It took me a little while to warm up to his style but Jorge Jimenez is now one of my favorite artists for Tim. He can go from having Tim's Robin look like a bad-ass in one panel then let his youth and innocence shine through in the next. Wonderful!

Since so many people are asking akdhdk I use procreate. And this is all done using the round brush and the finger smudge tool.

I know this isn't ninjago guys but I finished this 17 hour painting for my art class and I was proud of it so...enjoy.

For the past two years I have been apart of a volunteer club that visits the United Learning Center (ULC) in Phang Nga, Thailand, a school for Myanmar migrant families. I heard so many stories there that moved me in such a way that I promised them that I would tell the world about it. I was honestly astonished that it didn’t have more coverage already. The world had seemed to forget them. So here I drew some of my interactions with them, my friends.

By sharing this post I hope to raise awareness both about the issue in general and to talk about the FED. I have worked with this organization for the past two years and they are the nicest people you have ever met. Their sole purpose is to help the people around them, the people struggling because of this war. They have changed so many lives and will continue to change more. But any and all help is appreciated, and I urge you to do whatever you can to do so.

I’m starting an oil painting class this week, any tips?

Oh man i'm really not qualified to be giving super good tips but im gonna try.

First of all, in all of my paintings I used water-based oils. These are basically just oil paints that you can use with water. So in a way its easier. I have done genuine oil painting before but I find it really difficult, especially with the mixing and cleanup.

But I still have some advice regardless that I think can apply to most types of painting but especially oils. Y

First things first, sketch out your piece but don't make the sketch too detailed. I never make it detailed because I want to give my brain the opportunity to fill in the gaps itself, to make the painting more unique. It also makes the process more fun instead of trapping you to your sketch :) And MAKE SURE TO DO AN UNDERPAINTING!!!! A wash layer of either red or blue!!! Trust me, it'll help so much.

Then, make sure you block out all the major shapes in your painting. This part is super messy, but its fine because you paint over it anyways. Just block out buildings, subjects, shadows, and major highlights.

You'll always hear artists say to paint from dark to light, but I've always done the opposite. Painting from dark to light is a very professional thing and trust me it really won't help you that much. Painting from light to dark lets you see each layer how it is and just makes more sense.
