🌓: Mama, Papa is hugging another girl!
🍊: So?
🌓: I thought you’re only supposed to hug the girl you love!
🍊: But Tsukiko, Papa loves everyone.
🌓: *starts to cry*
🍊: What’s wrong?
🌓: But Papa is supposed to love Mama and me only!
🍊: Is it because Tsukiko doesn’t want to share Papa?
🍖: Nami! Tsukiko! Look, the nice lady gave us this Panda Shark! I wonder if it tastes good?
🍊: We’ll be right there! Listen, Tsukiko, your Papa is the type to share with everyone, so you need to share too, okay?
🌓: *cries harder*
🍖: Tsuki-chan, look, it’s a Panda Shark! Wanna taste it? *picks her up* I really wanna taste it; don’t you? It looks delicious. What happened? Did someone hit you? Was it your Mama?
🍊: *hits him* Don’t assume nonsense! *exasperated sigh* The problem is that she’s just as selfish as you, Luffy.
🍖: *starts laughing* Did Mama give you her special brand fist of love?
🌓: *crying* Papa doesn’t love us the most!
🍖: What are you talking about? Aren’t I offering you first bite of the Panda Shark?
🍊: Luffy, let the Panda Shark matter go and take this more seriously! *takes Tsukiko from his arms* Listen, Tsukiko, I know this is hard for you to understand, but the capacity to care for people is inherently infinite and therefore cannot be used as currency.
🌓: *stops crying and tilts her head to the side in apparent confusion*
🍖: Tsukiko, look! It’s Panda Shark sushi!
🍊: Wait, that’s not seaweed! Are you trying to kill our daughter? *special brand fist of love*
🍖: Oh, I thought it was seaweed. My bad.
🍊: *bursts out laughing*
🍖: *laughs along*
🌓: *is still so confused but can’t help but giggle because laughter is contagious and Papa and Mama are being silly*
-TO BE CONTINUED-

“I guess record keeping is alright. I’ll be sure to capture your most charming moments.”
Tsukiko would LOVE this event. They'd give anything to be back in the forest. Since they grew up near a forest, they're pretty good at camping and wilderness navigation
Tsukiko's outfit is based on Evangeline or The Evening Star from Princess and the Frog! I thought it'd be fitting since they use stars when navigating through forests at night

Hello!!! Pleasure to meet ya!!
I only really wanna go by RemedyxTragedy but you can also just call me Rem or Remedy, whichever you prefer. I've been posting on tumblr for a good few months now on my other two accounts, however I've yet to emulate the online identity I've always wanted on platforms like this and so I decided, why not start anew and see where I get?
What I really strive to accomplish here is sharing my work with the masses, in a way that's 100% better and more organized than my previous attempts. Before I continue on about my stories, however, some basic and completely relevant facts about me are--
I prefer a much darker and grim style of writing so fluff, heartbalm, and mushy light-hearted stuff isn't really my cup of tea, although I do like wholesome from time to time just as a refresher from the more serious themes and subjects I often entrench myself in, to an unhealthy extent, so if I'm in the mood for it I might post such a story or two
I'm still very much in high school, but writing has been my passion for many years now. I enjoy playwriting and the regular creative style of writing, but as I've stated before my work will most likely only ever consist of Horror, mystery, or Thriller--it's what I'm best at.
Yes, I make art. I'm a rookie, by all means, but it's a very precious hobby of mine and so I make the most of it. My main blog is where I post art showcasing my main art style which is pretty vibrant and colorful so if you're interested you can check that out, but on this blog I'll only be posting art using the particular art style I adopted for Idiosyncratic, my other big story (name to be decided), and any other story I come up with along the journey. You'll see what I mean
I have a kitty cat, Tsukiko, and she's my pride and joy. Probably the most unnecessary detail I've shared about myself but in my eyes this is absolutely vital information the world should know about
I'm a Christian through and through, though I'm quite interested in a variety of religious and philosophical concepts which I incorporate in my writing, including of course heaven and hell, morality based on what is religiously acceptable compared to moral relativism, solipsism, theodicy, eternal recurrence, and many, many more.
I've been working on Idiosyncratic since seventh grade, technically six, so what I have now is the result of more than three years worth of heavy revision, redrafting, and complete reworking of my original idea. And let me tell you, what I had before is like the ugly grandfather of my current version of Idiosyncratic and if you were to place the two together side by side, you'd have no idea that they're related. The juxtaposition would be jaw-dropping, but ultimately all of this is to say that Idiosyncratic is very important to me and I pray that the final product, whatever it becomes, gets me somewhere in this world
Now, derailing from the mini tangent and while we're on the topic of Idiosyncratic, I'll give you all a pretty detailed summary of my idea and I'll make another separate post about my other big story that I recently started working on since this introduction post is already long enough. So, without further ado--
Idiosyncratic tells the dark story of Calixte Stanhope, a rather callous but…ordinary enough young man who awoke in a truly bizarre dystopian world after being pushed in front of an ongoing train while escorting his significant other home, a faceless and nameless woman he remembers only by her mere existence in this vivid memory, and throughout his journey he's haunted by a deep longing for her that's seems to drive his quixotic incentive to do whatever he must to survive
Rather than being welcomed by either the pearly gates of heaven or the fires of hell, Calixte found himself standing in the midst of the very strange and deceptive town of Baltimore, where everything from the largest bank to the tiniest coin is made entirely of cardboard and plastic, like the set for a play—mimicking the real thing while not actually being it. One can say, a rip off of everything in our world.
The citizens of the town too; although they're quick to greet you with a warm smile and talk with such an enticing charm that is sure to ensnare anybody desperate for answers to their odd predicament, they are not even close to being as ordinary as first impressions suggest--first impressions of which Calixte, for whatever reason, could see straight through. And soon enough, those illusions of a society you could trust fades into ash and the true extent of the young man's situation is ever so cruelly unveiled to him, and this reality would threaten twist and pervert the perceptions of goodness and evil he long since held dear to his heart, or at least he thought he did--he can't quite recall where his knowledge of civility, law, and order came from as vivid as they are to him, they seem feel almost like the figments of a hazy dream or fanciful concepts from a child's tale...
Regardless, what's become absolutely and abundantly clear to Calixte is that this world seems to glorify the things we don't, endorse the activity we shouldn't, and corrupt the ideas of right and wrong we have used to scaffold our civilizations from the ground up. Violence and madness is the way, entropy and discord is the center of worship, and every sad unfortunate soul who's found themselves in this world must abide by the matrix of the daily grind as they do here. The citizens of this delightful world are diehard fanatics for this way of living, lusting for violence so much to the point where its broadcasted on television, discussed fanatically in literature, and any horrid death calls for a grand celebration. The more irredeemable and atrocious something is, the more the residents of Baltimore revere it like sacred scripture, and the man who proudly encourages and orchestrates this madness is none other than the eccentric mayor, referred to as just “Whitman Sedgwick"--his pen name, as he only seems to make himself known through various propaganda, manifestos, and biographies littered about the town.
The unlucky few who wound up in Baltimore under bizarre circumstances similar to Calixte’s, properly labeled as “actors”, have to routinely partake in abhorrent acts for the public’s sick entertainment otherwise more than just their dignity, humanity, and pride will be torn from them. And eventually, once you're fully proven yourself to be of no use to Whitman's design, you are properly "dealt with"
It’s a horrifying ordeal to most, but a paradise to some of humanity’s greatest degenerates, and that small minority is powerful, hungry, and determined to survive by any means necessary--no matter how low. Thus leading Calixte, an obstinate man with an ambition, to meet people he never would’ve otherwise, creating a fragile alliance that will either make or break this band of deplorable lowlives, all depraved in their own ways but alike in their desire for freedom and above all, answers.
As he begrudgingly adjusts his mind to this new world, he quickly realizes his dangerous willingness to do anything and everything he must in order to escape the clutches of the Hegemony and Craze and to reunite with the one woman so dear to him. However, Calixte never would’ve thought that the madness of this world stretch far, far beyond just the glamorization and capitalization of evil. It seems, there's more than one person pulling the strings--its just a question of, who exactly is at the end of the cross brace?
OOOOoooh so ominous
Also, PLEASE, give me feedback.

I watched Junji Ito Maniac: Tales of the macabre and here's what I thought of each episode 2/3
Here's Part 2 to my review on Junji Ito's new netflix anime! As always Spoilers under the cut Part 1 / Part 2 / Part 3 / Review
Tumblr media
Continuing on with what i thought of each episode...
Episode 5: Long Hair In the attic Cont. Long hair in the attic, I remember this story and it's always felt sorta...Sad to me? From the way the episode starts and we see them interact it's really depressing...She obviously cared about this man but he seems to toss her out like there's no issue at all. One thing I really noticed was how they draw blood in this one, It looks really nice. However I think Chiemi's head isn't as pretty when depicted in the anime as it was in the manga however the scraping sounds are definitely more cringe-worthy when you actually get to hear them. Episode 7: Tomb Town I believe this one is actually based on the new translation from VIZ Media, Which as of writing this isn't out yet. I haven't read an online scantlation of it but I was fairly excited to see what it was about going in! The story is actually really interesting to me? I thought it would be sort of boring but...It was really enthralling. The twist was wild to me! The use of 3D for the corpse was actually more interesting to me than the use of it for scenery like cars!
Episode 8: Layers of Fear; The Thing That Drifted Ashore A story I've not read. Surprised yet? I'm not. One thing I thought was neat was seeing the iconic layered image in the doctors office! I've seen images of this manga online. I think the concept of someone having skin line a tree or an onion is kinda cool! The image of the peel was sort of cool but at the same time the thought is painful. I remember i had skin on my foot one time that peeled up but it was so deep...It made me think of that time and it made me cringe. the image of her dragging the blade down her skin...This whole scene was vile and made my skin crawl and my stomach turn I think this was one of the best moments of the series so far. Again with the thing that drifted ashore i felt i had read this one before? However that may have just been the feeling of gyo. Another interesting thing is Tadashi is the name of the protagonist from gyo. Nothing else interested me much aside from the idea of human beings potentially being like parasites.
Episode 9: Tomie: Photo I was most ecstatic for this episode! Tomie is a special interest of mine. My wife loves Tsukiko's character so we were both highly critical coming into this episode. They were worried about Tsukiko's voice as they had seen Demon Slayer and heard her voice actress play Nezuko but we were both surprised by the deeper voice acting the actress did for the character as it was always the sort of manner we imagined the character would speak in. Another thing I'm happy about is how this series seems to be taking Tomie almost in order (Skipping the chapter Basement)! First Tomie, then Morita hospital and now we get chapter 4 Photograph! I can't help but hope for another part or even Tomie to get its own anime but for now I was thrilled with this chapter of Tomie's animated story given both My wife and I had qualms with Tsukiko's strange redesign? Her grown out buzz/pixie cut is swapped with a side swept one? As well as her eyebrows being much thicker than remembered initially... I was also mildly off put by how Tomie's voice changed between series? It's still Monica Rial but she's changed how she speaks for the character. It's deeper for some reason? Which while not a bad change still a strange one to me. One of the most disappointing changes in my wife's opinion was the lack of a willy wonka shirt. (RIP tsukiko's willy wonka t-shirt) I also kind of hated that they seemed to cut certain parts or lines? I know that they have to mind time but they miss the scuffle at the door when tsukiko goes to join her mother. They also miss getting to see tsukiko's mother's face as well as learning her father is in the military and at his post. Small details that feel..Like they just flesh out tomie's universe more. While the episode is very nearly shot for shot there's a lot that changed (To someone like me who is...a little obsessed <3) There's almost too many changes to over look.

Katashi makes his own nichirin arrows!! He learned from the swordsmiths how it was done with the scarlet ore, but because he only has to craft arrowheads, he can usually get it done in a few days/nights.
A collab I did with @serenesaku (the chibi is hers)
Tsukiko walked in on him, but he didn't notice her come in XD
The man gets comfortable and forgets he is in the presence of a lady...but I don't think she's complaining.

'the night circus' by erin morgenstern
Tumblr media
Back when life was simpler, I had this book from the Disney Fairies series (anyone who remembers those books gets fairy dust sprinkled in their face by me, a la Taylor Swift performing Bejeweled). There was this one about Dulcie, a baking-talent fairy (not to be confused with cooking-talent fairies, because those are two very different disciplines), who bakes a cake that is exactly what whoever’s eating it wants.
Like, as in a flavour of cake. You don’t bite into it and have your debt vanished or mental illness cured. It’s not that powerful. It’s just… cake. But, like, a really good one.
I like to think of The Night Circus as that cake, as I like to do with my other favourite books. I can’t say what exactly it is that elevates a book to being a favourite of mine, but once I read it, I know it.
It’s one that’s markedly harder to describe than others for sure. It’s more about the vibes. There’s a dreamlike quality to it all that doesn’t fully fade even when you’ve turned the last page.
Our main players are Celia and Marco, two illusionists (which sounds so much more romantic than ‘magicians’, I cry) and star-crossed lovers; and Le Cirque des Rêves (‘the Circus of Dreams’, and never has something been so aptly named), for it is just as alive as the human characters.
The side characters were just as delightful- Bailey and the twins and Chandresh and Tsukiko- and even Prospero and Mr. A. H. They were just as brilliant and vibrant as the ironically monochromatic circus.
The magic system of the universe was one I enjoyed especially; it was intricate rather than complex. You could either be born with it, or it could be taught. And above all, it made you believe.
I don’t want to be that person who bases a work’s merits solely off the representation of minorities, but I do think it’s a treat to find well-rounded characters of colour, or queer characters, or if you’re lucky, characters who are both- and this was a nice touch. Their queerness and ethnicities weren’t points to constantly bring up, but just as much of an aspect of their characters as their white, heterosexual counterparts, and it’s nice that it wasn’t made a huge deal. And also that they had personalities outside of being gay and Asian.
Normally, I’m not one for long-winded descriptions, but this was one of the rare instances where it worked. And oh, did it work beautifully! It’s been a while since I’ve wanted to live inside the pages, and the second-person chapters did a splendid job of making me crave it.
Every word was poetry, though I like to think of it as not the way a lot of other supposedly poetic prose is. I think of it more as meticulous; created moreso than constructed. You don’t want to miss a word, because each only adds to the ambience.
I could call it beautiful, well-written, unputdownable- all adjectives I found to be true. But I think the best way I could describe it- and as I’m sure a lot of my rêveurs would agree- is dreamy.

"Tsukiko, how much longer do you think I'll live?" Sensei asked abruptly.
I met Sensei's gaze. His eyes were placid.
"A very, very long time," I cried out reflexively. The young couple sitting on the next bench turned around in surprise. Several pigeons took flight.
"You know that's not the case."
"But still, a long time."
Sensei took my left hand in his right hand, his dry palm enveloping mine.
"And would you not be satisfied, if it weren't a long time?"

Tsukiko Kawashima - Holiday Wear SSR Vignette 3
The vignette to go with Tsukiko's Holiday Wear SSR Card for the fan event created by @bunnwich
Part 1 | 2 | 3
Tumblr media
“Oh! Presents. Yes, let’s go inside,” The two hurried back into the warm Ramshackle dorm. They made their way to the dining room where the presents were
Ramshackle Dorm - Dining Room
Tsukiko picked up one of their presents. “Open mine first!” Jack opened each of Tsukiko’s presents and went by size. In the first one, he found a small, glazed ceramic pot. There was an intricate design painted onto it that resembled the sun. “This pot is perfect for one of my smaller cacti. I think I’ll put the hoya cactus in here, the one shaped like a heart,”
The next present Jack opened contained products for tail care. “This gift was a last-minute decision, and maybe a little biased. I really like your tail so I got this to help you take care of it and keep it fluffy!” Tsukiko sheepishly admitted
“It reminds me of the products my mom gets for her tail. She makes my dad help her. So, maybe the next time you stay at Savanaclaw, you can help me?” Jack suggests to which Tsukiko nodded and smiled
The third gift contained two necklaces. One with a small gold sun and one with a small silver moon. “Matching necklaces?” Jack asked to which Tsukiko nodded. “The sun is for you and the moon is for me!”
Jack recalled the time Tsukiko mentioned how the two of them were like the sun and moon, it made him happy knowing it was still on their mind. Though he was concerned at how much money was spent on his presents. “I love it, and it’ll go good with my gift,”
The final gift had the item Tsukiko worked the hardest for. A handmade sherpa-lined jean jacket. “I made a jean jacket because you can do a lot with it. Embroidery, patches, painting, but the point is to make you something that you can add your own personality to it, let it change as you change,” Tsukiko gave Jack a warm smile. “Oh! And I made it sherpa-lined, because I know it gets cold where you live. I know I already gave you a jacket, but I really wanted to give you another one, something that you can customize yourself as we grow together,”
Jack set down the box with the jacket inside and stood up. He wrapped his arms around Tsukiko, pulling them in for a tight hug. “I love it Tsukiko, and everything that you gave me,” He pulled away a bit, just enough so he could place a kiss on their cheek
Their face became red from blushing. “I-I’m glad you like it. . . I wanted to make sure that if I were to give you something, it’d be made to the best of my abilities” The two stared into each other’s loving eyes silently, enjoying the peaceful moment between just the two of them
Eventually, Jack broke the silence. “You should open my gift now, it’s not as great as a handmade jean jacket, but I hope you’ll like it,” He pulled away from Tsukiko’s arms and grabbed the small box on the table
Tsukiko carefully unwrapped the small present and revealed a dark blue box. They opened up and were met with two nearly identical rings. They were both silver and similar in width with gold details. But one ring had sun details and the other had moon details. “Jack. . .? Rings. . ?” They looked up at their boyfriend with a shocked look on their face
Jack took the moon ring out of the box and gently held Tsukiko’s left hand. He carefully slid the ring onto their ring finger. “I wanted to give you this ring to show that I’m forever devoted to you. Wolf beastmen only pick their partner once and are faithful to them for the rest of their life. I’ll always be by your side and these couple rings are meant to symbolize this promise,” Jack took the sun ring and placed it on his own finger
Tsukiko teared up once again, but this time for a good reason. They let a sob escape their mouth before jumping up and hugging Jack tight. “I love it, Jack! I love you so much!” They cried through tears. “I’ll always be by your side too, I promise. Forever and always,”
Jack smiled softly as he hugged them back, “I love you too. . .” He whispered loud enough for them to hear. He set Tsukiko down and pulled them in for a sweet kiss. He stayed that way for as long as he could hold his breath
When they pulled away, the two lovers’ faces were bright red from blushing. Tsukiko let out a laugh as they rested their forehead on Jack’s chest. “I love you so much, Jack. . . I’ve never received anything as sweet as this before,”
“I wanted you to know how serious I am about you, and about us,” Jack played with Tsukiko’s hair as he held them. “The rings took so long to get here because I got them custom-made to look just like my parent’s couple’s ring. I want our to be as great as theirs,”
“Really!? Awww that’s so sweet, I’ll cherish it every day,” Tsukiko looked up at Jack with the brightest smile. Their eyes ended up drifting toward the window. “Do you think we can go stargazing? The moon looks beautiful and the sky is clear,”
“Yes we can,” Jack held Tsukiko’s hands once more. He led them through the halls and grabbed a blanket before leading them out into the cold night. After setting up the blanket and laying down, the two looked up at the night sky. They gazed at the stars and moon, the witnesses to their love
