Hate starts young. Kids are being taught to be violent towards trans people. Recently many trans teens have been attacked by other kids. The most recent reported transphobic attack done by children was done by a group of 10 youths around 12 years old. The children who were attacked were only 3 years old. They were targeted because their father is a transgender man.
The toddlers were reportedly subjected to verbal and physical abuse after a group of about 10 youths, aged around 12, tripped and pushed them, while they were in park. The youths also launched transphobic insults at the youngsters, making fun of their father before he moved in to take them home.
The twins didn’t know what to do. They’re only three. One of these young people had pulled one of the girls off one of the rides in the park at the outset which really upset her. They followed them out of the park at Glenbryn and started tripping them up. One of the twins was pushed into a wall and hit her head. It was so upsetting and frightening for these children and their dad.
Belfast trans woman Adrianne Elson, who has spoken out before on issues affecting the trans community, said the incident was “horrific.” She said: “These were children themselves doing this, some of them around 12-years-old, who should have known better but it went on and on as they tried to go home. They were saying to the twins ‘your dad’s a girl’ at first and laughing but it just got worse and worse and more and more threatening.”

something i rarely see addressed on here in discussions of transmasculine bathroom issues is the difference between men's and women's rooms, and the way it excludes transmascs with vulvas.
I am a trans man pre-surgery of any kind. ideally i would like meta with UL, but for euphoria reasons primarily- STPs are expensive and a hassle, so i have no issue sitting to pee. i am 11 months on T and do not pass. using the women's room bothers me, but i live in the southern US so it's safer. i have no issue dealing with it to quickly piss and leave. what i do have an issue with, is when someplace claims to be trans inclusive, but in practice, is not.
i had a pretty awful night. my boyfriend and i had been planning to try out a local goth nightclub for weeks, and we finally got the chance to go. when walking in, there was a sign on the door that said "no racism, no homophobia, no transphobia..." etc. i was excited, thinking that i may actually be able to use the men's restroom for once! a few drinks in and the urge hit- i was feeling anxious, so i asked a staff member if it would be safe for me to use the men's room. "yes of course, we are very inclusive, there are plenty of trans people here." in i went and....
5 urinals, and one single stall- which was out of order.
i turned around and used the women's room. i had no choice. of course, there were 6 stalls in there.
this is not the first time i have experienced issues with men's rooms having a single stall- at a gay strip club, i ran into a similar problem, where the single stall in the men's room was not out of order, but instead, had a line of 20+ people. i, and a few other guys, opted to use the women's room instead of waiting (clearly this design flaw hurts cisgender men as well!)
men's rooms being built only with people with penises in mind, and often all but excluding anyone who needs a stall, is an issue that needs to be addressed far more often.

Kirkcaldy reportback!
On Saturday the 18th of May 2024 a group of antifascist members of the community disrupted an event organised by Women Won't Wheesht in Kirkcaldy.
These people were workers, locals and members of the public. They were transgender, cisgender, gay and straight. They were unaffiliated with any organisation, group or political party. Their actions were their own and were organised on their own initiative. They acted to protect their community from an intolerant group who aim to plant a seed of cruelty, a seed of hate that would grow and overshadow everything around it, which would poison the earth and kill off wildflower and bramble and thistle alike.
"A community is made up of many different types of people," one member of the group said, "and what makes a community strong is celebrating the diversity of its members and standing in solidarity with those who need it most. Trans people are one of the most marginalised groups of people in society, and yet groups like Women Won't Wheesht seek to sow division in our local communities by painting trans people as a danger. Trans people are part of the fabric of our communities and groups like Women Won't Wheesht have no place in inclusive and safe communities. We all need to stand up against hate speech and protect our neighbours and friends."
Women Won't Wheesht is a hate group which peddles anti-transgender bigotry. Their events, veiled under vague 'concerns about women' have historically been attended by anti-abortion anti-feminist groups such as the Scottish Family Party, homophobes such as the Destiny Church, and members of the fascist Scottish Defence League. Their members also attended rallies organised by the neo-nazi Kelly Jay Keen.
Women Won't Wheesht's rhetoric calls for the elimination of drag queens, transgender and nonbinary people from public life. It is the same rhetoric which was used to murder members of the gay community during the AIDS epidemic. It advocates both social murder (murder by inaction from the state) and violence against transgender people. To achieve this, they bully and harass transgender people in society and online. They publicly share people's addresses and names. They accuse all transgender people of being sexual predators, thereby toxifying and dehumanising them so they are seen as less-than-human. They lobby politicians to spread their hate and appear legitimate.
The anti-transgender reactionary movement in the UK has been called explicitly genocidal by the Lemkin Institute for Genocide Prevention.
We, as proud members of our community, denounce all genocides and any who participate in them. We stand for a world where everyone has the right to speak their mind, where everyone has the right to be who they are. We stand for a world where gay, straight, brown, white, man, woman, and everything in between can live and love together. We cannot stand by and allow Women Won't Wheesht platform to spread hate and cruelty. We are fighting for a kinder, more caring world.
If the members of Women Won't Wheesht reach out to their local queer community, if they choose to talk, and listen, and learn, if they come with humility and gentleness, they will be greeted and welcomed with kindness and respect. We understand that many of those who come to join these movements have done so under a deception. They have been told that their alienation is not due to the United Kingdom's misogynist society and the social murder and violence of neoliberal capitalism, but due to transgender people existing. Many of us have been caught and deceived by such lies too. We have learned, and we have grown.
But if Women Won't Wheesht continue their campaign of violence, they will meet resistance. Their platform will be taken away, because it is by the grace of the people of Scotland that they have it in the first place, and the people of Scotland will not allow genocide of any kind.
At the action on Saturday, members of the public were overwhelmingly in support of transgender liberation.
One organiser said "People of all ages stopped to speak to the outreach team and expressed disgust at the transphobia from the Women Won't Wheesht incomers." Over one hundred trans flags were distributed to supportive people of Kirkaldy.
SOLIDARITY. LOVE AND KINDNESS.
ANTI-FASCISTS OF SCOTLAND.

just a reminder that transphobia is a minority hate movement, but it’s backed by all our major political parties and nearly all of our media!!! (x)

i've been struggling to word this cuz of brain fog but the "lol when the trans get mad at me for misgendering them even though they look like [extreme stereotype of agab]" posts really irritate me because they only exist to be mean and transphobic. Like its meant to misdirect from the sentiment that you should respect people's pronouns to "well howww could you expect me to GUESS your pronouns right when you look like that!!" even though thats like, hardly a scenario that exists and usually people get upset when you refuse to respect them after being informed. They do not want to admit out loud they just want to judge and be mean to trans people lol.

Okay, a lot of people who use “transandrophobia” don’t like when people use “tme/tma” terms and vice versa. We call each other’s terms inherently transphobic in one way or another. But clearly nobody who’s genuinely using those terms is trying to be transphobic, that’s not why they’re using them. Can some of us who are willing get together and discuss why each other feels the need to use these terms, what they mean to us, and problems with their use that could potentially be worked on? I don’t think everyone is just going to stop using these terms overnight. Instead we can try to figure out which parts of them work and which don’t together. Some people could clearly use a term to discuss the specific ways transmasculine spectrum people face oppression. Some people could clearly use a term to describe the way they experience transmisogyny. I feel like these things can coexist. Feel free to constructively talk about them with me.

For context I got permission to show everyone these from @half-oz-eddie
I'm sorry anon, are you unaware about what a Maid Cafe is? The point is people regardless of gender are either maids or butlers. I'm SO SO sorry your transphobic ass feels so uncomfortable about the concept of male characters wearing nail polish and lip stick
And that "some have lipstick that's too much" that's Lord Billy, an Resident Evil Village x Stranger Things AU yours truly (me). Lord Billy is genderfluid.
You're frankly a coward to sit there on anon and type those words to the @harringrove-cafe which was designed to bring joy to people's day. We don't tolerate this type of behaviour towards the Cafe OR in the harringrove and Billy Hargrove fandom in general.
Come off of anon and say that shit with your WHOLE chest since you have plenty of words to say about what Billy and the other male characters should and shouldn't wear. Cisgender males wear lipstick and nail polish in real life, does that give you the heebie jeebies too?
You're actually pathetic, get the fuck out of here and back to the vile river of hate that you came from. You're not welcome here.
To everyone else: please show the Cafe alot of love. We artists all had a fun time drawing these for the maid Cafe event!

the amount of terfs yelling at me on my feminism post is really highlighting how much of an issue it is that radfems are prioritising transphobia over everything else
i’m out here trying to post my thoughts on women’s oppression and folks are falling over themselves to yell about how trans women aren’t affected by any of those issues so they must be men and i should just accept it. nobody is actually talking about the issue or about women, they’re busy forming a queue to remind everyone how much they hate trans people, or bringing up trans women as a gotcha as if the fact that trans women aren’t affected by certain aspects of misogyny is some kind of big win that makes them undeniably correct
women are not defined by the oppression they face. feminist issues are still feminist issues when they don’t affect women who were assigned male at birth, in the same way that they’re still feminist issues when they don’t affect white women, or rich women, or women who don’t have children. you wouldn’t come onto a post and start shouting about how a particular issue only affects cis women in certain circumstances, so why are you centring your hatred of trans women in discussions about feminism?
you care far more about making trans women’s lives worse than you do about making women’s lives better and it’s fucking harmful to all of us

being LGBTQ+ is not a fuckin ideology??? ""think of the children""??? you could have easily just said "We would prefer to keep heated topics out of our server" and left it at that but instead we have mr "being LGBTQ+ and mentioning it is inappropriate for children!!".
that kind of wording or thinking is NOT "tolerance"

You know imagine going to a trans man’s post about how he is being infantilized and how trans men are portrayed on the news and going “actually I think most of the infantilization towards trans guys is self-imposed as a way to avoid criticism”
GOD. You people are so annoying.

There are plenty of scientific reasons for someone to be transgender.
But even if there weren't, conservatives never cared about science anyway.
There are many Christian beliefs that have no scientific reality. But conservatives still have a lot of respect for people with those beliefs, even those who teach their beliefs to children, and even those who restrict children's access to opposing beliefs.

The victim complex of conservative Christian white men
“I know you’ve heard about Harrison Butker by now, and his embarrassment of a commencement speech at Benedictine College. You’ve probably seen the NFL kicker roasted six ways from Sunday for his misogyny, hypocrisy, and regressive nonsense. People have already written about his stupidity, everyone has memed his nonsense, and conservatives have applauded him for advocating for a return to the 1950s. That is exactly what he was doing, unashamedly. Butker delivered countless awful lines, saying, ‘Things like abortion, IVF, surrogacy, euthanasia, as well as a growing support for degenerate cultural values in media, all stem from the pervasiveness of disorder.’ Which is an ugly mix of law and order rhetoric and sexism, a mix that makes no logical sense but scratches a certain itch in the mind of his conservative audience.
I just want to briefly add to the criticism of this Super Bowl winner, who will probably run for office before too long. Specifically, I want to highlight the inane variety of patriarchal bullshit running through his speech, and his apparent approach to the world. Butker and men like him are trying to sell us a load of hot garbage, and get men to be the worst version of themselves. They’re trying to make us see ourselves as victims, and encouraging us to use that false belief as fuel to go out and hurt other people. We can and should reject that directive.
We should reject it for countless reasons, but I think the place to start is to look at this guy telling us we’ve been oppressed by society and so we should stand up and be real men and tell women to be homemakers. He makes four million dollars a year to kick a ball, he’s won the Super Bowl, and he’s still a miserable person pretending to be a victim. All that wealth, all the success, and he’s going to speak at a college to tell young women, ‘I would venture to guess that the majority of you are most excited about your marriage and the children you will bring into this world.’
As they’re graduating college to go out into the world, he’s telling them to stay home and be mothers. He’s theoretically reached the American dream, and he’s spending his time telling college girls to be ‘homemakers.’
Oh and in the days since his speech it’s come out that his mom is an accomplished physicist.
But nevertheless.”
