had completely blocked out the meaning of your words for a moment until they finally registered. You loved him. More than that, you'd avoided his advances and tried to push him aside not because you didn't reciprocate, but because you didn't think you were good enough.

In a flash, he's by your side, wrapping his strong arms around you and pulling you into his chest. Your hands weakly cling to his waistcoat, tears wetting the fabric of his shirt. "Sweetheart," he whispers, raising one gloved hand to pet your hair.

"I'm sorry. I'm sorry for not noticing how you felt about yourself and adding to that burden," he begins, holding your crying form close. "But you're wrong. About all of it." You cry harder and try to push him away, but he doesn't budge.

"You are special. So very special to me, darling, you don't even know half of it. You have the most beautiful soul of any person I have ever met. I love every single part of you. I love the color of your eyes, the way your entire face lights up when you smile. I love your mind and the way it works. Sure, you mess up sometimes, but every human does! It has never once made me think less of you. If anything, watching you trip over nothing only makes me see you as even more endearing than before." Relaxing his hold on you enough for him to bend down and look you in the eyes, he continues. "I love everything about you, flaws and all. I wouldn't change anything about you." One of his hands wipes away a few tears from your cheek before gently cradling it in his palm.

"There is no one that could be 'better for me' than you. You're perfect in my eyes. I hope that I can make you see that too, someday," he whispers.

More tears flow down your cheeks, and for a moment, Sebastian thinks that he has done something wrong, but then your face cracks into a smile. "Do you really mean that?" you ask meekly. "Or are you just saying it to make me feel better?" Instead of giving you a verbal answer, Sebastian leans in and presses his cold lips against yours. For a moment, you're unresponsive, frozen in shock. Then, your hands grab his shoulders, and you kiss back.

The feeling of your soft, warm lips against his is something Sebastian has dreamed of for so long. He can barely believe that it's happening. Your warmth, the softness of your body pressed against him is everything he ever wanted.

Possessive thoughts flash through his mind, solidifying what he already knew. This was where you belonged. By his side, in his arms. With him, forever. He would make sure that your thoughts never hurt you ever again. No matter how many times he had to reassure you, hold you, and help push those negative feelings aside, he would.

You were finally his. You finally reciprocated his feelings, and Sebastian would be damned if he let anything -- your own thoughts included -- hurt you.

Without You

summary: Bucky has a hard time moving on from his wife.

pairing: Bucky x Wife!reader You can imagine anyone I just like imagining Bucky or Captain Sy

“I haven’t been here before, have you?” His date asks him as they sit across the table from each other. He looks at her and tries to hide his disappointment. He’s not ready to be doing this yet but his friend talked him into it, said he needed to get back out there again because she’s not coming back.

“Yeah, it’s a favorite of mine.” He leaves out that it was actually a favorite of theirs, (him and his wife), he used to take her here most Sunday afternoons, they would sit towards the back and just enjoy each other’s company. She always ordered the same thing; well, she’d always have him order the same thing for her.

Looking at the woman across from him he wishes more than anything it could be his wife there instead. He just wants to talk to her like he used to. They always had the best conversations, even when they weren’t talking about anything in particular. But now when he texts she doesn’t answer, and when he calls he goes straight to voicemail, at least then he gets to hear her voice. Hey, this is Y/N; sorry I can’t talk right now, but leave a message and I’ll get back to you as soon as I can. He’s listened to her voicemail so many times just to hear her, she sounds so sweet and joyful, exactly like how she’s always been.

He'd give anything to have her back. He doesn’t want someone new; he just wants her. But he can’t have her anymore, there can be no fighting for their relationship or begging her to come back to him. She’s gone. Out of his life for good. She was the love of his life, his everything, he thought one day she would be the mother of his children, but apparently not. You can’t control fate, and even though he begged and pleaded and prayed for her to stay she just couldn’t.

He thinks of their wedding day, she was so beautiful that day, not that she wasn’t every other day as well, but she had a glow about her and a smile that was unforgettable, they were both so happy, he’d love to go back in time and relive that day just once. Everything was perfect then and she was still by his side.

He doesn’t know if he says a word the entire date, just trying to get through it as best he can. But she seems to have had a great time and after he drives her home, he walks her up to her door. She looks at him expectantly and he can tell what she’s waiting for, she gives up on waiting for him and leans in, but he pulls back, “Sorry, I- I’m actually married.” She scoffs as she shoves him back a little, calling him a rude name and rushing into her house, slamming the door behind her.

He drives home to a silent house. Nothing but a bottle of whiskey calling his name. He takes off his shoes at the door a habit picked up after being yelled at a number of times for forgetting to. He goes upstairs finding the safe, he opens it and pulls out what he needs before heading back down to the kitchen to locate that bottle of whiskey.

He sits down on the couch setting everything down on the coffee table in front of him. He picks up the picture frame from the table. He stares at the picture of him and his wife, it was taken just a couple of years before now, they were just engaged at the time, they had taken a weekend trip out of town. She wanted to take pictures of him with the sunset. She always loved taking pictures of him, it was one of her favorite things even though he hated it. He insisted she had to be in it too. He wrapped his arm around her waist, pulled her close, then kissed her as the camera’s timer ended and took the picture. It was her favorite picture of them. She always said it showed how much they loved each other. He wants to show her how much he loves her now; he didn’t mean to take her for granted. And if he were given another chance, he would never do it again.

He takes a drink and sets the now half empty bottle back down. Her dog, that she left behind along with him, comes and lays on his feet. “I know bud, I miss her too.” He says heartbroken, to the dog, patting its head before pulling a pack of cigarettes from his pocket. He places one between his lips then lights it. He inhales the smoke just once then sighs as he lets it out. “She always hated when I smoked.” He says out loud, shaking his head as he puts out the cigarette.

“I don’t think I can do this without her.” he doesn’t know if he’s talking to himself or the dog, but it doesn’t really matter. He grabs his phone off the coffee table, sitting back, he dials her number. Holding the phone to his ear he listens closely as it goes straight to her voicemail once again.

“Hey, this is Y/N; sorry I can’t talk right now, but leave a message and I’ll get back to you as soon as I can.”

“I’ll be there soon, sweetheart.” He whispers the last words he had said to her over the phone that night. He didn’t think they’d be the last or that he’d come home to find his wife collapsed in the kitchen with dinner burning on the stove. He never got the chance to say goodbye. By the time he got her to the hospital she was already gone. He knows they told him the cause, but he doesn’t remember, too dazed at the time to understand what the doctors were saying.

Pressing the cold metal of the barrel to his temple he mutters the words again, “I’ll be there soon, sweetheart. I promise.”

I weirdly have a high standard on what fics I can read without cringing and these writers are the ones on the top of my list. This is also for those new readers that are still kinda confused about where to start and where they can find writers with extensive and quality master lists. @littlefreya - "The Eve"

When I was lost and new to the Henry Cavill fandom it was her stories that were the final nail to my coffin that will bury me 6 feet under the fandom. Her master list is everything and more -- smut, ddlg, dark, fluff, domestic -- whatever you want it's there.

@onsunnyside - "My Sofia Coppola"

Sofia Coppola is my favorite director when it comes to imagery and aesthetics -- that is why I consider Sunny as my Sofia because I SWEAR the first time I read Tarzan!Steve fic it was like a movie and none of her stories have ever disappointed me. I still can't believe I read her stories for free.

@evansbby - "New York Times"

I've said it once and I'll repeat it, I check her blog every day like it's the morning news. I am so obsessed with her stories it is unhealthy. She writes the most delicious and varied Chris Evans and characters fics which makes it exciting but also comforting at the same time because at the end of the day -- they're all daddy.

@kinanabinks - "Spicy Shakespeare"

I actually took a lot of inspiration from her in one of my series -- she is that good. She writes the most delicious smut with the perfect splash of angst, tragedy, drama, and smut that will satisfy that itch in your head when you're looking for a bit of drama in your p*rn.

@comfortcap - "Guilty Comfort"

My daddy issues FLARE TF UP when I'm reading any of her (ddlg) fics. Such a sweet writer with the sweetest, fluffiest, and sometimes smuttiest fics that makes me feel guilty and comforted at the same time ;3 I love reading her stuff after a long and overwhelming day.

@junipermuses - "Lizzy Grant"

Lizzy Grant -- aka Lana del Ray -- is how I imagine her fics would be if it was a person. Sexy, effortlessly cool, and so put together. The subtle but easy-to-digest plots builds up the smut so much that it's so satisfying to watch it all unravel in the end.

@buckycuddlebuddy - "hey god ... me again"

Her fics immerse me so much that she has me giggling and kicking my feet as I read them. She is one of the few "x reader" fic writers that makes me want to cry and scream and beg whichever god is listening to move me in the alternate reality where I am the "reader" / main character in her story.

@sillyrabbit81 - "Mother Nature Called"

I swear every time I'm on my period you will find me vicariously scrolling through her master list because the way she writes the daddies (ESPECIALLY SY) are so comforting, dominant, and caring that it just turns my heart, womb, and coochie into mush.

@angrythingstarlight - "Pandora's Box"

Once you open her master list you will read nothing but her works for days (trust me I've been there) . She has an extensive collection of works that are a top quality. Her works can range from sweet to downright nasty to the fluffiest domestic scenarios that will have you grinning at your screen at 3 am.

@hansensgirl - "The Witch"

I forget feminism when I'm reading her works. I cannot believe I'm giggling over a man bossing me over and controlling my entire life?! And she somehow makes it work and that's how I've come to the theory that she pulls some witchcraft shit when she writes her stories but hey ... I'm not complaining.

@pellucid-constellations - "All Too Well (10 minute version)"

She writes the BEST angst and that's coming from me whose comfort film is "Love, Rosie". If you're looking for a well-developed plot, characters, and story arcs that end with a lot of groveling, comfort, and a happy ending -- look no further.

𝐁𝐈𝐎𝐆𝐑𝐀𝐏𝐇𝐘 Kellan Trebond's first exposure to anomalies and the backside of the Veil happened before their first memory. All residents of Inverness-shire see a photo of their family or a reflection, and then the cat's a bit out of the bag. Kel was always fascinated by the way the world worked. Other children found his questions weird or boring, adults found them annoying or tedious, and over the years, Kel came to have only two or three real friends in the entire town. The less he was able to learn from others, the more dissatisfied he became with the breadth and depth of his knowledge. So he joined the Foundation.

As might be expected, being assigned to Site-127 where he grew up meant that the knowledge he had collected came in handy. He made good impressions with the senior staff, worked hard, and found a long-distance mentor in another site's Lead Containment Researcher. At Site-127, Kel worked closely with the Disinformation Bureau and helped make long strides in new technologies used in creating and reinforcing Veil barriers at Nexus locations to keep anomalies in and the mundane out.

In his youth, Kel was particularly optimistic about the ability of the world at large to be integrated with SCPs of all types with the proper precautions and barriers. Unfortunately in their late twenties, an Autumn Solemnitas Festival event lead to the death of a local girl, S█████, the only childhood friend he was still in contact with. The unprecedented tragedy completely rewrote much of Kel's understanding of previously peaceful and non-aggressive SCPs. He needed to know why it happened.

A few years and conversations later, Kel was transferred to their mentor’s location, Site-120. Some of the ways his mentor talked about SCPs seemed odd or different from others, but as the years passed, it began to make more and more sense. Of course they should do everything possible to learn every detail to keep people safe. Of course it never hurt to tweak the containment just a smidgen, just to find out how the SCP would react - these were all Safe designations anyways.

With these conversations limited to late nights behind closed doors and no other shadows in their life, Kel's need to improve the situations of non-anomalous people drew the attention of those higher up, and they catapulted even higher than their mentor in rank. Despite this, the other was never far away, always willing to listen and give advice. Always.

The offer of a connection to the Hive was the broken rung that led to his downfall. It had taken Kel off guard for his mentor to imply such an association existed, was beneficial, and was present within the ranks of the Foundation. He'd asked for time to consider and gone back to his lab.

The evening was filled with thoughts of what could be learned from this group, how it would improve the work he and his mentor were doing, what things from other sites and procedures could be overlapped to do design-based testing without the use of D-Class employees. Every random thought and potential issue was tossed into their notes as their mind raced with the possibilities.

It was exhilarating. But careless. The small capital letters so frequently used by engineers in their notes and calculations were never supposed to go on actual documents, much less those leaving his desk. Only two days later, his supervisor had seen the suggestions for deviations to incite anomalous reactions from contained entities, and realized these design changes had been going on for almost two decades. She didn't approve, and apparently neither did the rest of the Foundation. Despite Kel begging to stand shoulder to shoulder, their stalwart mentor stayed only long enough to set up Kel's connections to the Hive before disappearing in the middle of the disciplinary review. Suddenly, Kel was alone in a sea of suspicious inspection - so reminiscent of the crowds of children who would stare but never play with him.

After the connection was forged, Kel knew as well as every other Hive member that his mentor’s cover had been blown - the abandonment hadn't been personal, but it still hurt. It was sheer luck and just a twist of reality by the group that kept him from getting caught as well. So many years later, and still they watch, listen, and learn from the inner workings of the Foundation. How would anyone know who else is learning when it happens with a thought?

Kel's character is based on the concept of loyalty overlap. The desire to do good work and excel at his job sometimes conflicts with his personal goals and relationships. How alone that conflict can make you feel. It's a trope I've seen here and there, and I thought it would be fascinating to see and develop in a setting where there's so much risk in the choice to not do things by the book.

ok so i like rule 63 fanart in general, right? and i was planning on making designs for rule 63 versions of every Twisted Wonderland student (and for those who dont know rule 63 means genderbent)

i just reblogged a great post by @/sebastianthemadlad talking about why they personally don't like the transfem vil headcanon and it makes really good points. and after reading it i was like "cool! how do i recontextualize this with the rule 63 au?" and had a crisis because... how in the world do i flip the script with vil and epel. (decided last minute to put it under a cut bc way too long and ramble-y)

epel is often mistaken as a girl and gets upset by this and wants to be more masculine because of his traditional upbringing. okay.

so if she's a girl instead, would she get mistaken as a boy instead and want to be more feminine? or maybe she is super feminine and still wants to be masculine but thinks its wrong for her to think that? there's not much of a conflict if she's just okay with being a tomboy or being perceived as a masc woman because her upbringing says women aren't supposed to be masc.

and then vil. oh vil oh vil. i love vil a lot. the platonic ideal of a feminine man. like if harry styles actually did what his fans claimed he did.

sebastian's post mentioned that if vil actually was a trans women, she'd be a tomboy, because the whole point of the character is breaking gender norms. and this really stuck out to me because i was gonna make my rule 63 version of schoenheit a trans woman. so what to do about valerie schoenheit.

making her a tomboy doesn't quite sound right to me, because i think of tomboy as a pretty sport-sy archetype, and she doesn't really scream sporty. like, she's an actress and a model, and she's all about being elegant and beautiful. so tomboy might not be the right word to describe her, but "elegant" and "beautiful" is not just for feminine aesthetics. she could just be a masculine woman. i also kind of half tossed out the idea in the tags i left on that post about nonbinary schoenheit and it's still all kind of mush in my brain right now and i might not take that concept with val totally but i might just steal part of that idea to make her more androgynous too? idk. i made this post because i haven't settled on anything yet
