Headcanon that the Avatars of the Dark all have fully black eyes!! Oh, and here's Manuela Dominguez, our favorite space mad scientist turned smad wet cat.

I chose to represent her as she appears in MAG143: Heart Of Darkness. Not the confident and starry-eyed idealist she used to be, but an angry woman who's lost everything and who will hurt with whatever she has. Wait I can't recall, was she eaten by the Distortion? Fs in the chat if that's the case. Althought I don't think she would have survived much longer than that anyways lmao

ok I have a headcanon that after jon read the final statement from jonah which kick-started the apocalypse, he lost it. Went catatonic at first and then he lapsed into sobs and silent screams wretched from wells of true agony and torment so deep it hurt to look at. He was like the sun during that time, inconsolable and unreachable. And martin held him through it all, because of course he did. Stroking his hair and whispering what comforts he could, knowing that jon was beyond his reach.

And eventually, bit by bit, jon came back to himself. The guilt and the agony and the betrayal faded into something mishapen and ugly that he was able to push down and swallow hard and thats where we came in, at the start of season 5. And they never talked about it again, and jon never thanked martin (because he couldn't) but that was ok because Martin had never expected him to. Wasn't even sure he deserved it. Wasn't even sure how much jon remembered of his own grief. It just became a silent, unspoken thing between them. A statue in the garden of their history.

But sometimes, late at night, in this strange new world with this stranger still new version of the man he adored, martin had this strange, creeping feeling that maybe those long, stretched out days in the cabin were jon screaming out the last of his humanity.

i couldnt sleep last night, so here is part 1 of my personal TMA character headcanons that i wrote at 1:30 in the morning

SPOILERS FOR VARIOUS MOMENTS THROUGHOUT THE MAGNUS ARCHIVES, READ AT YOUR OWN RISK

Jon (they/he)

Age (at start of canon): 29, but successfully lies about their age by a good decade to seem more “professional” (and somehow gets away with it, probably because his hair was already slowly graying by 21-22)

Height: 5’5 - 5’6 (165-168 cm)

Sexuality: bi/ace

Gender: transmasc nonbinary

Martin (he/him)

Age (at start of canon): 30; only a couple months older than Jon

Height: 6’1 (185 cm)

Sexuality: gay (Martin uses it as a blanket term)/ace

Gender: trans male

Tim (he/they/she)

Age (at start of canon): 30

Height: 5’10 (178 cm)

Sexuality: pan/poly (yes im projecting, what of it) with some flavoring of aro-spec, (not sure what tho)

Gender: transmasc demiguy

Sasha (she/they)

Age (at start of canon): 31

Height: 5’10 (178 cm), but usually wears heels for no other reason than to be petty and taller than Tim

Sexuality: bi/aro

Gender: she’s not quite sure actually. had a bit of a crisis post-coffin and is now just confused

Age (at start of canon): 27

Height: 5’4 (162 cm)

remember, these are my personal headcanons. you dont have to agree with them, but this is how i choose to view these characters. also, if there are any issues with this post, take that up with 1:30 am me. i also used a converter + rounding for the centimeters, so if those are incorrect, please tell me the right ones so i can fix it

I’ve been thinking about the whole “no connections with the outside for archival assistants” and I came to a conclusion.

Tim’s parents cut him off after Danny disappeared in part because they blamed him for Danny’s probable death. It propelled Tim even further into research, hoping he could help rather than being a sign of despair.

I personally think Jon sims should be able to harness the powers of every entity like fuckin Ben 10.

I want a biblically accurate angel head, so many glowing eyes and rotating rings, but he changes settings depending on his foe.

Smiting Helen? The Eye setting is fine, she’s the throat of the delusion and the Eye pulls on the thread of a genuine lie to unravel her.

Simon Fairchild tries to jump into the void to escape though? Nuh uh, you threatened to throw my boyfriend off a roller coaster. The rings around his head rotate, he switches to Buried mode to counter the Vast, and a coffin falls out of the sky to eat Simon, and like the sunken sky they negate each other so hard that he perishes
