When your friends understand that you have limited social capacity and that you still love them even if it’s been a few months since you’ve last hung out together

INTJs and affection

INTJs aren’t the mushy, lovey-dovey type. We value our independence, and even entering into a relationship can be a challenge for us. So, it’s important for our partners to understand that we aren’t naturally affectionate. What we appreciate more is their support in the relationship, opening up to us, and seeking our advice. These things help us build deeper connections and better understand each other, and of course, be more open to physical contact.

Speaking from my own experience as an INTJ woman, my love language revolves around quality time and acts of service. Physical touch is something I’m quite reserved about, and I have strict boundaries when it comes to who can touch me. Usually, friends and family aren’t allowed, it is very much reserved to my romantic partner. So if someone oversteps those boundaries, I tend to pull away and have a conversation about it.

Me, chosing a new book to read: I don't just want to be hurt. I want to be devastated. I want emotional damage of incomprehensible measures. Can you do this for me, book?

In a committed Relationship...

INTJs are definitely the type who'd tell their partner to shut up when they act cute and flirty.

Don't worry... they actually really like it. They just can't handle feeling giddy and they have difficulty wrapping their heads on how to respond to your affectionate advances. They're skimming the back of their head on how to best counter you. But they're failing miserably in this category. (They're INTJs afterall)

But if you're just starting dating or getting to know each other. Don't even try to win them with your flirting game. They'll cross you off their list without hesitation.

My biggest pet peeve in the world, right after stepping on a wet spot with socks on, is finding out later that something was far, far simpler and easier that I could have guessed. It's working with people who think I'm making things far harder than they have to be, but I'm thinking "surely, you jest! It can't possibly be that easy, that simple!" Is the bar too low or do I expect too much? I function too high intellectually to comprehend such small, simple, miniscule, tiny, little things. It drives me nuts!

That and over packing for trips to anywhere for any length of time.

As a child I knew that the adults in my life didn’t understand me. What was even more shocking was the the fact that no one ever seemed to try to understand. I was also picked on a lot by my teachers. It’s funny now that I think back, but I’m sure they didn’t appreciate a little kid making suggestions on how to do their job more efficiently.

it's hard to be too self-conscious. u can't be angry when you've to. u can't be sad when you've to. there's this constant realisation that whatever u r experiencing is some momentary illusion created by the situations at that particular time and, for sure, will go away after a while. the moment when u r experiecing such things, when u r trying to be invested in it, there's a continuous voice from inside that hits u like a brick to bring u into reality. and all this looks like u r less empathetic. but in reality, u do experience every kind of emotion. but it all seems pointless, nonsense to show it on ur face. sometimes I think foolish ppl r more blessed than intellects.

Relax guys... INTJs are not mad... They're simply absorbed in their current material and concept of interest that it ends up weighing between their eyebrows making them look scrunched up and grumpy

A newly formed opinion I have is that the typical escape room is not designed for the intj. What's meant to be a fun intellectual experience turns into an hour of paranoid analysis of floor tiles and door knobs! These are not clues but the intj mind can't handle simple or moderate complexity at all. Ultra max difficulty or nothing is the hill we die on.

Two intjs in a puzzle room is just sad.
