The end of classes/preparing for finals is absolutely kicking my ass right now, so I'm repeating to myself the work ethic/words of wisdom that my family instilled in me since I was young.

From my grandfather: "work hard, but not too hard (and always brush your teeth)."

And from my mom: "it doesn't have to be good, it just has to be done."

This next week and a bit will suck but I'm gonna power through it and then it'll be over!

Finals-season reminder to please, for the love of academic integrity, cite your damn sources. Academic libraries have convenient online guides to help with this sort of thing. And your exhausted professors will be fully justified in failing anything that is plagiarized.

may 6th-9th

i've once again fallen a bit behind on everything i wanted to post here, but here's what i can gather for you guys:

i've been very very slowly progressing with the philosophy course, i'm gonna pick things up from now. i made myself a rolling study task list on the back of my study notebook, and i'm hoping it'll give me some extra oomph.

i planned to bake blueberry bran muffins like 4 months ago so, here they finally are! super easy to bake, i'm wondering why i can't pull myself together faster. so that was a little bright spot in my week even if it's shadowed by my unlimited procrastination.

today's post, i promise, will be up this evening!

tried to get my habits back on track and struggled but a little is better than nothing!

accompanied my mom at the eye doctor two times so she didn't have to wait alone <3 (and i got an excuse to read nietzsche)

pchem is really weird to study, we basically just write formulas and considerations about said formulas and that's... it??

yesterday we had a surprise birthday party for a friend and I met a guy who studies "pure" chemistry and we had a nice talk!

As a stay-at-home mom of one, I'm thrilled for this opportunity to expand my skills. I've always loved learning new things, whether it's knitting, gardening, or coding. Now I get to take my self-education to the next level!

My goals are to stay focused, avoid burnout, and find a healthy balance between studying and family. I know there will be challenges ahead, but I'm determined to succeed.
